History behind East Beach Trailer Park in Galveston, Texas explained in hindsight.

East Beach Trailer Park was established in early February 1963 after the city council voted to grant the permit for the trailer slabs and for the two 10 by 20 foot portable buildings Galveston East Beach Corp laid down the construction work by erecting 48 concrete patio slabs for 733 vehicles and erecting portable buildings for a cost of $26,000 dollar. Trailer Park Planned For East Beach

A trailer park with city-connected plumbing, a restaurant, and bathhouse are being planned by Galveston East Beach Corp.. It was learned today, George Boiler, manager of the property, appeared before the city council Thursday, seeking a permit to erect two portable buildings and to build a trailer park with 48 concrete patio slabs. During the discussion, Boiler said the East Beach Corp. is spending $6,600 to purchase mains for connection to the city sewer system. City Manager Robert Layton said the city cost will be $19,000 for labor to install the lines. The council voted to grant the permit for the trailer slabs and for the two 10 by 20 foot portable buildings. Parking space for 733 cars will be provided near the bathhouse and restaurant, plans showed.

Galveston East Beach Inc. had announced plans to build another condominium twice as large in 1974 on the date of Friday, December 14, 1973 in the Galveston Daily News. East Beach Trailer Park was hit by a tornado on the night of Saturday, September 22, 1984. Sirens alerted residents in the area that Friday night when a tornado roared through the East Beach Trailer Park.
