Aladdin's Tinderbox preserved by the State of Wyoming.

In 2012, the State of Wyoming saved an abandoned decaying mine site called Aladdin's Tinderbox from neglect. The 5 acres of Aladdin's Tinderbox including the tipple, mine shaft, railroad, hoist house, adit, and mine vent were saved and preserved by the State of Wyoming. Aladdin's Tinderbox was constructed as part of the Aladdin coal mining operations during the late 19th century. M.S. Kemmerer opened the mine in 1899.

Aladdin's Tinderbox is located at 24 Highway 24, Aladdin, Wyoming, US 82710.
