This is Michael Mixerr. I am going to review House Of Krazees – Home Sweet Home (2003 Remastered Edition).
House Of Krazees – Home Sweet Home was on cassette only in 1993 on the Latnem Records label pressed up in a limited amount of 300 copies. Due to a lack of funding the album was only released on cassette. This is the album that made the HOK group legendary in the Detroit rap scene. This is what started it all. HOK became a household name in horrorcore rap.
It was in August 2003 during the The Green Book Tour that Twiztid released reissues of "Home Sweet Home" and other HOK albums on their own label Majik Recordz (which is now Majik Ninja Entertainment). Some CD pressings don't have the Majik Recordz logo on the back. The 2003 edition of Home Sweet Home is a repress that has been reissued and remastered a number of times throughout the years.
HOK invites us to embark a journey. The destination is homebound as we enter the home sweet home! We as the listeners are destined and bound to take a trip through hell through hellish sounds of horrorcore rap. Always believe.
Rap meet rock on the song Evil That Men Do making the song a rap-rock song by using a rap-rock combination. The sample used is Man In The Box by Alice In Chains. Using a sample from the rock band Alice In Chains was a genius idea! Because what other rap group has used samples of Alice In Chains in their songs?
Dark Images is a classic track with a classic beat. It's shit needed to be played during Halloween for the thrills.
I rate this album, Home Sweet Home (2003 Remastered Edition), 4/5****!
