The second phase of clean up at San Jose Cemetery II is in progress. Many trees have been cut down to make room for pathways. Many branches have been cleared out. A couple of tombstones and grave markers have been repositioned in the process.
The goal San Jose Cemeterio Trusteeship is looking to accomplish is clear up the south side of the cemetery so pathways can be allotted and established to grave sites in time for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). This cemetery has much so much history dating all the way back to the mid-19th century The grounds of have been prepared for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Volunteers are still needed to help set up.
