Eddie S. – La Revolution EP is a politically inspired house EP by Hispanic engineer Eddie Sancho bka Eddie S. This EP is much different from any of the other house EPs in the world of electronic music due to the political theme of Viva La Revolution. Politics aside, almost anyone can enjoy the deep smooth house music of Eddie S. anywhere. This EP is filled with sample based house music.
Viva La Revolution is a politically inspired house track with a barrage of hard hitting heavy beats over colorful funky electric synths. Hence the “¡Viva la revolution!” sample all over this track. The "ho ho ho" vocal sample in Viva La Revolution was sampled from the 1983 song Visual - The Music Got Me. Overall Viva La Revolution is a very hypnotic house track due to the synths and vocal samples.
Viva La Revolution is a very unique house track due to its political connections to the term “¡Viva la revolution!” , a Spanish cry for political regime change. Viva La Revolution is a battle cry for revolution.
The Scream was produced by Todd Terry. You can feel his influence and presence when you listen to this deep house track. This song is less laid back than Viva La Revolution. The volume inside the vocals are much louder than Viva La Revolution surprisingly.
Hear Da Sound is a techno influenced house track due to the synths and blips used. The track will remind you of an early Moby album, MD III, or Kraftwerk. Hear Da Sound is filled with sample based house music that you will find interesting and calming. This track is more laid back than all of the other tracks that are included on this EP.
I rate this EP 5/5*****!!
