Mixerr Album Reviews #1,941

DJ Sneak ‎– The Sugar Daddy E.P. is a very unique EP which uses a combination of electronic, jazz, pop, and disco. For one thing, most of this EP was inspired by the works and musical talent of jazz legend & producer Quincy Jones. You can hear Quincy Jones influence, sound, and work almost all over this EP despite him not contributing or producing anything on this EP. Songs such as Quincy's Groove and Disturbing Rhythms have Quincy Jones influence and sound all over the place.

Quincy's Groove was inspired by the works and musical talent of jazz legend & producer Quincy Jones. You can hear Quincy Jones influence, sound, and work almost all over this despite him not contributing or producing anything on this song.

DJ Sneak - Quincy's Groove samples Quincy Jones - Beatcha' Wouldn't Hurt Me and also samples portions of Quincy Jones - Back On The Block. The Quincy Jones samples are perfect.

Disturbing Rhythms uses a combination of electronic, jazz, and pop music over a selection of different rhythms. Rhythms used on this song are disturbing hence the title Disturbing Rhythms. Disturbing Rhythms samples portions of Quincy Jones - Back On The Block.

Now instead of the song being the generic 120 BPM or 90 BPM, the song uses a tempo of 125 BPM. Most electronic songs use a tempo of 125 BPM or 130 BPM. The fast paced tempo of 125 BPM or 130 BPM is what gets people to listen to electronic music or pop music.

I rate this EP 5/5*****!!
