Isaac Allerton was an English merchant who established a warehouse at Pack Slip in New York City during the 17th century as early as 1646. Isaac Allerton, obtained a site for his warehouse with sufficient depth of water to enable the coasting craft to come up to it. The warehouse was a prominent feature of the town.

Isaac Allerton was the leading merchant in the New England trade at what was then New Amsterdam and is now New York City. An active trader through whose hands passed most of the trade between New Amsterdam and the New England settlements, and whose warehouse stood upon the shore of the East River near the southwest corner of the present Pearl Street and Peck Slip. George Woolsey purchased the warehouse after having resided here for several years. George Woolsey sold the premises to William Paterson in 1668. The dingy brick building was a bagging and cooperage warehouse at 75 Pearl Street  at one point in time. This dingy brick building was a large building.
