The Enloe Hotel was one of the very best hotels in Beaumont, Texas during the Spindletop Oil boom on 1901. Enloe Hotel was located one square away from the Southern Pacific Railroad Depot and directly opposite of the Beaumont Opera House. Enloe Hotel had 45 bedrooms with all handsomely and newly furnished furniture, with electric fans and lights in each room. Rates for this hotel were $1.00 per day. F. A. Lynch and J. W. Ennis were the owners and mangers who operated Enloe Hotel. They were experienced in the hotel business. Enloe Hotel was built as a house using the European plan (building plan) in 1901. Now this was not unusual because many buildings and structures in Beaumont used the European plan.

According to Texas Trade Review and Industrial Record, Volumes 22-23, Enloe Hotel was damaged by fire in 1917. The fire did $2,000 dollars worth of damage. So repairs were necessary. There was a contract to repair the Enloe Hotel and one for remodeling the building on Pearl. J. Wellman secured a contract to repair Enloe Hotel at a cost of $1,200 dollars. Enloe Hotel continued to operate through 1921 and the 1930s. Even all the way to 1941.
