Mixerr Album Reviews #2,531

Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves Compilation was one of the most anticipated rap compilations of of 1997, 1998, and 1999. The compilation featured talent from all over the South. The album had features from Ludacris, T.I., Slim Thug, Scarface and more. Master P was very skilled at piecing together an album that featured all of its artists instead of just overloading the album with its biggest names giving them national exposure. Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves was advertised during No Limit’s last hurrah in 1999.

Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves Compilation was supposed to be released on November 30, 1999. Sadly the album was never released because Master P made a decision to can the album entirely and cancel its release. That is why Who U Wit? was released instead as that compilation had a more commercial sound than the Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves Compilation would have had.

Now the Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves Compilation was completed. The legendary Pen N Pixel was responsible for designing and arranging the album cover artwork. This was before the bling-bling era kicked in. Their graphics were pretty bland at that point.

This is the hardest album that has never been released. It was going to put Master P back on top until his label feel apart. This was going to be the best compilation No Limit ever dropped. I wish Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves Compilation came out and so do all the other No Limit Fans.

Master P and Silkk The Shocker went off on This One For The Riders. Eddie Griffin is on the hook with P. He’s gonna make some motherfuckin' statements too now. Let's ride this one's for the killers and dealers. The world gonna feel it.

Silkk the Shocker - Our Corner is notable for having a crazy hard hook over a G-Funk sound and some whistles. One of the hardest lines in the song was "Fuck with No Limit niggaz, end up as organ donors" and that’s on the real. The song originally appeared as a bonus track on the How Ya Do Dat single. Silkk the Shocker - Our Corner later appeared on the 2015 digital release No Limit East Emmett Dove Files.

I rate this album 5/5*****!!
