Mixerr Album Reviews #2,321

Andre Zimma ‎– The Turbulence EP is a downtempo house EP which has a small influence of Swedish pop. That makes sense because this EP was released on the Sweden-based label Swedish Brandy. This house release uses a lot of Brazilian percussion and beats. Many of these songs use several layers of instrumentation everywhere. That is why there is such a loud presence on this Andre Zimma EP.

The song M.U.S.I.C. is fueled with handclaps and shakers over Brazilian percussion along with a horn selection. A marimba can be heard playing in the background as more instruments are added. The beats and percussion have a turbulence to them as shift around to follow the tempo.

U Know Like uses a relaxing house sound and vibe over a set of bongos. Chords from the whirlwind electronic keyboard are what make this song relaxing. Colin Corvez and Clara Hill are the ones doing the romantic singing. The song is perfect for a romantic night or a lonely night.

Love Is is a faster uptempo song which uses a loud ensemble of house beats and drums. This is definitely one upbeat song. The violin strums and strings section fits in appropriately with the uptempo sound.

I rate this EP 5/5*****!!
