Mixerr Album Reviews #971

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review Pearl Jam - Alive.

Alive was a demo cassette by Pearl Jam released on Epic Records in 1991. The Alive demo proved to be a classical masterpiece of a demo to Epic Records which allowed the band to later record the Ten album that was to become an international success across the globe. Alive is an end result of fate, quickness, brashness, and hard work of course. The demo album itself mainly sticks to the Seattle sound of grunge rock similar to Sub Pop. Pearl Jam compared themselves to the newly formed Sub Pop label at the time of this demo.

Alive would be the first single from the Ten album released in 1991. Pearl Jam had chosen the song Alive to be the first single for the album Ten. Alive was the best grunge single for this album. I really loved it and you will too! Alive is the best known song among Pearl Jam fans. Pearl Jam quickly became a kick ass faction with this Alive song and Wash as well. Wash was a song that would only be heard on this demo and nowhere else. Wash kicked ass!

I rate this album, Alive, 4/5****.
