What was once the Gray Stone Hotel has been converted into condos. These condominiums will also serve as apartments. Gray Stone Hotel was built in 1930. Gray Stone Hotel was later converted into apartments during the 1960's. It was condemned in the late 1990's due to its structural problems and code violations. This building was not up to code. The Gray Stone Hotel had been refuge for the Knoxville homeless population for a number of years.
