The Great Lakes Field batting cages now face demolition. The City of River Rouge plans to revitalize Great Lakes Field by construction of new buildings and batting cages. Demolition of the batting cages is a future project that is in the works. So far nothing has been done. The city of River Rouge is looking redevelopment opportunities for the property.
