2 Krazy Devils - Flipped Insanity is a long forgotten horrorcore rap album that has nearly been erased from time. Not too many people know about or are even aware this album had existed. Not too many Detroit rap groups can close to being this crazy or wicked as 2 Krazy Devils, NATAS, or 2 Sinz. The album uses wicked brooding synths, unique soundscapes, borrowed samples, and thick bass. The vocals on this tape are considered very low quality.
The underground underdog Detroit rapper The R.O.C. produced the whole album. The R.O.C. is a genius when it comes to production. Skrapz came tight on this tape. HOK (House of Krazees) even makes an appearance. Some of the songs became songs on Season of the Pumpkin and later HOK songs hence the classic HOK sound.
2 Krazy Devils - Flipped Insanity was a project for an album that never really got off the ground. The album was scheduled to be released in 1995. But that never happed. Due to a lack of money, the album never saw a proper official retail release. So the album only existed on dub forms on cassettes between the members. However Skrapz has recently leaked 2 Krazy Devils - Flipped Insanity out to the public. So has another person who Skrapz trusted with a copy of their album.
2 Krazy Devils consisted of 2 people. Blaze Ya Dead Homie was known as Psycho C and Skrapz was known as Krazie. The group folded in 1996 and disbanded.
Wicked One's Rhyme uses a hodgepodge of borrowed samples including The Beatles and DJ Babu. The song has that classic HOK sound all around. Horrorcore rap at its finest. The hook “kick the anthem like this" was later reused on the juggalo anthem from Blaze Ya Dead Homie - 1 Less G.
The bell to the clock just struck 12 o’clock. 2 Krazy Devils on the path leading to hell. Now they are looking for bitch to kill. She was sliced across the chest. Devils are on a killing rampage. Look in the obituary of the Detroit News.
On a higher level of the graveyard, they can only speak on what they see. 2 devils searching for a peace of mind. Trying and almost dying. 2 Krazy Devils are crazy motherfuckers in a crazy world. They were created by God. Look through their eyes. You see strain and pain.
Flipped Insanity uses wicked brooding synths with distortion. The R.O.C. produced the thin beats you hear on this song.
They invite you to step inside a devilish mind. Everyone is welcome to see inside their world to learn and see the meaning of flipped insanity. It’s obvious they were brought up by the wrong people. They were not brought up by religious church people. Now flipped insanity is a wicked one’s rhymes.
Skrapz says Sin is a must. Sin is a must.
Blaze Ya Dead Homie disses Psychopathic Records at the 1:12 mark. He says, ”I’m a maniac with the power to take your life/No need for axes clown faces or a butcher knife/Lets let the show roll/Cuz I’m comin bro/And my face ain't painted/Cuz this ain't a fuckin carnival”
Now this song was recorded way before HOK split up and Blaze Ya Dead Homie joined Psychopathic Records. This is also pre-Halfbreed. Surely Psychopathic Records has since overlooked the diss from Blaze Ya Dead Homie.
Now they tell us the end is coming soon. Can you feel your doom?
Join Us uses Afrocentric beats and elements. The only downside is that there is distortion in the instrumentals and vocals. Thunder sound effects are used throughout Join Us.
Known as 2 Krazy Devils on another level, these 2 psychos from hell are collecting souls. Motherfuckers know they have problems. Just call them crazy. They invite you to join them on the other side. Everything is cold where they dwell on the other side. Hell.
What’s unique about The Cellar is that this song uses only one layer of instrumentation which is simply a guitar. No other forms of instrumentation are used. It’s completely rare to hear a track using one layer of instrumentation. Hearing the vocals can be quite difficult as the guitar notes overlap the vocals. The low quality vocals can be blamed on the distortion.
The track opens up with someone saying, “Welcome. We have been expecting you.” Evil laughter is heard afterwards. The track starts after 7 short seconds.
The R.O.C. is sitting up in his bed. Screams, cries, and moans come up from the cold ground. He feels as if he’s dreaming. What the hell is going on? Things start to get quiet after he hears noises. How should he react? He’s going insane. He hopes God is watching him. These noises are coming from the cellar.
He knows where he’s at. Hell is his only house. In the hallway he walks alone. Should he grab the handle and lock the mystery in his cellar?
Rolling Deep uses some wicked distorted bass over some madd vinyl cuts. 2 Krazy Devils and The R.O.C. rolled deep on this one.
Now there is a difference between the 2 versions of Back 2 Our Gravez. Back 2 Our Gravez 1 features H.O.K. and Back 2 Our Gravez 2 features Mr. Bones and The R.O.C.!
I rate this album 4/5****!
