Kids At Work – Togetherness was released as a limited 12” inch vinyl single by Rooftop Records in 1986. Now the Togetherness single Teddy Riley’s lesser known works from his early days in music production. Teddy Riley mixed this entire soul single himself.
Togetherness is a slow tempo soul song laced with processed thick beats. The slow tempo pace is what makes this song so innocent and sweet. Teddy Riley’s voice is similar to Michael Jackson when he sings on this song. Clurel’s voice is similar to Michael Jackson as well. LaVaba Mallison, Timmy Gatling, and Teddy Riley sang the background vocals on this song although it was Teddy Riley who sung most of the vocals.
Togetherness is about how when you’re famous that finding the perfect girl is going to be hard for you. This song is a love song about the nature of true love. It’s an 80s teen love ballad. The song definitely has that Michael Jackson vibe.
When you are a big star, everyone wants to know who you are. You find that when you are down is when no one is around. Your fame is all over the world. You’re just a human being. There is one out of a million girls who are going to be loving you. This girl is gentle and she’s perfect. She will always be by your side. You deserve respect. Finding a perfect girl for you is hard when you’re famous.
She's So Bad is a high definition hi-fi sound version of So Bad Togetherness mixed by Teddy Riley himself. The song is similar to what you would expect to hear from Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Sheryl Crow, New Edition, or Bobby Brown. She's So Bad is Togetherness revisited. The song definitely has that Michael Jackson vibe.
LaVaba Mallison, Timmy Gatling, and Teddy Riley sang the background vocals on She's So Bad although it was Teddy Riley who sung most of the vocals.
I rate this single 4/5****!
