Handsome JET - ¬(゜~゜)Г album review

Duck [アヒル] is a perfect song to play at night during the peaceful nighttime or smooth daytime. Duck has that peaceful nighttime vibe to it and also that quiet lonely day vibe. The song Duck has a rather happy upbeat vibe yet sad mournful vibe at the same time. Handsome JET himself takes the lead in this song as a vocalist. Take notice of the harmonics used on Duck. Handsome JET is the one playing the harmonica and using a Gibson J-45 guitar.

Jet Boogie is a Handsome Jet melody of all the songs on the ¬(゜~゜)Г album all onto one track. Think of this song as a mega melody. A loud heavy hard rock mega melody is what it sounds like. Hard rock meets heavy metal mega in this mega melody song. The volume is set quite loud! Handsome JET does his usual chanting, singing, and yelling through the enchanted power of music. Handsome JET himself takes the lead in this song as a vocalist.

self-haunting is a dark duo cut with longtime Handsome JET Project members Toshio Sakurai and Handsome Jet. Handsome JET played the guitar. The song itself has such a dark vibe.

Cream Soda was a solo song that was an original composition written and performed by Handsome Jet. He used a Gibson J-45 guitar on the entire song. It is a personal favorite from Handsome JET. He had fun recording this song of his.

Lizard boots (とかげのブーツ) has a Country & Western music meets Enka ballads vibe to it. The song will make you want to cry.

Basically¬ (゜ ~ ゜) Г  is a non-facial person. It is supposed that the face is not understood. Meaning that the face of the person who wrote this album is not to be understood, to be shown, and remain unknown to the audience regardless of what they want to see and hear. [¬ (゜ ~ ゜) Г is a notation used to represent an emoticon.]

Due to budgetary concerns, Handsome JET played using a single acoustic guitar. He used a Gibson J-45 guitar and harmonica.
Songs from Bemani games such as GuitarFreaks and Drummania were not included due to copyright reasons. Even the original songs he wrote for Bemani games GuitarFreaks and Drummania are not on this album.

Toshio Sakurai sang on most of the dark songs such as Duck and self-haunting. YUEI had nothing to do with this album. Despite being associated with Handsome JET in the Bemani games, Yuei-san had nothing to do with the recording or engineering of this album.

The album went No. 1 on the bestsellers for Amazon.jp in indie rock during the year of 2006. It was No. 1 in bestsellers for indie rock.

Only around 10,000 copies of ¬ (゜ ~ ゜) Г were pressed on CD and sold via Amazon, by Handsome JET directly himself, sold at GITADORA LIVE concerts, or were sold at those Handsome JET Live concerts hosted by Bemani with help of Konami. Most copies of ¬ (゜ ~ ゜) Г were pressed sold on Amazon.com.

Sadly however, ¬(゜~゜)Г and Honto (the CD-r that Handsome JET only gave out at concerts) was the only album from Handsome JET that was ever released. Lead singer Handsome JET of Handsome JET Project died in May 2008 during a traffic accident while riding a motorcycle with his friend in Japan. The friend survived while Handsome JET did not. Handsome JET sang a multitude of songs from Konami originals and licensed covers alike. His real name has never been revealed and is not known. Handsome JET Project and Handsome JET himself would have taken off to become a national success in Japan if the lead singer hadn't died.

*Handsome Jet is the name of the lead singer of the coincidental band Handsome JET Project consisting of Handsome Jet, YUEI (Yuei Uematsu), Kozo Nakamura, Brad Holmes, Asaki, Thomas Howard Lichtenstein, and Toshio Sakurai.
*He is credited as Handsome JET or Jetto-san (ジェットさん) as he was in the Bemani games GuitarFreaks and Drummania.

Skrewdriver - All Skrewed Up album review

Skrewdriver - All Skrewed Up was released during the second wave of skinheads in England and the United Kingdom. The album was released on Chiswick Records in 1977 when a lot of various RAC bands (Rock Against Communism) started forming in the UK and across the globe. The band played a leading role in the Rock Against Communism movement. (Yes this is the same Skrewdriver band that would alter go on to be signed to Rock-O-Rama Records known for for its various European white power and RAC (Rock Against Communism) acts.)

Chiswick urged them to become skinheads during the burgeoning skinhead movement in the United Kingdom. This was an attempt for the band to have top selling records. However of their releases on Chiswick sold very well in the UK charts but still had an underground cult following. Skrewdriver was widely known for performing for a skinhead audience. The skinhead audience was large at the time. Certain venues and clubs were reluctant to book the band for performances because of their reputation as a violent skinhead band. Skrewdriver was known for attracting violence at their shows.

This album contains none of the neo-Nazi-themed and white power lyrics Skrewdriver now uses. The first version of the band were not the widely well known white power neo-nazis you hear and see today.

What’s so ironic about hardcore Skrewdriver fans is them claiming that “Skrewdriver is non-political UK punk band.”. Yet on their debut album is a song called Government Action. Skrewdriver fans can be quite stupid at times. (Don’t act like a sour cunt if you don’t believe me.)

An-ti-so-cial is an anti-social punk rock sound that goes against the social norms of society and promotes anti-social behavior. Stuck up bloody cunts and prim conservatives will find this song to be offensive. Other than that, An-ti-so-cial is a classic amongst Skrewdriver fans.

Won’t Get Fooled Again is an Oi cover of The Who - Won’t Get Fooled Again. This version of the song is a classic cover version.

I Don’t Like You is a hateful punk rock song driven by hate and anger with such angst from the band members. I Don’t Like You is known for its early Oi roots.

Skrewdriver - All Skrewed Up is a classic British punk rock album that must be heard by rock fans. Music critics such as AME and AllMusic agree too. Skinheads altogether call All Skrewed Up “a British masterpiece”. Skrewdriver albums on vinyl are highly sought after.

It’s truly a shame that Skrewdriver got into racism and turned into a white supremacist, white power rock band. It’s truly sad and unfortunate that such a cool, hard double-edged band is associated with racism. Yet to punk rockers, Skrewdriver is one of the best punk rock bands from Lancashire, England, UK! They were/are a cool, hard double-edged band.

Nationalsozialismus - Nationalsozialismus album review

(NS) Nationalsozialismus - Nationalsozialismus is an album that represents “an attempted reconciliation of the iconography of the right with the sub-genre of avant garde music”. The album itself is a political album over a  noisy electronic instrumental soundscape filled with sounds of avant garde. Notice the electronic soundscape.

Nationalsozialismus was a one time deal and side project by members of electronic soundscape duo Book And Sword which was released in 1996 on cassette from Sarote Industries ‎as si6 Sarote Implementation Six.

Nationalsozialism (German for National Socialism), commonly known as Nazism, comes from the ideology, goals, and practices commonly associated with the Nazi Party which originated the National Socialist German Workers' Party in Nazi Germany. And of course various other far-right groups with similar ideologies and goals.

Reality is that Nationalsozialismus is an album filled with  completely racist filth and Norse mythology largely for a racist skinhead audience. They falsify usage of the electronic sub-genre of avant garde to promote a racist agenda filed with hate and violence. Nationalsozialismus also uses the electronic sub-genre of avant garde to promote a fascist agenda with goals of promoting fascism.

Notice the Swastika and Iron Cross symbols & emblems on the German soldiers inside the booklet liner notes. That is clearly a sign of racism and hatred. Sarote Industries is a neo-Nazi label.

Not only that, the Nationalsozialismus cassette included a Nationalsozialismus logo pin and a Sarote Industries business card. The booklet was formatted as a A5 size booklet with 16 pages total resealed in an A5 size plastic bag. NS Aesthetic was a companion booklet to Sarote Implementation Six but was sold separately.

The photographs used in the booklets liner notes are impressive and should be archived for historical purposes. Not just for a racist agenda and/or a fascist agenda. Not only should the photographs used in the booklets liner notes archived for historical purposes, the photographs should be archived for educational purposes as well.

English Rose ‎– Proud Nationalist Warriors single review

English Rose ‎– Proud Nationalist Warriors is a double sided vinyl with 2 songs that are filled with proud nationalist themes and lyrics. Rebelles Européens was the label that made this vinyl single possible for the group. The single was dedicated to all the Leicestershire skinheads, nationalists, and national socialists. They basically thanked everyone who helped them.

Proud Nationalist Warriors is an Oi rock song filled with nationalist themes and lyrics that are truly pro-white. The song is dedicated to all the warriors fighting for the white race. "We will have our day” is what English Rose states on the liner notes. The song is about white pride, white power, and white unity. Wasting Away is aimed towards the nationalists and national socialists.

Not all white power rock is bad. Take SHARP for instance. SHARP is Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice which English Rose was a part despite their racist beliefs. It’s not a crime to be pro-white.

Blue Midnight Highway ‎– Entropy Double Single single review

Blue Midnight Highway ‎– Entropy Double Single was issued on CDr as a double single in April 30, 2012 by  Secret Ninja Labs Ltd. ‎The single itself is 100% organic as described on the back liner notes and credits. This means that the performances are 100% organic. Its 100% synthetic instrumentation is another notable feature that comes from this CDr single.

Devil In A Red Dress (Drive By) is backed by a trippy electronic instrumental soundscape. As a matter of fact, the soundscape is quite cinematic. Trip hop meets electronic music on this song. Rich Alison is responsible for providing the foley sound effects. Galaxy is a vivid electronic song where trip hop meets electronic music on this song as well. Galaxy can be noted for its 100% synthetic instrumentation.

2 Sinz - Devilz Night: Let The City Burn single review

This was the most controversial 2 Sinz single to date that sparked a sizable outrage with Detroit politicians and city officials. City officials condemned the single for its subject matter and material. It was mainly the track Devilz Night: Let The City Burn that got attention from politicians and city officials to condemn the single. It got to the point where city officials attempted to ban its release, but couldn’t due to the First Amendment in the United States Constitution.

At the time of single release, the then Detroit city mayor Coleman Young had a chance to listen to snippets of the cassette single and he called the Devilz Night single the most violent record he has ever heard. 2 Sinz responded back to him by saying, "If you grew up in hell, how else could you be?”. This is exactly how 2 Sinz responded to the news media.

Explicit gangsta rap from the streets meets gruesome horrorcore rap on this 2 Sinz single. The sounds are nothing short or sweet. The single is violent in nature of course. Death rap and horrorcore both meet each other as well. The group represents the horrorcore rap scene for Detroit, Michigan also Esham among others.

Although longtime fans refer to this recording as an EP, 2 Sins officially states that Devilz Night: Let The City Burn is clearly a single. It is due to the number of tracks and longevity of its recording duration that fans among others refer to 2 Sinz - Devilz Night: Let The City Burn as an EP.

On the track Devilz Night: (Let The City Burn) is where 2 Sinz idolizes and glories the Detroit tradition of Devils Night. 2 Sinz rap group idolizes and glorifies the crimes of arson, destruction of property, criminal trespass, and vandalism throughout the entirety of the track. The track features 2010s rap star Trick-Trick who also hails from Detroit.

2 Sinz idolizes and glories the Detroit tradition of Devils Night where on every October 30th right before Halloween when group of people set abandoned buildings on fire. Devils Night is a Detroit pastime tradition. Devils Night came and had stemmed from the 1967 riots. The people of Detroit did this because the government still treats us like slaves.

At the very beginning, 2 Sinz plans to let the city burn. They grab the fuckin' gasoline and let the city burn! Lighters are in their hands and they are down to do whatever. Halloween eve is the day people get together. A bunch of crazy fools. Take a look around. They could care less about curfew. Torture the weak so they all know the deal by causing pain towards others.

Later in the track is when 2 Sinz plans to set fire to the church. Everybody in that bitch is gonna burnt too. Happy Halloween as you stare at the sight They gonna show these muthafuckas how to do it right. Lethal is the name that you hear when nothin' goes right. Burn it with kerosene. Can you hear the screams?

I Wish I Was Dead is a “Taste Of Death”. The track deals with depression hence the sad mood and vibe for its setting that takes place. Unsurprisingly the track is death themed. I Wish I Was Dead is both a death rap and horrorcore rap track simultaneously at the same time.

Here is an example of a verse dealing with depression and death.:
death is promised to me
life I can’t go thru wit it
so let me drown in my own body fluid
when I tried to talk didn't nobody try to listen
so don't be surprised when my ass come up missing

Sins 4 Life is the 2 Sinz anthem for the single. Sins 4 Life appears on 2 Sinz - Represent Your City single as Our Anthem (Sins4Life). 2 Sinz also had went under the names 2 Sins and Two Sins throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Back when Mack Ten was a part of 2 Sins. Even the 2010s.

The vocals on this version seem to have a weird reverberated touch to them as opposed to other versions of Devilz Night. Low Life messed around with the reverb setting while he was producing the Sins 4 Life anthem back in 1994. Sins 4 Life was recorded in 1994 around the same time the 2 Sinz - Represent Your City single was released.

A Piece Of My Mind was recorded in 1994. For those who did not know, A Piece Of My Mind was the successor to Night Creeper. Night Creeper was the demo version of A Piece Of My Mind. This version is a lot shorter with alternate lyrics. A Piece Of My Mind came from an angry persons perspective.

2 Sinz experiments with the occult on Dark Lords/Ouija Boards. Occult culture meets horrorcore rap and gangsta rap on Dark Lords/Ouija Boards. Mental Pressure is when relationships go wrong. That happens too often. Mental Pressure samples Compton's Most Wanted - Hoodrat.

The group 2 Sinz was inspired by Freddy Krueger horror movies when they wrote Comin’ To Get Ya. The elements of horrorcore rap are prevalent to this track. 2 Sinz portays a message that the worlds gonna end. It’s just a matter of time.

2 Sinz - Look What HELL Created EP review

2 Sinz - Look What HELL Created was the most controversial 2 Sinz EP for its time which sparked outrage with Detroit politicians and city officials. City officials condemned the EP for its subject matter and material. It was mainly the track Devilz Night: Let The City Burn that got attention from politicians and city officials to condemn the EP. It got to the point where city officials attempted to ban its release, but couldn’t due to the First Amendment in the United States Constitution.

Intro: Into Hell is a violent introduction into the bowels of hell. 2 Sins take the listeners on a journey through hell. Violent Behavior is about a homicidal maniac with no conscience. Low Life plays the role of the homicidal maniac on Violent Behavior. Low Life is a crazy fool.

Johnny Rebel - (Federal Aid Hell!) The Money Belongs to Us / Keep a-Workin' Big Jim

Johnny Rebel is the pseudonym of none other than former Cajun country musician Clifford Joseph Trahan who also known as Pee Wee Trahan. He used the Johnny Rebel pseudonym mostly on racist recordings issued in the 1960s on J. D. "Jay" Miller 's Reb Rebel label from Crowley, Louisiana. However the two songs on Johnny Rebel - (Federal Aid Hell!) The Money Belongs to Us / Keep a-Workin' Big Jim were not racist recordings about race, but about political issues. These songs do represent an attitude which was still abundant in parts of the South during the 1960s decade.

Johnny Rebel - (Federal Aid Hell!) The Money Belongs to Us / Keep a-Workin' Big Jim was a 7” vinyl single set at 45 RPM and was released in 1967 on Reb Rebel. Two of these songs were eventually issued in album format on CD under the title "For Segregationists Only" in 2002 by Reb Rebel Records. Despite the attitudes expressed in the songs we can still learn something from them.

(Federal Aid Hell!) The Money Belongs to Us is a song that is critical of US federal aid programs. Johnny Rebel is very critical of the government’s federal aid programs. The song also criticizes foreign aid.

Johnny Rebel thinks the president will win our trust regarding federal aid by making a sugarcoated speech. With federal aid he thinks he'll win our trust. But federal aid money belongs to us. The money is yours and mine. It’s not the government that's hurting. It's us that's going broke. It’s hurting us. That means you! Johnny Rebel does believe in helping the poor.

This verse is where Johnny Rebel criticized the US Government’s federal aid programs.

Now why should the president take all the credit
When the money we donate is what makes up his debit
Each time a disaster strikes our great land
Federal aid takes the credit for lending a hand

Keep a-Workin' Big Jim explains and describes efforts of Louisiana district attorney Jim Garrison solving the Kennedy assassination after John F. Kennedy was murdered. The song Keep a-Workin' Big Jim is a tribute to Jim Garrison where Johnny Rebel praises his efforts.

While Johnny Rebel would often voice sympathy for Jim Crow-era segregation and the Ku Klux Klan, this was one of the rare times where that was not the case. Specifically this song and the other one mentioned above.

Vicious Trouble - Vicious Trouble single review

Vicious Trouble - Vicious Trouble was released on vinyl in 1990 on the Nick’s Records label of Tyrone Nickerson (R.I.P.). Vicious Trouble is also an obscure Duncan Hines production (The Hines Brothers) as well. Nicole Nikka Green and Theresha LaSean Lewis make up the female hip hop duo of Vicious Trouble. Vicious Trouble was female hip hop duo from the 90s.

If The Guys Can Do It, The Girlies Can Too is a song about female empowerment for women around the world. It’s girl power here. That is DJ Duncan Hines on the beat. The instrumental is quite similar to the one for Smiley's "The Smile Gets Wild". DJ Duncan Hines used the same samples from there.

The production on The Girls R Cold is super dope! The auto-wah reverb effects used make the vocals inaudible for hearing. It’s hard to hear what the girls are sayings. Anyway, these girls were cold on the mic!

Charles Manson ‎– Saints Are Hell On Earth album review

The Charles Manson ‎– Saints Are Hell On Earth album was recorded in 1985 at San Quentin Prison in California. Most of the recording was recorded under imperfect conditions and had to be smuggled in secretly. Sleeve notes state that technical limitations are quite apparent. The album was released in October 1988 on the TPOS label.

What’s amazing is that a murderer such as Charles Manson can record albums from behind prison bars. And yet he was a part of the real hippie movement is astounding. The fact that Charles Manson was a neo-Nazi and a Satan worshipper made his persona and public image worse. Charles Manson has been vilified by the pressYet hardcore Charles Manson fans ad followers think that the best Manson tunes are the prison jams.

Boxcar Willie is a county folk song that was written by Charles Manson. Yes the song is an original. Folk music meets country right here. Summer Road was a warm fuzzy feel to it. Similar to what you would feel on a summer’s day.

The song Little Kids gives off a creepy pedophile vibe that is quite frankly disturbing. The fact that a song called Little Kids is on a Charles Manson album is even worse. The song itself is quite repulsive.

Variety Of Sinz ‎– Wicked AZ Kimistry album review

Variety Of Sinz ‎– Wicked AZ Kimistry is another wicked album that was released on cassette in 1993 from Flint, Michigan that was overlooked and highly slept on. Not that many units were sold. As a matter of fact, Wicked AZ Kimistry is another wicked Variety Of Sinz album. Variety Of Sinz is the most sinful rap group to have come out of Flint, Michigan.

The lyrics are way wicked on the song Wicked AZ Kimistry. Some might consider the lyrics to be too wicked. The song is quite similar to something you would hear from either Esham or acid rap. Horrorcore rap meets the sounds of acid rap on Wicked AZ Kimistry.

Murder 1 is quite similar to Murder One On A Punk Muthafucka by Tweedy Bird Loc. Murder 1 is a murder rap.  40 Fiend produced the track himself. Something's Really Wrong has a dark brooding feel to it hence the appropriate song title. The same can be said for the song Believe My Body's Numb.
