Mad Mone - The Maddening is a mad ill hip hop/rap album that was released in 1997 on cassette only. It’s rare treat to hear anything from Lansing rap because hardly any hip hop/rap comes from Lansing, Michigan. This album is perfect for any rap heads looking for something away from the mainstream or radio. It is perfect underground rap. Mad Mone sounds very much similar to Too $hort and Ron C. In fact he is the Lansing Too $hort.
The intro is a mad ill hip hop/rap introduction that uses a selection of live instrumentation. The intro was recorded on a live set in the studio hence the live band backing the track. The beats are super dope. You see, the intro introduces us to “The Maddening” as the album begins. The intro incorporates soul into rock music.
Yo, kid! This album is ill! He wants you to buy his album. Mad Mone comes straight out of the Mitten State. Nobody does it like Mad Mone!
Is This Life uses dark heavy guitar notes and processed beats. The guitar notes are very dark and are filled with resonance.
Mad Mone has been working these streets very hard and now he wants a fatter cut of profit. He’s making moves in the game. He needs weed to proceed. However his eyes get red. Mad Mone describes himself as the neighborhood Godfather. Alcoholics and fiends keep calling for the product that he holds.

Scandalous Baby Momma is a scandalous brash song about the baby drama in the Lansing area. It’s the usual man-cheating, baby mama drama on this song.
She was his one and only even with all these other shorties up on him. But he paid no attention to him as it was her that he was missing. They used to puff Ls at night. He wanted her every day. In fact, he would kill for her. They got place together. She had his kids.
It turns out she didn’t love him. He was surprised when she ran games on him. He was starting to feel misused by her. You’re trying to make ends meet when you’re in love. She was all he was seeing in his future. How did he get mixed up with this Puerto Rican girl? He now has many regrets. He’s thinking that she’s freaking every weekend. Mad Mone is about to grab the Chrome 1 to commit suicide.
His baby momma got him stressed out. Sometimes he wonders he got mixed up with her. He now regrets dating her.
Days and months pass. And now they are back to talking on the phone. Mad Mone is steady being dogged out by his peers. The kinds need a man in their life. Mad Mone started talking badly about his baby momma. So she had the law lock him up. She was happy to see him locked up. The women play with his emotions way too much. Mad Mone learned his lesson. Never catch a domestic abuse case.
Cash Rules is a track all about how cash rules everything around us. Cash rules and talks. It’s all about money. Mad Mone must have been influenced by the Wu-Tang Clan song C.R.E.A.M. when recording this song. Mad Mone been working these streets. He’s making moves in the game.
Cash Rules uses the sample of Bootsy Collins - I’d Rather Be With You. Soul rap is a term which can accurately used to describe this song.
Lansing Thugnutz is a track laced with a funky bass line pounding your speakers and funky beats with a country touch. Dope and funky are terms that can be used to describe this track.
Mad Mone is on some do or die shit on the track Lansing Thugnutz. He is in vengence mode ready to fight anyone. He is ready to empty out the clips. So haters stay back! The song is good enough to have you stepping or dancing. Lansing is where they make things happen.
The Letter has a Spanish vibe to it due to the guitar playing in the background. The guitar is on a looped track. A Nas sample is used throughout the track. The beat is much louder than the vocals. The song has an East Coast hip hop and rap vibe and touch to it.
Only downside is that the beat is much louder than the vocals which makes it difficult for the listener(s) to hear the vocals. The volume on these vocals are reduced down too much.

Story is a song about a 13 year old hustler with cash who did a lot of crazy things. He had a lot of fancy things such as expensive material things. He drove a fast car but didn’t have a license. Indictment was not on his mind. Mad Mone tried to give the kid advice to slow down. He didn’t want to listen. Now this kid had mad cash and gold links around his neck.
Last week he purchased a Tec-9 machine gun. This kid is rolling hard with a crew he doesn’t trust. All of them have weapons and cocaine. It is suggested that he is selling drugs. The kid sells a variety of drugs.
Mad Mone tried to tell if he didn’t cool his shit down that he would be dead. The Feds are fucking with his head. They already obtained a search warrant to his mother’s house. However luck runs out as the kid is killed that very day. Mad Mone tried to warn him but he didn’t listen.
Now Mad Mone is sitting in the kitchen with his mother. His body is missing. The situation is twisted. His mother had a heart attack and the case was thrown out of court.
W.A.R sounds very similar to an Eminem song or a song that Dr. Dre produced due to its production sound and its thin fast beats. The beats are thin and the bass is medium. The cymbal kit used sounds very similar to a Dr. Dre produced song.
The Get High Theme samples Mtume - Juicy Fruit. Mad Mone made a good choice by choosing Mtume - Juicy Fruit to sample from. Juicy Fruit is an appropriate song to get stoned to. Strip 2 Yo Azz samples the bass line to a Cypress Hill song. This song heavily relies on bass.

DJ Snake - Last Remix was a digital album that was released online only and had all the songs from his debut album that was released in 1994 on Youngsta Records called Till Bass Do Us Part. DJ Snake - Last Remix was released online in August 28, 2014 by Big Ballin Recordz and SoSouth. This album represents some of the best in Dallas hip hop, electronic music, and Dallas bass.
Till Bass Do Us Part is a hodgepodge of samples over scratching along with breakbeats with an ensemble drums and bass on beats. Most of the drum programming, beats, and percussion was done by DJ Snake. DJ AK did most of the cuts and scratches. The bass is blasted heavy throughout the entirety of the album. Samples used on the album range in sub-genres and genres from old school hip hop, gangsta rap, Electronic music, Miami bass, Dallas bass, Screw music, West Coast rap, East Coast rap, rock, and dance music.DJ Snake and DJ AK both showcase their legendary DJing skills on this album!
First off is Moments in Bass which is sampled from Moments in Love by Art of Noise which is a 5 minutes long instrumental track. Moments in Bass is super low bass and heavy hitting high percussion. The beats were programmed by DJ Snake. A genius idea was to turn Moments in Love into Moments in Bass. Who else besides, DJ Snake and DJ AK, would have thought of that?
Buggin’ Bass starts off with an insect in the bass speakers. The main idea is bass on Buggin’ Bass. Low heavy bass is prevalent throughout the 5 minutes of this track. Buggin’ Bass is sampled from 3rd Bass - Step to the AM and Nemesis Oak Cliff (1986 version and not the widely known 1989 version.)
Drop The Bass was a Nemesis track was on the 1989 version of the To Hell and Back album released on Profile Records from New York City. Drop The Bass is a classic Nemesis track! Only this track is an extended version of that track. The track Drop The Bass is the highlight track for Till Bass Do Us Part.
Too Damn Low is a 3 and a half minute long track of low bass. Super heavy low bass with repeated sound samples in ensemble.
Just A Beat (Stomp Action) samples Pink Floyd - Dark Side of The Moon and N.W.A. - On Tha Set. The beginning starts off with the legendary Pink Floyd - Dark Side of The Moon rock sample which is a classic! Breakbeats and programmed drum beats just continue on from there. Vocal samples are added into the mix too.
Snake’s Last Remix is a 7 minute long instrumental track filled with low heavy bass and a repeated sample on percussion. DJ Snake produced the entire song by himself.

Lisa Parade - Out Of The Funbox is a fun album filled with fun folk rock music. The album is filled with positive music and uplifting vibes. A couple of love song were thrown in. This was the debut album from Lisa Pimentel which was released on CD in 2005.
On Comfort Of My Distress, Lisa literally uses colorful language. Meaning that she used colors to describe words, subjects, actions, feelings, and adjectives. The song uses a unique way of describing feelings by using colors to indicate feelings. All the colors inside her comfort her distress as described in the song. They are the comfort of her distress. Lisa lets her true colors fly on this song.
For instance in the first verse.:
Do you ever feel like a hunter green and strong
Do you feel like it’s over red and wrong
Brighter Day is a song about looking at brighter days. The song has a positive vibe to it. It uplifts you spirits when you are having a bad day and when things don’t go your way. Overall the song is very comforting and soothing at best.
However the song is not all bright and positive as Lisa feels a bit of sadness in the song. She is afraid of the things outside sometimes. Here are some lyrics as an example.:

Ain’t About You is song describing how sometimes it’s hard to see what’s real, who to trust, how to feel, or what to say. Lisa says you can have your doubts about her life, but it’s not about you. Ever heard the sayings “I do me.” or “I can only do me.”? Lisa does exactly just that on this song of hers.
Sometimes searching for grace goes a long way which is the case on the song called Grace. In this song, Lisa searches for acceptance and friends. She seeks embrace to find all surrounding grace. Her perspective is twisted but she means well.
No Faith In The Faithless is about struggling to remain humble as human beings. Things do occur in our weakest and uncool moments. The song proves that there is no faith in the faithless. It certainly is a struggle to remain humble during tough times.
Talk Loud is a brash freestyle song where Lisa lets loose. She has fun with this song. She expresses her inner emotions without holding back.
Touchstone is where Lisa seeks solace and for comfort. She wonders where her touchstone went. Lisa searches for her touchstone throughout the song. There is a theme of uncertainty which can also be used to describe the feeling.

Lisa Parade - Finding Flora album review
Lisa Parade - Finding Flora is an album is filled with positive music, uplifting vibes, and of course the occasional love songs. Finding Flora was the sophomore album from Lisa Parade which was released on CD in 2009.
Mi Amore is a short but sweet love song with catchy electric bass and offbeat marimbas for the percussion selection. The song lacks in longevity. Back To Bed is about the tales of a previous lover from Lisa’s past.
The Rhythm Changes uses an ensemble of guitars and percussion. However the usage of guitars seems to overlap the percussion. The song itself follows the rhythm. Take notice of the rhythm pattern. To Lisa it’s just another day. When we sleep, the rhythm changes and the change will pave a better way for tomorrow. The message is to keep on pushing through life by living another day even when things get rough and tough.

Blood Incantation - Astral Spells is a gruesome hardcore rock album/EP filled with gruesome dark songs. The song titles alone by themselves indicate that the album has a dark mood to it. The album is filled with negative music. The album itself is similar to Cannibal Corpse, Killborn, or Carcass. The album was pressed on a red cassette with a limited amount of copies pressed. Only 100 copies were pressed. It was released in March 2014. The album itself is a demo which is why there are only 4 songs.
Hovering Lifeless is a song with negative vibes and darkness. The song has a dark mood. This song is about living without life.
You are somehow made weightless are being moved or levitated by some unknown device in a synthetic gravitational environment. Meaning that you are in a fake environment with no gravity.
You lay adrift in the cosmic tide of ice. Lost to the abyssal waves of time. You lay in a waterbed of ice and are lost to time being unable to move. Floating eternally with open eyes. You are cryogenically frozen similar to how Dr. Evil of the Austin Powers movie series was. Living without life.Celestial epitaph for all of mankind.
Mephitic Effluvia is a song about foul smelling odors which are unpleasant or harmful. Mephitic means foul smelling and effluvia is a word used to describe a an unpleasant or harmful odor along with secretion.
The area reeks of plague and decaying lifeless bodies. Limbless horror radiates the fetid reek of plague where these celestial bodies decay. The aura is suffocating. It’s much worse than any funeral you have ever been to. Tides of blood described were for sacrifice. Born of blood and starspawn.
The Vth Tablet (Of Enûma Eliš) was recorded live in 2013 by the band during a live session. The song describes bacterial remains of humans on a distant planet where voids of eternal night unfurl beneath glares of stars burning.

Myzery - Demon Angel album review
The Demon Angel album was originally announced in October 2010. However that never happened. The album suffered many delays. The reasons for this album being delayed were production times, sampling problems, and distribution issues. That is, however, until 8 years later. Demon Angel album finally saw a release at the 2018 Gathering of the Juggalos and was packaged together with the 20th anniversary edition of Para La Isla as a 2-CD bundle! This album marks Myzery's return to Psychopathic Records.
Now the Demon Angel album is a brand new and unreleased album that has never been heard before. It has that Psychopathic freshness to it. Think Spanish rap with a Puerto Rican touch. It’s refreshing to see old artists back in the game. His street knowledge and passion for the Juggalo universe combines into a uniquely authentic wicked shit from the birthplace of hip hop, and where the scratch was born! Myzery has mad skill. This album is recommended to anyone into horrorcore or Spanish rap. He raps awesomely in Spanglish (mixing English and Spanish).
Internally Bleeding is a sad rap song that matches the beat and flow simultaneously at the same time. Myzery paints a gruesome picture with Internally Bleeding. All parts of the song are not that bad. Internally Bleeding is a strong collaboration among 3 artists, Myzery, Skitzo, and Madchild.
Witching Hour with ICP is a mad ill track! This song came from the 2012 digital album Love/Hate which was released on the Myzery website. Don’t Make Me Angry uses electronica sounds and two-notes from the musical keys.
