Duece 11 Gz album review

The Duece 11 Gz demo is one of the best gangsta rap demos recorded in 1994 when gangsta rap and horrorcore was a high peak. Their entire demo has a dark brooding killer sound of course. Songs such as the highly terrifying Reign of Terror, the mischievous Criminal Mind, and the classic murderous track Murder One are what’s on this album. You have the funky track such as Get Down on the album as well.

The Duece 11 Gz demo was recorded in 1994 at Boomin Studios off of Dort Highway in Flint, Michigan. The recording process lasted from 1994 to 1995 with 7 songs were recorded. All of Duece 11 Gz songs were recorded at Boomin Studios off of Dort Highway. The Duece 11 Gz album never got around to being completed.

Duece 11 Gz demo was issued on cassette as a studio dub in 1994. Only people who part of the Revelation Family or part of the Boomin Records inner circle got this demo. Not too many copies of this demo album exist at all. There is no Duece 11 Gz CD and there never will be. The Duece 11 Gz demo was only issued on cassette.

Now Duece 11 Gz is King Hood Cykoz under a different name and they did not record as many songs as King Hood Cykoz did. They only recorded 7 songs.

Titan says it trips him out that most rap fans like Duece 11 Gz more than King Hood Cykoz because Duece 11 Gz did not record as many songs as King Hood Cykoz had recorded. Most rap fans like Duece 11 Gz more than King Hood Cykoz or UKG. Even more than the King Hood Cykoz demos that were passed out on cassette in Flint, Michigan. This is because their sound was gangster as fuck and higher quality in production. Their sounded was definitely colder. People went crazy when Anybody K came out. Bruce regrets that the album never got around to being completed.

Not many people know this but the Duece 11 Gz demo is what inspired Variety of Sinz to record their sophomore album Hellavish : Blaze For The New Year in 1994. Dwonne Daylove even sampled Titan’s voice on Can You Hang? and Double Up from his verse on Anybody K. That was the coldest shit he ever made. Titan, Bruce, and Randy regret that the album never got around to being completed or mastered.

Here is how Duece 11 Gz formed.

King Hood Cykoz became Duece 11 Gz in 1994 after Titan discovered a group from Ohio ganked (stole) their style. Titan called originally named Duece 11 Gz "211" before realizing there was another rap group by that name.  So he decided to change the name of the group from King Hood Cykoz to Duece 11 Gz. He did so his group wouldn’t be confused with 211 and Swift D. However the group did not last as long as King Hood Cykoz did. Duece 11 Gz split in 1996 due to many different reasons. Members went on to join other rap groups in Flint while others changed careers. Titan was Ovadose, Bruce was Leathaface, and Randy was Dr. Jekyll.

The intro is a very hypnotic intro. These lyrics make the song hypnotic and terrifying yet they compel people to listen to Duece 11 Gz.: “Ooh/Let’s call it revenge/Look at me and tell me what you see” These lyrics are said in a deep vocal tone in a dark manner.

Titan was inspired by Snoop Dogg when he recorded the intro with DJ Clay in 1994. A sample of Snoop Dogg’s vocals are used in the intro which are “Take this 211 to another level”. The intro samples Snoop Dogg - Serial Killa. 211 is the California penal code for robbery.

RUN begins with Leathaface speaking over eerie G-Funk synths produced by DJ Clay. Leathaface does most of the talking on RUN. Leathaface came with the wicked shit for the 94. Titan is the one saying, “Run nigga run/Don’t fuck with a 2-1-1/211/211/211” all over the place. RUN is sort of an intro even though there is already an intro in place.

The terrifying Reign of Terror is one of the darker songs with a religious vibe. Not to mention eerie. Reign of Terror is perfect to add to a soundtrack for a horror movie. So step into the reign of terror with Duece 11 Gz.

Reign of Terror begins with a preacher telling the congregation to be seated and open their prayer guides to the book of revelations to Psalm 69. The prayer guides are bibles.

One time for ya mind. Leathaface comes again. Look at his wicked sins. Niggas can’t hang because they know they can’t hang. You can’t and don’t understand a nigga that is strange in the brain. Tell me why Leathaface has bloodstains on his shoestrings. Leathaface is a born killa. Run, don’t hide. He is loosing his mind. Drinking wine in the sunshine. Leathaface is kicking wicked rhymes that are sending chills down your spine. So hear him rhyme as he fucks up your stereo. You can’t cope with a cyko. Don’t set trip. He didn’t come to bullshit. He came to wreck shit.

Dr. Jekyll is a maniac chilling in a Cadillac. Smoking a joint and drinking Cognac with a gat in his hand. Fucking up the program. You can’t listen to a nigga who is on the edge of insanity and madness. Take a look at his table. There is an ax at his table. Dr. Jekyll rides 20 deep.

When he kills, he kills at will. Can’t stop what’s already done. Those with weak minds need to stay away. Guess who’s back with a fat ass joint? Ovadose is. Ovadose is lonely. Why? Because he wants to die. He is on the edge of insanity and madness the way Dr. Jekyll is. That is why.

Anybody K (Westside Killa) is one of the murderous songs influenced by murder and gangsta rap. The whole song has an eerie vibe with dark cold sound. The song is similar to Variety of Sinz - Murder One and Brotha Lynch Hung - Back Fade. Titan is the one saying, “Run nigga run/Don’t fuck with a 2-1-1/211/211/211” during the hook.

Niggaz are set trippin’ everyday where Leathaface stays. His mind is playing tricks. Being on the run has got him loading up his clip to his gun. Police want him dead as they want to take his life. The West Side ain’t nothing nice.

Leathaface, Dr. Jekyll, Lunatic, and Ovadose are rolling 4 deep getting ready to do a drive by. Leathaface rolled down the window and pulled out a Tech. He starts shooting. Hit the deck because he plans to wipe out your whole set. His click ain’t afraid to set trip. It’s another murder. A 187. Everybody get low and get down. It’s the reign of terror from the West Side of town. Leathaface is a soul seeker and a menace to society. Drinking Hennessy with the Revelation Family.

Criminal Mind was a song recorded by Leathaface in 1995. Titan was not on this song because he was attending college in Vermont. That is why Criminal Mind was a Leathaface solo.

Murder One is quite similar to Murder One On A Punk Muthafucka by Tweedy Bird Loc. Murder One is a track about committing murders. Think murder rap. 40 Fiend and DJ Clay produced the track using a handful of samples.

Murder One is different from the Variety of Sinz version of Murder One which was included on their 1993 debut album Wicked AZ Kimistry. The difference is the presence of Titan as he has actual verses on the song instead just being on the hook. This version of Murder One is the original. The Variety of Sinz version of Murder One is a remix which only features Titan on the hook.

The funky Get Down was influenced by the funky sounds of Kool & The Gang. That is no coincidence as Get Down samples Kool & The Gang - Jungle Boogie. Gangsta rap meets the sound of funk and rock on Get Down. Now Get Down was recorded in 1995 when Titan was attending college in Vermont. That is why Titan is not on the song.

211 is kicking down your front door. So everybody get down as Leathaface comes with some wicked ass sounds. Once again it’s the era of the wickedness. He gets wicked for all them niggaz in the ghetto. Fuck radio play anyway. He would rather get high on a bloody day. He rocks the mic in mysterious ways. You gotta pay to see Leathaface rock the stage. So get down before Leathaface blows you down.

Leathaface is the darkness of town. Niggaz want to be down with the 211 sound coming out of Flint Town. Blaze up another bowl. Don’t jump as he packs a pump.

Here is what happened to Duece 11 Gz. Duece 11 Gz had split in 1995 due to a variety of different reasons. Members went on to join other groups. Some even formed their own groups.

•The main reason was a lack of financial investment towards releasing their music. That was the biggest issue for Duece 11 Gz. Never having the money to invest towards releasing their music. Duece 11 Gz hadn't made any money because of that.

•Rap was looked at as a secondary hobby to the members in the group. Many members in this group were drug dealers, pimps, and hustlers. It was the streets before the rap.

•The other reason was Titan leaving Flint to go to college in Vermont. Him leaving Flint ultimately led to breaking up. This would also cause things to go into a downward spiral thus leading towards a split.

Here is where the members of Duece 11 Gz are today.

•Titan now lives in North Carolina. He moved from Flint in 1995. He no longer records as many songs as he used since he has fallen out of love with music. Titan has gone through homelessness since Duece 11 Gz disbanded.

•Bruce Moore is Leathaface/Chainsaw. He is no longer the same person he was back in the 90s since he is a man of God. He still lives in Flint.

•Randy Jamison was Lucifa/Dr. Jekyll/J Roc. Randy passed away from cancer on 03/15/2019 at 46 years old. Randy was in a group with Bruce called Variety of Sinz. Him, Marc Steele, and Titan were the best of friends. He was in King Hood Cykoz also.

*Duece 11 Gz is sometimes referred to as Deuce 11 Gz.
*Titan called Duece 11 Gz "211" before discovering or realizing there was another rap group by that name.
*Duece 11 Gz is King Hood Cykoz under a different name. Duece 11 Gz served as the successor group after the breakup of King Hood Cykoz.

Ter’ell - Ter’ell’s Groove House album review

Ter’ell - Ter’ell’s Groove House was an album released by none other than Austin, Texas based soul artist Ter’ell Shahid. All of the songs on this album were written, performed, and produced by Ter’ell himself without any other in-house producers or outside help. The album has everything from club anthems to romantic bedroom songs. His sound is sultry and soulful in nature as well as mood.

Ter’ell’s Groove House was released on CD in 2002 by Dark Skin Records outta Atlanta, Georgia. There was no cassette pressing for this album.

Ter’ell digs the way this sexy chick moves on the opening song Sexy. He has been checking out her style as she moves. The premise of the song is Ter’ell keeping his eyes on a sexy chick while checking her out. The song is driven by a jazzy saxophone. Funk and jazz meet soul on this song.

Her style can be described as sexy. The way she comes out of her brand new Cadillac while looking all good makes a brother want to bone. She wears a tight ass skirt. Ter’ell says she looks all good in her tight ass skirt. All his friends know what he means.

Every time he sees her eyes it makes him fantasize about the things they could be doing. He turns into a fool. Clearly he wants to be down with her. Even with his style. Ter’ell loves her body like honey. He has been checking out her style as she dances. He also likes the way she grooves.

4 the ladies in the club is the club anthem dedicated specifically for the ladies which is what Ter’ell intended for with this song of his. You know. The ones that show guys love at the front of the stage. He wants to see the ladies dance. Nothing but good times here.

Ladies. Terell loves to see them at the front of the stage. He wants to her them yell and scream. It makes want to break it down and get freaky. Sometimes he finds it hard to believe that ladies are yelling for him. The ladies show him love at the front of the stage while he performs center stage.

This is 4 the ladies in the club. They came to get it on tonight. So go on and dance. Let the music put your body in a trance. It’s your time now, ladies. So stop standing around looking retarded.

Terell is a fellow with clout. He wants to see the ladies dance.

Throw ur hands in the air! is another club banger and club oriented song with high powered heavy bass and funky guitar notes. Those in the ATX get rowdy.

Terell shows love for his city in this song. People talk about Terell almost everyday whether in the 6th Street District downtown or Riverside. In the club sexy ladies be swinging that ass. Bouncing like hydraulics. Those in the ATX get rowdy. Sometimes Terell likes to party hard in the 6th Street District or at a private club.

There’s a war out here deals with the daily struggles of the working class lifestyle. The song delves into the perspective of Terell and how he struggles in life as a working class member of society. The song deals with the issues he faces such as poverty, income inequality, marital problems, and high expenses. He is tired of all this madness coming from his life. He just wants a better change.

Terell is already ready to start slanging dope. He is tired of all this madness coming from his life. Enough is enough. It’s hard to cope dealing with this shit. His wife is getting impatient. Terell just wants to feed his baby girl. He fights for his daughter so she can live a better life.

Terell sees greed and envy in his house. He wishes Satan would move his ass out. Terell is inclined to take what’s his. Still trying to make his money. He will deal drugs if he has to.

He fakes as if everything’s alright when in reality it’s not. She goes to bed mad almost every night. This world is about money.

Rewards are not for the righteous. Fuck the misery. Terell has been in this life for so long it’s the only life he knows. Sometimes he feels the need to kill so people know that he’s real and not playing around. He feels like a bomb that is ready to explode.

Bangin’ is trippy and funky like LSD or acid due to the bass lines and synths that are used. The beats are bangin’! Can’t you feel these bangin’ beats? So take a hit of his rhymes and expand your mind.

Baby boo coming through. Making brothers drool. Terell can’t complain about the way she shakes her ass. He knows she feels this groove. This groove takes her down low to the ground. Can’t you feel this beat bangin’? Don’t leave a player hangin’. Terell is about to turn that body out.

South Ballin’ is about making money.

Sometimes you have to ball and hustle to make money. Don’t sit there waiting on favors from “the man” or Uncle Sam. Terell is coming up ya’ll. He won’t trip and fall. People in Austin ball.

Terell is one of those people in Austin who ball. Below is an example of how he balls and hustles. He dabbles into illegal activity which is drug selling.

Terell is tired of working 2 jobs working for rich people. Tired of eating steak and corn on the cob. So he feeds rich men powder cocaine in the late night hours. Powder gets them high as a tower. His boss’s daughter wears nice clothes but she powders her nose with cocaine. She’s hanging with hoes. His daughter is jocking him to get what’s in his pockets.

Do you see? His boss’s daughter is hooked on crack cocaine. This is not just a phase. His boss’s daughter is now addicted.

Slow Interlude is the slow jam which slows the albums mood down completely with the infectious synths and Afrocentric beats.

2 Fools in love was a letter to his wife Melanie Blake Hunter. That is who the song is dedicated to and that is why the song is titled in such a manner. This song is a soulful love ballad too. He wants be with his wife to death do them part. They are just two fools in love. Plain and simple.

Jiggle is a perfect song for the dance floor due to the club oriented beats and loud synths. However the synths are as infectious as they are on Slow Interlude.

Real Playa has a reggae vibe. That’s what type of song this is. The song Real Playa educates us on how to love and treat a lady right. Terell speaks on this love game.

Love your lady. Hold her tight by your side to let her know that you are there for love and emotional support. Treat your lady right. Treat her the way you would want to be treated. Like a real playa would and should. Don’t listen to what haters say.

Terell Shahid - African! American? album review

Ter’ell - African! American? is the debut album of Terell Shahid released in 1998. The album has everything from sultry R&B/soul love ballads, motivational songs, to songs that raise awareness, and politically charged songs. Instrumentation for Ter’ell is backed by the Soul City band. Now this album is more Afrocentric themed than all of his other albums (with the exception of his Chocolate City album) due to songs such as Love My Brotha, This Damn Country, and Pass The Peace. Those are the politically charged songs which raise awareness.

Instrument player Danny Weltman truly enhanced the album with the help of saxophone soloist Kyle Turner and bass player Selton Cole. Saxophone soloist Kyle Turner does an extravagant job of playing his saxophone on songs such as Like A Lady and He Will.

Terell talks and sings about all the things his lady will do on the sultry R&B/soul love ballad Things She’ll Do. The things that she will do makes her so irresistible to him. Things She’ll Do deals with anticipation inside romance. The beats and chords follow a mid-tempo pace.

Terell has never seen her move like that before. With the way that she crossed her legs. She never looked upset in her eyes or at least to him. She had the look of sex in her eyes. It was wild. Terell asked her to have this dance with him. She said yes. She took him by surprise.

He got the number to the hotel room she was staying at. He just wants her to hang out with him before she goes away. She said that would be fine. That hungry look in her eyes said so. It was on for tonight. The love was on. Terell was not too scared or afraid. He can’t wait to see the things she’ll do. The feeling of love brings forth anticipation. That goes for anyone.

Let It Go teaches us to not care about the little things when arguing or fighting about things that don’t matter and just let them go. You don’t have to argue.

Terell and his lady got into an argument over something. Maybe Terell has changed and his lady has stayed the same. We don’t have to argue because we’re still cool. He says, “Why do we have to fuss and fight about things that don’t matter?” We don’t have to fight anymore. We can let it go. He tells his lady to keep her thoughts to herself. He tells her to let it go. Sex and love don’t make Terell afraid of her.

Terell asks her during the chorus, “Why do we have to fuss and fight about things that don’t matter? We don’t have to fight anymore. We can let it go.” He does everything to console her and calm her down.

They each want to do things differently in their own way as both of them have their own viewpoints and perspectives. He asks her, “Why do we have to fuss and fight about things that don’t matter to nobody else?” He tells his lady to keep her thoughts to herself. He tells her to let it go. “We don’t have to fight and moan.” is what he also tells her.

Love My Brotha teaches us to love our fellow man and woman. We need to protect one another. The socially conscious song seeks and answer for change and strives for something better. The law can’t make someone love somebody else. Religion and education can. Without support, no one reaches the top.

Majic is a piano laced slow jam backed by a funky guitar played by Danny Weltman. The drums are simply beautiful on the song. It’s majic in the air.

This feeling has come over Terell. He asks his lady to come lay her body next to his. He’ll show her how he wines and dines. All night long. They get deeper in love. It must be the majic spell Cupid had put on her. He never felt like this before.  Her love is so sweet and slow. Her love makes him loose control.

Terell remembers how him and his lady used to fight. That is what he reminisces about. Now she knows better. They both get along to an extent. He offers to extend his hand by taking her to another land. He lets her know that she won’t have to come back to this place. A better world is what both of them strives for.

Terell takes his anger out on the US Government for the mistreatment of African American people in the US. He speaks about how African American people still face injustice even today. This government lies all of the time. Ignorance is still rampant. Even today. This damn country has got him mad and angry.

The song Mr. Nobody brings out the funkiness in this album. Funk meets soul on Mr. Nobody. As always, Danny Weltman plays a mean funky guitar throughout the song.

Pass The Peace looks for world peace. The song tells us look at the people having problems. We need to wake up and solve these problems.

Look at the people having problems. Terell tells us to take a look at all the self-destruction all over this world. People killing each other. People are dying in Africa and getting killed in the Middle East. Terell sings about police brutality in the US. There’s a solution for all these problems. The solution is world peace. Increase the peace. We should have all the love in the world.

Anyone can do everything to bring you down. So now is the time to find a solution. Now is the time to raise the spirit that is deep down in your soul. It will be alright to increase the peace. Take a look around and smell the coffee.

Like A Lady educates us on how to love and treat a lady right. Terell speaks on this love game. Saxophone soloist Kyle Turner does an extravagant job of playing his saxophone on Like A Lady. He gives the song a jazzy feeling, vibe, and tone.

Love your lady. Hold her tight by your side to let her know that you are there for love and emotional support. Treat your lady right. Treat her the way you would want to be treated. Like a real playa would and should. Don’t listen to what haters say. There is no need to fuss or fight. That is the message Terell is trying to convey to us. So treat her like a lady.

Where U'r Daughter Is is similar to Betty Wright - Clean Up Woman due to the way keys, notes, and chords are arranged. The chords copy the same musical notes from Betty Wright - Clean Up Woman such as A# minor, D key, and E key. One could say that Terell covers or does a rendition of Betty Wright - Clean Up Woman.

Terell goes solo on the song Get Wit U meaning that no other musicians or in-house producers contribute to this song. This is the only song on the album where Terell performs all of the music by himself. Funk meets R&B/Soul on Get Wit U. The song has a soulful New Jack Swing feel and tone. On this song, Terell goes through all attempts to get with this lady he has had his eyes set on for some length of time on.

He Will is a soulful song about unconditional love. Saxophone soloist Kyle Turner does an extravagant job of playing his saxophone on He Will. Terell nails the songs with his runs while singing. That is what makes this song so beautiful. This is one of the best songs on the album next to Majic, Things She’ll Do, Let It Go, and Pass The Peace.

Terell Shahid - Chocolate Love album review

Ter’ell - Chocolate Love was an album released by none other than Austin, Texas based soul artist Ter’ell Shahid. The album has everything from love ballads to romantic bedroom songs. So you can expect to hear love songs. His sound is sultry and soulful in nature as well as mood. Instrument player Danny Weltman truly enhanced the album with the help of saxophone soloist Kyle Turner and bass player Selton Cole. Saxophone soloist Kyle Turner does an extravagant job of playing his saxophone as always of course.

Ter’ell’s Groove House was released on CD in 2001 by Dark Skin Records outta Atlanta, Georgia. There was no cassette pressing for this album. The album artwork and design have the layout, design, and color scheme of a box of chocolate you would give to someone you love on Valentine’s Day. Notice the Nutrition Facts label on the back. The color scheme uses the colors of red, white, black, and brown. On the album cover, there is a red heart with the words “Chocolate Love”

Terell lets his wife know that he is there for her on 4U I’m Here. He holds her tight by his side to let her know that he is there for love and emotional support. He is there for her. She said she needed someone. He wants to be there. She is so sexy.

Chocolate Love is an upbeat sultry love ballad laced with a funky guitar. The song is sweet as chocolate fudge and ice cream. Think Next - Butter Love. The song represents black love and black pride.

One Sexual Moment "Interlude" is a jazzy interlude which is an instrumental. Saxophone soloist Kyle Turner does an extravagant job of playing his saxophone on this interlude. He gives the interlude a jazzy feeling, vibe, and tone. The sound vibe are similar to a Grover Washington Jr. song.

Buttabean - Just Give Me 1 Shot : Reloaded album review

Just Give Me 1 Shot : Reloaded is one of Buttabean’s darker albums that was written during a dark period in his life. He was living in his car. He was going through turmoil such as dealing with betrayal, disloyalty, frustration, and anger. That’s why you have and hear songs like Fed Up, Desperate, Split Personality, Life Is A Bitch, Why, If I Was Broke, Fuc U, I Hate U, and Voices. This album is similar to the Psycho Therapy album in terms of mood, style, design, and sound. You can feel the themes of darkness, anger, and betrayal as you listen to this album.

The album was re-released in 2005 on CD by Wreckin The Mic Recordz with the front cover being all in sepia tone. This album is extremely rare and hard to find these days both online or offline.

You can feel the hate on I Hate U. People like Buttabean but he hates them. Buttabean warns listeners to stay away from him as he will kill them. He is not the person to go to when you have problems that need to be solved. Buttabean doesn’t solve problems. Don’t go to him. He just puts you in a coffin. Not often but sometimes he likes to murder people.

Buttabean was trying to make his life better than what it was at the time he wrote this song. He was living in a car when this song was written. Buttabean did what he had to do to survive and get shiny material things even if that included robbery. You don’t know where Buttabean has been or seen. You don’t know what Buttabean has been through. So don’t judge him.

This song was aimed at all the females and their boyfriends who were stalking Buttabean. A lot of females were stalking him. Stalking is a common subject in Buttabean’s songs.

Split Personality is a spectacular rap rock song that is a duo cut with Buttabean and label mate Lil Josh. You can feel the rush and anger as the song progresses due to the lyrics and mood. There is an adrenaline rush that blends with the theme of anger on this song.

Buttabean and Lil Josh are in a room tripping off mushrooms. All in a rage. They make an example out of people of not to fuck with them though murder. Throughout the song they kill and people and bury them. This is reason why you can hear sound effects of bullets flying and guns cock. Buttabean will murder your family and haul you body away in Duce’s Toyota Camry. He means just what he says. Don’t waste his time.

Buttabean is a genius as he comes up with clever lyrics that rhyme. Here are some lyrics that are an example: “Buttabean is a genius/That’s why bitches are itching to jump all over my penis”

Fed Up is driven by hard military styled battle beats. Notice the military battle beats. The beats what stand out about this Buttabean song. Buttabean is fed up with life and wants the Grim Reaper to take him away to a better place. Also this Buttabean song follows a slow pace and tempo.

He is fed up with the way he has been treated. Buttabean is fed up with life. He wants the Grim Reaper to take him away to a better place.

Buttabean sees the Grim Reaper on his back every steps he takes. Counting every bad move and mistake. He is waiting for the day the Grim Reaper will take him away from the place is staying at into Hell’s gates. Buttabean sees the Grim Reaper on his back for all the dirt he did in the past.

Voices is another track of his that was written during a dark period in his life. He was constantly hearing voices telling him to commit unlawful actions. Voices in his head telling him to commit sin. Voices in his head tell him to murder and kill people. Do you ever have times where your mind just wonders? Makes you think of crazy shit. The track is laced with ultra heavy bass and thin cymbals. His homeboy Duce is on the track.

Buttabean wakes up at night with things on his mind. He is all alone. Now he can see things more clearly. He will be along in this world for a long time.

At midnight he wakes up with cold sweat on his face. His mind is going crazy. What did he forget to do today? His life is so hectic. Buttabean is unable to think because of the drugs he took yesterday. Everything will be fine as long as he can catch a good buzz. He should have went back to school with everyone else.

Buttabean is selling compact discs (CDs) for $5.00 a piece. No, you are not getting a discount deal. Buttabean works hard for his dough. His goal in life is to live like a god with money.

Duce is paranoid. His mind could click and go off at any time. Give Duce a reason why he should not take his own life by committing suicide. He has dreams of ending it all and flying high. Duce is drowning in his sorrows while living in this fucking mess.

He is hearing voices in his head to take another soul. Voices in his head tell him to murder and kill people. However he is still having issues with taking his own life. Seeing faces of dead people while he sleeps late at night. Having conversations with himself, talking to the moonlight.

Why deals with trying to survive in a cruel world. This song is Buttabean’s letter to the Lord. His homeboy Duce is on the track also.

You can hear lyrics to the children's bedtime prayer called Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep at the beginning of the track. Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep is a classic renown children's bedtime prayer from the 18th century.

“Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray thee, Lord, my soul to keep;
If I should die before I wake,
I pray thee, Lord, my soul to take.”

Buttabean wonders if he’ll live or if he’ll die. Will he fight to live right or commit suicide? Go for the long ride and make it to the right life. Now it’s time for the final fight. His grandmother was his heart and the Lord took her away from him. Now she’s gone. He hated the Lord for taking his grandmother away from him. He feels trapped in this life.

Things only got worse. That’s why Buttabean wrote this letter to the Lord. He asks the Lord to watch over him at night. Something isn’t going right in life. He can’t help what he feels. He doesn’t belong here. Buttabean has been stuck in this shell for at least 20 years. Voices in his head tell him to murder and kill people. He’s been fighting demons off. Now he’s about to lose his will. He prays every night for the Lord to forgive him. After all he just a man of flesh and blood.

People want to see him fall and they don’t show him love. Back in the 2000s there was a lot hate towards Buttabean because he was a small town rapper from Waco, Texas who was making a name for himself and Waco rappers don’t really support each other. Waco is a small town full of hate. They wanted to ride on his coattails of success.

Come With Me came from the underground sessions (studio sessions) of recording the 2001/2002 album Livin Large. The song is a freestyle. The song is ridden with a fat bass line and dark thick piano notes. The song is fuckin sick!
