Eddie Matos – Gimme All That Jazz EP EP review
Eddie Matos – Gimme All That Jazz EP is one of the more jazz oriented releases from Eddie Matos. In a way he stepped out of his comfort zone by using a different style of music. That is what makes this single of his different from the rest of his single in his catalog/discography. Fans of deep house music will enjoy the sounds of this EP.
Set You Free is one of those spiritual songs that touches your soul and speaks to you in a way. Eddie Matos’ production is amazing, relaxing, and breathtaking as always. He definitely knows his way around the keyboard and drums as he is a virtuoso.
Gimme All That Jazz is one of the more jazz oriented songs on the EP. The songs ultra thick and heavy congas to fit in with the drum rhythm. The song uses groovy acid jazz in freeform. You’ll love how Eddie makes his keyboard organ sound like a grand piano. Now the vocal snippet used in this song is “Give me all that jazz”. “Give me all that jazz” is repeated a second time with the “jazz” echoed at least 10 times. The atmosphere of this recording is so climatic.

Eddie Matos – Deeper Melodies EP EP review
Eddie Matos – Deeper Melodies EP is one of the deeper releases from Eddie Matos which uses that deep house sound. However this release of his uses much lighter production than usual. The beats are noticeably thinner than the synths. Vocal samples are set to a higher volume than the beats. Eddie Matos decided to use thinner beats on this release for some reason.
The song Without Music uses funky bass that makes you feel wiggly over calming angelic uplifting violin synths. Light dance beats are used over several instrumentation layers.
Gotta Hold On delivered a bunch of house beats over warm bass lines. The song teaches us that we’ve got to hold on when things get rough in life. We cannot stop holding on. We’ve got to hold on. Vocal samples are looped in a repetitive manner.

Backintyme – Backintyme EP review
Backintyme – Backintyme uses such deep sounds for a garage house EP. The reason for that is because deep house in incorporated into the songs. Deep garage house EPs such as this one only come once in a lifetime or once in a blue moon. Garage house meets deep house on this release.
Don't Stop, Keep On is the opener for this deep garage house EP. The song uses a huge incorporation of dance music. Of course the song is a dead giveaway and indication of that. The song begins with a few heavy beats. Then some lyrics from a vocal snippet kick in. Keep On, Don't Stop acts and serves as the reprise of Don't Stop, Keep On. This song picks up where Don't Stop, Keep On.
Come Get It uses dance oriented beats over a deep house sound and groove. Come Get it samples the 1978 song Lorraine Johnson - Feed the flame.
Prizmatic is the closer for this deep garage house EP. What’s unique about this song is the use of a disco sample. That disco sample is a snippet of Earth, Wind & Fire - Runnin. The drums are groovy and extra thick. You’ll dig it.

Trinidadian Deep - Depths Of Sound single review
Trinidadian Deep - Depths Of Sound is one of the most overlooked house releases of 2020. This house release uses fresh organic percussion and real deep house sounds. Trinidadian Deep proves himself to be a virtuoso of house music as he always masters production perfectly. This single will take you on a music journey and safari through deep house music as all of the recordings rely solely on real deep percussion sounds.
Balls Deep is a climatic deep house song that will definitely make you achieve an orgasm as the song has an erotic vibe. The rainstick and house beats are what make Balls Deep erotic and climatic. Sweltering beats from the motherland of Africa are used as well.
Project 5am is a relaxing deep house song with a rhythmic percussion selection which uses beats from the motherland of Africa. Real deep percussion sounds are what stand out about this song. This song is out of this world and on point.
Flux is a trance-like house song that is out of this world and will take you on a musical journey through house music. This Trinidadian Deep recording relies heavily on electronic synths and not so much percussion or beats as is the case with the other songs on this single. Flux leans heavily on funky electronic synths and funky bass which Trinidadian Deep seems to be obsessed with.

CZR – Abstract Muzik E.P. EP review
CZR – Abstract Muzik E.P. has some of the best bangin’ tracks to ever have come from the Chicago house scene. This EP incorporates many different genres of music such as jazz, dance, Latin, and techno. This house release is not your typical house release as CZR does not rely solely on electronic or techno but instead many different genres of music. CZR – Abstract Muzik E.P. is the best Chicago house release of 1995.
The song Ghetto Muzik uses a touch of techno, Chicago house, and dance. Notice all those distorted over house styled dance beats. Ghetto Muzik was the song that was constantly being played at all those house parties back in the days.
The song Jazz muzik uses a fusion and combination of house and jazz music. Notice the horn sample over a thumpin’ bass line backed behind a timpani drum and a kick drum. That horn sample is what gives this song a jazz edge and vibe. Jazz meets house on the song Jazz muzik.
The old school jam Banda Muzik is known for sampling Latin music. Banda Muzik samples music from Banda Z over modern house beats. Now those house beats are what give this song a modern edge yet the old school sound remains intact and unscathed. Banda Muzik was another one of those songs that was constantly being played at all those house parties back in the days all over Chicago.
Now the reputable hard house song Structure not only flooded the Chicago scene. The song also flooded the Los Angeles scene in 1995. Structure had massive amount of air play on the radio in both cities. The song is decent despite the repetitive nature of the electric synths and house beats.

CZR – Muzik Expedition E.P EP review
CZR – Muzik Expedition E.P. will surely take you on a musical expedition and journey through house music. This CZR EP uses a combination of electronic and techno thus creating a tech house combustion. International House Records puts out the best tech house singles from Chicago. However a majority of these songs are produced in low quality. Usually International House Records produces such high quality house records that are perfect. However this release is not one of those high quality house records normally put out.
Digital Funktion is similar to early electronic music as the production and sound quality is set very low. Similar to 70s electronic music. Digital Funktion is one of CZR's harder tech house songs which uses techno based beats.
Ghetto Booty is known for using buildups and a hilarious vocal sample which makes the song classic. You will laugh your ass of when you hear the vocal sample “Put it in my face!”. The buildups for this song starts around 0:58 and 1:45. This is one awesome house song.
Celesta is driven a large kick drum and a set of shakers. A tambourine is also adde to the mix between the background of techno beats and low volume electro synths. The sound quality for this song is set way too low for song produced by CZR or International House Records. Usually International House Records produces such high quality house songs that are perfect. However that is not the case with this song which is disappointing to many.

MC Mell'O' – Comin' Correct / Wize single review
MC Mell'O' – Comin' Correct / Wize is one of the earliest Britcore releases from the United Kingdom. His debut single served as an example of early Britcore which was a part of the UK hip hop explosion that rocked London during the 1980's. This is Brithop. British hip hop/rap at its finest! Each song included on this single is an absolute classic. His single was mixed by No Sleep Nigel. MC Mell'O' – Comin' Correct is a single of early British hip hop that has long been overlooked and almost nearly forgotten. This single is must have for any hip hop fan.
The lead track uses such wicked fresh Britcore sounds. The song is known for using such hard beats. Comin' Correct is an example of early Britcore and early Brithop. Comin’ Correct was produced by UK dance music producer Tony Thorpe. Sparki did some programming for the song. However Tony Thorpe did a majority of the production for this song. MC Mell'O' comes correct on this song. His superb delivery was ahead of the curve on this song of his. MC Mell'O' is one of the greatest MC's to come out of the United Kingdom and Great Britain.
Wize uses a handfuls of soul samples with hardcore beats over fast rapping with a tempo between 110 BPM to 130 BPM. A fine example of Britcore. The song is wicked def! Wize sampled the following songs: Myra Barnes - The Message From the Soul Sisters, Lyn Collins - Think (About It), and James Brown - I Don't Want Nobody to Give Me Nothing (Open Up the Door I'll Get It Myself).
Bizzie Rhymin' was produced by DJ Pogo with vinyl cuts used by DJ Biznizz. The entire song is an example of perfect underground hip hop which uses such raw lyrics. The song showcases his lyrical ability and skill as a lyrical heavyweight. His superb delivery was ahead of the curve. The song is wicked dope and fresh! Tony Thorpe didthe entire production for this song. Bizzie Rhymin sampled The Vibrettes - Humpty Dump.

MC Mell'O' - The First Chronicles Of D.E.T.T. single review
The First Chronicles Of D.E.T.T. is one of MC Mell'O'’s more overlooked singles from the 1990’s which did not get as much exposure or success as his previous singles Comin' Correct / Wize and Open Up Your Mind did. Sadly this single could not much up to the success of those singles despite having distribution from RCA & BMG. The single leads more toward the classic hip hop blueprint than sticking to the Britcore sound as before. He leans more toward using the conscious hip hop sound which a more mature sound. That is evident on songs such as I Hear Voices, Radics Delight, and What Can I Do. Sparki produced a majority of his single.
I Hear Voices deals with MC Mell'O''s paranoia. I Hear Voices was the buzz single of this single. The single only received minor airplay on the radio and did not hit any charts. He felt terrible at the time recording this song.
MC Mell'O' hears voices and crazy noises. His mad paranoia’s making all his choices. Because when he is home all alone in the dark at night, him and the dark start to fight. He gets kicked to the floor by dark. Blows from the dark bereft him of consciousness. He feels like his sanity has left him. He tried to block out the sound of voices telling him lies. So he covered his ears.
These are what the voices inside his head are saying, “You will never make it, no matter how you try.” “And don’t trust nobody ‘cos nobody’s got your back.”
The madness continues. His brain is burning on fire! The voices get louder. Their pitch gets higher. It’s harder to think. So he prays to the father to help me. His soul has been invaded by a voice in his head which manipulates and confuses his mind.
His body is found at the scene of a crime. MC Mell'O' is lying on the floor, wide-eyed as the dark surrounds him as he has been beaten. Covered in faeces and urine. He is screaming at those voices, “Leave me alone!”. MC Mell'O' banged-up in a jail cell of his own mind and now the darkness controls him. He loses the fight and the voices now own him. That’s fucked up!
The madness continues. The dark has him up as those voices hound him. Those voices tell him to slaughter and “hand ’em high”.
He hears voices and crazy noises. Controlling them was something he was not able to do. He is possessed by the darkness. No lights are coming through. He looked in the mirror and sees the reflection of a madman. Eyes blood-shot and red face. There’s bruises and cuts on this mad mans face.
Yelling into the depths of the madness is what he does next. He freaked out. MC Mell'O' has to break free from insanity. These walls of madness can no longer hold him. So he reaches for the door to flee to the great outdoors. He is making all his choices. The darkness is murdered and dead are the voices.
What Can I Do is a conscious song about to do when dealing rage and other emotions. What Can I Do was another single which came from this single. The single only received minor airplay on the radio and did not hit any charts. Thick hard beats are used throughout the song over a dark mood and sound. He uses quite a Yankified accent here.
This conscious song is known for the phrase, “What can I do to release all the rage?”. MC Mell'O' wonders what he can do to release all this rage he has pent up inside of him. He is clearly in a troubled state of mind as there is so much going on inside his head. People have been making him crazy mad. Rage has embraced him. That rage now consumes him. Life is now overwhelming.
He takes a second to reflect his fears. He does not like what he is seeing. Everyone he sees and views is bad. People have been making him crazy mad. Rage has consumed him. He tries to hold his rage in. Light is consumed by the darkness. He asks himself the falling questions. “What can I do to release all the anger?”, “What can I do to release all the rage?”, and “What can I do to release all the pressure?”. Next he wonders about what kind of moves he should make.
Mek Dem Know uses a mixture of old school hip hop/rap and reggae. The song is totally fire. A calming melodic flute is used and can be heard playing quietly in the background.
Radics Delight is a socially conscious which deals with police brutality. MC Mell'O' hates crooked police. So he unleashes his thoughts and feelings about police brutality. Radics Delight sampled Melvin Van Peebles - Come on Feet Do Your Thing.

MC Mell'O' - Mell 'O' Gone Crazy single review
Mell 'O' Gone Crazy is another one of the lesser known singles from British rap artist MC Mell'O'. The single uses that hardcore Britcore sound. Hardcore hip hop is what you can expect to hear. Highlights of this single include Mell 'O' Gone Crazy, Firm Stance, and Talk Dem Way. Sadly this single could not much up to the success of his previous singles in the late 80s and early 90s. That is why this release is one of his lesser known singles.
Mell 'O' Gone Crazy uses a mixture of old school hip hop/rap and reggae similar to how his song Mek Dem Know did. He uses a Jamaican Patois accent. The song uses an extremely loud horns selection. The song has the classic iconic phrase, “GET OUT MY WAY CAUSE I'M A BLOODY MAD MAN!” He can rock a rhyme like no other. He didn't play in the 90’s.Talk Dem Way uses a mixture of old school hip hop/rap and reggae similar to how his song Mek Dem Know did. He lets his voice be heard and known with his vocal presence.

Agora – Latin Connection EP EP review
Latin meets deep house on the Agora – Latin Connection EP. Nearly more than half of the EP relies on Brazilian samba music and Latin rhythms. This entire EP is filled with incredible house classics. Standout tracks are Samba Party, Sambapella, and Jam Beneath The Groove. Samba Party uses samba music from Brazil. Notice those timpani drums and mallet percussion selection. This perfect tribal house right here. Samba music will put you in a groove. Jam Beneath The Groove includes a great flute solo over latin rhythms. This song is an underrated and overlooked samba jam. Sambapella is a mixture of acapella and samba music from Brazil. Sambapella is a house classic that is out of this world and ahead of its time.

London Posse – London Posse single review
London Posse – London Posse was a part of the UK hip hop explosion that rocked London during the 1980's. This is Brithop. British hip hop/rap at its finest! Big Life put out the best British hip hop singles in the 1980s. Each song included on this single is an absolute classic. The single uses a raucous mixture of reggae and hip hop. My Beatbox Reggae Style is a perfect example. London Posse uses classic old school emceeing. The single cover was shot on the escalators at London's Leicester Square tube station going up. London Posse was able to shoot on the escalators because they knew Yazz who was the station manager's daughter.
My Beatbox Reggae Style uses a raucous mixture of reggae and hip hop. Classic beatboxing is used over old school emceeing. Tim Westwood mixed this. Tim Westwood also mixed the song London Posse. The song uses a mixture of reggae and hip hop too as the song My Beatbox Reggae Style did.

Hot Tin Roof – Junk And Desire album review
Hot Tin Roof – Junk And Desire showcases the lighter side of alternative rock from Cleveland, Ohio. The sound is similar to The Buzzcocks, Audioslave, Big Audio Dynamite, Duran Duran, and Voxtrot as this album undoubtedly uses a huge edge of pop rock. 4 of the songs came from the 1990 album Hot Tin Roof – Alive.
However the production is very subpar and is considerably low quality. The low quality sound indicates this album used low quality production hence the low volume in sound. That is because the 4 songs from the Alive album were recorded from a Live remote broadcast during the WMMS / Scene Breakout Concert at the Phantasy Nightclub in Cleveland, Ohio on June 17, 1990. Although Hot Tin Roof has a strong sense of harmony and melody, their choices in production are questionable.
Warm Jets is very Duran Duran. Hot Tin Roof seems to have mastered their own twist on Euro pop. The song uses an industrial sound. Industrial meets synth-pop and alternative rock on Warm Jets. The song uses some crunchy guitar riffs. Tom Lash uses such sophisticated words in his lyrics to this song. Read these lyrics for example: “For a fractured heartbeat and a lyric earned”
Why do we always move so fast forward? As times go by, it flies too quickly. That is factual indeed. These lyrics explain how time goes by so quickly. “As times go by, it flies too quickly” The way you shimmy and shake is like a sinful tune.
These lyrics explore and explain how there is inspiration even in denial. Sometimes when you are searching for something in life and you are in denial. However there is a spark of inspiration left inside you even if there is denial.
And I find myself searching for the words
And the chords to explain my life
Here's my true confession
There's inspiration even in denial
And I find myself searching for the words
And the chords that just might lure you
Into my life
But if plans go astray
I'll find compassion even in denial
Heart of Darkness is one of the more darker and gloomy songs on the album. In fact Heart of Darkness is one of their darker more gloomy songs in their discography. Heart of Darkness is a love song written out of desperation and pain.
It comes as no surprise when he said goodbye. It was the last time you ever converse or meet him. In those empty hours when you're lonely and blue, you believe that your head is filled full of lies and your heart is full of truth. Lyrics to Verse 1 explain this in direct detail.
It comes as no surprise
When he said goodbye
It was for the last time
In those empty hours
When you're lonely
Lonely and blue
Believe your head full of lies
Your heart full of truth

I will keep you safe here
Console you deep inside

Dreaming of days
Dreaming of days gone by
Victoria's Secret is about how it is a secret how lady named Victoria crowds people’s head with pleasure, junk, and desire. A dark and questionable secret.
A lady named Victoria came in a vision last night. She spoke like a choir in a chorus of light. She took me all the way from torment to delight. She turned pain into pleasure in other words. Victoria lays on a bed of roses with a crown of thorns in the midnight hour. She's midnight dark with fever and scorn. And when the wind cries out, it's the calm before the storm. Every thing calm before things start to get chaotic.
These lyrics use such vivid imagery that is not too explicit.
On a bed of roses
With a crown of thorns
She's midnight dark
With fever and scorn
And when the wind cries out
It's the calm
before the storm
It's Victoria's secret. She's crowding my head with junk and desire. You need her to fuel and fulfill your inner desires. This is all done out of desperation.
Her brightness shines through cathedral glass She kicks the souvenirs of the past. She said, “Don't go away. Just make this moment last.” Victoria is desperate as she needs your company, attention, and affection. She does not want to see you leave and go away. She's crowding my head with drunken desire. You need her cool the fire. You understand all her tears.

Hot Tin Roof – Fixation album review
Hot Tin Roof – Fixation was a digital alternative rock album that was issued as a digital download on bandcamp for streaming in 2018. The album basically serves as a compilation of previously released songs from their demos and EPs that were released in the 80s & 90s. Silverback Anarch was responsible for uploading this release. The sound is similar to The Buzzcocks, Audioslave, Big Audio Dynamite, Duran Duran, and Voxtrot as this album undoubtedly uses a huge edge of pop rock.
