Various – Shades Of House Deep & Jazzy compilation album review
The Various – Shades Of House Deep & Jazzy compilation album is considered to be a musical chill pill as this album is laced with cool sounds and tonic tones. Deep house meets jazz and dance which is fairly advanced for an album that was released in 1995. This album brought forth a new generation of sound to the New Breed label along with all the other compilations. DJ Smash compiled these songs for this compilation.
New Jazz Swing is where upbeat swing jazz meet the sounds of futuristic electronic deep house music. The piano gives the song that smooth swing jazz sound. On top of that, New Jazz Swing has that 90s electronic sound. DJ Smash is a virtuoso of jazz music.
2Much uses a mixture of deep house, garage house, and dance on their song Passion Play. The deep house sounds are prevalent on this song.
You can feel the groove that is inside of the electronic saxophone when you listen to the Thomas Colon song Keep On Pushin'. The song uses an Afrocentric percussion selection over a firm soundscape of garage house. Keep On Pushin' is perfect for the dance floor or lounge. The song Keep On Pushin' is a fine example of garage house. Notice how the beats are thick and plush. Thickness and density of the beats are perfect.

Dirty Fingaz – Crime Scene single review
Dirty Fingaz – Crime Scene is one of the more obscure releases and singles from the New Breed label. This single is laced with jazzy hip hop instrumentals with funky phat bass lines, obscene loud guitar notes, jazzy trumpets, and phat beats. Mike Dabrowski is Dirty Fingaz. Sadly not else much is known about this release.
Crime Scene is laced with foley sound effects from a crime scene. Now the beats are absolutely thick and extremely loud. The song serves at the title track and opener. Da Dum Do Dat is backed by funky phat bass lines and obscene loud guitar notes. Those guitar notes are hat help give this song a sense of loudness and lively presence. A borrowed vocal sample is used and gives away a climatic vibe. Fresh Phonto is a fresh jazzy hip hop instrumental produced and arranged by Dirty Fingaz.

The Bedroom Boys – Work single review
The Bedroom Boys – Work is a perfect example of deep garage house. This single uses a mixture of deep house and garage house. The sounds of house music can’t get any finer than this. Now this entire single has that early 90s electronic sound with the thick bangin’ beats and repetitive vocal samples. Who knew the jazz hop label New Breed Records could produce such quality electronic deep house music?
Work uses a mixture of deep house and garage house as the song is laced with thick bangin’ beats, medium bass, and repetitive vocal samples. Medium bass is what makes this song groovy. The song is perfect for a good workout too. This song is also perfect for the dance floor or lounge. Work uses a vocal sample and bass loop from Cymande - Bra. Work is The Bedroom Boys spin of Kerri Chandler - The Old Office. Work samples Cymande - Bra and Kerri Chandler - The Old Office.
Bop House is another great example of deep house and garage house mixed together. The Bedroom Boys pay tribute and homage to house music on this track.
Where Is The Underground? is known for using a lot of jacking and techno beats with the borrows riffs & melodies. Where Is The Underground? samples the chord stab from Inner City - Good Life. This is quality deep house music right here.

Jerzzey Boy – A Jerzzey Thang single review
Jerzzey Boy – A Jerzzey Thang is a fine example of New Jersey garage house. This record is a fine example of garage house revival as each song on this record will make you want to dance. Which in part is because this record was released during the revival in 1992 as house and garage were at its peak height in the underground with extremely high popularity. The early-to-mid 90s’s were the best period for house and garage. Unfortunately people missed out on this record the first time around as this record is difficult to find anywhere these days. This single is a must have for any house lover!
Jerzzey Boy was inspired by Tony Humphries when producing and arranging songs to use for this single. Gee's Groove is one example of that where Tony Humphries’ sound is evident.
The song Dance will make you want to dance and uses a killer Inner City vocal sample over loud garage styled deep house beats. This song is also a fine example of garage house revival. Lovely background vocals are laid over the electronic instrumental.
Gee's Groove serves as another representation of New Jersey garage house most definitely. This is one of those songs which will make you want to dance as the beats are defiant and all over the place. These compelling beats pan from left-to-right and right-to-left with such spacious audacity. Shakers, crushed drums, and handclaps are what make Gee's Groove infectious and compelling. Jerzzey Boy was inspired by the sounds of Tony Humphries when producing and arranging this song.
Do You Want Some More uses a bit of 50s doo-wop in the vocal sample over light bass notes, light hearted shakers, doubled layers of percussion such as an xylophone, and over-sampled flute notes. The doo-wop is what really stands out.

Jerzzey Boy – Who Dunnit? EP review
Jerzzey Boy – Who Dunnit? is a decent garage house EP which was released from the state of New Jersey in 1993. You will love that classic New Jersey garage house sound from this record. You can’t go wrong with Jerzzey Boy in the house! Madd Bizzy, Pick-It, and Bottoms Up are the highlights for this EP.
Pick-It uses that classic New Jersey garage house sound with those thick house beats, light shakers, noodling low bass, and bells. You will love that classic sound from this song. The tambourine drop at 2:31 is also what makes this song great and enjoyable to listen to.
Madd Bizzy is a classic house song and a top favorite among Jerzzey Boy fans. That is because Jerzzey Boy fans fell in love with the song when it was first released in 1993. Those lovely sustained xylophone bars are what make this song thrilling and enjoyable to listen to. This song serves as a highlight and top favorite out of all of the songs that are on this EP.
Kurtosis is one of those rare tracks that does not get a lot of love. Those chords are sustained and use a reverb in such a lovely manner.

Jerzzey Boy – Time’s Up EP review
Jerzzey Boy – Time’s Up is a decent garage house EP which was released from the state of New Jersey in 1993. You will love that classic New Jersey garage house sound from this record. You can’t go wrong with Jerzzey Boy in the house! Take A Ride, and Yesterday are the highlights for this EP.
Take A Ride delves into disco jazz roots which why you have that saxophone. The music will free you mind as soon as you hear those house sounds. Jerzzey Boy made a good choice by using this song as the opener for this EP. Not too many electronic musicians delved into to the disco jazz roots back in the 90s. That’s not to say they didn’t. This song is great.
Stop Playin' uses such thin beats that are too bland. The beats and bass are set way too low which makes this song the worst the song off this entire EP.
E-Bo uses a sweet hazy trancelike vibe, sound, and style. Trance meets garage house on E-Bo. E-Bo delves into pretty deep house sounds and instrumentals. Jerzzey Boy into the roots of dance music with beats, chords, and synthss.
Yesterday uses more Afrocentric drums and electronic beats than all of the other songs. These Afrocentric drums and electronic beats are what make the song relaxing not to mention calming.

Fontasia – The Underground Church Mass EP review
Fontasia – The Underground Church Mass EP is one of those garage house releases which flew under the radar. Not too many garage house releases can get deep like this one. Music Trance and Praying are examples of how deep this EP really is. Now the songs are not too hedonistic. The beauty of it all is that there is hardly any distortion or static.
Praying uses some rhythmic congas over dance styled beats and a looped viola sample over an electric piano. This is one of those songs that will put you into a deep groove.
Music Trance uses some sick bass lines over whirly organ riffs and Latin drums. You can tell a whirly organ was being used. That funky organ is what makes this song stand out. More layers of instrumentation are added as the song goes forward. One example is chords being added.
Vocal Feel is one of the more refreshing tracks with a loud and lively presence thanks to those ultra-thickened bass chords and smokey organ keys.

Fontasia – Wildlife EP review
Fontasia – Wildlife is a totally deep garage house EP that was just as deep as the Fontasia – The Underground Church Mass EP. Not too many garage house releases can get deep like this one. This EP is a must have for any house lovers! Sadly this EP is very much overshadowed and overlooked. That is an understatement.
Love Me is a cheeky electronic garage house love song with a cheeky and smokey vibe. Blood Vibe uses such smokey riveting organ keys and electric synths which will latch deeply onto your soul internally. The song is laced with that synth pop sound and deep house. The Break is backed by a funky bass line, flutes, and a piano. Songs such as Blood Vibe, The Break, and Happy Moments bring back those happy moments of your life.

Jerzzey Boy – Highways single review
Jerzzey Boy – Highways is a single that is a must have for any lover of house music. The single is laced with that deep garage house sound undoubtedly speaking. Sadly this EP is very much overshadowed and overlooked. But that did not prevent this single from becoming a garage house classic. The single has house classics and dancefloor numbers such as Everybody, No Love and Dis 1.
Jerzzey Boy teaches us on No Love that it is better to have loved than have lost. People never realize what they have until it’s gone. All the loving, caring, and sharing. It really doesn’t mean anything until you don’t have it anymore. Many people spend their whole lives in search pursuing for someone to love. That is rather ironic. No Love is perfect for the dance floor, loft, and lounge. The song is a classic to its own right. No Love uses a sample from Man Friday - Love Honey.
Dis 1 is a hot garage house song! The song uses such thick loud shakers over several layers of instrumentation. What can I say? This shit is hot!
Everybody uses very light electric synths and keys in such a lighthearted manner. The song follow an uptempo bass chord over a vocal sample borrowed from Teena Marie. This song will make want to get on the floor and dance. So everybody get up and let’s dance! Everybody get up!

Myakka – Escape From N.Y. EP is a forgotten New York house record that is truly an amazing gem due to the provocative house beats and over-sampled vocals. This EP has everything you would want and expect from a house EP. You can never go wrong with house music on vinyl. Oh yeah! City Life is one sick house track. Runaway Traxx – Runaway Traxx EP review
Runaway Traxx – Runaway Traxx EP is one of the most overlooked garage house releases from New Jersey that is a classic house record. Ronald Burrell did a great job with producing this EP. Beautiful melodies and rhythms are used on this EP.
Sing The Melody uses beautifully sampled vocals which follow and sing a melody over a mellow yet upbeat house instrumental. This is a highlight for this EP. Vocals are what make this song stand out as a highlight. The song follows that “da-da-da—dum” rhythm and and hums over thin house beats.
Reach Out is a late night groove and dance floor mover which was produced by the great Ronald Burrell. His production is great as always. That sax sample is what makes the song so great and classic. That sax sample gives Reach Out a jazzy edge and sound. Reach Out is still a classic today that is played at house parties in New Jersey. Jazz meets garage house on Reach Out. Dum Track is a dumb track which is quite reparative and gets annoying very quickly. The song lacks substance and is uninspiring.

Double-O-Seven – Can I Get A Hit single review
Double-O-Seven – Can I Get A Hit is some of the most beautiful yet overlooked R&B/soul out of Houston, Texas. The sounds of sultry R&B/soul are what you can expect to hear. Double-O-Seven hit off the high notes beautifully when singing. Both of these songs are perfect for a sensual romantic night in the bedroom. This is also one of those obscure releases that sells for over $100 dollars when sold online. Pretty solid for a vinyl single that was released in 1995.
Now what’s interesting about this single is the fact that this single starts off with an interlude rather than a song as nearly all singles normally would. This interlude is a 25 second long interlude.
Can I Get A Hit (Radio mix) is the most beautiful sultry song off this single. Double-O-Seven hit off the high notes beautifully when singing. The song is perfect for a sensual romantic night in the bedroom. A perfect song for when you’re in the mood. However the radio version of Can I Get A Hit is shortened for timing purposes.
The lyrics “Can I get a hit?/From your head to your toe/I’ll make you hit a high note” and “First I want to touch your thigh and whisper in your ear” are intimate lyrics that are sensual and romantic which also get straight to the point. Things are hedonistic here.
Can I Get A Hit (R&B mix) is the most beautiful sultry song off this single. Double-O-Seven hit off the high notes beautifully when singing. The song is perfect for a sensual romantic night in the bedroom. A perfect song for when you’re in the mood. The R&B mix of Can I Get A Hit is more intimate and explicit than the radio version. The R&B mix of Can I Get A Hit is much longer also.
The lyrics “Can I get a hit?/From your head to your toe/I’ll make you hit a high note” and “First I want to touch your thigh and whisper in your ear” are intimate lyrics that are sensual and romantic which also get straight to the point. Things are hedonistic here.
The Pump The Split mix of Can I Get A Hit is much louder and uses thicker beats. This version is called Can I Get A Hit (Pump The Split mix).
Can I Get A Hit (Paralystic mix) is an even louder remix of Can I Get A Hit (Pump The Split mix). This version uses much louder beats. Whistles are added in the background. More spoken word is used in this mix than all the other mixes.
Take It Off is the bonus track for this single. Take It Off uses more urban based sounds. This song is also perfect for a romantic night.

DJ Dez – Natural EP EP review
DJ Dez – Natural EP is one of the many downtempo hip hop albums next to Take – Third Story that got overlooked during the mid 2000s. The EP is hip hop mixed with that electronic sound. DJ Dez uses a sound similar to trip hop on this release of his. You can never go wrong with downtempo trip hop. Now this entire EP is hip hop instrumentals over electronic music with beats that will have your head nodding. Detroit Detour uses that raw Detroit techno sound. Pull Out The Nine uses raw head nodding beats over hip hop grooves.

DJ Assault – The Fuckadancemania E.P. EP review
DJ Assault – The Fuckadancemania E.P. is a vinyl EP mixed with that Detroit ghettotech sound and groovy hip hop. A hint of electro music is used of course. The EP has electro movers such as Belle Isle Tech, Bootyhole, No Vaseline, and Check Stub. Those songs did numbers on the dance floors of underground clubs in Detroit.
Check Stub is the electro mover that did numbers on the dance floors of underground Detroit clubs. The song consisted of a few techno beats and electronic synth lines. The simplicity of only using a few instruments is what made this song stand out. DJ Assault adds a bit of social commentary to the song. Check Stub samples Kraftwerk - Home Computer.
Here is the definition of a check stub: A part of a check that is kept for record keeping purposes. For example, the stub is the part of a payroll check that includes information about the current pay check as well as payments to date. The check stub can also be a carbon copy of a check that is made when the original check is written. A part of check that shows how much a person makes.
Belle Isle Tech uses that raw Detroit ghetto tech sound where techno meets electronic music. This song has that West Coast vibe due to the beats. The beats used on this song slap. Bass is what makes the song Detroit Summer a classic ghetto blaster. Hip hop is used everywhere on this song.

DJ Assault – The After Party E.P. EP review
DJ Assault – The After Party E.P. is one of the hyphy ghettotech EPs with an electro sound and vibe. Not bad for a 2009 EP. The After Party is one of his more overlooked releases in his discography altogether. The EP has electro movers such as Accelerated Funk, Love The Pussy, Yo Relatives, and If U Ghetto.
Love The Pussy is horrible to the point where it ends up being catchy. The beast master does a bit of crackle crackle on the song. The “crackle crackle” portion is what makes Love The Pussy hilarious. You can definitely feel 90's vibes on this DJ Assault song. Livin' The (Good Life) is a masterpiece that has soul. You’ll love how DJ Assault made the song so simple. A large amount of Ghettotech beats are used here.

DJ Assault – Full Frontal Nudity EP review
DJ Assault – Full Frontal Nudity EP is one of those techno house EPs with an electro sound and vibe. This EP has upbeat uptempo nature and sound because each song follows a tempo of 130 BPM. Undoubtedly though, this EP uses electronic analog synths and drums machines which gives away that provocative electronic sound. Full Frontal Nudity is one of his more overlooked releases in his discography altogether. However that is not surprising since this release is a digital download. The EP has techno house movers such as Pitbull and Blow Job.
Pitbull uses slightly retro techno house styled analog synths and upbeat electronic beats. Those upbeat electronic beats follow the uptempo nature. The song uses over-sampled annoying vocal samples and looped foley sounds. Dog growls that are heard sound like regurgitating stomach acid. While not too intrinsic or intense, DJ Assault manages to transform this song into a techno house movers for the dance floor. This song is yet a highlight for the EP.
The song Blow Job uses beats that will want to make you move your feet to the beats which follow a techno house styled rhythm. The electronic analog synths blend in perfectly with the provocative electronic beats over the processed heavy bass. This song is another highlight for this EP.
You can’t have a Detroit techno EP without a song titled Twerk Dat Booty. DJ Assault returns to using the original ghettotech sound on Twerk Dat Booty as he graces the track with his intrinsic production using electronic analog synths and drums machines which gives away that provocative electronic sound. You can definitely hear and feel the “Accelerated Funk” on this DJ Assault song. You can tell just by listening that he uses rap style vocals on the song.
Full Frontal Nudity uses more upgraded modernized analog synths and drums machines which follow an uptempo rhythm and sound. The tempo is 130 BPM.

Underground Resistance - Somewhere in Japan EP review
Underground Resistance - Somewhere in Japan EP is one of the lesser known EPs from the production label and group Underground Resistance. Somehow this EP got overlooked in the Detroit techno scene. The audio quality of this record uses a mixed balance of high quality and low quality. This Underground Resistance uses lo-fi acid techno mixed with that retro electro soundscape.
Good Time uses analog synths over low bass and electronic blips. The electronic beats are crispy and thin. Those analog synths will make you feel wiggly and want to dance. Unfortunately Good Time is rather low quality song. DJ Skurge edited the song.
Find Your Friends uses much thicker electronic beats and analog synths than Good Time. Those bongos blend in perfectly with those electronic which are programmed at an upbeat tempo. The blend warped down vocals give a sense of club ambiance and nightlife. A tambourine is added to accompany the electronic sound and rhythm. Find Your Friends uses higher quality production than Good Time.

Underground Resistance - Radioactive Rhythms single review
Underground Resistance - Radioactive Rhythms is another under appreciated yet overlooked Detroit techno classic. The songs on this single use caustic lo-fi acid techno mixed with that retro electro soundscape. Crisp thin electronic beats and techno beats are what is used in these songs. Each song is top quality. Techno meets electronic on Radioactive Rhythms. These songs are retro techno classics. Detroit techno at it's finest.
The song Radioactive Rhythms use crisp thin electronic beats and techno beats. However bongos which are used have a slightly distorted feeling and soul to them. Bongos, snares, and handclaps are what make the song infectious.
Subversive Communications has that pure 90s techno sound with repetitive blips and crisp thin techno beats. Those dark synths are what warps the song unexpectedly around the 2:00 mark. Subversive Communications will remind you of the song Lil Louis - Jupiter.
A Thousand Questions is a tribal house oriented techno song. You have much thicker beats from live drums that are used. The beats and drums are used intensely throughout the song.

Pittsburgh Mass Authority – The Garage Commandments EP EP review
It’s nice to see and hear a house release to come from the city renown for its steel mills and steel production. Which is what Pittsburgh Mass Authority – The Garage Commandments EP is. Pittsburgh Mass Authority – The Garage Commandments EP is a house vinyl EP from the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that was released in 1997. Greg Cash produced the EP on his Pittsburgh Soul Recordings label. This EP is a rarity and is now considered as a collectable as only 300 copies were issued on vinyl.
Some Luv' is an excellent house song which is unsurprisingly similar to a love song. The vocal snippet “Some love and affection” come from the song Tina Turner - What’s Love Got To Do With It?. The beats are extremely thick and loud. The song is a perfect dance floor mover for the club and lounge. The groove of this song will get you going. Such true deep house style can be heard on this song also.
She's A Big Girl Now uses a bunch of crunched up beats which sound very distorted over an extremely repetitive vocal sample. The beats are very light and luscious. The song was a banger in Pittsburgh clubs. A drop for this song begins at the 3:58 mark.
Can't Nobody uses crunched up distorted dance beats over a looped vocal sample in the manner She's A Big Girl Now did. The song uses an incorporated edge of 70’s funk blended in with dance house. This song was another song which was also a banger in Pittsburgh clubs.

Pound Boys – Mile High Sounds EP EP review
It’s nice to see and hear a jazz house release an electronic house EP come from the Mile High City known for ski lifts and winter resorts. Who would have thought such a jazzy jazz house EP came from the Mile High City? Pound Boys – Mile High Sounds EP is an electronic house from the city of Denver, Colorado which was released in 1999.
Great piano work by Andrew Drummond can be heard all over the EP. Dance house meets the sounds of jazz house on this EP. Most of these songs delve into the deep house style. This EP here is a fine example and classification of jazz house.
Sadly this wonderfully jazzy house EP is very much underrated and did not receive much radio play as deserved. Despite being underrated, Sherman Street Groove and All Jazzed Out managed to be breakout hits in the underground of the Mile High City especially at night clubs. Andrew Drummond never fails to disappoint when he plays on the keyboards on any house song.
La La uses some dope tribal house beats over dance house sounds. Notice how the synths sound. You can feel the raw energy on this song as the beats are very lively and energetic. The drums programmed by DJ Craig C.
Delicate jazz house meets the upbeat uptempo sounds of deep house on the song Sherman Street Groove. Sherman Street Groove showcases some wonderfully great piano work by Andrew Drummond plays on the piano and DJ Craig C programmed those house drums using a 303 drum machine.
Sherman Street Groove showcases some wonderfully great piano work by Andrew Drummond. Andrew Drummond never fails to disappoint when he plays on the keyboards. Those piano keys are very jazzy and delicate sounding. Those piano keys are what certainly give away a jazzy sound. A fine example and classification of jazz house. Such true deep house style can be heard on this song also. One word to describe this song is jazzy.
All Jazzed Out uses a deep house sound and style over a jazzy keyboard and a delicate grand piano. The jazzy keyboard is what gives this song a jazzy sound and edge. Jazz meets house on All Jazzed Out. Such true deep house style can be heard on this song also.
Not too many people know this or are aware of this but a sample of a Kerri Chandler song can be heard at the end. That is the bonus for this song.
Now the best parts of this song are the jazzy keyboard parts which are clearly out of this world. Andrew Drummond never fails to disappoint when he plays on the keyboards. He is a virtuoso on the keyboards himself as almost nobody else can master the keyboards proficiently and clearly as he can in such an electronic manner.

Ectomorph – Stark EP review
Ectomorph – Stark is a great minimalistic record which uses a dark electro sound. A handful of electronic music fans call Ectomorph – Stark one of the best Ectomorph releases. Ectomorph with dark electronic sounds here on this EP. Two examples are the songs Silver and Time Fold. Now Ectomorph usually into that retro electro sound. He stepped outside his box on this release.
Silver uses a dark bass line and infectious handclaps over sci-fi rays as the song uses a minimalistic style of electronic music. Silver will remind you of Drexciya, deadmau5, Lil Mark, Zoo Brazil, or Underground Resistance.
Ectomorph experiments with using thick darkened bass lines that ware warps and perfect to dance to on the song Time Fold. Ectomorph’s Time Fold will remind you of old school techno. This song is similar to his songs Handclap and Malfunction. This is a dark electro sound.
Malfunction uses old school retro electro sounds with the synths and chords along with sound effects. This song sounds similar to an Underground Resistance song or a song by Drexciya.

L'Homme Van Renn – The Man single review
L'Homme Van Renn – The Man is a house release that takes it to church. This house release has a great gospel feeling and gospel sound mixed with electronic house dubs. This house release is one of 430 West’s most underrated house releases. L'Homme Van Renn – The Man is quite advanced and futuristic for a house release from 1994. (Never Will Forget) Love And Affection, Flex (Pump Mix), and The (Real) Love Thang are the highlights of this 430 West single.
(Never Will Forget) Love And Affection (Extended Club Mix) uses such a bouncy soulful sound with a great gospel feeling and gospel sound. The beats are soft and luscious. Love And Affection is honestly his best song from 1994 which is due to the great gospel feeling. Here this song searches for intimacy through love and affection. We all need someone to love. A sensual touch is what we need sometimes.
Flex (Pump Mix) is a perfect house to turn work out to or just dance to. The lyrics are quite provocative and sexual in nature. The song mixes 70s soul with 90s house.
The (Real) Love Thang uses a warped electronic organ that gives the song a great gospel feeling. This song also takes it to church. This song explores and explains what real love is. Love can be the real thing if it is genuine. We all need someone to love.

Waajeed – Shango EP EP review
Waajeed – Shango EP is one of the most underrated house EPs of 2017 that did not receive enough acclaim or enough love. The Change EP was criminally underrated sadly. 3 house styled dance floor movers were included. Each track is worth listening to without skipping. You cannot say that about nearly most house EPs in the genre of electronic music.
Winston's Midnight Disco uses an influence of deep house sound and bits of 70s disco. That is how and why disco meets deep house on Winston's Midnight Disco. This is an amazing track from Waajeed. What makes this track so relaxing and heavenly are the synths and chords. You can feel vibrations coming from those synths and chords when this track starts playing. Waajeed does a good job making the beats match up with the synths and chords in a timely manner too.
Dance music meets the deep house sound on the title track called Shango. The beginning of this track is backed by a single electronic horn from a keyboard. Shango is a great dance song with incredible drums, percussion, and horns. The horns, drums, and percussion are what make this song an incredible dance floor mover.
Better Late Than Never uses such groovy retro electro synths over snaps and snares. The electro synths make this song so smooth. That is why Better Late Than Never is a good house track despite not being as upbeat or as uptempo as Shango or Winston's Midnight Disco. Nevertheless this track is certainly a dance floor mover at the club.

Symplx – Hover single review
Symplx – Hover is an upbeat warpy acid techno record from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada that is far out of this world and way too futuristic for 1996. Who knew such a futuristic acid techno record could come from Canada? All of these songs will make you feel wiggly as this record is quite bizarre in a sense.
The track Hover uses warpy upbeat techno synths you would hear during a difficult level in a video game. You can feel the intensity inside of those chords and synths. The song is quite infectious. This is definitely one of those songs that will make you feel wiggly. Recall uses a loud flanger which pans all over the place from left to right, right to left. The song uses a 2-step beat and rhythm pattern.

Geoff Gains – The Hook single review
Geoff Gains – The Hook was a hit single that gave Geoff Gains underground fame in nightclubs around New York City while serving as a DJ for the Twisted America house label back in 2003.
Sonik was a successful track for Geoff Gains as the song made a name for him in nightclubs around New York City. The song quickly gained underground fame despite no radio play. This was the track which made the playlist of many major name DJ’s such as DJ Vibe, Danny Tenaglia and Junior Vasquez among others. The track uses advanced updated techno synths over tribal house beats and drums. You can hear and feel distorted hums which transitions quickly into distorted static. Sonik is an example of the days when Twisted America ruled tribal house music.
Sonik Dreamz is an alternate version of Sonik. The song uses an insane electronic drop at 2:28 which uses quite a robotic sound. A set of robotic sounding synths are used at the 2:58 mark. You can hear and feel intensity of this song. You’ll absolutely love how Goeff turned piano keys into electronic synths at the 6:03 mark. Sonik Dreamz served as the follow-up song to the 2003 hit Sonik.

Geoff Gains – Tribal Patrol / 2 Dance was single that was released in 2004. Just before tribal house faded away as a sub-genre and disappeared. Tribal house was no longer trendy thus becoming less popular. This single was the follow-up single to his successful 2003 single called Sonik. Both of these tracks are layered with multiple drums and beats over a progressive tribal house sound.
Tribal Patrol is a unique track which uses several drums and beats over tribal house sounds. Tribal Patrol is an example of the days when Twisted America ruled tribal house music. A noticeable bass drop begins at 2:18 which is where you can feel the intensity rising as more instruments are simultaneously added. A set of creaking futuristic sounding synths can be heard at the 5:07 mark. Wicked buzzes can be heard at 7:28.
2 Dance uses more electronic beats than tribal house beats. The track is layered with multiple drums and beats over a progressive tribal house sound. The track is hot. Around the 6:00 is where you can hear more layers of instrumentation start to kick in. Now what makes this song calming and intense in the same setting is use of a didgeridoo. The didgeridoo can be heard around the 7:40 mark of this track. From there on out, the didgeridoo is played until the end of the track. A muffled horn can be heard right around the 9 minute mark at 9:00.
5/5*****!!
