Aphex Twin - Collapse EP EP review

The Collapse EP is another masterpiece from virtuoso and electronic music producer Aphex Twin. Now most Aphex Twin releases almost never fail to amaze or pleasure fans of his audience. Unique electronic soundscapes are used on many of his songs. The calm chilling yet ambient tune Pthex is included and so is the darker electronic tune MT1 t29r2. Electronic music from the 2010s can’t get any better than this.

The tuning and staccato drums are what make a perfect vibe on 1st 44. The tuning is perfect. 1st 44 is one of those songs that will really stick in your head for an extended period of time. 1st 44 will make make you appreciate the dopeness of Aphex Twin. Always good when electronic sounds organic.

Pthex is the bonus track to the Collapse EP which I’m sure many of knew about already. The track is a great calm chilling yet ambient tune with ethereal chords and a surreal feeling.

MT1 t29r2 is one of the much darker tunes on the EP which is not as calm or ambient as T69 collapse or Pthex are. This electronic tune is definitely more upbeat in tempo and nature than the other songs. The bells deep bass, chords, and percussion are what make this Aphex Twin song beautiful.

Chris Gray ‎– Intelligent Emotions EP review

Chris Gray ‎– Intelligent Emotions EP is another one of Chris Gray’s more emotional EPs which emits and showcases several moods in tone and nature. Blueprints For Your Mind, Rain's Love, and Diffused Emotion are some of the highlight tracks off the EP.

Blueprints For Your Mind is known for having a modernized futuristic electronic feeling and sound. Blueprints For Your Mind is driven by a digitally processed and filtered kick drum beat from a drum machine backed behind some diluted pristine modernized electronic synths. The soundscape is quite futuristic for a song produced and recorded in 1997. Chris Gray fans call Blueprints For Your Mind a house masterpiece.

Rain's Love borders on the line of IDM music and deep house. (IDM is intelligent dance music.) The song sounds vastly futuristic sounding than all of the other songs on the EP given the atmospheric abstract sound and style used.

Porsha - s/t album review

Porsha’s self-titled album was another R&B/soul album with an urban edge. Her singing leaves much to be desired. Included on this album is the soulful song Nothing Stays The Same and Someday.

Here is how Porsha’s self-titled album came about.

She landed her first local record deal with Royal Records, which set the platform for her signing with No Limit Records. Porsha discovered a love for music at an early age performing in her community. She landed her first local record deal with Royal Records, which set the platform for her signing with No Limit Records in 1997.

No Limit Records was dabbling into the R&B/soul market after the success with Sons of Funk and Magic. They decided to have Porsha (Keryl Silas) release an album since she was already singing hooks and choruses for other artists on the label. The album was executive produced by Master P and others. She wasn’t well-known in the mainstream, but she was known in her hometown as The Porsha, a nickname given to her by her coach, Master P.

She was slated to be the first true R&B singer on the record label under the stage name Porsha. However this did not happen. Porsha’s self-titled album was another No Limit album that never was. Her self-titled album was supposed to be released on No Limit Records on July 20, 1999 but never got released. This was because other albums from other No Limit artists were being pushed and promoted. Her debut album was simply just not a top priority for the label. Sadly No Limit dropped the ball by not dropping this album. Master P should have expanded his No Limit R&B/soul roster as they had some much talent. Honestly Porsha should have dropped an album.

Unsurprisingly lot of No Limit albums that were advertised didn't come out during that time for whatever the reasons were. A lot of these covers were designed before the albums were even recorded. Master P was putting out albums like an assembly line. Porsha’s self-titled album was one of those albums that was constantly advertised in No Limit albums throughout 1997-1999. Her album was no longer a priority for the label as No Limit stopped advertising her album in No Limit albums by 2000 despite being the main female vocalist on almost every No Limit album from 1997-2000.

However there are some people out there who claimed the album dropped and was sold underground on the down low. There are some people who they have heard and previewed her debut album.

Porsha is currently married to a football player and coach named Stephen Silas. She remains out of the limelight and social media. Today she runs two company called Claim It Productions and BEQUEST MUSIC LLC which inspire young people to follow their interests. Porsha is now Keryl Silas.

The soulful song Nothing Stays The Same features production and sultry vocals from label mate O'Dell. Both of them had energy in their vocals. You know the saying, “Nothing stays the same on a lonely road.” Nothing Stays The Same is a powerful song with a strong message. The song serves as a beautiful understanding about love.

Nothing Stays The Same was one of the most played music videos of 1999 on BET and was advertised in the Billboard Magazine. This song was one of No Limit’s greatest R&B/soul hits.

Nothing Stays The Same came from the platinum 1999 soundtrack "Foolish" and the 1999 soundtrack Hot Boyz. The song was also used in the movies Hot Boyz and Foolish. Now some of you may remember this song which played at the end of the Hot Boyz movie when Kool was reminiscing about the memories of his girlfriend Lashawna whom he had lost.

It's foolish to hide the pain because nothing can shield from the rain. We all know nothing stays the same. So stop holding it in. Don't play no games.

Everytime O'Dell closes his eyes, he starts fantasizing about Porsha and him being all alone. All of their hesitation gone. O'Dell loses control more each day. These feelings just won't go away. He’ll give Porsha what she needs. Love, touches, and ecstasy. He can’t go another day like this because it's foolish.

Everytime O'Dell closes his eyes, he starts fantasizing about Porsha and him being all alone as evidenced during Verse 1.

[Verse 1: O'Dell]
Everytime I close my eyes
I just start to fantasize about you and me all alone
All our hesitation gone
Let's stop the foolish games we play, we play
I lose control more each day, each day
These feelings just won't go away
I'm screaming just to make you stay
All give you what you need
Love and touches, ecstasy
I can't go another day like this
Cause it's foolish, foolish

Both O'Dell and Porsha realize it’s foolish to hide the pain. They know nothing stays the same. Their pain cannot be hidden.

Porsha wonders why she should hold her feelings inside. It's hard for her to realize that. She has to stop wasting time if she wants to make O'Dell all hers indefinitely to a new level of fidelity. It's hard to look him in the eyes. Porsha cannot hide her feelings. She had felt a sense of chemistry when they first met.

Porsha sung the most poetic lyrics in her verse which went as follows:

When we first met I felt a chemistry
Like it could be more between you and me
It's hard to look you in the eyes
Cause my feelings I cannot hide

Someday is a sad heartbreaking breakup song. Porsha sings about how someday she will break up from her current relationship with her lover. Someday she will take her love back. This is because her lover does not know how to treat here. She will take her love back. She tried to save their shared love. However he acted like he didn’t care. She asks her herself everyday. All they do is fuss and fight. She was his only friend who stuck beside him through thick and thin.

Now someday Porsha will be gone. Then he will realize how she tried to save the love they both shared. However he acted like he didn’t even care. She asks herself why she stays every day. Every day she asks herself this. All they do is argue, fuss, and fight. Someday Porsha will fly away because her current lover does not know how to treat her. She will travel to a place far away to reclaim her dignity that was stolen from. Her dignity was stolen from him. She was his only friend who stuck beside him through the thick and the thin.

Someday is a song which was produced by Ke'Noe and had featured Ke'Noe. The song uses calming 90s R&B/soul style of instrumentation in the production. Ke'Noe is a genius producer due to his production style.

Minds Of Mischief - Unexpected Changes album review

Minds Of Mischief - Unexpected Changes an iconic 90s rap album with showcases both gangsta rap and soul rap. The album is a mixture of Jodeci and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.Minds Of Mischief was one of the Houston rap groups that never got true recognition for their raw talent.

“We play living life trying to maintain” is the motto and main message for the song called I'm So Tired. The song deals with struggles and changes in life. Why We Cry is a gangsta rap soul song with a real hip hop and harmony. The harmony portion exemplifies the soul portion of the song. Perpetrators has some smooth Southern shit with the eerie G-Funk whines and G-Funk synths.

Short Circuit - Gone AWOL album review

Short Circuit - Gone AWOL is a hard edged lyrical rap album with hardcore lyrics and poetry. The album has that East Coast flow and feeling. Short Circuit’s lyrics have much stimulation to them. Short Circuit - Gone AWOL was a representation of some of No Limit’s albums from the late 90s. Short Circuit was one of No Limit’s finest lyricists as he was super creative and lyrical.

Now Short Circuit - Gone AWOL was the No Limit album that never was. Short Circuit - Gone AWOL was supposed to be released on No Limit Records and their sublabel imprint No Limit East in 1999. Gone AWOL was to be released on No Limit before they left Priority Records. However his album remained unreleased because Short Circuit was incarcerated. He was serving a sentence in prison at the time his album was supposed to be released. That is why Gone AWOL was never released. He had so many songs recorded for his Gone AWOL album which never got released. Everything was different with the tank when Short Circuit got out of prison. His Gone AWOL album was no longer a priority for the label as other albums from other No Limit artists were being pushed and promoted. No Limit fucked up by not dropping this album.

Unsurprisingly lot of No Limit albums that were advertised didn't come out during that time for whatever the reasons were. A lot of these covers were designed before the albums were even recorded. Master P was putting out albums like an assembly line. Gone AWOL was one of those albums. The production team never had time to fully mix and master the Gone AWOL album.

Now the album was supposedly released but took off the shelf immediately within less than a few days. Gone AWOL remained fully unreleased until 2019 when Short Circuit himself leaked songs from his album onto his YouTube channel. Of course his other songs have been leaked by various YouTube channels over the years.

Not many people know this but the original title of this album was Freedom Or Death. However Master P changed the album title from Freedom Or Death to Gone AWOL. This proved to be a smart marketing strategy because Master P knew what he was doing. Master P was the one who made the executive decision to change the title.

I'm Gone is considered to be one of Short Circuit’s hardest songs and is the hardest song on the Gone AWOL album. Short Circuit has a flow and style similar to Cam’ron on this song. “Man, it’s like that pouring rain/That fine miss/That greed in your vains” Short Circuit raps with an East Cost flow here.

Now the horns section is what made the song quite smooth and soothing. You can also hear the tape hiss and distortion from the production in this song. Mo B Dick and Short Circuit brought that East Coast flavor, style, and sound to the song.

Bring My Burners is one of Short Circuit’s most well known songs. This was also one of his most lyrical songs next to I'm Gone. Bring My Burners was a song which came out on the No Limit Soldiers Compilation album in 1998.

Now not many people knew this or know this fact but Bring My Burners was a battle between Short Circuit and Busta Rhymes which happened in LA. Short Circuit took Busta Rhymes out in front of KRS-One. Everybody was there to see the battle which happened over the Black Eyed Peas and Short Circuit. Short Circuit was killing his rhymes three to none. Master P quickly diffused the battle.

Never Take This Away was an emotional banger from Short Circuit himself. The beats sound similar to beats produced by Rockwilder which give the song an edge of commercial pop. Short Circuit explains how he constantly fights for his freedom throughout the song. He tells us he will change his ways, his hustle, and his lifestyle.

U Notice Dat has that old school hip hop/rap vibe and sound to it. Notice how you can hear the tape hiss and distortion from the production in this song. Notice those thick drum patterns and beats. The song was not fully mixed and mastered because his production team never had time to fully mix and master due to scheduling conflicts. Master P was putting out albums on No Limit Records like an assembly line. Short Circuit has a flow and style similar to Redman and LL Cool J on this song. Short Circuit brought an East Coast style to the tank.

Trolley Snatcha ‎– Subtext EP EP review

Trolley Snatcha ‎– Subtext EP is one of the darker and heavier dubstep releases similar to Skrillex - Scary Monsters And Nice Spirits. Trolley Snatcha produced that distinctive dubstep sound just with a heavier touch and not just solely relying on the party element of dubstep. Trolley Snatcha uses some ingenious sampling and mixing throughout the entirety of this EP.

Flying Missiles filled with that wonderful hyphy hi-fi dubstep sound which includes numerous vocal samples, wobbly bass, distorted pads, and crushed synths. Think heavier dubstep. No this is not that aggressive brostep which many people claim this song uses the style of music of.

Make My Whole World uses some wicked dubs and bass over that party element. The vocal samples says “Make my, Make my, make make my whole world your real" and not "Bake my, bake my, bake bake my wholemeal" as a few people believe. Trolley Snatcha fans call this Make My Whole World the best song on the EP.

The kicks used on Nasty Shit are what make Nasty Shit. The song uses that distorted filthy unfiltered dubstep sound. Nasty Shit samples the intro from Skream - The Shinein.

Trolley Snatcha fans call the song Giving Up by far best song off the Subtext EP. The sampling and mixing are just ingenious. Giving Up contains an uncredited sample of Ann Nesby - So Much Joy.

The song The Jungle leans towards used a more electro based sound than dubstep as the song uses a tempo of 128 BPM. The Jungle was used in those new Adidas run commercials. Now those Adidas run commercials are what made people discover some of Trolley Snatcha’s new music.

Little D - Meet Me At The Playground (Lil D - Meet Me At The Playground) album review

Little D - Meet Me At The Playground (Lil D - Meet Me At The Playground) was Little D’s debut album that was supposed to be released on No Limit Records in August 2001. Back when No Limit and Soulja Music Entertainment had their distribution deal with Priority Records. His album was originally planned to be released on September 4, 2001 but was pushed back to the summer of 2002. However his album did not get released. Little D’s debut album went unreleased because Master P abruptly ended No Limit’s distribution deal with Priority Records in July 2001 and had sold his pre-2002 No Limit catalog to Priority. Little D’s debut album was one of those No Limit albums which was sold to Priority. Another reason why this album was not released was because of a lack of promotion and focus on Lil Romeo at the time. Lil Romeo’s career was a top priority for the label.

XL, C-Los, Master P, Silkk, and Lil Romeo were responsible for the production of his debut album. XL produced 5 of his songs. He was doing a bulk of the production for No Limit at that time. For example, Master P, Lil Romeo, and C-Los produced the song Cotton Candy. That’s Kool (Remix) was produced by Silkk The Shocker and C-Los.

The album has that crossover appeal due to that pop rap sound. No Limit was influenced by the crossover market during that time. Even though Little D is a rapper, he leaned towards that pop sound.

Not many people know this but Little D/Lil D (Donavin Hogan) is Lil Romeo’s who is from Houston, Texas. He and Romeo were tour mates during the early part of the 21st century. That’s the reason why Lil Romeo is all over his album. That’s also the reason why Little D was all over Lil Romeo’s sophomore album Game Time. Little D is also Silkk The Shocker’s nephew. These days Lil D goes by D The Business.

Now some of the songs used on this album such as Clap Yo Hands and That’s Kool were used on other No Limit albums. What Master P would do was use artists songs from their unreleased album(s) and put them on other albums released on his record label, branches, and imprints.

Cotton Candy was supposed to be the buzz single off his album. However the song did not chart on the Billboard due to a lack of promotion and focus on Lil Romeo. This single was not released due to a lack of success and sample clearance issues. Cotton Candy sampled New Edition - Candy Girl. Maurice White did not give permission for the song to be covered or sampled. That is the reason why the single was issued only as a promo on CD. Master P, Lil Romeo, and XL produced the song Cotton Candy.

Little D likes girls that are sweet. Little D wants a girl that just like him for being himself. Not the type that brags a lot or quite often. This girl is best friends with Little D. They are close friends.

The chorus uses lyrics from New Edition - Candy Girl which go:

Candy girl, you are my world
Your love's so sweet
My special treat
All I want to say
When you're with me
You brighten up my day

Clap Your Hands (Clap Yo Hands) is a silly children’s song with quirky synths and pads performed by Lil Romeo and Lil D. The song is a duo. Clap Your Hands (Clap Yo Hands) was used on Lil Romeo’s 2002 album Game Time.

So if you like Lil Romeo, Lil D, No Limit, and Master P, clap your hands. Lil D loves ballin and flossin. He is not one for talking. He shops often. He has been in love ballin ever since started crawling. Girls calling while he’s performing. Lil D is hot now. So he’s come here to shake the spot. Little D is in the 6th grade but you know he’s got bank. He rolls with a tank. Platinum iced out from his neck and wrist. He’s got a couple of candy girls that laid the zone. When the school bell rings, you know it's on.

Not many people know this but That’s Kool (Remix) was actually Lil D’s first No Limit song he ever appeared on. The song appeared on Lil Romeo’s 2001 debut album. That’s Kool (Remix) was produced by Silkk The Shocker, Master P, and C-Los.

Silkk the Shocker’s off beat flow makes the song recognizable with Lil Romeo. Little D’s accent is so thick you can barely make out what he is saying. Some of you may remember Little D because of that. Here is what he was saying:

(Little D)
Right here in my No Limit gear hands in the air
To all my younggins Tank Doggs is full up in here
Were the girls at? Holla back loud in ya ear
Make way for the kids, whodi this is our year

(Little D)
My homeboy is done we can party fa' sho
Meet me at the playground at a quarter to four
Mom said it’s all good she said I can go
It's on 2 Way me when you’re ready to roll

The song and titular track Meet Me At The Playground was another song that was supposed to be released as a buzz single for his debut album but wasn’t because Master P thought a buzz single with the same name of the album’s title would confuse fans. So that is why this song was never issued as a single at all. The song is sweet in nature but not too sultry for a children’s song.

6 Piece - s/t album review

The 6 Piece - Six Piece (the self-titled album) was supposed be released in 2002 as a joint venture between Priority Records and Universal Records. However that did not happen as boy bands were on the decline by 2002. Boy bands were no longer the “in thing” by 2002. So unfortunately the album was shelved by Master P as this was his business decision and remains unreleased. Songs such as Wish For Love, My First, Anything, God Bless The Angels, A Little More, Once Upon A Time, and Where Do Broken Hearts Go were recorded for their second album.

Now perhaps if 6 Piece came out in an earlier decade and were fresh back in the day, they would have been on the same level as the Backstreet Boys, O-Town, NSYNC, NKOTB, ˚98 Degrees, or Blackstreet. It was due to the fact of over saturation of boy bands in early turn of the 21st century that caused 6 Piece to be overlooked. Other than that, this 6 piece album is off the hook! This is a great album for anyone who is a pop fan. One thing is definite is that this album qualifies as crossover pop.

For those who don’t know or remember, 6 Piece was an Atlanta, Georgia based six-piece boy band back in the early 2000s and were signed to No Limit Records. 6 Piece first established themselves in 1999 when they signed independently to StarrWorks Entertainment working with producer Maurice Starr.

6 Piece was the opening act for Lil Romeo on tour. They joined the first leg of the NSYNC's "Celebrity POP" tour preforming in coliseums nationally. They had performances with NSYNC, Alicia Keys, Jagged Edge, Tricia Yearwood and many others.  The members of 6 Piece were Micah Pittard, bad boy John Reynolds, Brandon Thompson, Bobby Ritchie, Kevin Swan, and Alejandro Rocafort (the sexy Puerto Rican). 6 Piece was featured in Billboard Magazine and so many other outlets during that time. Kevin Swan stood out as the most memorable group member of 6 Piece in his tenure.

Their second album was advertised in Master P’s Game Time album and Lil Romeo’s debut album back in 2001.

My First, My Last was their first single and buzz single for their second album. The girlies went nuts when 6 Piece performed My First, My Last live on stage with Lil Romeo. Everyone loved this song back in the day as it was a sweet love song. Just pure and clean with no overhyped sexuality. No autotune was used at all. My First, My Last is great! Especially like the remix version! My First, My Last is great! I love this song.

Now not too many people know this but My First, My Last was recorded while 6 Piece was recording their first album called Phase 1 (Phase I) on the date of October 25, 1999. Their first single was released nationwide in early 2000 and had reached #3 on Pop Radio charts on the Billboard.

No matter how high or low, it’s important to be there for the one you love. You think of that person both night and day. Wherever they are that's where you will go. That's where you wanna be. Read, analyze, and listen to their lyrics below.

(6 Piece)
Girl I think of you both night and day
Wonder if you're safe if you're okay
Its just the way that you move me
Girl you'll never lose me
I'll be there for you because

(chorus: 6 Piece)
You're my first (my first)
You're my last (my last)
I'm gonna love you forever
My first (my first)
My last (my last)
I'm gonna leave you oh never

(6 Piece)
No matter how high
No matter how low
I'm gonna be there for you babe
Wherever you are that's where I'll go
That's where I wanna be you and me

Once Upon A Time was recorded for their second album and for the Radio Disney Presents Mighty Music CD which was given away at McDonald’s restaurants in 2002. Dre Allen and Gen Rubin wrote the song for Master Ps boy band 6 Piece. A music video was recorded for Once Upon A Time after the September 11 bombing and as a McDonalds promo. The song was distributed via CD ROM in a McDonald's happy meal promotion all over the US.

Lyrics to the chorus explain how it’s hard to say goodbye and how memories can be cherished by a person for a lifetime.

(Chorus)
I'd walk across the sun to write your name in lights
I'd fly across the sky with no wings once upon a time
For you I would say anything but I can't say goodbye
Your memories I keep with me for life you're my once upon a time

Wish For Love is a sultry sappy love song about love and romance.  A wish to make love is what you desire. Everyone wishes for one more chance. A wish for all the above.

Can't Let Go is about not being able to get over that one whom you truly love. No matter what you do, you just seem to can't let go. You still love them. They are in every dream you have at night. You don't know what all this emotion means or the reasons why. You wake up in the dawn of morning just to contemplate about them. Its like that.

DJ Fela - Crunk For Tha Next Generation album review

DJ Fela - Crunk For Tha Next Generation is a Memphis dance album that never was. The album was finished and completed but was never released. Only a few copies of that album were issued onto CD. There were posters printed and handed out to promote his album. The album was finished before DJ Fela died. The reason why DJ Fela - Crunk For Tha Next Generation was unreleased is because DJ Fela had a falling out with his team (DSP). DJ Fela is an M-Town legend and a pioneer of crunk beats. Come On An Shout It has crunk drill beats. Jesse James really did serious damage and went mad on this junt. He was really bringing that heat. Lets Get Wild uses some dark crunk beats which follow an upbeat tempo to rambunctious club sound and vibe.

UNLV - FOEVAWIKKKED album review

UNLV - FOEVAWIKKKED is one of the most wickedest Saginaw rap albums of 1994 and in the history of Saginaw rap. Think hardcore thrash metal meets horrorcore acid rap! Also think rock meets rap. You have your wicked songs such as Wikked Wayz and Death Notice. Not surprising since UNLV is about that wicked shit. Overall UNLV - FOEVAWIKKKED is one of the most wickedest horrorcore rap albums from Saginaw. FOEVAWIKKKED was dope as hell.

White G/Kapitol G of KGP did all the producing and mastering on UNLV - FOEVAWIKKKED. Songs from this album heavily use Mr. Bungle samples. It’s all Mr. Bungle samples basically. KGP produced beats on all of their songs.

FOEVAWIKKKED was released on cassette only by Mentality Records in 1994. The album was eventually issued onto CDr. UNLV was Unholy Niggaz Livin Vital from Saginaw Michigan. UNLV was Ghetto Devil (Fred Lee), Damion The Demon Seed, D-Evil, Dark Lord, and KGP! Yes, KGP people!

Here is how UNLV - FOEVAWIKKKED came to fruition.

One day D-Evil and Darklord came to Ghetto Devil saying they had connections to get on an audition and the winner wins a 1 year contract with Mentality Records. 8Ball had a connect to get UNLV in a show who featured Esham and Ice Cube. The day of the show UNLV went to Jones Food Store and met up with a guy name Ndegwa known as Darklord approached them like he needed help so he rode with the group and explained his whole story. The audition was put together by White G of KGP. UNLV won the audition but had a problem with signing the contract due to several members being under the legal age of consent.

Now this album was supposed to be released in 1993 but was not released that year due to a wide variety of different reasons. This was mainly due to several members being under the legal age of consent. Being signed to Mentality Records wasn't going down because their parents was being parents would not agree with the contract. This remained a setback for the group for only a year. Next thing you know D-Evil and Darklord was 18. They were just waiting on Ghetto Devil to be of legal age. Now this was perfect timing as UNLV finished the album/EP and had a show lined up. Next thing you know shit started to get real. One thing’s for sure is that UNLV was ready to battle anybody.

UNLV had recorded Death Notice in an underground studio on the Southside of Saginaw. Fred Lee wrote the track Death Notice. Death Notice that is heartfelt to this day. The song uses a fusion of dark metal and rap. Death Notice also uses a Mr. Bungle sample. This shit is too wicked. None of you can handle this wicked psychotic shit. What's that sound? Evil.

You will never see death coming as death come unexpectedly. If you know it's the silent death, best believe that was your time to go. Have you ever smelled the smell of death? If not, keep your nose closed. Better run but best believe you won't be coming home.

Wicked Mentality was some wicked ill shit. UNLV smoking on that killa blowing their brains out. Getting blowed out. KGP raps a wicked verse on the song. Ghetto Devil’s verse during Verse 1 is just as wicked as KGP’s verse. He has got that wicked mentality even though his mentality is straight.

KGP has the wicked mentality and is a psychopath in reality. He is coming to Hell. Feeling his body bleed while taking his last breath. KGP died in an unnatural death. All because he was suicidal. The way he died was by slitting his wrists with razor blade. One razor and one wrist for burning candlesticks.

KGP creeps thru yo fucking hood. He sees people to brutally kill and chop their body parts into several pieces. KGP in engaged in some unholy shit here. The sinner for suicide. He is an unholy descendent from Hell. His insanity and psychopathy is too hard for you to handle. Watch as the bodies burn. Blood dripping from the eyes. KGP creeped and crept. He found the undead bitch. Slit some throat from inside her neck.

Bloody Sunday calls out fake preachers who claim to be “Christians” but are instead hypocrites who do the most unearthly worldly things. These fake Christians comitt the most horrific acts. Metal meets rap on Bloody Sunday thus creating a fusion of metal rap.

The opening to Bloody Sunday is just perfect. The opening parodied the Christian child's prayer “Now I lay me down to sleep”.

Now I lay me down to sleep
I sell my soul to the devil and keep
And if I should die before I wake
I'll kill another nigga, watch the soul I take

UNLV sells souls to the devil to keep. And if they die before awakening they’ll take another soul by killing them. They’ll start by snatching your liver as blood drips on the street.

The song In My Eyez is similar to that dope old ass Detroit wicked shit such as Esham, Mastamind, and NATAS. The song In My Eyez was a solo song from Ghetto Devil talking about the subject of death. White G wanted the song on the UNLV album. So Ghetto Devil agreed.

Kreepin Through Yo Hood was about Ghetto Devil and Darklord killing people. Nothing atypical of gangsta rap of that era. They swept, slept and then crept which is why there were twelve bodies hanging.

Wikked Wayz is a metal rock meets horrorcore acid rap type of track. The track is very distorted in sound quality. Note the heavy metal guitar in the background. That is a Mr. Bungle sample. This shit is too wicked. None of you can handle this wicked psychotic shit.

Ticklah – Polydemic EP EP review

Ticklah – Polydemic EP is one of the most abstract Afrobeat dub reggae EP in the history of reggae music. Polydemic is Afrobeat dub reggae with a touch of funk and a jazzy edge. Ticklah produces and arranges some awesome music. You have your jazz oriented songs such as Buttermilk and Ray Castoldi World Tour '98. You also have your dub reggae songs such as Ticklah's Swing and Pain Of Loving You. Some of the songs on this album were used on the television show Breaking Bad.

Buttermilk is a solid Ticklah groove where the sounds of smooth bossanova jazz meet dub reggae with a touch of funk. Not too brokenbeat either. A selection of guitars, horns, and keyboards add to the funkiness and solid groove of the song.

Not many people know this but the song titled Ray Castoldi World Tour '98 was recorded during a world tour back in 1998. Hence the live sound.

Ticklah's Swing uses dub reggae sounds such as a smoky organ and deep bass. The song will take you into a deep trance. So expect to hear some peaceful laid back vibes. Some of you may remember hearing Ticklah's Swing on the television show Breaking Bad. That is because the song Ticklah's Swing was used on the Breaking Bad soundtrack.

Toe Foo has a groovy 70s funk sound with a barrage of tambourines and one mean jazzy saxophone which explains the sense of liveness. Space Root is ridden with heavy low bass and dub reggae riddims over a set of phasers.

6 Feet Deep - 6 Feet Deep (Sixx Feet Deep - Sixx Feet Deep) album review

The 6 Feet Deep - 6 Feet Deep (Sixx Feet Deep - Sixx Feet Deep) demo is one of the overlooked and lesser known Death Row Records demos by R&B/soul quartet 6 Feet Deep. It was a masterpiece. Unfortunately the album was never released as Death Row Records was falling apart and had spiraled into decline. Death Row had a tight R&B/soul roster.

All of the songs were recorded in a timespan ranging from 1994 to 1996. The songs recorded for this demo were songs such as My Heart, Talk To You, For The Love Of You, and You're The One. The demo was issued onto cassette as many demos were in the 90s. Not that many copies of this demo were issued on cassette. There was never any CD version.

Cody Chestnut produced and wrote their first and only album. Darryl Harper engineered the album. Christopher Harvey, Tally, Rodney, and Terrence Downs were 6 Feet Deep (Sixx Feet Deep).

Consider Me was produced by LA Dre, Hurt M Badd, and Darryl Harper. It was a masterpiece. This is one of those you play when you need to relax.

Not many people know or knew this but Cody Chestnut was the producer who produced July Halloween. Those groovy guitar chords and notes were played by him. The song is nothing short of a crooner due to being perfectly mixed.

Dope Zone - International Controversy album review

Dope Zone - International Controversy is one of the dopest and most controversial Flint rap albums from 1997. This is one of those obscure gems which is highly sought after by collectors. Their album is filled with action packed gangsta rap lyrics and contemporary beats. Of course this is the reason why this album is a local underground classic to this day.
