Dan K ‎– Pacific Connection E.P. EP review

Dan K ‎– Pacific Connection E.P. is an electronic deep house EP which has a Pacific Islander touch of instrumentation with the drums and woodwinds. One thing is for sure is that Pacific Connection a guaranteed banger!

Sunburst uses some good quality drums, woodwinds, and live instrumentation. The whirly and lively synths give the song an ethereal feeling. Those whirly and lively synths are just mind blowing and absolutely divine. Divine whirlwinds are what make the song enjoyable to listen to. This track is a very memorable thing among the released tracks. Dan Keimatsu calls Sunburst “very memorable” among the tracks he released. Dan Keimatsu says, “This track is a very memorable thing among the released tracks.” One thing is for sure is that Sunburst a guaranteed banger!

The title track is an electronic deep house song which has a Pacific Islander touch of instrumentation with the drums. Bongos and shakers are used underneath an earthly electronic organ. One thing is for sure is that Pacific Connection a guaranteed banger!

Dish Washer uses electronic beats which are backed by a single kick drum. However there are live beats from drums such as bongos and taiko drums also. So this song does not solely or heavily rely on the backing of electronic beats only. The song sounds a bit sad and downtempo in nature.

Spirits From An Urban Jungle ‎– Urban Decay E.P. EP review

Spirits From An Urban Jungle ‎– Urban Decay E.P. is a spiritual jungle house EP backed by electronic breakbeats, drums, and bass. This is the holy grail of jungle house.

Jungle Inhabitants Of Pandemonium is backed by heavy bass and Reggaeton vocal samples. Reggaeton meets jungle house on Jungle Inhabitants Of Pandemonium. You can feel the beats that are bumping through your body.

Retrobution is a retro but good theme for jungle house music. The crickets fit into the organ’s mood. This song is almost similar to the hard house songs from the 90s due the extreme uptempo nature in terms of tempo and pace. This is the holy grail of jungle house. This song is an example of spiritual jungle house.

Epilogue to Freedom served as the follow-up song to Retrobution. The song uses same and similar hard house sound and breakbeats as Retrobution.

Native Sons Production – A Little Something EP EP review

Native Sons Production – A Little Something EP is an interesting electronic house recording. You have the minimal house based Gonna Work This Right and the jazzy Jazz-Native. Gonna Work This Right is a beautiful saxophone driven minimal house track backed by deep processed bass played through an amplified filter. Hardly any breakbeats are used. The vocal sample sounds like “Gonna work this tight” but is actually “Gonna Work This Right”. Jazz-Native has such deep bass for a jazz house song. The song is backed by a loud thunderous timpani drums and electronic pads behind a series of other instrumentation.

X-Con - Back On The Block album review

X-Con - Back On The Block was one of the widely known upcoming No Limit albums from the 2000s which was advertised in 504 Boyz - Goodfellas. Back On The Block had the old school down south flava. X-Con to showcases his original style and interesting wordplay with his very own album. X-Con was fire. You’ve got you deep realistically conscious tracks such as Life Goes On, It Don’t Get No Better, and Still Holding It Down.

The album was scheduled to be released in 2001 during the 2001-2002 fiscal year by No Limit Records with distribution through Priority Records which was their distributor at the time. However the album remained unreleased. Here are the reasons why.

Master P was busy trying to get his son Lil Romeo's debut album off the ground and shift his focus towards promoting that album. That is why X-Con - Back On The Block and Samm - Enemy Of The Street went unreleased. X-Con was no longer a priority for the label. Timing was the issue with X-Con’s Back On The Block album.

"I was finally ready to make my solo debut and at the time, Master P was busy trying to get his son Lil Romeo's project off the ground. I felt like it was time for me to move on and it was a mutual agreement, we didn't beef." explains X-Con.

X-Con and Lil Flip explain how and why it’s their time on Itz Our Tyme. X-Con and Lil Flip came with a brand new sound as both of them show how people do it in the South. X-Con showcased his original style and interesting wordplay. The song is played in tune of Soul II Soul - Back To Life.

X-Con leaves his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana to head straight to Houston, Texas to meet Lil Flip. He grabs a box of Black and Mild. Then he puts gas up in the whip. X-Con discusses how Lil Flip’s The Leprechaun album sold 130,000 units underground. He goes on to boast about Lil Flip’s underground success. X-Con makes it understood that they are not going anywhere. He makes his own rules in the game. He keeps it gutter. X-Con is so old school.

There ain’t no rules to the dope game. Lil Flip paid his way. He is pulling up in a Jaguar jeep. There are a couple of hoes and a couple of gats. Drugs are in his vehicle. So don’t get out of line.

X-Con is so outrageous. He goes to the mall to spend every dime of his. What’s the use of not ballin when the money is made? He’s got the money to spend. His spending spree will not stop until his last dollar is spent. That’s what’s going down.

The message of It Don’t Get No Better is to stick together no matter how tough the circumstances may be and to not quit easily. Master P displays some great storytelling skills with his raps.

Master P has see a lot of thugs and souljas lose their boots in the mud. For example, he explains the case of 19 year old serving prison time for a drug related case in Verse 1. He used to rhyme. Once your gone, dawg, your gone. Master P seen lil momma in tha club shakin’ that ass everyday. Now she telling Master P  she needs some milk for her children. See some of these hoes are bitches too.

X-Con’s definition of riches is much different for the average person. He is vicious like a 200 lb Rottweiler? Who’s gonna stand in front of this 200 lb Rottweiler? His mission is to kill all the competition to where there is no competition. To kill them all like roaches. Make it hard to swallow. No Limit all some soldiers. Black Felon still yellin habitual offender. Ya'll niggas better keep a distance from the wrath of this blender.

Adele - 21 album review

Adele - 21 is a soulful crossover pop album where soul meets pop music. This album is exquisitely beautiful. Every song on 21 is an autobiographical love ballad related to the events which happened in her life. Every song on here has an authentic feel. You hardly ever hear music like this anymore. This beautiful album is filled 11 memorable songs such as Someone Like You, Rolling In The Deep, Rumor Has It, Set Fire to The Rain, Turning Tables, Take It All, and Love Song. You can listen to this album without skipping any songs! So you won't be disappointed!

This album (Adele - 21) is the best album of 2011 next to Lil Mo - iLoveMe, Various Artists - Les Miserables, and Black Mikey - Premeditated Music. This album is a classic masterpiece of the 21st century.

Adele swept the music industry away with her breathtaking 2011 album called 21. Her crossover appeal to the pop market is what made this album and her singles a success. She could sing pop songs soulfully with her mezzo-soprano voice. The album became an instant overnight success due to constant heavily by UK indie label XL. The album sold millions within the first year of release. Adele’s 21 has charted in more than 30 countries. This album has sold more than 30 million copies to date.

Turning Tables is another dramatic piano driven breakup ballad by Adele. Her ex is constantly turning tables on her by constantly changing his mind based on self-made opinion or decision. In other words he can’t decide what he wants in their relationship.

The song begins with an argument that inspired this song which bring the final blow to their relationship. All of her belongings are on the floor. This because her ex was throwing things. There is no clue as to why they are fighting with their constant bickering.  Adele can't keep up with his turning tables and be under his thumb. She can’t be herself. So it's time to say goodbye to turning tables.

Rumour Has It revolves around the rumour of Slinky Winfield leaving Adele for a Burberry model. Rumour Has It is a heavy drum driven pop song driven by her mezzo-soprano voice. The song is a dramatic piano driven breakup ballad by Adele.

There is a rumour going around on the street. The rumour on the street was Slinky Winfield left Adele for a Burberry model. Adele will love him more than she ever will. A whole lot more. Slinky is oblivious to everything that is going on. He is oblivious to the damages he had caused.

This girl who is a Burberry model Slinky is supposedly dating is half his age. However he is desperate. So he keeps the girl. In other words he is desperate to keep the girl. That’s not a secret. Slinky is gossiping about things he shouldn’t be. It hurts for Adele to hear these rumours about her ex-lover and whether they’re true or not. Adele may seem not to care but she actually does.

If It Hadn’t Been for Love is one of the lesser known songs in Adele’s catalog which has been sorely overlooked by her fans. The song hardly ever gets any mention. Adele dives into bluegrass country. If It Hadn’t Been for Love became the backbone of her 21 album.

Adele never would've hitchhiked to Birmingham, Alabama if it hadn't been for love. She never would've caught the train to Louisiana if it hadn't been for love. She never would've run through the blindin' rain without one dollar to my name if it hadn't been for love. She never would've seen the trouble that she had gotten herself had it not been for love. Adele would have been gone like a wayward wind had it not been for love.

She would've gone to that side of town if it weren’t for love. She loaded up a forty-four and took a mind to track him down. That is how she ended up in the jailhouse without parole. Four cold walls against her will. Lord have mercy on her soul.

Adele laments over her ex-lover on Someone Like You. She wishes nothing but the best for him. However she still feels the void he left in their relationship. Adele heard that her ex-lover settled down. He found a girl and is now married. His dreams came true. The lady he is dating gave him things Adele didn't give to him. Adele remembers he said, “Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead.” Nothing compares to him or their relationship. No worries or cares. Regrets and mistakes. They're memories made. Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?

Adele - 30 album review

Adele - 30 is Adele’s comeback album after several long years of going on a hiatus. Her fans were heavily anticipating for the album to drop. However this album was not as much of an instant overnight success for Adele as 25 and 21 were. Fans were reluctant to catch and to purchase or stream her new album. They contemplated wondering if Adele had lost her touch after being on hiatus for so long. The album only had two singles and was not as heavily promoted as 25 and 21 were. Nevertheless Adele excels and prospers by using her mezzo-soprano voice to sing her songs.

Cry Your Heart Out is about depression. Adele cries her heart out after her divorce when she felt like the whole world had ended. So she became depressed. Cry Your Heart Out is an underrated and under-appreciated Adele song. Hearing Adele sing a reggae song was interesting and unorthodox.

All of friends keep on telling her the feeling of depression won't last forever. Adele can't get no relief. She is so tired of herself. She wonders, “When will I begin to feel like me again?”

The message of this is song is in the lyrics to the bridge.

[Bridge]
(Ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
(Ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
All love is devout, no feeling is a waste
But give it to yourself now before it's too late
In the end, it's just you, stop drowning in wait
Your love is useless without it

Adele delves into gritty country roots on Wild Wild West. Hearing Adele sing a country song was quite unique and interesting. Not to mention unorthodox.

Adele grew a nipper in the Wild Wild West. And for a while she was at her best. So much so that she got hitched in a big white dress. But that was make her sad and stressed which lead to a depressing divorce. So Adele got soaked and embedded in the Wild Wild West. She was gallivanting in the silhouettes. That's when she had met a jingler who was sparrow-catching in the wilderness.

She lost her mind in San Bernardino, California. And even in Chula Vista and Modesto. She was heart-broken in San Diego. Now Adele is cutting shines in the Wild Wild West.

Adele with her separation anxiety issues on the piano-led balled titled Can’t Be Together. Adele explains why her and her ex-husband can no longer be together. Adele comes to a conclusion that both her and her ex-husband can’t be in a relationship.

Her ex-husband got his eye on Adele after all these years. Adele is aware is aware of his presence as she can still hear and see him. She knows that he still wants her. Adele knows  just how it feels to never be free completely. Sometimes you just feel so empty.

Adele clearly has separation anxiety as she feels she can never be completely free. These lyrics are an example of her separation anxiety.

I know you still want me, you always will
And I can guarantee I know just how it feels
To never be free completely
Sometimes you just feel so empty

Adele has been missing her ex-husband lately. She would still do anything for him. However they need to learn how to love who they are loving. It's hard but they both have got to let it go. And to turn off the urge to know what could have been. She will love him forever.

She was far too reckless back then. Trying to make him jealous made Adele feel proud. Everybody's changed since they were together. Their reflections in the mirror no longer look the same. Adele will always miss you at the end of each day.

King 13 - Time Served album review

King 13 - Time Served was one of the hardest freestyle rap albums from San Antonio with songs such as Naked Soul, Thru Da Mist, and Tamica. King 13 was the freestyle king of San Antonio before Lil Ken, Liveola, Kyle Lee, Lady Lyric, SCG, Lil Yodaa, and Mark G. Nobody could fade King 13 as he was unfadable with his raps. Honestly King 13 should have had albums out by now.

Ricé produced a bulk of the album while 17 Freeze produced a tiny portion. Rice produced King 13's album with 17 Freeze from 1997 to 2000. Sean, 17 Freeze, and Rice still have the ADATS.

The first time the King 13 - Time Served album was advertised was in the 1997 compilation Runnin Blind under release info for future projects. His album was also advertised in the Source magazine and Vibe. King 13 - Time Served was originally supposed to be released in August 1998. Right around the same time Down and Dirty Click - Only Gangsta was going to be released.

The King 13 - Time Served album was supposed to be released by Commerce Street Records and distributed by Southwest Wholesale. Commerce Street Records was supposed to release King 13 - Time Served, Lil Short - Lil Short, and Midnight Drama. Ricé produced those albums. However release date for his album was pushed back to August 1999. However the Time Served album was never released. King 13 - Time Served was an album from Commerce Street Records that never was but could have been a hit. There are several reasons why this album was never released and remains unreleased.

The Time Served album was never completed as there were only 3 songs that were recorded. Possibly more. King 13 was very difficult to work with and was hard to get him in the studio. All because he didn’t like beats from local producers. King 13 didn’t want to use local beats. So Sean Tompkins would write “Mike B” or “Bido” on the DATs in order to get King 13 on a song or record. The only one that could convince King 13 to get in anybody’s studio was Lil Sin. The only reason King 13 was on anybody’s song was only because Lil Sin would ask him to.

Also King 13 could never agree with anyone's contract. In fact King 13 didn’t agree with Sean’s contract. He was very smart only as he would work for hire only. He would never just agree to be signed to anyone’s record label. That’s why it’s getting his music from anyone. That explains why his Time Served album never came out.

That explains why his Time Served album never came out.

Here is how the King 13 - Time Served came to fruition and how King 13 got his debut album recorded.

Commerce Street Records was one of the hottest labels in San Antonio, Texas at the time next to Big Ballin, Youngsta, Sonar, and BLVD Records. King 13 was convinced Commerce Street Records would be a good label to sell his album to. King 13 only wanted to sell a project which was King 13 - Time Served to Sean Tompkins of Commerce Street Records in 1997 as a one-off deal and not a long term full-fledged record deal. Sean was good and never came short. He always gave what was asked of him before 2000 despite some illegal activities that were going on. However King 13 caught on to the shady business going with Commerce Street Records around October 2000 and refused to work with Sean Tompkins.

Thru Da Mist deals with how people can be unsympathetic to another person’s pain, sorrow. and agony. This is one of King 13’s songs produced by Ricé which is all too real for the mainstream crowd to handle. Ricé did a spectacular job on making the synths, bass, and beats have that dark eerie sound.

Nobody can see through the mist of pain, sorrow, and agony of another person. Just keep your faith and pray for strength. You’ll maintain. No one can see through the mist of the darkness.

King 13’s Naked Soul takes us through the views of a gangsta. King 13 laces the mic with such fiery and aggression in his lyrics. This is not surprising since this is gangsta rap. Every song King 13 raps on is fire! That is a fact. His presence is huge for this song.

Naked Soul is a fierce piano laced rap song. The piano is what keeps the mood mellow sort of in a strange way. The feeling is both mellow and intense sort of in a strange way. Notice the piano solo played by 17 Freeze at the beginning of Naked Soul. 17 Freeze and Ricé give the song a sense of mellowness and tranquility with their production and sound  they create.

The song takes us through the views of a gangsta. King 13 laces the mic with such fiery and aggression in his lyrics. This is not surprising since this is gangsta rap. Every song King 13 raps on is fire! That is a fact. His presence is huge for this song.

The song Midnight Drama is about all the drama that goes on during midnight. A lot of crime happens at midnight. King 13 tells us listeners, “You better not get caught up in midnight drama.” Those are his cautionary words which tell us to stay away from the drama that happens during midnight.

When drama starts at midnight, you better be prepared for things to unfold and expect the unexpected. Be prepared to ride. The drama starts at midnight.

Several niggaz are the cold shooting dice. 2 of these niggaz took the life of one of their homeboys by killing him. They blamed that wickedness on liquor. Gun shots rang out from the parking lot. 4 niggaz got ganked. There were 49 bullet holes. There were 6 bullet holes found on the spine of a man. His relatives got the call that he would no longer be coming home.

Drug slanging and pimping is what goes at midnight. One man thought he could find narcotics but he ended up dead in a closed casket. One of these niggaz was fucking his wife. His friends go out to settle the score and end up getting killed.

When darkness falls, you better be prepared. You better not get caught up in midnight drama.

Midnight Drama uses a combination of freestyle rap and gangsta rap. That makes sense because King 13 was known for his freestyle raps. Midnight Drama is an intense piano laced rap song performed by King 13 himself. He wrote the lyrics to this song himself. Not many know this but King 13 was the freestyle of San Antonio pre-2002.

Ricé produced the song and played the piano. Notice during the beginning that a nice mellow piano solo is playing. The piano solo lasts for 12 seconds until 0:12. Quadruple layers of instrumentation start to kick in at the 0:13 mark.

This King 13 song would be included on the 1999 compilation album called Midnight Drama. Now the Midnight Drama compilation was inspired by this King 13 song which is where the title for the Midnight Drama album came from. The Midnight Drama compilation was first advertised on the 1999 album Mr. Joshay - 21 Crunk St and was released in March 1999. The Midnight Drama compilation was sold at Commerce Street Records when it was located on East Commerce Street and when Commerce Street Records had their store in Windsor Park Mall.

Lil Short - Lil Short album review

Lil Short - Lil Short was one of the hardest gangsta rap albums due to having songs such as the menacing Revenge and the hyped Straight Rida. You also have songs such as Short’s Revenge and Short Rida. Lil Short - Lil Short was and would have been one of the hardest gangsta rap albums from San Antonio in 1998 next to Nino - Unstoppable and Lil Sin - Who Got Yo Back.

The Lil Short - Lil Short album was first advertised in the 1997 compilation Runnin Blind under release info for future projects. The Lil Short - Lil Short album was supposed to be released on Commerce Street Records in October 1998 but the Lil Short - Lil Short album was never released for a couple of reasons.

The reason why his album was never released was because only 8-9 songs were recorded for his debut album. Sean Tompkins wanted to release full album that had 16 to 18 tracks on them. Lil Short did not have enough songs to complete a full length album which is what Sean required during that time. He was not looking to release EPs or singles.

The other reason why Lil Short - Lil Short album was never released or promoted as heavily is because Lil Short went on the run from police to avoid being arrested for crimes he committed back in October 1998. That is why the album never got completed. A lot of those artists signed to Commerce Street Records were in and out of jail or on the run.

Lil Short of ETG (East Terrace Gang) takes control of the song Straight Rida as he explains the hustles and struggles of his life. Every day is a struggle when you are a hustler like Lil Short. The song was dedicated to those a part of the East Terrace Gang. Ricé produced the song.

Guess who’s back? The nigga who pulled a jack and did a whole year and a half in jail. That would be Lil Short of ETG. He has to get his. He’s jacking for keeps. It’s an everyday struggle for him. That is why he hustles and is a hustler. He goes from hitting them jack to selling them packs. They are Bout It, Bout It in the city of SA like Master P. San Antonio is city where you have to hustle. Lil Short won’t settle for less until people tell him he is the best. Lil Short is a straight rida coming from the East Side neighborhood of East Terrace Apartments.

Lil Short is putting it down like he’s supposed to. A straight 27 soulja blowing on that doja. People stare at the return of the straight rida. A shop on East Commerce Street is where he shoots at police. He won’t stop until player haters drop. He is looking for ice. He is a ghetto star you can see at the clubs. There ain’t no love in this dirty game. Looking out for rivals, enemies, and law enforcement is something a hustler must deal with.

Lil Short was a victim of the ghetto as he was raised in the East Terrace housing projects. He had to become a rida at the age of 3. He had to become a rida to keep his family fed and taken care of. He had to compete with others in these wicked streets. That is not easy at all. He thanks God for not being dead yet because he grew up fast.

Tomorrow is not promised. What little time he has is borrowed and compromised. Lil Short will ride for ETG until he dies. He will kill if he has to. So fuck stressing on some busters. The only time Lil Short gets stressed is when he is broke. But he can fix that with a chrome gat and a ski mask. He’ll come back to the block with a wad full of cash.

The song is well known for the lyrics, “Ain’t no sorrow. I ain’t promised tomorrow. So this little time I’ve got, I’m saying fuck it. It’s borrowed.” Everything goes.

Revenge is a gangsta horrorcore rap song by Lil Short known for having such heavy bass and eerie blips that leave everlasting impacts in your memory. Lil Short and Charles explains how he plans to act out his revenge for all his dead homies and niggaz in the penitentiary on their behalf.

Lil Short got a call about 12 o’clock at midnight. Some nigga just dumped on his crib in East Terrace. So he gets a rental car to split some fools wig. The first person he sees will be slaughtered and killed. He puts that on ETG (East Terrace Gang). Everything goes. Ain’t no fucking with Lil Short. He’s got that 12 gauge pump and still puffing them blunts. He hops out of the rental car in a devil disguise. Next he calls out his alibi. He’s about to serve out a bloody murder. The first person he planned to murder and slaughter was at Murf’s Burger. (In memory of Murf’s Better Burger) Lil Short rolls 4 deep in a Landcruiser causing down these back streets. They finna put people to sleep. They dug your ditch so you’re getting in. It’s settled. You’re as has to pay.

Lil Short wants revenge for all his dead homies and niggaz in the penitentiary. That’s why he’s smoking blunts and sipping gin.

It’s getting crazy. These hoes want to fade Charles. He packs that steel gun. Ya’ll niggaz better before Charles feels like runnin blind with two black 9’s. Him and Lil Short are finna ride on the East Side of San Antonio, Texas. There ain’t no shame on what Charles claims. You better know his game and where he comes from.

Lil Short and Charles are rolling 2 deep in a stolen car which is the Landcruiser Lil Short mentioned in his verse which was Verse 1. They are going to bust on these niggaz tonight. Lil Short is gone off that fry feeling like a monster. They steadily running and gunning without leaving any trace behind them. This is the last time he letting know.

Lil Short and Charles want revenge for all his dead homies and niggaz in the penitentiary.

Lil Short takes control of the song Short Rida as he explains the hustles and struggles of his life. Every day is a struggle when you are a hustler like Lil Short. Ricé produced the song.

Guess who’s back? The nigga who pulled a jack and did a year and a half in jail. That would be Lil Short of ETG. He has to get his. He’s jacking for keeps. It’s an everyday struggle for him. That is why he hustles and is a hustler. He goes from hitting them jack to selling them packs. They are Bout It, Bout It in the city of SA like Master P. Lil Short won’t settle for less until people tell him he is the best. Lil Short is a straight rida coming from the East Side neighborhood of East Terrace. Lil Short is putting it down like he’s supposed to. A straight 27 soulja blowing on that doja. A short rida. Tomorrow is not promised. Magic - White Eyes album review

Magic - White Eyes has that rough edge of Southern style street rap with a crossover pop sound mixed with a tinge of soul. Southern rap meets crossover pop and soul. This is evident on songs such as Good Life. The beats were definitely hard despite there not being production from Beats By The Pound. Many people thought this album was terrible due to the production and lack of charting singles. Many people had high hopes for this album despite being advertised when No Limit Records was falling off. Nevertheless White Eyes is a decent effort with quality lyrical content.

War explains how Magic is a one man army as a lyricist. No human being can come in between what Magic puts together. He also stands as a boss for himself.

This organization was built on Magic. No man can come in between what Magic puts together. He is the foundation. He will weather the storm. You don't wanna go to with him. His niggas be too dangerous. You don't wanna go to war with these niggas. You don't wanna go to war with these soldier boys. They bout it bout it.

Magic spits shit that make the average person shake. They do not stand a chance against him as he is one of the top dogs from No Limit Records. This time Magic is playing for keeps. Close and personal with the sorrow. This game is not fair. Settle for less and let the stress make us forget about better days. Like Fiend he won't be denied and refuses to be defeated.

Magic gets vicious and violent by using graphic details in his lyrics during Verse 2.

See I'm sick dog, and I rip your lip off, if I get pissed off
Or ripped off uh-huh, that's when the shit starts
I'm vicious, I didn't get all of my shots
When I bite I lock, and I won't let loose until the bones pop
And I watch you, until your vital signs stop
And walk off in the night, with no worries fuck the cops
This shit is real dog, play with us and watch how many pop up
In the junk yard scattered round, bodies all chopped up
If I flip out, I take a quick flight up out the country
Better ask somebody, Mr. Magic he acts a donkey

6 Piece helped bring in the crossover sound of pop for the album on the song Good Life. Pop meets rap music on Good Life. On this song Magic explains how he can give women the good life. He knows how to make them feel good. What Magic wants you women out there to understand is that he knows how to treat you. He knows how to give women what they need and knows how to make them feel good.

Magic wants women to be free themselves. Lyrics to the chorus at the very end explain this.

[Chorus]

[6 Piece + (Magic)]
I said playas (see we playas baby)
Do you wanna take a chance
I'm just trying to teach (well go ahead and teach em 6 Piece)
I wanted you just to let yourself be free (uh)
Free and give it to me

Magic snapped on What U Gonna Do. Magic was a beast lyrically. The song had that New Orleans style zydeco with the accordion which compromises the gumbo funk portion of the song which makes this song one of the livest songs off his album.

Magic is passing up all the haters while in his Navigator on cruise control. He warns haters to stay from his 9th Ward crew. His 9th Ward crew shouldn't be disregarded as they are the hardest. You can see Magic in them clubs hanging out with the thugs. Smoking the finest doe-doe.

Magic gets creative with his lyrics by adding cultural references to his punchlines. Here is an example below.

I keep's it on the low-low, cause if my wifey do that
She'd prolly buy a Louis slugger, whip a nigga blue-black
See I'm a casanova, mixed with a little rover
I'm more doggy than Snoop, when I'm in them hoes over

VA - Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves Compilation album review

Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves Compilation was one of the most anticipated rap compilations of 1998. The compilation featured talent from all over the South. The album had features from Ludacris, T.I., Slim Thug, Scarface and more. Master P was very skilled at piecing together an album that featured all of its artists instead of just overloading the album with its biggest names giving them national exposure. Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves was advertised during No Limit’s commercial peak in 1998.

Sadly the album was never released because Master P made a decision to can the album entirely and cancel its release. That is why Who U Wit? was released instead as that compilation had a more commercial sound than the Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves Compilation would have had.

Now the Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves Compilation was completed. The legendary Pen N Pixel was responsible for designing and arranging the album cover artwork. This was before the bling-bling era kicked in. Their graphics were pretty bland at that point.

This is the hardest album that has never been released. It was going to put Master P back on top until his label feel apart. This was going to be the best compilation No Limit ever dropped. I wish Down South Hustlers: Makin' Moves Compilation came out and so do all the other No Limit Fans.

Master P and Silkk The Shocker went off on This One For The Riders. Eddie Griffin is on the hook with P. He’s gonna make some motherfuckin' statements too now. Let's ride this one's for the killers and dealers. The world gonna feel it.

Silkk the Shocker - Our Corner is notable for having a crazy hard hook over a G-Funk sound and some whistles. One of the hardest lines in the song was "Fuck with No Limit niggaz, end up as organ donors" and that’s on the real. The song originally appeared as a bonus track on the How Ya Do Dat single. Silkk the Shocker - Our Corner later appeared on the 2015 digital release No Limit East Emmett Dove Files.

5/5*****!!
