Lisa Amos - Cause You Love Me album review
Lisa Amos - Cause You Love Me is a forgotten New Orleans R&B/soul album which hardly gets mentioned or any recognition despite being released by one of the hottest labels out of New Orleans called Take Fo Records. Cause You Love Me is a bounce music soul fusion. Nothing like that New Orleans bounce. Her singing style is reminiscent in tune of Deniece Williams. Her album is quite decent.
Lisa sings a beautiful cover of Teena Marie - Young Love which will just blow your ears away. Honestly this cover version of Young Love is the best cover so far.
Lisa remembers back in school when she first laid my eyes on him. Lisa saw his smile and knew right then and there. He reached out and touched her hand and two became just one person. No one could have stopped our love affair. But lately they can't even see each other without acting just like distant lovers. They’ve even took to fighting under covers. What a shame, baby. Who's to blame? Why is young love growing old and going old? Don't say goodbye my love, no. Just one more try, young love.
She remember promises. The way she would feel when they would caress each other. She can't pinpoint or imagine where young love went wrong. He said that he needed Lisa. But where is the sincerity? She guesses that with their love has flown. Because they can't even see each other without acting just like distant lovers. Lisa asks him, “Do you remember the young love? Do you remember the love we shared? Don't you think we ought to give it one more try?” She proceeds to tell him, “Young love was much better. We've come too far to be saying goodbye.”
The title track Cause You Love Me is a bounce music soul fusion. Nothing like that New Orleans bounce. Lisa sounds like Deniece Williams on this song. DJ Duck and Henry the Man produced Cause You Love Me for Lisa. Cause You Love Me is a cover of Deniece Williams - Cause You Love Me Baby.
There's nothin' better that Lisa would like to do than sitting here cuddled up next to her man. That is because he loves Lisa. It's so nice lying here in his arms. She could stay here for the rest of her life. His personality has that charm. She can plainly see that he cares all her. Just the way she wants to be loved. Are you happy too? Tell me are you happy too.
Lisa wonders why her man cheating on her and fooling around with other women at night. Why You Tryna To Play Me is a bounce music meets Outkast type of song because the song uses that type of sound, percussion, and production.
Her man is the one who stays out late at night. Cheating on her and fooling around with other women. Clearly she is not treating her right. She knows he’s been messing around. She knows he is always going out late at night. Lisa is trying to make him see that he is her man. She wants to be with him understandably. What she is trying to figure out why he is trying to play her.
He takes all his frustrations out on Lisa. He tries to blame her for all his insecurities. She tells him to straighten up his act or she’ll be moving on. There’s something always going on. She knows he’s been messing around. She tells him he has to show her his love is true if he wants her to be with him.
Until you could have been a hit song with DJ Jubilee making the song annoying. The song would be better without the annoying DJ. The bounce beat makes the song slightly inaudible.
My Love is Bout it is a test of truth faith to see if love is legit. It’s a test of love and faith. She tests her’s love to see if his love is legitimate. Her love is like an open page in a book. Her love is off the hook. That is what she tells her man.

Jewel-T - Get Nice single review
Jewel-T - Get Nice has that LL Cool J influence due to the charisma, sound, style, and production used. The single has that raw Philly sound! Back when East Coast rap was good. Jewel-T was one of the hottest rappers from Philly when this single was out back in 1987.
Andre McFadden recorded Ride The Crossfade on a radio station called Power 99 back in 1986. The song was performed on the radio. Hype, sick, and dope are three words which can be used to described this recording. Jewel-T was one of the hottest rappers from Philly when this song was out. People used to go crazy when this was played on the radio. The song clearly has that LL Cool J influence due to sound, style, and production which is used. Only the 40+ and up crowd will know this.
I Like It Loud has dope beats and rhymes. The track also uses some dope vinyl cuts too. The track is undeniably perfect in every way and sense. Only the 40+ and up crowd will appreciate this.
Rock Nice was smash hit that was released prior to this single being released. People used to go crazy when this was played on the radio. The track relies heavily on the sample of Jackson 5 - I Want You Back for musical backing.

Big Chop - It's About Time album review
Big Chop - It's About Time is one the best Austin rap album from 2004. The album has solid crystal clear production from Madd Creole on the tracks. The album has an eclectic mix of different styles on each of his songs. The album does have catchy lyrics given that this is a Southern rap album. Big Chop’s versatile skills and free style ability really stand out. One can clearly tell Big Chop put in a lot of work effort into his debut album. Big Chop is the Big Moe of Austin. He has an energy that gives you a "soul feeling" and "ear banging" vibe that you can't manufacture. It's About Time also features Paul Wall and Lil B of the Guerilla Maab, and SBF Clique.
U's a hoe is a hyphy rap song with club beats which will certainly get the club crunk. However the song get annoying quickly due to the repetitive lyrics. So keep that in mind. You don’t want no drama. You don’t want to plex with Big Chop and PVC. You will show Big Chop and PVC much respect. That is the basis of the entire song.
Grippin' Grain is a club banger performed and sung in tune of Destiny’s Child - Say My Name. Big Chop had the ATX streets hot with this song back in 2004. Big Chop is the Big Moe of Austin. At least on this song. The song is good enough to be a Top 10 hit on the charts.
25 Haters is Austin’s answer to DJ DMD’s 25 Lighters. You can easily tell where Big Chop copied the song from. Lil B of the Guerilla Maab makes an appearance. Haters are always trying to fade us.
Rollin has such divine crystal clear production that is breathtaking. Madd Creole killed the beats and pads. Not to mention beautiful use of a flute. On this song Big Chop is on the road to fame as he is chasing his cheddar. Nothing is going to stop him. So many thoughts are going through his mind.
Big explains how he is a raw and untamed lyrical beast on Raw and Untamed. He is ATX most hated. That’s the truth for sure. He is well known like the Playboy Bunny.

Nino - Unstoppable album review
Nino - Unstoppable was one of the best and hardest gangsta rap albums from San Antonio in 1998 next to Lil Sin - Who Got Yo Back. You have stellar production effort from Ricé and Magic Mark. Some of the songs such as Closer, Fortune Or Fame, and Don’t Stop Ever Lovin’ rely heavily on sampling for backing music. Artists such as Lil Sin, Mr. Joshay, Dogie, and Mr. Marlin have guest spots on his album. Highlights include Swangin’, Closer, Don’t Stop Ever Lovin’, Game On Freeze, and Eastside.
Now this Nino album relied more on the Southern rap sound than solely relying on gangsta rap as his first album did. That is because gangsta rap was no longer popular and Southern rap was becoming popular at that time. The album sold 100,000 units, just 25,000 units shy from his debut album in 1995 which sold 125,000 units.
The way Nino starts off the album is with the spectacular crystal clear crisp opener Home Of Tha Paid. The opener has clear crisp beats from Ricé and 17 Freeze. Home Of Tha Paid marked as a new beginning for Unstoppable, Big Ballin, and Youngsta Records for 1998.
Lace your combat boots. It’s time to go to war. We pulling tech 9’s, AK’s, and chrome triggers. His rhymes cost 3 G (3 grand) a flow. But deals with him are negotiable. Such as a quarter key for a show. He crushes everything that he busts. He’s been rapping since 1988. Nino is an OG from the old school. Every night he gets down on his knees to beg the Lord for forgiveness for slanging this cheese from drug money. He will ball until he falls. Nino knows just how it is turn nothing into something.
Fortune Or Fame discusses how crooked and fickle the music industry really is. The music industry is so shiesty. Nino discusses and explains his experience in the music industry on this song of his. Fortune Or Fame uses guitar samples from Luther Ingram - (If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Want to Be Right. The beats are quiet and lush.
The music industry is so shiesty. This shit is so real. This shit can fuck your head up sometimes. People are still looking for that fortune and fame. They always have been and always will continuously. That’s all some people want. Either rapping or selling cocaine is what some people do even if they say they don’t engage in such activity. They don’t want to pay the price that comes with the territory. They don’t want to pay the price of living that good lavish life either.
Nino is still playamade even though he has a wife. He is living for the fortune. People think they are set when they sign a contract for a record deal. Spending every dime until their money is gone. Trying to leave the apartments and get a masonry brick home. Nino has invested in a business. Nino invested in his own publishing so he would not get screwed by record companies. He fucks all these bitches while his mind is on his riches. Record companies often financially rape their signees. That’s the same reason these rap groups break up is all over money. For the fortune and the fame.
He remembers so vividly like it was yesterday when he was on the block selling rocks every day. His 20’s are so big. Geekers are beeping him all the time. First came the money, the power, and then the fame. Consequently he blew up so big to where law enforcement knew his name. Law enforcement was all up in his business trying to shut him down like his partners Whitney Brown and Kammboi (?). They both served a 20 year federal sentence.
Sometimes when you fall off and your game is slower than usual, the game is on freeze. Sometimes things come to a halt when you fall down the ladder. But you end up later getting back into your position. That is what Game On Freeze is about. The song features Nino of P.K.O., Dogie, and Mt. Joshay. Ricé and 17 Freeze aka Skip Wayne produced Game On Freeze. 17 Freeze played the guitar. The beats are quiet and lush.
The game is on freeze like it’s -20º F below. Ain’t nothing shaking in the trees from pounds to kilos. Loosing 10 grand ain’t shit to Nino. He can do a show overseas and come back home to perform. Nino fell off for a minute back in 1996 but he got back into his position in 1998. There’s no shit in competition. He got them hoes on their toes. All his dreams came true. Recognize that a real pimp is being chosen. Nino is just a six figure nigga rapping. No more Gucci or alligator shoes on his feet. His game is on freeze.
All Mr. Joshay wants to do smoke a blunt but he has to get that money. Why are they player hating on him? He represents San Antonio. Him and Nino have got the game on freeze.
Is it the crazy bitches that they be pimpin’ or those trips to Las Vegas that people are hating on them? Mr. Joshay can’t seem to understand all the hate aimed towards them. People can have nice things but they take them for granted. He has a bad ass yellow hammer and a condo in Atlanta. Southernplayalistic swang is nothing but a Texas thang. (It’s also a Georgia thang too.) Mr. Joshay shows love to all gang sets.
Now the verse rapped by Dogie is just as smooth and whimsical as Mr. Joshay’s verse. He has the same smoothness as he does.
Anythang 4 Tha Paper explains and discusses how people will do anything for money.
People be falling off and have no game. Nino knows some niggaz that will do anything for the paper. That is with a clear conscience. Quick to pull a caper. Ask the neighbors next door. Nino wants to get paid like Tony Draper. His business is smooth, suave, and nonchalant. That’s all he wants. He’s got killaz on the payroll. These killaz keep his enemies in fear. Nino is military minded. Anything for the paper. We’re having it all.
Lil Sin knows some niggaz that will do anything for money. Nino and Lil Sin are unstoppable. Get it smooth or he’s popping you. Money situation has Lil Sin shook in the worst way possible. His life is fucked. He is wondering who’s got his back. So he’ll be strapped with a gat when they come to attack him. Now danger is something he is facing hanging with a bunch of strangers. Lil Sin thinks about committing this crime. Holding his pistol steady ready to get this lick. There’s a bullet in his extra clip. His mission is to get millions. That’s the meal ticket for Lil Sin.
Closer deals with Nino trying to get with this sexy female for a long time as they are more than just friends. This song was dedicated to her. The song gets kinky and sexually explicit in nature. Ricé produced those fine ass beats you hear on the song. Closer relies heavily on Surface - More Than Friends for music backing.
Nino wants to be more than friends with this sexy female whom he has been trying to get with for a long time. They’ve been friends for too long not to have something real.
He wants to get closer to her. He wants to be more than friends. So he picks her up and all her friends in his flashy Benz. Can’t forget his jimmy hat incase he goes for a swim. So bag it and bone it. She was slim and had a cute face looking like Lil Kim. He’ll treat her to red lobster. It’s still all good even if she has kids. Nino will keep it real with her to the end. Every playa needs a real lady on their side to the end. Eventually being more than friends. She’s on his side every day when he rides. She’ll be there until his death.
They started off as friends and homies. Until she ran her mouth to her friends at school. She’s got all her partners wanting to meet Nino. The one that got her dripped draped out real smooth. Nino is the type of player that might lose his cool. He knows the rules to this game as he is a playa. He ain’t with being broke. Sipping on booze and sailing across seas is what he would rather be doing. Their destination is Malibu, California. Just them two with nobody around. She’s on his side every day when he rides. She’ll be there until his death. They are closer than friends.
Nino dedicates the song to hoes at the very end. He tells playboys to tell their ladies that they love them. Nino knows they ain’t hard.
Nino asks those who have been giving him love and support to never stop loving him on the song Don't Ever Stop Lovin. Don't Ever Stop Lovin relies heavily on the sample of One Way - Don't Ever Stop Lovin for backing music. Ricé killed those synths as usual. The way Ricé killed those violins was phenomenal. No can kill violin stabs the way Ricé can.
Your boy Nino is out there hustling. For that he was locked down in jail. He was gone for a while. He missed his girl’s smile and his child. His baby mama teaches her kids right from wrong. That ass is all his when he gets out of jail. That means family quality time. Nino has to get life right like a black man is supposed to. He still represents that Wheatley Courts and Rigsby Courts. He’s playamade and keeps it true. He constantly lives his life on a double sword because he has love for the game. Nino has love for the game. The game has love for him. He’s not trying to glorify anything but fast money makes people happy.
The second verse (Verse 2) was dedicated to his mother.
Nino has love for his mother. His mother saw his life dwindling into a downward spiral when he first dropped out of high school. He started hanging out around his uncle and selling marijuana. Trying to act real cool. There was nobody to call but his mother when he went to jail. She was there to bail him out of jail when his so-called partners weren’t able to bail him out jail. She never turned her back him as she was there for him day and night. The only woman that was down for him from the beginning.
The third verse (Verse 3) and last verse was dedicated to them players in the game hating on Nino because of his success.
The players who are the ones using his name to gain fame. Talking about PKO this and that. But PKO is the one who got your ass on the map. While Nino is writing employee checks, you’re waiting on royalty checks. You’re standing there with a face full of sweat wondering how many units your record sold. You don’t know but Nino knows. A big baller like Nino is president and CEO. Remember Nino had paper before this rapping shit. He’s seen niggaz come and go in this rap game. Nino has been in this game for a long time.

Aaron Carter - Aaron Carter album review
Aaron Carter’s self-titled album from 1997 was sorely overlooked despite selling over a million units. People slept on his first album and not really appreciate it. His whole album has that kid-friendly pop aura and sound. This is evident on songs such as I Will Be Yours, Crazy Little Party Girl, Tell Me How to Make You Smile, I’d Do Anything, and Ain't That Cute. A majority of this album is cover songs, love ballads, children’s music, pop, and Eurodance.
Crazy Little Party Girl is about this girl who wants to party and dance all the time. Aaron has the hots for her clearly. It’s time for a party and time to take a chance. So turn up the music and we'll dance. Aaron has a little girl who wants fun. Everyone wants to love someone.
Tell Me How to Make You Smile is similar to Romeo and Juliet. Almost like a fairy tale. Tell Me How to Make You Smile could have been chosen to be single due to the title alone.
The song I’m Gonna Miss You Forever deals with the sadness in separation of a friendship. The song stands out due to its mood of sadness. I’m Gonna Miss You Forever should have been chosen to be another single due to the popish title alone.
The song I Will Be Yours should have been chosen as a buzz single not just because of the title but for having a kid-friendly pop aura and sound. The song sounds very tranquil and subtle for a pop song despite having an upbeat tempo.
All this time Aaron cared for his girl from the bottom of his heart. Aaron has been around the world and have seen a lot of girls. But no one can compare to her. It's really plain to see that she belongs to Aaron. He will be with her until the end of time or until when he dies.
Get Wild is one of those Eurodance songs that easily sums up 90s music in a nutshell due to the production and tempo alone. This is one of this songs which manages to get stuck in your head on a regular basis. Your way to find an escape from dancing to this song.
Everybody the time has come to get wild. Our youth is just an illusion or soon will be. Let's start a revolution. Explore the corridors. We'll find our restitution in our lives and our lifetime. The light is there to be seen. Your way to find an escape from dancing to this song. Now's the time to get louder. We've traveled so far to explore the mysteries of life. And the reality of our youth is overlooked by those who restrict our freedom. That is the sad unfortunate corrupted truth. Our freedom of expression. Our freedom to get wild. This is Aaron and this is my world. And it's yours too.
Now you can tell that a 9 year old did not write these lyrics due to the usage of such advanced enhanced vocabulary. No 9 year old would understand those words. Here are some examples below.
[Verse 1]
Action, your body activates freedom
Your mind excelerates passion
The time has come to get wild
Rise up and follow fusion
Our youth is just an illusion
Let's start a revolution
Explore the corridors
We'll find our restitution
[Verse 3]
We've traveled so far
To explore the mysteries of life
And the reality of our youth
Is overlooked by those who restrict our freedom
Our freedom of expression, our freedom to get wild
This is Aaron and this is my world
And it's yours

Aaron Carter - Aaron's Party (Come Get It) album review
Aaron Carter’s sophomore album Aaron's Party (Come Get It) catapulted him into international stardom thanks to the success of the singles which were chosen for this album and that children’s pop sound. You have the sounds of pop and dance in one album. The number of interludes usually takes away from the quality of the album. However that is not the case with Aaron Carter’s sophomore album. This album is one of those rare instances where the interludes fit in appropriately in, before, and after each song.
Aaron does a spectacular job of covering the song I Want Candy with his own cover version. His singing is so good to the point where the quality and charisma mirror the original version of I Want Candy. This song evokes a sense of sweetness and innocence.
At the beginning of the song, Aaron calls his friend Justin telling him he unable to come over tonight as he is going to see this cute girl named Candy.
[Intro]
Hey, Justin.
Hey, it's Aaron, I can't come out tonight.
I'm going to see this girl.
No, no, her name is Candy, she's real cute.
I gotta go, see ya.
Aaron knows a girl who's tough but sweet She's so fine she can't be beat. She's got everything that he desires. Sets the summer sun on fire. Aaron wants candy. Ain't no finer girl in town. Candy on the beach. there's nothing better. But Aaron likes candy when it's wrapped in a sweater. Someday soon he’ll make her his. Then he’ll have candy all the time.
The title track Aaron's Party (Come Get It) was probably the first to popularize throwing a party when your parents are out. Aaron Carter made it fashionable on an international and global level to throw a party when your parents are out. Aaron Carter knew how to take parties to the next level.
Here's a little bit of old school for ya that goes a little something like this.
Aaron always tried to be the flyest kid in the block. The popular one with the rising stock. So that when he concocted a bright idea to throw the party of the year. All the fine girls couldn't turn it down. Now all Aaron has to do is convince his parents to get out of the house so he can throw the party of the year. It's gotta be a long period of time though.
The doorbell rings because the party's here. First on the floor, you know that's him. Can't nobody do it like Aaron can. Bustin' out the moves like on MTV. People are all around.Things are going great. Suddenly some people Aaron did not recognize walked in much to his surprise. Aaron tells the people he did not recognize to leave. However they refuse to leave and stay at his party.
The people whom he did not recognize heard this was an open house based on a flyer somebody put out regarding Aaron Carter’s house party. Aaron did not put out flyers and had no knowledge of somebody putting flyers about his house party.
Aaron: Fellas, yo, ya gotta get out.
People who Aaron didn’t recognize: Hey, man. I heard this was an open house.
Aaron: Open house?
People who Aaron didn’t recognize: Yeah that's what the flyers said.
Aaron: Well I didn't put out flyers.
People who Aaron didn’t recognize: Well somebody did.
The girl Aaron has crush on walks in. And a kid spilled juice on his mother’s new couch cushion. He turned around and another kid broke the lamp. They got them from France. (I hope they weren't expensive.) For now he won't sweat it and clean it up later. There's a honey over there who Aaron wants to me. From the left to the right. Make noise. Aaron Carters in the house. Here we go.
A car doors open. Aaron realizes he is in trouble. He tells everyone to get out of the house. He’s hustling around the house trying to clean up the mess. He sure put his new white Nikes to the test. Of course Aaron gets grounded because of this.
Aaron incorporates the sounds of funk and incorporates that style of music with dance and pop on the song (Have Some) Fun With the Funk.
If Aaron threw a party, would you be there? Would you bring your friends too? Why should we stay at home when there's something better to do? It started in the house. It moved on to the streets. C'mon and follow Aaron.
Have some fun with the funk. Turn up the bass and pop the trunk. This party's gonna bump. Let's have some fun with the funk. Turn up the bass and pop the trunk. We all need a permanent vacation from the things that get us down and our everyday place of employment. Let's take it from the street. And move it to the beach. The sand beneath our feet. It's time to make some noise!

Aaron Carter - Oh Aaron album review
Aaron Carter’s third album, Oh Aaron, was just as, if not almost as successful as his sophomore album Aaron's Party (Come Get It). Nevertheless this is a platinum pop album you will regret missing out on listening to. You have the sounds of pop and dance in one album. You kid friendly pop songs with adolescent overtones of course. However this album is not an alliteration of his previous album. There are no interludes.
The song The Kid in You is dedicated to the youth. Teens, tweens, and everything in between. All the kids gonna bounce, jump, and snap to this. The point of this song is to enjoy your youth while you can.
You are growing up to go to school. That's a fact. Getting a job from the school. Loan and pay them back. Then you get a car to make it to the job and back. Can you tell me why things gotta be this way? Working a part-time job or full-time job just so you can support yourself in order to attend school or college.
Aaron would rather be at the pool catchin' sun rays. Guys in the deep end. Girls in the shallow end. Kids in the middle shout "MARCO POLO!". When Aaron gets old he wants to make life easier for everyone by changing how things work. Become president and play on the dream team and to bring home the gold medal for the ladies. But right now he’ll sit back while he watches Scooby-Doo eat a Scooby snack. Then he’ll grab a pen and some paper from my knapsack and do a little homework for his math class.
So have fun. That's his point of view. He always kicks it just the way he wants to. When he rolls with the changes, he keeps it real with a smile on his face. To yourself make a promise, live everyday like you're gonna get your first kiss, and if you do, you'll never lose the kid in you. Everyone wants to be stuck in their old ways and never want to change when they get a certain age. But not Aaron.
Baby It’s You is about a girl Aaron has gotten fixated on and has his eyes on too.
She's got Aaron like an addict the way she works her magic. No lifts or tucks or plastic. She is lookin' fantastic and too hot. Aaron’s not a dreamer. Gotta be strong as there is no time to kill. Check out the girl on the corner of Mason Street in Tampa, Florida. Check out the way she ties up her laces. Puttin' a smile on their faces. He is amazingly dazed. Lookin' kinda crazy.
Aaron wants to be closer to her. It’s her that Aaron wants. He is crazy for her. So don't get me wrong. Her body activates Aaron. Check out the girl on the corner of Mason Street. Gotta move 'cause Aaron likes the chase. She's throwin' her hair back. Aaron is kinda shy so he can’t muster up the courage to talk to her.
Cowgirl (Lil’ Mama) is about this chubby girl whom Aaron met that was a fan of his. (Didn’t know Aaron was a chubby chaser.) Aaron got himself cowgirl who is playing hard to get.
Okay, this is how it went down.
It was Sunday afternoon with the fellas at the play ground chillin'. Aaron’s father honked his horn at Aaron notifying him he had a show to perform at in Texas. Interestingly enough Aaron has never been to Texas. Maybe he can find a new hang out friend.
Signing autographs as he runs to catch the plane he boards onto. He saw her seen her. Chubby cheeks with long braids. Cute face and the same age. As Aaron offered out his name, she just walked away with a smile. She played hard to get with. Aaron’s little cowgirl.
Stride (Jump on the Fizzy) is about having a good time despite the title in parentheses. No jump on the fizzy does not mean getting drunk off of alcohol.
Aaron Carter is here to make it hot. Don't try to take him out. He’s the one who beat Shaq. He said come and get it though. It’s 9 o'clock on the dot. He partied down the block. He got his crew together. So listen up. Check him out because this is kinda phat. Now it’s 11 o'clock on the dot. The party's getting hot. All the girls are on the floor. We're all chillin’. So jump on the fizzy.
