Afficial - Three Kings album review
Afficial - Three Kings is a tight East Coast rap album with a tinge of that commercialized pop sound with modern upgraded production. The album has a collection of underground street bangers and mainstream radio hits. That’s why that album has that mainstream radio focus.
Ya’ll might have remembered the time when Afficial ripped the microphone in The Best Of The Booth on Rap City on BET back in the day. Afficial was DEFINITELY one of the greatest groups to be signed to the tank. S-Flames was the hardest with the bars and Yukon lit with the punchlines. They all brought different styles to their songs. Everyone knows Afficial are some straight head bustas. Ya heard me?
Afficial - Three Kings was supposed to be Afficial’s debut album that was supposed to have been released after Master P’s Ghetto Bill album. Afficial - Three Kings was supposed to have been released around March 2005. The album was supposed to be released on Koch Records and Universal Records. This was the album which was supposed to come out on the No Limit East sublabel. However this did not happen because Master P ended No Limit Records distribution with Universal Records in 2003. Afficial - Three Kings was part of No Limit Records catalog which was sold to Universal Records. That is what happened to the album.
Can't Touch Us was originally Afficial’s song which ended up being used on Soulja Slim’s 2001 album Streets Made Me. The song served as the good ender on Soulja Slim’s 2001 album. Afficial shows off their hardcore versatile lyrics. Afficial definitely brings out the East Coast flavor into the song. S-Flames was the hardest with the bars and Yukon was lit with the punchlines. They all brought different styles to their songs. Everyone knows Afficial are some straight head bustas. Ya heard me? No Limit is the family. The army is strong.
Afficial wears Jordans and ride on 23's (23 inch rims) on the truck while screened up (having tinted windows). Their chrome wheels on their truck feel like you are riding on ski’s. That is what the lyrics, “Chrome wheels it feel like you ridin' on ski’s” mean.
Smoking that sticky green. Afficial is spazzed out with a spaced out look. That is why members of Afficial have that spazzed out look. You can catch them rolling in their Jaguar. Play hard, pop fly, and get bitches to jump rope is their motto. Game over is the law and their motto also. These little niggas ain't ballin' right. Afficial gotta call the plays out. Afficial flips shit up and turn dogs back to puppies. They sure is ugly.
S-Flames was the hardest with the bars. Read these lyrics of his.
[Afficial (S-Flames)]
The bigger the barrel is it's harder to swallow
I gotta put you in the creek where the water is shallow
Afficial, game over is the law & the motto
Put it out for the bitches & the niggas to follow
Afficial brags about how they are living the good life with their good lavish lifestyle on the track My Life is Sweet.
Their life is sweet. You could tell by the Benz, the Beamers, and the Jeeps with big wheels and big grills which make them people say oooh-weee. Custom made Bentleys with TV’s and mink seats too. Afficial raps slowly up on the block with a gun and a package as they are putting in work in the streets and in the studio. All the product of speed to match Master P’s work ethic. See all these chicks wanna get with Afficial.
I thought I told you. The flow don't stop. And it ain't No Limit on the stage if the show don't rock. There ain't No Limit on the stage. You can still catch Afficial up in them clubs in that 2K3 Yukon sitting up on them dubs. When S-Flames gows to the lot, they call S-Flames Connect Four because he bought four cars with four doors. He spent another million dollars to put diamonds on the grill. He gets paid every month like child support. It's real. While you cats come up slow like Lamborghini doors, you might see S-Flames in a Range Rover or a Porsche Lamborghini by himself or with the members of Afficial depending on the case or situation.
S-Flames lyrics are playful and whimsical here. Read his lyrics.
[S-Flames]
When I go to the lot, they call me Connect Four
Cause I bought four cars on the road, with four doors
Spend another mill, put diamonds on the grill
Push a button, and my gun pop out the steering wheel
It's real, stack dough and make more
While you cats come up slow, like Lamborgini doors
You might see me in a Range, you might see me in a Porsche
I get paid every month, like child support
Yukon was lit with the punchlines in his lyrics. Read his lyrics.
You can still, catch me up in them clubs
In that 2K3 Yukon, sitting up on them dubs
Since they wanna know, about my whip
I'ma tell em like this, I got enough keys to start a dealership
Now how they think they floss toys
When we in places, so far from home they call us the Lost Boys

Afficial - Game Over album review
Afficial - Game Over is an East Coast rap album with some of the tightest freestyle sprinkled with a tinge of that commercialized pop sound over modern upgraded production and urban beats. East Coast rap meets Southern rap on this Afficial album. This collection of underground street bangers was available in stores on the East Coast of the United States and was initially available through their geocities website. The album was sold through money order on their geocities website and was pressed up in limited quantities. Ya'll don't know about the underground Philly hip hop/rap.
The Game Over album had songs such as We Some Hustlaz, Who Dem Niggaz? with Silkk The Shocker, A Little More, War, Bring It On, and Soldiers with Krazy of 504 Boyz.
Now Afficial - Game Over was supposed to be Afficial’s second album that was supposed to have been released after Master P’s Ghetto Bill album in April 2005 on Koch Records and Universal Records. However No Limit Records popularity was declining and they were losing momentum. No Limit had been a mainstay for more than a decade by that point. Afficial had felt they were not getting the push and promotion they deserved. So Afficial decided to release their album on their geocities website by money order to their fans. That is what happened to the album.
Ya’ll might have remembered the time when Afficial ripped the microphone in The Best Of The Booth on Rap City on BET back in the day. Afficial was DEFINITELY one of the greatest groups to be signed to the tank.

Afficial explains why you don’t want to go to war with them on the self-explanatory track called War.
Y'all don't wanna war with Afficial. When there's beef, best believe they bust. Afficial can take it how you want it because they are thuggin over here. Pure, uncut, and raw butter over here.
The rap game was getting better this year. They done put P with Afficial which is something better in here. Afficial is in a league of their own. Something which is out of their price range and is not in their budget. You know they can't spend that amount of money. You know it ain't too hard to tell that every member of Afficial street team ain't too far from jail. Members of Afficial are all quarterbacks and y'all gotta receive it.
Desperado writes his rhymes in the kitchen because his balls are cooking. He used to fuck average bitches and now the stars are looking. Niggas are scared and shook. He can tell by observing their faces
Desperado goes to court. The judge is dropping the case against Desperado. At least for now. Desperado’s name spread like the shells in the gauge. That’s why they can't believe it. But they don't catch that until a year later. Plus this burner to your head might make you lose your mind.
[Desperado]
I write my rhymes in the kitchen cuz my balls is cookin
Used to fuck average bitches now the stars is looking
Niggas scared and they shook, I can tell by their face
Cuz we hard to figure out, like the lock to a safe
I go to court the judge dropping the case
No blood as soon as I kill a nigga then I'm moppin the place
And I'm quick to pop the 8, that's just how I was raised
Desperado, name spread like the shells in the gauge
And age the major reason why they can't believe it
But we all quarterbacks and y'all gotta receive it
But they don't catch it till a year later
Minds kill, niggas lost so they gotta catch up like Hossfield
Your team don't squeeze, guess what, mines will
Or stop till there's a million a show like Seinfield
Plus we got the skill for this, any proven time
But this burner to your head, make you lose your mind nigga
S-Flames can feel the girls on his nuts about those Rolls and drops. Now it's hard to get her off like a Heineken top. He’s got ten young boys on the block with them quarters. Nowadays he washes his car with spring water. You fucked up comin strong with the GOAT. If the Liberty Bell rung, it wouldn't stop this fight. Get buck like Bugsy and his men go hard all night. Game over. Afficial in here.
S-Flames uses some clever wordplay here with these lyrics. “Why you just try to send your man to merc me/You can't get rid of Flames, nickname is herpes”
This is the part of the song where things suddenly get dark. “See me face to face chump, watch me beat you like my son” These lyrics are highly disturbing and unsettling.
Soldiers with Krazy of 504 Boyz was one of their more militant aggressive Southern rap tracks with a hedonistic touch. They take you head on with their lyrics. The song has that No Limit sound and flavor.

CJ Bolland – It Ain't Gonna Be Me single review
CJ Bolland – It Ain't Gonna Be Me is a big beat techno single with house breaks, breakbeats, and electronic instrumentation. This single is a must have for any DJ to use as breakbeats for their turntables.
It Ain't Gonna Be Me uses a mixture of both techno and electronic. The song uses a bit of house music at the very end. It Ain't Gonna Be Me copies and interpolates bass lines from the 1991 classic New Jack City and contains a sample by Samuel L Jackson from the movie "Jackie Brown". It Ain't Gonna Be Me was used in the Human Traffic soundtrack.
Desolate 1 is fast paced upbeat techno song with modern ethereal techno pads and synth textures. The song also uses a mean distorted bass line. The song will take you places you’ve never been before.

VA – New York Hi-Fi: High Fidelity Street Jazz From New York City’s Finest album review
VA
– New York Hi-Fi: High Fidelity Street Jazz From New York City’s Finest
is one of the lesser known and overlooked jazz compilations from New
York City, New York which did not receive the attention or recognition
it truly deserved. The album has that futuristic acid jazz sound with
electronic backing. Not too antiquated.
Vibes is a saxophone
influenced jazz instrumental which uses heavy bass. The song uses
multiple layers of instruments. An example of some of the instruments
used are a kick drum, xylophone, saxophone, and upright bass. The bass
really stands out.
Road To Knowhere has a new school future jazz
sound mixed with a hip hop groove. The bass is just as mean and thick as
on the song What It Is. The mood is very chill and calming. The New
Breed sound is soothing to many ears. Much of the instrumentation is
looped.
Stereo Viewer by Hustletron Viewer uses a collection of
drenched jazz samples and electronic soundscapes with moog synthesizers
and beat machines which were fairly advanced for 1995. Hustletron (Hal
Lee) helped bring a new generation of sound to the New Breed label in
1995 with DJ Smash and Groovilicious.
Maximizer uses a collection
of drenched jazz samples, dope breakbeats, and electronic soundscapes
with moog synthesizers and beat machines which were fairly advanced for
1995. The jazzy and electronic sounds of this Hustletron song helped the
song become an underground hit. Maximizer is one of the more well known
Hustletron songs which Hustletron fans are familiar with.

CJ Bolland – The Starship Universe E.P. EP review
CJ Bolland – The Starship Universe E.P. is one of the deepest hard trance EP from the Netherlands. Who knew Dutch trace could be so deep? The EP also uses some of the thickest and deepest breakbeats. Not to mention breaks. The atmosphere of this EP is definitely as futuristic. The Starship Universe was a representation of CJ Bolland at his best. CJ Bolland is similar to Drexciya.
Counterpoint is an uplifting hard trance song ridden with thick techno beats. Counterpoint is uplifting in a spiritual manner. The song goes into full blast mode at the 2:30 mark eating all the static. The song Counterpoint was a representation of CJ Bolland at his best.
The vinyl version of Counterpoint is much different than the Counterpoint on the CD release of The Analogue Theatre. This version has a bit more static thus the retro sound and feeling. Some CJ Bolland believed that the vinyl version was better than the watered down Analogue Theatre version.
There Can Only Be One is one of those intense techno songs which grabs your soul and takes you places you’ve never been or seen before. The song uses advanced polished instrumentation for a song recorded in 1996. A bit of distortion static is thrown into the mix and added to the atmosphere which makes the production even darker.
There Can Only Be One uses a vocal sample from the 1986 movie Highlander. The vocal sample is from Ramirez. Sean Connery played the role of Ramirez in the Highlander movie.
“From the dawn of time we came, moving silently down through the centuries. Living many secret lives, struggling to reach the time of the Gathering, when the few who remain will battle to the last. No one has ever known we were among you.”
“You have done well. But it'll take time.”
Starship Universe is a futuristic techno drums and bass track. The song uses breakbeats over rave synths, drums, and bass.

LawnChair Generals – The Truth EP EP review
LawnChair Generals – The Truth EP represents more futuristic and soulful sound of house music. The EP was way ahead of its time. LawnChair Generals – The Truth EP is considered to be one of the best releases from the LawnChair Generals. Lawnchair Generals took house music to another level with their timeless production on this release Songs such as the futuristic The Truth, the warm Speechless tune, and the funky cut Watching You.
Speechless uses offbeat hi-hats which make the song offbeat but not off key. The song uses a slow but warm buildup during the 0:50 mark. Precisely at the 2:06 is where the bass starts to kick in. The keyboard projects warm blips. Lively beats can be heard all over the place.
The Truth is a futuristic deep house song with spacious climatic atmosphere. A selection of bongos and hi-hats can be heard all over the place. The song uses some timeless production. Spacious and futuristic are two words that can be used to describe The Truth. Many LawnChair Generals consider The Truth to be a favorite.

Holy Hive - Harping EP review
Holy Hive - Harping is a chill mellow folk soul EP with American harpist Mary Lattimore performing on all of the songs. One of Big Crown Records lesser known releases is the Holy Hive - Harping EP. Soul fans slept on and ignored this release.
Oh I Miss Her So discusses how much Paul misses a honey that he loves. His honey likes the sunshine on her face. Paul wishes that he could blow the clouds away. However he doesn't have lungs big enough blow the clouds away today. Not even for a goodbye. And now she wants to fly far away to a bluer sky and sunny days for better times. She is looking for someone else to fill her void where satisfaction and fulfillment are missing. He misses her so much. He misses her dearly. She knows that Paul prefers his ocean grey. That way that it moves on stormy days. She doesn't have a heart to make it rain.
Ice Dreaming is Holy Hive’s take on The Beatles - Lucy In Disguise. The song has the same lazy mellow laid back vibe and sound. Blue drops that flow to the sky fall on to a parasol. Seen from a secret view on a roof. Cup full of the fires. Uplifting, crashing and coursing through. Coconut bubbles up slowly. Black snowflakes. White lava flows. Until then, I’ll be walking for you.

Caine - Menace World album review
Caine - Menace World was an album that was supposed to be released on Rap A Lot Records in 1998 and to be distributed by Virgin but was never released. Producers 7 Aurelius Vest and Mike Dean handled a bulk of the production. They laid down those thick beats.
Pen N Pixel designed the album cover as they were creating and designing graphics for Rap A Lot during the late 90s. Pen N Pixel placed the cover to what was his slated-to-be debut album in Rap Magazine. Some of you Rap A Lot fans may remember that back in the 90s that Caine - Menace World album was advertised in the Geto Boys - Da Good Da Bad Da Ugly album and Scarface - My Homies album.
A lot of material recorded for his debut album was used on Scarface’s album (My Homies, Untouchable, and Last of a Dying Breed) and the Geto Boys - Da Good Da Bad Da Ugly album. Those were songs intended for his debut album.
However his raps sounded artificial and his voice was too stitled. Basically those vocals of his were too smooth. So his album got shelved as a result. The other reason why his album never came out was due to a rumor about him getting shot when he was merely involved with an altercation in Los Angeles, California. That would have brought forth bad publicity to Rap A Lot. So J Prince ended up dropping Caine from the label.
Caine was none other than actor Tyrin Turner. Tyrin Turner maintained his character from Menace II Society by turning his movie persona into a rap career. Actors turning into rapper was still a relatively uncommon concept at this point. Caine went in and caused a menace to society on his verse on the Geto Boys song Dawn 2 Dusk which was from the Da Good Da Bad Da Ugly album. After Tyrin Turner made a cameo in the video for rapper Scarface’s 1997 hit Mary Jane. He felt the need to capitalize off of Caine, his character from the movie Menace II Society. So he signed to Rap-A-Lot for more than $50,000 dollars. However the album was never released to image problems. His raps sounded artificial and his voice was too stitled.

The Rhythm Slaves - The Rhythm Slaves EP EP review
The Rhythm Slaves - The Rhythm Slaves EP is some of the most atmospheric climatical house music that has ever been produced. Each song is breathtaking and uses a touch of class. Got To Get Back To You and Grooverim are the highlights which stand out.
Got To Get Back To You is an atmospheric climatic house song back by diluted bass with lounge vibes, modern electronic synths, and an acoustic piano. An interesting mix of styles. The acoustic piano is the jazz house portion of Got To Get Back To You.
Grooverim uses a classy touch and fusion of jazz house and funk with catchy synth notes overlapping a piano. The piano gives the track a sense of classiness thus retaining that deep jazzy goodness. Now this track is more funk oriented as grooves are used everywhere. A beautiful xylophone solo is performed during the middle of the track.

The Horrorist – Sex Machine single review
The Horrorist – Sex Machine was one of the most hardcore techno singles of 2003. Nordcore aka German techno over fast paced upbeat electronic synths and snipped cymbals backed with drum & bass is what you can expect to hear on this EP. The Horrorist – Sex Machine is one of the lesser known acid techno singles from the country of Germany. This single is a jammer.
The song and title track Sex Machine has a retro electro feeling, sound, and vibe. Some of those synths give that away. The song explains how The Horrorist is a sex machine. The song also explains his fetish of sadism which is sexual gratification from inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation onto others. Him being a sadist gives him pleasure.
The Horrorist is a sex machine that (who) will have you on your knees. He will have all of you on your knees. He is not taking no for an answer. Some people like to cry in bed. Go to him so he can laugh at the tears you shed. He’s got all the drugs you want. Everything you ever heard of. Don't close your eyes sweet baby. The Horrorist records his moves with his video camera. He is the director. The more you scream and yell, the more it turns him on.
These lyrics explain how inflicting pain onto others gives The Horrorist sexual gratification and pleasure.
Like a time bomb on the scene, I'm not taking no for an answer
I'm a sex machine and I will have you on your knees
I'm the sex machine and I will have all of you
Some people like to cry in bed
Well come to me so I can laugh at the tears you shed
I'm the sex machine and I will have all of you
I've got all the drugs you want
Everything you ever heard of
Don't close your eyes sweet baby
I'm gonna make us feel sick
With my video camera, I record my moves
I am the director I am the sex machine
I'm the sex machine, and I will have all of you
The more you scream and yell, the more it turns me on
Hard Step Future Force is a techno song driven by a kick drum and bass. There is bass in the rhythm to Hard Step Future Force. The fact that this song of his is driven by a kick drum is quite compelling. That seems to be the driving force of this song of his. These two layers of instrumentation are simply the driving force of this song.
This song is most memorable due to the lyrics at the beginning which are, “Bass it the Rhythm, spin goes the record/Kick drum power dose, Hard Step Future Force” This is hardcore techno at its finest.
Room Of Posers is one of his lesser known songs which hardly receives any attention. The Horrorist exposes the true personas of club goers as they are posers with his song Room Of Posers.
The Horrorist believes that all the people in the nightclub make him sick. They're dancing and having a good time. Really they're all just full of shit. The Horrorist is in a room of posers. He has to slip himself something.
He sees this beauty queen who is seen cosmetics advertisements. Suddenly she throws up on the floor. She's a beauty queen but is really just a faggot ass whore. The princess of bulimia is dancing with the king of queer who is independent film star but is really just a faggot ass whore. He can't help but stop and stare at them.
All the people dance around like fools. The DJ spins some records, he think he is a musician. The bouncers think they're tough guys but they're really just big and fat. The bartender is a slut and the barbacks are illegal immigrants. It makes him really wonder, “Why do I fit in?”
Power Is Force uses hardcore style techno over fast paced upbeat electronic synths and snipped cymbals backed with drum & bass.

PFK - Gangsta Love single review
PFK - Gangsta Love was one of the best singles in San Antonio rap from 1997. The single has hardcore lyrical gangsta rap tracks such as Gangsta Love & Live and Die Like a Soldier. Ricé's signature production can be heard all over the single because he produced all 2 songs. SO expect to hear a lot of bass, guitars, synths, and drums. PFK - Gangsta Love was a vinyl single issued by the San Antonio, Texas based label Suthern Merchandise in 1997. PFK was Playin For Keeps. PFK consisted of J Dog, KB, and Texas.
Gangsta Love was none other than Gangstas In A Playin Mood which would be used on the 1997 album Suthern Merchandise - Suthern Stress. Gangstas In A Playin Mood is a sex song. It has those heavy guitars and heavy bass. You can’t stop Gangstas In A Playin Mood. Ricé's production shines all over the place as he is solely responsible for producing this track. Sex rap meets gangsta rap with such bravado on top of provocative lyrics.
Live and Die Like a Soldier was a hardcore militaristic gangsta rap track written and performed by PFK. Live and Die Like a Soldier would be used on the 1997 album Suthern Merchandise - Suthern Stress. It's easy to be a soldier when there's no war on Live and Die Like a Soldier. Real talk. Real shit! Being a soldier in these city streets is not an easy task to accomplish. The mission is to get rich as possible and turn your cash (income) legit. People say you can’t be a soldier if there is no war. However that statement is not always proven to be true or accurate. Henceforth the title of this track. Live and Die Like a Soldier is gangsta rap from Texas at its finest.

Suthern Merchandise - Suthern Stress album review
The Suthern Merchandise - Suthern Stress album is one of the most rarest Texas rap albums out there along with Lil Sin - Frustrated By Death, P.K.O - Armed and Dangerous, P.K.O - Don’t Fuck With Texas, and Jhiame - Screamin' Dat Pimpin'! For some reason, San Antonio rap gets overlooked. This album has super heavy bass, doo-dooism, gangsta rap, Rock, sex, and heavy guitars. Suthern Merchandise was a rap group and a record label in 1997 that came from San Antonio, Texas. Suthern Merchandise was the Wu-Tang Clan of San Antonio.
Blasted is about how Suthern Merchandise blasts on these fools in these SA Town streets and Texas streets. Blastin' on dem fools! Blasted is a revenge laced track about giving payback to rivals and enemies as Blasted is a no holds barred type of track. The Suthern Merchandise group is taking no shorts or any losses on this track right here. Blasted is gangsta rap from Texas at its finest.
N 2 Deep is about being deep in the game. Deep in the game of life. N 2 Deep is also about being in too deep in a lifestyle of criminal activity. The mission is to get rich as possible and turn your cash (income) legit. However law enforcement is the biggest concern of the game.
The title speaks for itself on Money Talks. It has a super heavy bass line with that G-Funk. Money talks and bullshit walks on Money Talks. Ain’t a god damn thang funny.
A Brand New Game talks about how new the game was in 1997. Suthern Merchandise brought forth a brand new game for the year 1997 on the track A Brand New Game. Ricé and K-Sam produced the track A Brand New Game.
One In The Trunk is about killing rivals, enemies, and random people. One In The Trunk is about getting revenge for a friend that had been killed by an enemy. This track is another track with a super heavy bass line and that G-Funk stye laced rap. Ricé's production shines all over the place as he is solely responsible for producing this track. Take notice of the heavy whiny G-Funk sine used on this particular track. One In The Trunk is gangsta rap from Texas at its finest.
Suthern Stress is a 7 minute long posse cut featuring all members of Suthern Merchandise. Each and every member kicks a verse of rap. Black Jay and Lady Lunatic stand out the most on the 7 minute long posse cut Suthern Stress.
