Doomsday Productions - Pray 4 Me album review
Doomsday Productions - Pray 4 Me is one of the calmer watered down Doomsday Productions albums. This album showcased the softer side of Doomsday Productions. Doomsday Productions skills had definitely improved since the XV album. Pray 4 Me was recorded over a period of about 10 months from January 1996 to October 1996. Pray 4 Me was Doomsday Productions second album and Cin Sity Records first official release after parting with Black Market Records.
Pray 4 Me is Doomsday Productions attempt to seek for redemption which is what they are aiming to achieve. Doomsday Productions prays to get the demons off their backs and finally see the light. The song and title track Pray 4 Me showcased the softer side of Doomsday Productions. This is one of their calmer songs.
There ain't no way you finna find some mercy in them trenches. There are only death sentences and relentlessness in them trenches. In the dark trenches of life. So the only thing to do is pray for redemption. Pray to get them demons off your back and finally see the light. See the light of holiness. That’s why you are in the stone knee position every night. You tell the Lord, “Lord, forgive me for my sins and all ya’ll pray for me. I pray to God to save my soul.”
Doomsday Productions prays to get the demons off their backs and finally see the light. See the light of holiness. That’s why they pray for redemption and forgiveness. They pray to God to save their souls. They also pray for good fortune. But it’s trials and tribulation everyday for them. That’s why they are doomed to chaos. Seems like only Lucifer be listening. They think they might get struck down by lightning and chucked down in hell and dwell where it’s frightening.
Maybe tomorrow they will rise and be better human beings. However Doomsday Productions done already broke all 10 commandments. Fornication and sodomy are the blasphemous sins which they committed.
Dawn 2 Dawn explains the lifestyle and culture of Las Vegas, Nevada. Everyone knows Las Vegas, Nevada is an entertainment hub where (gambling) gaming takes place. Las Vegas, Nevada is know for its movie industry and music industry as well. Overall Las Vegas, Nevada is a business mecca. Everyone knows that Las Vegas, Nevada is the city that never sleeps. The drama is 24/7 in the city that never sleeps. Las Vegas is surrounded by crime pimps gangstas and slot machines. The real Wild West is in Nevada, son. Don’t come to Las Vegas if you are broke.
Ahh yeah. I see you made it to the second half of this journey through Cin Sity without any scars. Call a friend and tune them in to tell them Doomsday Productions is in the house and in case you forgot I'm your host Sugar D. You can take off your bulletproof vest but still watch your back we're about to mellow you out and show you how we kick it in the city of Las Vegas.
The drama's 24/7 in the city that never sleeps. Las Vegas is surrounded by crime pimps gangstas and slot machines. When Playboy 7 dips, he rolls the strip like Dan Tana. A street gambler with that Las Vegas Doom grammar. Playboy 7 is like Billy The Kid with his Gatling gun on a quest to Treasure Island in his city. Now he’s at the Aladdin Hotel chillin like a genie.
Fools in them casinos be losing they pay checks tryin to win in his city of broke and lost wages. And in the night it ain't no sleep. All night all day everyday without a doubt. That’s what it’s all about. The real Wild West is in Nevada, son. They kick it dawn to dawn. That’s all day and all night long. Las Vegas is the bomb!
The best Moet has got him lit. He’s finna sin a little and finna win a little. He’s got a pocket full of chips tricks on the strip up and down the boulevard making him a grip. Players like Playboy 7 mack tight and mob down the strip at night. Playboy 7 goes after every after party. It’s party after party with him. Doomed out no doubt.
Well it’s the weekend and he just hit a royal flush playing cards. See you win and you loose some. Ain't no sorrow in this game. It’s goin down in Northtown where the playas play. Playboy 7 is a playa for life (player for life) because Las Vegas made him that way being raised in the sity of cin. He likes to roll through them bright lights and see in the night. He hits up the MGM Hotel to see that Mike Tyson fight and takes a flight through his city like a Doom eagle. Then he chills at the Flamingo like he’s Bugsy Siegel. Cloud hoppin and hot boxin got him higher than the stratosphere.
Now where can you get liquor 24/7/365? In Las Vegas, playa.Where can you get a full steak dinner for just $2.99? Only in Las Vegas. Where can you gamble all day and get drunk for free? In Las Vegas. Where can you win 10 g's and dial a freak to your hotel room? In Las Vegas.
These lyrics explain how people go broke gambling and how gambling is addictive.
Fools in them casinos losing they pay checks
Tryin to win in my city of broke and lost wages
And in the night it ain't no sleep is what its all about
All night all day everyday without a doubt

Doomsday Productions - Filthy album review
It's Survival Of The Siccest on Doomsday Productions - Filthy album. There are no bullshit “filler" tracks on the album that were placed there just to take up space. Filthy features all new tracks from Northtowns Doomsday Productions as well as 2 songs that were featured on the Northtown vs. Westside compilation (Warfare and Redrum). Doomsday Productions is a product of destruction. This album was also the first album recorded at Cin Sity Records new studio,"The Whorehouse". The recording process began in the first week of December 1998 and was completed in early January 1999. Production for the album was handled by producers Platnum, 78, and Eklypss. Filthy was Cin Sity Records first release of 1999 and the follow-up to Pray 4 Me.
My Side of the Tracks is a conscious rap track about income inequality leads to poverty and crime. The song deals with the perils of being trapped in the ghetto. The group explains how living a life of crime (as a criminal) is not at all cracked up to be.
Gang bangers steady bangin little loc's they be hangin out on the set and this is what they claiming. Corrupted as a youngster. Another nigga drops out and opens up that local 24 hour rock house. Fool should have known that it comes with the territory. Niggas can’t find a way out while trapped in the ghetto. If you caught slippin in the wrong neck of the woods, you up against a nigga never mind a gang of peckerwoods.
These lyrics explain how criminals have an unfair advantage of seeking any form of employment. Having a criminal record can create an unfair disadvantage for a person seeking employment.
police would always jack me harass me for the petty crime
doomed to the fullest in the county facing hella time
back on the set niggas can’t find a job
but up against this white man sho to find a 1 to 3
sentence or a life term niggas can't bail out
just another black mutha fucka in the jail house
a nigga gone bad started out straight juvenile
on to that joint graduated from that weight pile
2 months later I’m back on the streets
These lyrics explain income inequality between the rich and the poor.
Rich mutha fuckas got it all on a silver platter
Poor mutha fuckas like me gotta stick together
Based on your income is how a niggaz judged
A hoodlum in the projects every day so I sell these drugs
Working as a dishwasher at McDonalds won’t get you out poverty or pay bills. That is why people resort to committing murder for money. People make more money committing mass murders. These lyrics explain how working as a dishwasher at McDonalds won’t get you out poverty or pay bills.
Moms steady preaching get a job washing dishes
I barely wash my car so you know that I ain’t with it
Last week she was trippin sayin work at Mickey D's
I pushed it on the corner of the set serving a quarter piece
Nigga can't make no money flippin fast burgers
Nigga make mo money pulling off mass murders
All a nigga need is a nine and a duffel bag
Run into the dope house flash a fake police badge
Dip n' Slide is aimed at fake people who have split personalities. Sometimes a person has split personalities. That person will say on thing one minute and another thing the next minute but it all be for real though at one time or another. This is a Playboy 7 solo where he shows us what that Cin Sity living is all about.
Playboy 7 knows you ladies out their have problems with your man sometimes and that's ok because Playboy 7 is having problems with his girl everyday. You know they say. What they don’t know wont hurt them. It’s beyond innocent flirting. It's a burden being faithful everyday anyway. Have you ever felt unappreciated? Have you ever hurt or degraded? Ever faced having low self esteem? Playboy 7 has.
Embrace The Darkness is one of the darker songs on the album with a horrorcore sound and vibe. This is one of their lesser known fan favorites. Doomsday Productions causes much chaos and destruction on the song.
Doomsday Productions is a product of destruction. Open up your mouth and embrace get a taste of their destruction, wrath, and darkness. They raise hell to wake the dead and open cells of the pen and the county jail. Real niggas ride when it's time to unload they clips. You can’t see them like the Eklypss. Trick niggas hang on the strip with the cops. Real niggas hang on Northtown and Westside blocks.
First there was darkness and then came the light. Doomsday Productions is enticed by the darkness embraced with doom. That's the reason they do their murdering at night with evil intent. Hated by many but loved by few. They represent the dark side inside you too. So don't hate because you’re afraid to face that part deep in your hear. You gotta embrace the dark. You have no choice. You must embrace the darkness.
Their evil lust for destruction and the urge to rip shit the fuck up being with them cutting up a person with a sharp instrument syndrome and leaving them skinned. Watch the darkness Eklypss the whole city. Accept it or reject it either way. He made the skies turn dark. They are scheming for death, destruction, and mayhem. Sweeping through a nation on the verge of annihilation. That kind of talk that ain’t cheap. There can be no darkness if there is no light. There can be no wrong if there is no right. Aint no retreating. Just surrender for the heartless.
You can easily tell this song was recorded in the 90s due to these lyrics. Former US President Bill Clinton was having sex with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky back in 1997 for who don’t know.
I’m the entity of punishment I needs to be yo president
And with no hesitation I’ll lead this doom nation
And if your name’s Monica you can blow my harmonica
I’d blaze a chronic blunt in a live conference for the heartless
Get what's yours embrace the darkness yeah

Brotha Lynch Hung - Midevil album review
The Brotha Lynch Hung - Midevil album was a classical medieval album with no funky beats unlike no other. This album has the most break through type of stuff on some demented shit. There’s no gangsta rap or soul rap on this album. Of course there are dark sounding dungeon beats which sound very medieval. Those dark beats set the tone for the album. Now some of these songs were scrapped songs which were leftovers from other albums and songs which were used on future albums.
The Midevil album was to be the follow-up album to Loaded and EBK4. Midevil was supposed to drop after EBK4. Midevil was his alter ego project. The highly sought after and most wanted Midevil album by Brotha Lynch Hung was one of the most demanded album from Black Market Records which unfortunately was never released due to business politics, legal issues, and theft.
That Midevil album of his came about when Brotha Lynch Hung and Sicx were interviewed by John Cardiel in 1996. This album would be a classical medieval album with no funky beats. The Brotha Lynch Hung - Midevil album was first advertised in the 1998 compilation album No Face Killaz under the Coming Soon section and in the Billboard Magazine in October 1999. The Brotha Lynch Hung - Midevil album was advertised in Billboard Magazine thrice in 1999. Brotha Lynch Hung had confirmed that Midevil is a full length album.
Ced Singleton signed a distribution deal with Tommy Boy Records for Black Market Records in 1998. The Brotha Lynch Hung - Midevil album was supposed to be released on October 1999 and distributed by Tommy Boy Records. However this never happened because Brotha Lynch Hung took too long to record Midevil. This upset Ced Singleton and Tommy Boy Records. Also he not want to sell his album to Tommy Boy Records. So Tommy Boy Records canceled their deal with Black Market Records sometime in 2000. This is when things started getting sour between Black Market Records and Brotha Lynch Hung. The relationship between Brotha Lynch Hung and Ced Singleton had gone sour. Yet he was at the top of his game at that point.
Around 2001 was the time Brotha Lynch Hung was going to release the Midevil album right after he got released from his recording contract with Black Market Records and was off the label as announced on the old SiccMade website and evildooinz forum board. Loki said Midevil was recorded and mixed.
Sadly however this did not happen. Some of the songs recorded for his Midevil album were stolen. Lynch was less than halfway done creating his album when he Black Market Records stole some of the songs out of the studio. His vocals were done at home. So Brotha Lynch Hung and his producers had to re-record the album from scratch. Now Brotha Lynch Hung has the Midevil album stored in his archives but has not yet released the album. The Midevil album still remains unreleased to this very day.
Pounds of Weed is a song recorded for the Midevil album which would later become known as Naked Cheese which was used on “his” EBK4 album. This was one of the songs stolen by Black Market Records. Pounds of Weed was recorded at Crystal Clear Studios in Sacramento, California in 1998. Phonk Beta produced Pounds of Weed.
Brotha Lynch Hung runs through hoe’s like pounds of weed. He sits a bitch on the curb and hit the 350. She got freaky when she smoked that weed. Thats why he couldn't wait to make the young bitch bleed. In his possession he had champagne cut with some rump in the butt. In the cut with that killa green and it really ain't all that bad if Lynch supply me some splene. You know his weed does not have any seeds in it.
Now he is rollin down the street in Cutlass Supreme. Lynch be off the hook like a telephone when fucking with some of dat light green seasoning. Ain't to need in it if there ain't no weed in it. Anyways, he had this black briefcase with weed in it of course. He is gone by the morning.
Later on he met this bitch while he was lookin for a Ziplock bag. She had a 72 Cutlass and he was trippin off that Alizé everyday hard as fuck. Knowing bitches ain't shit, he fucked that notch in the back of the Cutlass and got the fuck up. He saw his nigga Phonk Beta and picked him up. He had a fat sack of that bomb ass weed. Now he is twisted with a pitch grip on the Alizé.
Catch You is one of those deep dark songs which deals with the subject of death. Death will catch you with your pants down and maybe while you’re sleeping. Don't matter what you saw, death is what you reap.
Lynch remains real like his cousin E-Mil the Southside whorida. That why he can’t fuck with these Can't fuck wit these othasidas who are from other sides of town. That’s he stays solo like a black cat. He’s seen death occur with his cousin. Fuck a bad wrap. He said he was buzzin’ but you know he wasn’t.

6 Piece - 2002 Six Piece album review
The 6 Piece - 2002 Six Piece album was supposed be released in 2002 as a joint venture between No Limit Records and Universal Records. However that did not happen as boy bands were on the decline by 2002. Boy bands were no longer the “in thing” by 2002. So unfortunately the album was shelved by Master P as this was his business decision and remains unreleased. Songs such as Once Upon A Time, God Bless The Angels, Anytime, Lady, Share Your Heart, Just Can't Walk Away, and Where Do Broken Hearts Go were recorded for their third album.
Now perhaps if 6 Piece came out in an earlier decade and were fresh back in the day, they would have been on the same level as the Backstreet Boys, O-Town, NSYNC, NKOTB, ˚98 Degrees, or Blackstreet. It was due to the fact of over saturation of boy bands in early turn of the 21st century that caused 6 Piece to be overlooked. Other than that, this 6 piece album is off the hook! This is a great album for anyone who is a pop fan. One thing is definite is that this album qualifies as crossover pop.
For those who don’t know or remember, 6 Piece was an Atlanta, Georgia based six-piece boy band back in the early 2000s and were signed to No Limit Records. 6 Piece first established themselves in 1999 when they signed independently to StarrWorks Entertainment working with producer Maurice Starr. They also had songs used on Lil Romeo's album and Mr. Magic's album.
6 Piece was the opening act for Lil Romeo on tour. They joined the first leg of the NSYNC's "Celebrity POP" tour preforming in coliseums nationally. They had performances with NSYNC, Alicia Keys, Jagged Edge, Tricia Yearwood and many others. The members of 6 Piece were Micah Pittard, bad boy John Reynolds, Brandon Thompson, Bobby Ritchie, Kevin Swan, and Alejandro Rocafort (the sexy Puerto Rican). Kevin Swan stood out as the most memorable group member of 6 Piece in his tenure.
6 Piece was featured in Billboard Magazine and so many other outlets during that time. 6 Piece was described as a “pop-crossover act” by Billboard Magazine. Their third album was advertised in the Billboard Magazine back in 2002.
The album cover has all of the members wearing firefighter uniforms and standing next to a fire truck. This is not the same album which was advertised in Lil Romeo’s debut album back in 2001. This is an entirely different 6 Piece album altogether.
Just Can't Walk Away is about the pain of someone who loved you letting go of you. The song is a heartbreaking love ballad. “You never know, what you’ve got until you lose it” is the educational message of this 6 Piece song.
You are constantly going crazy over the person who loved you that let go of you. That person who loved you walked out on you. They are now and forever out of your life. That turned your world upside down. It ain't been the same lately. You don't know what to do. Without that person in your life, you are nothing. It's been a tight situation since they’ve been gone.
You keep hoping that person comes back in your life. You keep praying and hoping that person who loved you walks through that door. You constantly dream about that person and obsess over that person in a non-healthy manner. What ends up happening is that you hyper focus on that person. You never know, what you’ve got until you lose it.
Once Upon A Time was recorded for their second album and for the Radio Disney Presents Mighty Music CD which was given away at McDonald’s restaurants in 2002. Dre Allen and Gen Rubin wrote the song for Master Ps boy band 6 Piece. A music video was recorded for Once Upon A Time after the September 11 bombing in 2001 and as a McDonalds promo. The song was distributed via CD ROM in a McDonald's happy meal promotion all over the US.
Lyrics to the chorus explain how it’s hard to say goodbye and how memories can be cherished by a person for a lifetime.
(Chorus)
I'd walk across the sun to write your name in lights
I'd fly across the sky with no wings once upon a time
For you I would say anything but I can't say goodbye
Your memories I keep with me for life you're my once upon a time
God Bless The Angels is one of their more heartfelt religious songs with a gospel sound and vibe. Gospel met the sounds of R&B/soul on this 6 Piece song.
