Master P - Famous Again album review

Master P came real with it again with his lyrics on his 2015 album Famous Again. Lyricism is what contemporary rap is missing in. Master P manages stay relevant in this new school era of rap. Highlights on this album include Need To Know and Last Year.

Master P explains to use that what don't kill you just make you stronger on Last Year. There is no limit to your success. Master P proves there is no hesitation for him to graduate and elevate his education. Master P plans to bring it back with No Limit. There ain’t no limit now.

They say what don't kill you just make you stronger. All that motherfucking hate made Master P get out and get his hustle on. No Limit did it once. Now No Limit has got another turn. No Limit is doing shit niggas ain't never see. Master P is bout to break it back, boy. It ain't no limit. See how the tables turn. He says that hard work is the key to success when most people don't believe in you.

Master P proves that he is still clever and with rhymes in his lyrics. Here are some examples:

A nigga winning like Charlie Sheen
Fuck her good, she will cook a nigga collie green

Let the record play I'm back nigga, Al Green
God bitches popping for them green beans
Standing over niggas like I'm ya'll maine
A nigga winning like Charlie Sheen
Fuck her good, she will cook a nigga collie green

The Colonel of The Tank shares game about preparation, ownership and education with everyone including professional athletes and entertainers on Need To Know. "If you gettin' money this the shit you need to know." He kept real and keeps telling the truth. This is the realest shit Master P ever wrote and ever spoke. Rap is missing real lyricism like this.

This is the shit they don't want you to know. But if you gettin' money, this is the shit you need to know.

If you don't want to hear the truth, then just skip past this one. Keep telling lies because the truth hurts. Musicians signed a deal and then they lie about their net worth. You can't make Forbes and have a 360 deal. I know Everybody’s trying to get that to get that 80/20 deal like Master P did and is trying to get that Rocawear deal.

Record labels and sporting agencies give us one percent and we think we own the team. Musicians signed a record deal but the money don't match their dream. Then they put these rookies against each other. They used to be homeboys and now they are trying to to kill each other. Musicians even read when they sign these deals.

This is the realist shit Master P ever spoke about income inequality. “While Richard Branson is having fun flying in space/These artists are out here starving and catching a case”

And when you hot, they gon' let you use their house
And when you not, that's the day they kick you out
While Richard Branson is having fun flying in space
These artists are out here starving and catching a case
I don't know what they did to Mase
But I heard Ciroc gave Puffy some cake
And these hoes and these jewels will be a young nigga’s downfall

Sporting agencies give players $50 million dollars a game and then they lock them into contracts they can’t get out of. This happens a lot in the sports industry. “They giving like 50 mil' for playin' roundball/Then throw your name in the paper/And make it easy access for the haters”

Athletes got financial advisors just to pay their bills. Dre hit with Beats and now every rapper wants that deal. How you gonna make 50 mil' and go kill a nigga? These athletes use too many steroids. Now these athletes want to be rappers. These rappers make a little money and want to be trappers. Buy a phantom and don't have a house. These niggas backwards from the inside out. And y'all want to be Kobe 'cause he own the team. Rappers are losing to these sponsors and endorsements. Reality shows think they are creating stars but in reality they are making monsters

Why are we negotiating 360 deals when there is so much technology out there today? We could do our own shit. And why you athletes hookin' up with business people that never even made money before? To watch your money?
Shit don't make no sense.

Invest like a 1/3 of your money just in case you need that for a rainy day. You feel me? These strip clubs and cars don't hold no value. That's a bad investment. You fall down, you get back up. That's how hustlers do it. And if you could help your people, you help them. You don't let them starve. You never know who might be the next you. You get a lot of friends when you got money. But when you don't have shit, ain't nobody gon' fuck with you. Don't let this be you. You’re never too old or too young to be able to make music or do what you want to do. Have you ever seen a rich PD or on-air personality? anybody ever check their salary?

Get your shit in the streets to your people. Get out there and hustle. Find you somebody with an education or a job. Somebody that could help you. Stop fuckin' with all these broke hoes. Say you hang around a bunch of broke muthafuckas then you broke. You hang around rich muthafuckas then you rich.

Master P gets into battle mode on I Need an Armored Truck. He explains why he needs himself an armored truck. Master P needs an armored truck for protection as his pockets are hella swole. This armored truck has Fantom doors open up from the other side. His baby mama is richer than your favorite rapper.

He bought a mansion and knocked it down just to do it big No ceilings on the house at 19 feet. Mr. Ice Cream went to Mexico just to see Carlos Slim. If you ain't heard of him, he is richest man in the world Master P is on some Mayweather shit, He still owns the belt. And he did this shit by his motherfucking self.

Master P explains to use that what don't kill you just make you stronger on Makes You Stronger. There is no limit to your success. The song also teaches us not to be judgmental about people. Nobody is perfect.

Master P complains about how music doesn't have any substance these days. So he decides to add some flavor and seasoning to music and for the hood.

[Intro: Master P]
I guess they say music don't have no substance these days
I’ma just add a lil' flavor, some season to it
No Limit Forever, Master P, Famous Again
Ghetto motivation
I do this for the hood

Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. They say life’s a bitch when these haters are on you. How are you going to judge another person when you don’t know them? Ain't nobody perfect. But somebody is worth it.

Master P outsmarted you fakers. I know you bitches be hatin that. You haters talkin that bullshit. Master P got millions invested and applied knowledge for billions. These industry niggas phony. Master P got his foot up in the door and is now comin' for the dough. Runnin' fast like an African!

Variety of Sinz - Cartoonz Ov Danger album review

Variety of Sinz - Cartoonz Ov Danger is a goofy rap album which took jabs at modern culture and contemporary entertainment in a satirical manner. The album includes a wacky cartoony rap song called Cartoonz Ov Danger, the hood classic called Murder One, and much more. These were the old school rap classics included on this album. These are unreleased Variety of Sinz songs which people are very lucky to have as not even the members of Variety of Sinz have copies of these songs themselves.

The album Variety of Sinz - Cartoonz Ov Danger was floating around Flint in 1992 way before their album Wicked Az Kimistry was released. The album was given to friends and had circulated around the 5th Ward neighborhood of Flint, Michigan.

Variety of Sinz recorded these songs from the period of/covering 1988-1992. Those were songs Variety of Sinz recorded in the studio which never were released. Those Variety of Sinz songs were recorded before 1993 back when they were still known as Hoodboyz. Variety of Sinz had been rapping under the name Hoodboyz prior to 1993.

During this time around the early 1990s, During this time Variety of Sinz was rapping under the name Hoodboyz. 40 Fiend (Dwonne DayLove), Tessio (Tessio Calhoun), Scottie, Danny, D Kent, Kareem (Kareem Cordell), HMD (Lovell Sims), and D Polk/Helebe (Dion Polk) were the original Hoodboyz. As well as others. They had demos floating around Flint in between albums.

Cartoonz Ov Danger is a lost Variety of Sinz album which was a demo on cassette which nobody has anymore. Not even the members of Variety of Sinz have copies of this demo album anymore. What baffles the fuck out of me is how Variety of Sinz lost these songs. That's sad that Variety of Sinz doesn't even own all of their own songs and albums anymore. That's sad 40 Fiend doesn't have any of those songs no anymore.

Cartoonz Ov Danger was another one of Variety of Sinz lost songs recorded in 1991. The song is low quality since the song was recorded on a cassette deck. The song was over recorded with several songs. Cartoonz Ov Danger was on their unreleased demo cassette before Wicked Az Kimistry was released. Cartoonz Ov Danger are cartoons of danger.

Cartoonz Ov Danger is a wacky cartoony rap song where members of Variety of Sinz diss and fight various cartoon characters. The members go around assaulting various Disney characters and go on a chaotic rampage.

Some of the lyrics to 40 Fiend’s which is the first verse used these lyrics:

They got me thieving as I rap up on a Ninja Turtle
My gat went zoom to his dome
Drop to Leonardo
They call me shredder because I’m hard as a rock
My posse’s strapped

40 Fiend disses Gargamel of Selby Hood in his verse by calling him Astriel using these lyrics: “My papa hated Smurfs/His name was Gargamel/He took his sack and took it back/His name was Astriel/I’m not a killer, I’m just a rhyme creator/I cleaned out the Kool-Aid man”

40 Fiend talks about killing Superman and the Rescue Rangers in these lyrics: “His name was Superman/Now his name is Deadman/I’m homicidal/Cartoonz of Danger/No one can help you/Not even the Rescue Rangers/I had to kill them”

He also talks about killing the Disney™ character Mickey Mouse in these lyrics:

Why must I cry because I killed Mickey Mouse?
Him and Goofy shouldn’t have tried to break into my house
I found a ladder and rat is eating up my cheese
I pushed him down to the floor like Humpty Dumpty
Then Goofy swung
I tried to hit him with a left blow
Minny Mouse was in my house
His boy was Donald Duck
He tried to rush me
I pulled my gat
He started running back to Disney
I never liked Disneyland when I was growing up
My parents made me join the stupid Mickey Mouse Club
That Mickey Mouse made me mad

Some of the most memorable lyrics on this song from 40 Fiend were:

They got me thieving as I rap up on a Ninja Turtle
They call me shredder because I’m hard as a rock
I’m not a killer, I’m just a rhyme creator
Why must I cry because I killed Mickey Mouse?
Him and Goofy shouldn’t have tried to break into my house
I’m on the loose and I’m killing cartoons y’all

His name was Superman
Now his name is Deadman
I’m homicidal
Cartoonz of Danger
No one can help you
Not even the Rescue Rangers
I had to kill them

What baffles the fuck out of me is how Cartoonz Ov Danger ended up getting lost and how that none of the members of Variety of Sinz got a copy of that song. That's sad that Variety of Sinz doesn't even own all of their own songs. Apparently no one else owns that song. Variety of Sinz had a lot of "lost songs" they recorded in the studio which were never released. Cartoonz Ov Danger was one of those songs Variety of Sinz recorded in the studio which was never released.

Murder One is a track about committing murders. Think murder rap. 40 Fiend and DJ Clay produced the track using a handful of samples. Murder One is quite similar to Murder One On A Punk Muthafucka by Tweedy Bird Loc.

This version of Murder One was later used on their 1993 debut album Wicked AZ Kimistry. The Variety of Sinz version of Murder One is a remix which only features Titan of King Hood Cykoz and Deuce 11 Gz/Duece 11 Gz on the hook. The Variety of Sinz version of Murder One is a remix of the original version.

Variety of Sinz/Hoodboyz - Hooterville album review

Variety of Sinz - Hooterville / Hoodboyz - Hooterville is a classic old school rap album with raw versatile lyrics which certainly will leave a long lasting impact on your ears. Highlights of the album Hooterville, 9th Ave, Cartoonz Ov Danger, Still The Same. Variety of Sinz had a more gangsta rap oriented edge on this album.

The album Variety of Sinz - Hooterville was floating around Flint in 1992 when their album Wicked Az Kimistry was being recorded. The album was given to friends and had circulated around the 5th Ward neighborhood of Flint, Michigan.

Hooterville has old school rap classics such as Hooterville, Cartoonz Ov Danger, 9th Ave, In The Game, Still The Same, and How We Livin. Those were songs Variety of Sinz recorded in the studio which never were released. Variety of Sinz recorded these songs from the period of/covering 1988-1992. Those Variety of Sinz songs were recorded before 1993. Back when they were still known as Hoodboyz. Variety of Sinz had been rapping under the name Hoodboyz prior to 1993. These are unreleased Variety of Sinz songs which people are very lucky to have as not even the members of Variety of Sinz have copies of these songs themselves.

As well as others. They had demos floating around Flint in between albums.

Hooterville is a lost Variety of Sinz album on cassette which nobody has anymore.

Once upon a time in the hood before Blunts, there was a hit song by The Hoodboyz called Hooterville which was a classic. This shit was tight. True Hoodboyz/Hoodboy shit flat out. Hooterville is a reference to 9th Avenue in the 5th Ward neighborhood. Hooterville featured verses from 40 Fiend, Tessio, Danny, and Scottie.

Hooterville was recorded when Variety of Sinz was rapping under the name Hoodboyz back in 1990. Variety of Sinz was still Hoodboyz then. Kareem was beatboxing at the time Hooterville was recorded. He was the one that was doing all the beatboxing on Hooterville.

Lyrics to the song go as follows. These here are partial lyrics.

Hooterville! Hooterville! Take em back to Hooterville!
Let me take you all back to Hooterville
Hooterville Hooterville comin back for the kill
Take a lil sip and tell me how ya feel
Hooterville! Hooterville! Take me back to Hootyville!
Hoodboyz dizzy niggas

Scottie’s verse was in the middle of the song somewhere. Scottie’s verse ended with something like this.: "See that's the only way Scottie get fucked up!" and "On my way to Hooterville I had to make a stop/Had to check around the corner cause my spot was hot."

Scottie came in hard too with that voice of his which was a motherfucker. That shit was tight. His voice was a cold Ice T voice. Scottie was the 9th Avenue Hood Boy.

“Now it’s my turn to take em back to Hooterville/Keepin my hand on the mothafuckin steel/See that's the only way Scottie get fucked up!”

Now it’s my turn to take em back to Hooterville
Keepin my hand on the mothafuckin steel
Had to check around the corner cause my spot was hot
On my way to Hooterville I had to make a stop

Dwonne DayLove says, “Hell yeah he came in hard too that voice was a mf. I dont even know the order we went in HoodBoy Scottie was in the middle somewhere.”

Dwonne DayLove says, “Hell yeah he came in hard too that voice was a mf, I dont even know the order we went in HoodBoy Scottie was in the middle some where” and that Danny had the hardest verse hands down when he made the song. Danny’s verse was the first verse. Danny was on there flowing too. Danny had the hardest verse hands down when he made the song. His verse was the first verse.

Part of the lyrics to Dwonne DayLove’s went as, "On my way to Hooterville I had to make a stop/Had to check around the corner cause my spot was hot."

What baffles the fuck out of me is how Hooterville ended up getting lost and how that none of the members of Variety of Sinz got a copy of that song. That's sad that Variety of Sinz doen't even own all of their own songs.

The 9th Ave cut is a duo with/between Helebe and 40 Fiend. The 9th Ave cut was recorded in 1992 at 40 Fiend’s house on 9th Avenue. The song laced with a soul sample which you can hear in the background. This whole cut/song is an anthem to 9th Avenue.

Helebe kicks off this cut with his wiggity wicked rhymes while 40 Fiend raps. 40 Fiend is deep up in the game on 9th Ave. Helebe’s deep up in the game also. You know that he’s hustling both illicitly and illegally. Both of them let us know Hoodboyz will never die.

A Girl Named Nikki is about this trick named Nikki who was a prostitute gave away her body to various men in the city of Flint. Variety of Sinz tells us the devious sexual details in the life a female prostitute. It's gets ugly in the end of course. But that's the way the prostitution game goes. The lyrics are way wicked on the song.
