King Hood Cykoz - The 120 Minute Album is a long forgotten rap album from the 90s out of Flint, Michigan that has been long forgotten and overlooked. The legacy of King Hood Cykoz (Kinghood Cykoz) has been long overlooked. The album has an eerie vibe where horrorcore meets acid rap and gangsta rap. The album also has got that classic horrorcore style which is dope. Kinghood Cykoz has the dark grimey sounds you would expect to hear from the streets of Flint.
The King Hood Cykoz - The 120 Minute Album is a lost album which had hood classics such as Visionz Of Insanity ’92, the remix to Bloodstainz On My Shoe Stringz, Half Deck, Tootin With My Homiez, Half Deck, The Ladder, Dreams Do Come True, and It’s On. All those songs were recorded at Boomin’ Studios back when it was located in DJ Clay’s parents basement at 3758 Worchester Drive in Flint, Michigan. The King Hood Cykoz - The 120 Minute Album is a 2 hour long album which contained songs King Hood Cykoz recorded from 1992 to 1994.
The King Hood Cykoz - The 120 Minute Album is a lost album only less than 5 copies were ever pressed. Titan, DJ Clay, and Chris Miller were the people who owned copies of that album on cassette. Titan had the album at one on point before lending it away to friend in 1996. The stereo deck of the friend Titan lent his cassette copy of the King Hood Cykoz - The 120 Minute Album and Titan threw away his cassette copy of King Hood Cykoz - The 120 Minute Album that popped. Today the album is a lost album which only DJ Clay has since he kept copies of nearly every song and album that was recorded at Boomin’ Studios and Boomin’ Records.
The sad reality is that hardly anyone remembers or respects the legacy of King Hood Cykoz anymore. Unfortunately people have started disrespecting the group King Hood Cykoz. There seems to a lot of hate directed towards remaining members of the group for whatever reasons may be. The legacy of King Hood Cykoz has been long overlooked.
What’s also sad is when people mention King Hood Cykoz, they only mention Leathaface (Bruce Moore) or Lucifer (Marc Steele). Not Titan Kill-A-Gram, Lunatic, Maniac, or J Roc. People don’t hardly mention Titan enough. Titan was the best lyricist of them all. Him, Leathaface, Lunatic, and Marc Steele stood out. Their engineer DJ Clay admitted, “They’re way ahead of their time.”
The intro was produced, programmed, and by none other than DJ Clay. Titan Kill-A-Gram performed on the intro. The intro was recorded in 1993.
The album starts off with an intro. The intro starts off with a distorted synth over a looped heartbeat which quickly turns into a hodgepodge of samples. Similar to an electronic soundscape from Kaskade, DJ Krush, or UNKLE.
Titan repeatedly says “ka-ka-ka-King ka-ka-ka-ka-King Hood” during the intro in a stuttering manner of speech. The repetitive words blend in perfect with the eerie vibe.
We first hear a news clip about the most dangerous man to walk the city streets of Flint, Michigan. The news reporter states that Ronnie Johns is now incarcerated and behind bars in jail awaiting trial for the murders he committed. The news clip was an actual news clip that was used at his trial in 1991. Back then Ronnie Johns was known as the “.44 cal killer”.
DJ Clay reused the sample of a news clip from when Ronnie Johns was arrested for his murders he committed back in the 1990s on the intro.
He was in connection with as many as 4 murders. Ronnie John killed more than 10 people. And that’s just the ones we know about. There is a high possibility that he killed and had more people murdered than we even know about.
Ronnie Johns had often affiliated himself with the King Hood rap group Criminal Background from Rankin Street a block or so north of Dayton Avenue (Dayton Street). Ronnie Johns was a murderer and burglar who was once a fry cook. He used to rob drug dealers at dopehouses. He had affiliated himself with Criminal Background members White Lee and Young Po until his arrest in 1992.
The intro ends in samples of laughter. Rain during a loud thunderous storm can be heard at the very end of this intro.
The song Visionz Of Insanity ’92 aka Visionz ’92 and Visionz of Insanity (Remix) is about how the members of King Hood Cykoz are having immoral thoughts about visions of insanity. Visionz Of Insanity is a posse cut with all members included. T-Gram included.
Now this version of Visionz Of Insanity is not the same Visionz Of Insanity on the cassette that was passed around at Valley School in 1992 and in 1993. Visionz Of Insanity ’92 did not feature the verse from Marc Steele. This was because he was not in the group yet. Only Titan, Bruce, and Lunatic rapped on Visionz Of Insanity ’92.
Visionz Of Insanity ’92 is the song which calms down the mood down for this album. This is the song which calms the album down. Visionz Of Insanity ’92 is surprisingly calm and tame compared to the other songs on this album. The flute ensemble is what gives this song a calm vibe.
The song Visionz Of Insanity is similar to Geto Boys - My Mind’s Playing Trick On Me which is not a surprise because King Hood Cykoz was highly influenced by the Geto Boys and Scarface. Gangsta rap meets the sounds of horrorcore rap on Visionz Of Insanity. The song uses a bit of reality rap.
Visionz Of Insanity samples Funkadelic - Mommy, What Is A Funkadelic and Geto Boys - Mind Playin’ Tricks On Me. Most of the song relies heavily on the Geto Boys sample though.
The song starts off with some static over thunder, lighting, and rain. You can hear low quality sound in the static yet the production has a high value. DJ Clay knows how to give a low quality song a high value in production.
Lunatic is having visions of insanity. It’s so clear to that he is not a normal man. He is going crazy. Wondering if he will live to see the next day is something he often thinks about. It might be a fatal reaction to the lives he took or a harsh punishment for not living by the book.
Lunatic is slowly turning into a mad man. He needs some help. No one goes to check on him. Who gives a fuck about a though with a half deck?
A deranged maniac is what he feels like. Suicidal is something he feels too. He describes himself as an insane maniac. Hazardous to his own health. He’s not a normal man. A vision is what it started off to be. The only way to get out of this insane life was to slit his throat.
Titan was 19 when he wrote his verse for Visionz Of Insanity. Titan wonders if his father is his kin or worst enemy. He was kicked out his parents house because he wasn’t going to school. This happened when he was 19.
Flashbacks of suicide attempt back in 1991 are what made Titan want tear up his whole house to find a gun. He wanted to end his life. He prays for death. Him and his girlfriend were fighting constantly during that time. Their only method of communication was by phone. So he would often drink heavily. This is his way of coping. There was no way to get out this insane life for Titan.
So he grieves. Titan rolls up his sleeve. He cuts his wrist. Tragedy occurs as Titan shot himself in the head as he committed suicide. 4 cykos are staring down at Titan wondering what had happened. T-Gram died on wax from insanity.
Cocaine and thoughts of seeing his father in the morgue are what’s giving Bruce Moore visions of insanity. Cocaine has affected his brain. It seems like he’s all alone. He went through so much in his life. Every other second he sees an image of him dead. He hears voices calling him. Bruce tries to ask for help but his family doesn’t seem to care. His family calls him a crazy lunatic.
Bruce talks to himself in the cemetery. He asks his father for help but his spirit can’t hear Bruce. Bruce is staring at his father’s tombstone. There’s no more hope left. Bruce has to face reality. The reality of his father not coming back from death.
Bruce Moore was dead at birth with a murderous ambition. He’s legally insane and manic depressive. Doctors want to keep him away from society. He spent 3 long months in a mental asylum. Thoughts of a suicide are in his head. It started in the year of 1989 when his father Keystone “Kimosabe” Moore died.
He grabs the 12 gauge to let the pain out. He proceeds to blow his brains out. Of course he is alone as he kills himself. Bruce grabs the chainsaw and takes his insane rage out on somebody else because his mother never helped him out when she should have helped him.
Bruce has the mind of a psycho (cyko) and a serial killer. Bruce’s life is a seesaw. His best friend is a chainsaw. Bruce stays away from his family to keep their lives out of danger.
Bruce tells everyone at the end that their visions are to have immortal thoughts and to kill you next. They also have immoral thoughts. King Hood Cykoz in this bitch.
Half Deck was a Randy J/Lunatic duo where Randy J and Lunatic rapped their asses off. This was one of their best songs. Half Deck really surprised Titan, Smoove T-Roc, and DJ Clay. Because it was Randy J and Lunatic showing what they had. Half Deck was a Top Authority inspired/influenced song since King Hood Cykoz was inspired and influenced by Top Authority.
Half Deck should have been a single which hit stores in 1993. Honestly there should have been a remix of Half Deck by Randy J and Lunatic that sampled Top Authority - Half Deck. The song Half Deck makes me feel safe as a dry hump. And I'm fuckin with a half deck. I’m safe as a dry hump and fucking with a half deck. But one things for sure is that King Hood Cykoz is fucking with that half deck. Sadly nobody has that song anymore.
Bloodstainz On My Shoe Stringz was written by none other than the great Bruce Moore himself! What’s unique about this song is the use of turntablism. DJ Clay programmed the beats. Now this version of Bloodstainz On My Shoe Stringz was a remix which featured C-Lo D of Ruff N Rugged. This version was recorded in the summer of 1993. Only DJ Clay has this song.
Something is on Bruce’s mind. His set was beefing with some bitches on the Southside of Flint. The South Side of Flint is Blood territory. King Hood is GD territory. GD’s and Bloods often beef due to being from different sides of the rag. It’s basically gang politics.
Either way, Bruce ain’t going out with a fight. While rolling down Dayton Ave, he realizes he has to kill a mothafucka fast. His soul is telling his to get it over with. The sight of blood made him slay a bitch. The spot is hot. Bruce is clocking 30 g’s (30 grand). He did the job. This shit is getting dangerous to him. He’s got blood all on his shoe strings. Bruce left the evidence of blood on his shirt. A bitch tested him so he killed her family. He’s a lunatic with no screws.
The Ladder was a deep song which was a Visionz of Insanity sequel with Titan just by himself. Interestingly enough, The Ladder is one of those deep psychological songs. The Ladder was one of the best songs on the album also. The reason why Titan recorded this song is because he felt like he had something to prove with his lyrics. It was a very personal song to Titan. The Ladder is a song that mentions Adowa. Adowa was who Titan was talking about in The Ladder. This was because Titan was dating her at the time this song was being recorded. The Ladder explains the broken relationship between Titan and Adwowa.
The Ladder was recorded in 1993 when Titan’s demo album was being recorded. DJ Clay engineered and produced the song including the beats. The Ladder is one of those songs which no one has anymore. Nobody has The Ladder anymore. I can only imagine how dope it was.
Chorus to The Ladder is the chorus to King Hood Cykoz - Visions of Insanity which goes “I’m having me a vision of insanity/I’m having me/I’m having me/I’m having me”. Which is chopped. The Ladder samples a beat from Compton’s Most Wanted - Hood Took Me Under and Boss - Deeper.
Not too many people know this but The Ladder was mentioned in Everyday Life Of A Cyko during Titan’s verse. “It still don’t matter if I fall down the ladder/Grab the .48 and watch the brains scatter/Everyday life of a cyko” The Ladder was mentioned in Everyday Life Of A Cyko which was a song that came from the King Hood Cykoz 1993 demo.
Tootin With My Homiez was a song Titan came with and formulated himself with no outside help. Gangsta Huey’s crib is not what inspired Tootin Flake With My Homiez. The song was recorded in late 1992. Sadly no has Tootin With My Homiez anymore as Tootin Flake With My Homiez is one of those lost songs.
Tootin With My Homiez used funky guitar echoes over a hazy vibe perfect enough to get high to. This is one of those “get high songs”. Which makes sense because Tootin With My Homiez samples Dead At Birth - That's What You Get. DJ Clay used the guitar sample of Dead At Birth - That's What You Get in the song. Not any of the beats. He was the one who engineered and mixed the guitar sample into the song.
Honestly Tootin With My Homiez should have been called Tootin Flake With My Homiez due to references of drug use. Tootin With My Homiez is a song that would make me feel wiggly if I ever heard it.
Nightmare In King Hood is a fictional tale about what night terrors lurk in the King neighborhood (King Hood) of Flint, Michigan. This song is also about incarcerated Criminal Background member and serial killer Ronnie Johns.
The song gets quite terrifying. Of course it’s some dark horrorcore type of shit. DJ Clay produced, arranged, and engineered the song at Boomin’ Studios in 1993. The artists who rapped on Nightmare In Kinghood were HMD from Variety of Sinz, Marc Steele, and Leathaface.
Now in the beginning of the song is where things take a graphic turn. This is where things start to get violent. In the nightmare of King Hood, there are dead bodies are found in Bruce Moore’s basement.
Evidently these dead bodies were from the aftermath of a bloodbath which occurred on Dayton Ave (Dayton Street). There is a razor blade on the table. Bruce is losing his mind as he is high as fuck off of cocaine as he searches for a new knife. His nose is froze.
Back on Dayton Ave, Bruce is at the sight of a bloodbath. His neighborhood (King Hood) is always talking about Ronnie Johns the .44 caliber killer. He wonders about Demeshio Wilson. That is what the lyrics “What About Demeshio Wilson?/This nigga ain’t got it all” mean. People know he does not have a lot. He doesn’t have it all.
Demeshio Wilson was one of Ronnie Johns friends who he committed his crimes with way back in the day. Him and Demetrius Rawls knew each other.
Bruce makes references to Ronnie Johns and Demetrius Rawls. This is reference to the August 1991 murder of Lucille Bowie and Demetrius Rawls that occurred on Grand Traverse Street near 11th Street in Flint, Michigan. Ronnie Johns killed Lucille Bowie and Demetrius Rawls in a drug deal gone bad. Cocaine had taken over the small town by then. Also Bruce Moore makes reference to Demishio Wilson. He was a person who frequently hung around Ronnie Johns.
He is always in trouble as he wasn’t to go out some more. He went down on Stockdale Boulevard to rob a ghetto store. Bruce thinks about robbing somebody. He is killing his friends and foes with the mind of a mental patient. He has a vision of clearly death. Don’t try to run for your gat because you’re getting your head cracked.
Back on the streets is where Maniac is breaking sacks. Don’t try to run for your yac because you’re getting your head cracked. So don’t call for the police. Don’t try to run for help. Maniac and Bruce are on the loose!
Bruce Moore refers to himself as a lunatic who is packing a .44. He is up to no good as he is killing bitches and snitches. Only when Bruce gets rich is when he will go legit like Jake The Flake. It’s nightmare in King Hood.
Lucifer’s verse is next.
Lucifer was the motherfucker who shot you through the window. Little do you know that he was smoking on that endo. He was the motherfucker who shot you through the window. Which is what the lyrics “Little do you know that I was smoking endo/I’m the motherfucker who shot you through the window/At times it makes me misbehave” mean.
People want to shoot and fight every night in King Hood. Lucifer and Leathaface are kicking it with Marc Steele and Lunatic. Ooting cocaine makes Leathaface misbehave in the studio.
It’s a nightmare in King Hood. The killer Lucifer is back. Deep in his pocket is a sharpened knife and a gangsta hat. Marc Steele is kicking it with Bruce Moore. He ain’t no hoe. 4 members of King Hood Cykoz bumrushed the studio. He is fucking with cocaine again. Ooting cocaine makes Lucifer misbehave in the studio. Ooting cocaine makes Lucifer period.
The studio Lucifer is referring to is the famous Boomin Studios off Dort Highway in Flint, Michigan. They are down in the studio with 40 Fiend from Variety of Sinz. Nightmare In Kinghood was recorded at Boomin Studios.
Demons inside his body are making him mad. These demons are taking over his body. The demons inside his body are reference to him dealing with insanity. Marc Steele is suicidal. He is also a killing fiend. He has placed hollow points inside the chamber of his gun. His gun is cocked, loaded, and ready to shoot.
At the end of the song is where Lucifer reaches to grab his gat (gun) to shoot some peckerwoods. Afterwards he tells us, “It’s a nightmare in King Hood.” The song ends with shouts outs to various hoods and people.
Nightmare in King Hood ends with HMD and Bruce giving shoutouts to the homies and the neighborhoods of Flint.
Bloody Murder is similar to a song you would hear at party on Halloween due to the dark eerie vibe. Bloody Murder is about a violent tale of a bloody murder.
Here is how the beginning of Bloody Murda starts.: A female news reporter says, “A group black of youth from Flint, Michigan known as the King Hood Cykoz are still at large. Their known location is Forest Park as far as officials know at this time.” She then explains what’s going on. The news anchor is Rashanda Smith.
A person was stabbed by a butcher knife. There were holes in the neck where the person was stabbed twice. A knife to the head and heart was how the person was killed. The persons body was drug off to a slaughter house to be chopped up into pieces. Then the body parts and pieces were sent to a morgue. A killer maniac is still at large. Police are after this killer. Better watch out for this killer as the killer’s axe will be swung at you in an attempt to kill you.
The Late Night Stalker is a well known “cyko”. So run and hide. The Late Night Stalker puts bodies in critical conditions. Believe that it’s another bloody murder because The Late Night Stalker is on a killing spree. That killer is a lunatic.
Killa By Nature is a Kinghood Cykoz posse cut which features Janagaree and Quomon on the track. The song has a “kill or be killed” type of vibe which is incidentally what the song is about. Killa By Nature was the first King Hood Cykoz songs ever made at Boomin’ Studios off Dort Highway in Flint, Michigan.
The killers in Killa By Nature are homicidal maniacs as described by Leathaface. Leathaface lost his mind as niggaz in the hood are getting triple crossed. Sometimes at night he can’t sleep. Niggaz in Flint want to kill Leathaface. So he has to get his 12 gauge.
Leathaface needs money. He grabs his tech 9 and starts spraying. Once he stops spraying, he puts back on his vest. It’s another Devil’s Night. There is no school. Niggaz gotta die tonight. Leathaface is a killa by nature.

For those wondering what happened to Quomon, White Lee of Criminal Background (Lee Baker) laced his drugs and his mind hasn’t been the same ever since. White Lee must have fucked him up pretty bad. Quomon's minds gone like somebody who took a bad trip on acid. He was in a mental institution for a minute.
Say Goodbye To The Bad Guy is a cop killer type of track with an electro-synth laced soundscape. A lot of loops seem to have placed onto this song of theirs.
Back on a killing spree. Leathaface is a born killa. Don’t fuck around with the Flint Town Vice killa. Leathaface is a nigga from King Hood. Don’t think about catching him. He won’t hesitate to put a cop in a grave. Leathaface is ooted up from the pack and is smoking a quarter ounce.
He went downtown to pay the rent to his dopehouse. Then he went back to his set in King Hood to push weight and oot his yayo. He spots a vice cop. This vice cop finding for a blow. Police will never catch a criminal minded crook. The cop took Bruce as a joke and now the cop lays dead.
Maniac and Lunatic are quick to let the bullets go. Leathaface has got a Mac-10 to put cops to sleep. He is feeling rigid and tense. It’s to the point where he’s drinking brew and smoking fry. (Fry is pcp for those who don’t know.) A vice cop is dead. So say goodbye to the bad guy.
Dr. Jekyll is causing trouble. He’s got them bitches smoking dope. Don’t fuck around with a King Hood Cyko. Police know he’s selling dope. Fiends are at his door. Gangsta Tip is a gangsta rap themed song which uses heavy turntableism and a handful of samples along with thin beats. The song samples Zapp - More Bounce To The Ounce, Dr. Dre - Let Me Ride, and Kool And The Gang - Jungle Boogie. The song Gangsta Tip was recorded in 1992 at Boomin Studios.
Leathaface raps about how he is living on the gangsta tip. Leathaface ain’t down with society. Nor is he down with being broke. When he was broke, all you hoes laughed at him. Now he’s selling dope and getting pussy. Leathaface is hard to kill. He carries a sawed off shotgun. He has the money and the power.
Fairytalez of a Problem Child is the song where Leathaface performs a freestyle with Dr. Jekyll aka J Roc. DJ Clay produced and engineered the song Leathaface at Boomin’ Studios. The song was recorded in 1992 and re-recorded in 1993.
Leathaface tells us at the beginning he’s going to kick a fresh freestyle for you hoes out there. He’s with Dr. Jeykll on this one.
His brother Bobby Hall is a player who is into sports. Bobby’s a gangster too. He is a dopeman who loves to oot. His cousin Donnie Mayer on Foss Avenue is the same way as he is a player. They love to play pool games while sipping on tanqueray.
The ghetto is a cold place. Out here it’s a ghetto hell. Leathaface is a problem child. Leathaface goes onto rap about the insanity which runs in his family. He robbed a 7-11 store with Ira Dorsey’s Big Mac 11. That’s how it went down.
Ira Dorsey’s Big Mac 11 is a reference to a song called Big Mac 11 which came from The Dayton Family demo cassette which was released locally around Flint only in 1992. Big Mac 11 was a song Ira Dorsey (Bootleg) wrote and performed with Shoestring.
Dr. Jekyll is having problems as he running out of time. Murder is what is on his dark deranged mind. He can feel somebody watching him through the window. Could it be demons out there trying to kill him? Something is moving against his window pane. Is it a shadow or is he going insane? He called up Dwonne Daylove from Variety of Sinz for help.
Dr. Jekyll is having problems and now he is on the run from police. He is going for broke killing cops with his shotgun. A woman’s throat got sliced in the process. He drug her body into a ditch. The basement is where Dr. Jekyll goes to shoot cocaine. He’s all alone down there.
J Roc aka Randy J gives shout outs as the track ends.
Now the song would have been a good Leathaface solo without J Roc. Bruce Moore stands out by himself due to his bravado and attitude. The two of them make great music regardless.
Livin In Kinghood was recorded in 1993 at Boomin Studios off Dort Highway in Flint, Michigan. Livin In Kinghood is a King Hood Cykoz song in which Leathaface and Marc Steele take most control of. Livin In Kinghood is quite similar to Nightmare In Kinghood due to the dark horrorcore vibe.
The song Livin In Kinghood takes place at the intersection of Martin Luther King Avenue & Dayton Street (Dayton Ave) in King Hood on the North Side of Flint, Michigan. Things won’t be the same as Lucifer is back on the streets. He wants his drugs. So pay respect to King Hood and Dayton Ave. Down in King Hood niggaz love to gangbang. Niggaz there are homicidal. Selby Hood had a lot of neighborhood rivalries in the city of Flint at that time. Much of their rivalries were gang related. Selby Hood was rivals with King Hood in the 80s and 90s. Selby Hood was Vice Lords (VLs) and King Hood was Gangsta Disciples (GDs). Gangsta Disciples and Vice Lords beef with each other as they are from different sides of the rag.
Leathaface is a psychopath who does not have it all. He is killing bitches. Niggaz in King Hood were born homicidal. Leathaface packs heat on the corner. It’s been a year and he is rolling in a fresh Jaguar. Every Saturday he is rolling with them COPA hoes. He is putting fiends in a bodybag.
Ghetto Hell is about how the dope game (drug game) is run in King Hood. The song also deals with the perils and hardships of living in King Hood. Ghetto Hell is similar to Livin In Kinghood and Nightmare In Kinghood. The song is mainly about daily life in the ghetto.

Marc made his way back to Flint, Michigan. He goes to where Gina is. Someone is at the door. “Yo, Marcus man. What’s up?” Marc tells him, “Nothing much.” He asks him if Gina is on the Ave. Marc proceeds to tell him that Gina is upstairs taking a shower or a bath. Marc and him get into arguing. He shot in the head. Marc left him laying dead on the floor.
Marc made his way upstair to find Gina. He slams her on the floor and asks for Money Gripz cash. She tells Marc she took the cash out and put it in a stash spot. Marc threatens to beat her ass. She took Marc back downstairs to find her boyfriend dead. She has a surprised look on her face with her hands over her head. Gina gave the money to Marc. Before Marc leaves he shoots Gina in her mouth.

There was no way to get out this insane life for Titan.

Cocaine and thoughts of seeing his father in the morgue are what’s giving Bruce Moore visions of insanity. Cocaine has affected his brain. It seems like he’s all alone. He went through so much in his life. Every other second he sees an image of him dead. He hears voices calling him. Bruce tries to ask for help but his family doesn’t seem to care. His family calls him a crazy lunatic.
Bruce talks to himself in the cemetery. He asks his father for help but his spirit can’t hear Bruce. Bruce is staring at his father’s tombstone. There’s no more hope left. Bruce has to face reality. The reality of his father not coming back from death.
Marc Steele had visions of bungee jumping into Niagra Falls. Suicide was on his mind.
Marc asks the Lord, “Why does thou vest me with the life that I could never live? You give the things I take and take the things I want to give.” Sometimes he wonders what he is living for.
The lyrics “I’m having thoughts of bungee jumping into Niagra Falls” are a reference to how suicidal he was when he was alive. That’s why he was having visions of suicide and suicidal thoughts. The 1993 version Visionz Of Insanity is the song which calms down the mood down for this album. This is the song which calms the album down. Visionz Of Insanity is surprisingly calm and tame compared to the other songs on this album. The flute ensemble is what gives this song a calm vibe.
The song is about how the members of King Hood Cykoz are having immoral thoughts about visions of insanity. Visionz Of Insanity is a posse cut with all members included. The song Visionz Of Insanity is similar to Geto Boys - My Mind’s Playing Trick On Me which is not a surprise because King Hood Cykoz was highly influenced by the Geto Boys and Scarface. Gangsta rap meets the sounds of horrorcore rap on Visionz Of Insanity. The song uses a bit of reality rap.
The song starts off with some static over thunder, lighting, and rain. You can hear low quality sound in the static yet the production has a high value. DJ Clay knows how to give a low quality song a high value in production.
Lunatic is having visions of insanity. It’s so clear to that he is not a normal man. He is going crazy. Wondering if he will live to see the next day is something he often thinks about. It might be a fatal reaction to the lives he took or a harsh punishment for not living by the book. Lunatic is slowly turning into a mad man. He needs some help. No one goes to check on him. Who gives a fuck about a though with a half deck?
A deranged maniac is what he feels like. Suicidal is something he feels too. He describes himself as an insane maniac. Hazardous to his own health. He’s not a normal man. A vision is what it started off to be. The only way to get out of this insane life was to slit his throat.
Titan was 19 when he wrote his verse for Visionz Of Insanity. Titan wonders if his father is his kin or worst enemy. He was kicked out his parents house because he wasn’t going to school. This happened when he was 19.
Flashbacks of suicide attempt back in 1991 are what made Titan want tear up his whole house to find a gun. He wanted to end his life. He prays for death. Him and his girlfriend were fighting constantly during that time. Their only method of communication was by phone. So he would often drink heavily. This is his way of coping. There was no way to get out this insane life for Titan.
So he grieves. Titan rolls up his sleeve. He cuts his wrist. Tragedy occurs as Titan shot himself in the head as he committed suicide. 4 cykos are staring down at Titan wondering what had happened. T-Gram died on wax from insanity.
Cocaine and thoughts of seeing his father in the morgue are what’s giving Bruce Moore visions of insanity. Cocaine has affected his brain. It seems like he’s all alone. He went through so much in his life. Every other second he sees an image of him dead. He hears voices calling him. Bruce tries to ask for help but his family doesn’t seem to care. His family calls him a crazy lunatic.
Bruce talks to himself in the cemetery. He asks his father for help but his spirit can’t hear Bruce. Bruce is staring at his father’s tombstone. There’s no more hope left. Bruce has to face reality. The reality of his father not coming back from death.
Marc Steele had visions of bungee jumping into Niagra Falls. Suicide was on his mind. Marc asks the Lord, “Why does thou vest me with the life that I could never live? You give the things I take and take the things I want to give.” Sometimes he wonders what he is living for.
The lyrics “I’m having thoughts of bungee jumping into Niagra Falls” are a reference to how suicidal he was when he was alive. That’s why he was having visions of suicide and suicidal thoughts. He goes to sleep at night and prays he does not wake up no more. He has a father who does not love him. His mom is a bitch who sells her pussy for cocaine. Marc had no money or food. The only reason he went to school was to eat food.
His girlfriend hates him because she lost him to another man. He wishes he could tell her he loved her. He doesn’t care about nobody else. What has become of Marc?
Bruce Moore was dead at birth with a murderous ambition. He’s legally insane and manic depressive. Doctors want to keep him away from society. He spent 3 long months in a mental asylum. Thoughts of a suicide are in his head. It started in the year of 1989 when his father Keystone “Kimosabe” Moore died.
He grabs the 12 gauge to let the pain out. He proceeds to blow his brains out. Of course he is alone as he kills himself. Bruce grabs the chainsaw and takes his insane rage out on somebody else because his mother never helped him out when she should have helped him.
Bruce has the mind of a psycho (cyko) and a serial killer. Bruce’s life is a seesaw. His best friend is a chainsaw. He uses the chainsaw and takes his anger out on somebody else. This is all because his mother never really helped him out. She would sock him in his mouth whenever he would mention his father. Bruce stays away from his family to keep their lives out of danger.
Bruce tells everyone at the end that their visions are to have immortal thoughts and to kill you next. They also have immoral thoughts. King Hood Cykoz in this bitch.
After the 1993 version of Visionz of Insanity ends, the 1996 version kicks in with some super haunting heavy bass and reverb. The first line of the song starts off with T-Gram saying, "My minds playin tricks still in 1996"
The 1993 version of Visionz Of Insanity samples Funkadelic - Mommy, What Is A Funkadelic and Geto Boys - Mind Playin’ Tricks On Me. Most of the song relies heavily on the Geto Boys sample though.
It’s On was a duo with Titan and Marc Steele which was a tongue twister. The song was a leftover from the King Hood Cykoz 1993 album which did not make the tracklist for whatever reason. Sadly nobody has that song anymore.
Now the song Leatherface is a repetitive interlude which uses looped vocal samples over ultra-thick bass and guitar notes. One of the looped vocal samples can be heard all over the interlude which gets tiresome very quickly. That vocal sample is “Leatherface the maniac nut case”. The song is worth skipping.
RUN begins with Leathaface speaking over eerie G-Funk synths produced by DJ Clay. Leathaface does most of the talking on RUN. Leathaface came with the wicked shit for the 94. Titan is the one saying, “Run nigga run/Don’t fuck with a 2-1-1/211/211/211” all over the place. RUN is sort of an intro even though there is already an intro in place.
