Curren$y - Da Hott Spitta album review

Curren$y - Da Hott Spitta is a rap album which has some of the hottest lyrics and hardest beats. Curren$y showcases his lyrical abilities and skills with his rhymes. He never fails to impress is audiences. Everywhere I Go and That Ain’t Right are some of the best tracks on his album. Curren$y is Curren$y the Hott Spitta.

Those of you who were No Limit fans during the early 2000s might remember the Curren$y - Da Hott Spitta album being advertised as plainly “CURREN$Y” in the No Limit Records albums that were distributed by Universal Records from 2002 to 2003. The Curren$y - Da Hott Spitta album was advertised as plainly “CURREN$Y” in an emerald green solid colored background with Curren$y sporting and showing off his The New No Limit Records chain next to Young Blayze in the COMING SOON FROM THE NEW NO LIMIT section where the future upcoming albums were advertised.

Those of you who were No Limit fans during the early 2000s might also remember the Curren$y - Da Hott Spitta album being advertised in the No Limit Records albums that were distributed by Koch Records from 2004 to 2006. Curren$y’s No Limit album was advertised in Master P’s 2004 album Good Side, Bad Side.

Curren$y - Da Hott Spitta is one of the lesser known unreleased No Limit Records albums that was advertised from 2002 to 2005 when No Limit Records was distributed by Universal Records and Koch Records. The Curren$y - Da Hott Spitta album was going to be released on the date of November 19, 2002 on No Limit Records and TRU Records with distribution from Universal Records and D3 Entertainment.

However this did not happen because TRU Records lost their deal with D3 Entertainment as D3 Entertainment was suspended by the California Secretary of State over taxes in 2003.

The other reason why Curren$y’s album on No Limit was never released was because Master P sold his 2001-2003 back catalog to Universal Records when the label bankrupt in 2003. Curren$y - Da Hott Spitta was part of that catalog. Master P sold the rights of that album to Universal Records when the label bankrupt in 2003 as part of the sale. Curren$y does not own rights to that album. Rights to the Curren$y - Da Hott Spitta album belong to Universal Records.

The other reason why Curren$y’s album on No Limit Records and TRU Records was never released is because TRU Records folded on the date of November 18, 2005 by the Louisiana Secretary of State through a legislative power of Inactive Action By Secretary Of State whatever the reason(s) may have been or were.

With Me was a duo track with Choppa and Curren$y. Master P featured on this track also.

Now Choppa be marching like a soldier with No Limit army right behind him. On that Westbank is where you might find him. He’s all about getting that dolla.  mHe can pull a Prada model, t-shirt holla wobble wobble. Later during the beginning of the song is where Choppa is at the club. He pops a bottle at the bar. The henny is turning green after being mixed.

We in the club pop a bottle, at the bar
Tell your girl stop tripping, she could holla at a star
Hypnotic in the car, is all I need to get mean
We could mix it
Like one say, left to the right right, to the left left, to the right
Let me see you bounce with me, East to the West
North to the South, back to the house, come blow a ounce with me

[Hook - 2x]
All my soldiers with me (yeah)
All my whodis with me (yeah)
If you hustle hard for a nigga praying (yeah)
My soldierettes with me (yeah)
My independent women (yeah)
Them hoes hatin' cause you looking good (hell yeah)

Things gets wild like New Orleans during Mardi Gras on the second verse. Read the lyrics below.:

Everybody throw your dranks up, soldiers throw your tanks up
Hit the flo', wild out, everybody drink something
It’s your set, throw it up, show me where the fuck you from
What you drinking mix it with this, hit this weed and have some fun
Girls got they butts up, y'all know what's up
We drinking this straight out the bottle, whodi put them cups up
I'm from the home of the Queen, that they call Anna

Who’s up next? Curren$y is! Curren$y came to represent New Orleans, Louisiana. He at gets a chance to showcase his lyrical skills. He showcases his lyrical abilities and skills with his rhymes.

Curren$y pulls up in a big truck on a set of twenty three's (23 inch rims aka 23’s). He has $20,000 of cash in the pocket of his P. Miller jeans. Playa hatas are mad as they wish they could rid of him. He is always on the radio. He keeps the burner with him as he never on the streets without it. The women form a crowd around the limo as Curren$y hops out it.

And my money hell-a-long, cause I just got a check from P
Huh bitches to Hot Spitter, you fuck around if you want
And watch how quick a nigga, send you to the hospital
Stick this baretta to your braids, me and my soldiers
Sticking together like Franky Beverly and me

That Ain’t Right was a TRU Records exclusive track that was recorded in 2001 used on C-Murder’s TRU Dawgs compilation. XL produced That Ain’t Right. That Ain’t Right is a heavy lyrical rap song filled with  action packed adventure. It's about to go down here.

Now Curren$y ain't trying to take over the game even though that was his plan when he signed to No Limit Records. He’s just trying to get a Range Rover and a couple of chains. He’s got a X-ed out college bitch giving him brains. Curren$y gave her his e-mail address and an alias name of his.

Curren$y wants more green than the Boston Celtics. Let a tru nigga breathe. Don't be selfish. Curren$y be on a hot spitta competition. He can’t help it. Curren$y is known for spitting raps like that.

Curren$y sees you wanna-be rappers and gangsters claiming to have firearms. But he sees you with no straps like low-top Air Force Ones. You’re rapping on beats using pots for drums. You’re talking about money but ain't got no funds. Oh I got the hoe with me, You just can't see through the tint that Curren$y got a hoe with him. So you’re jealous. And I'm beggin ya, dog. Please don't quit rapping. If you quit rapping then he quits laughing. That ain't right. Just let a nigga breathe in the game. Aight.

He got a flat so he had to leave the V in the garage. And X see the bar on his Bentley.  Curren$y heads to the spa for a weekly massage. Curren$y, your lady, and your sister do a ménage à trois. He just copped two Porsches and the dashboard got more wood than the Evergreen Forest. Pull up on the block. Shorty is too hot like Papa Bear's porridge. Talking about you pop caps to wet Curren$y.

Everywhere I Go is about how people are always constantly asking him questions. Curren$y has to deal with haters and naysayers everywhere he goes. All because he flows so tight. Ezell Swang produced Everywhere I Go which was used on the 2002 album 504 Boyz - Ballers.

A lot of niggas are saying they don't like Curren$y because he flows so tightly, His wrist wear glows so brightly. But Curren$y ain't gonna quit. Niggas know he goes hard in the paint. He won't settle for shit.

You might see Curren$y on the block pull up in a 720' Bentley with a drop or doing donuts in a Viper. He probably won't quit until he burns the grip off his tires.

Curren$y is going to take a vacation with a couple of honeys on the yacht today. And later on tonight.  Curren$y is the don of this rap shit. His album is going platinum. Y'all niggas is going double plastic. Shit will get tragic if one of you fools choose to make him use his automatic. You don’t want to hear the sounds of click-clack-blow. He is here to show you how he gets down.

Now everywhere he goes people ask constantly ask him questions such as where he lives for. He tells the people who ask him questions, “Money, hoes and clothes is all a nigga know. And when I get my chips, you know what I'm a go and get. A house and kicks. And a couple of whips.”

Now when he pulls up niggas running like Trans cars. That'll buck backwards in a black Jaguar. You niggas is actors. Hot Spitter is the truth. Curren$y sets fire to the mic, when he step in the booth of the recording studio. There is no one like in around town in New Orleans, Louisiana. You don't want none of Curren$y because he is the man. Why do you niggas want to rhyme like Curren$y? You can't spit like you lost just a life or a grand. Watch the women run behind his jeep when he leaves the recording studio. Now peep him. Stay smooth and calm.

Snoop Dogg - Doggumentary EP EP review

The Doggumentary EP was one of the widely known unreleased Death Row projects which fans know about. The EP had the original version of Vapors, Gangsta Walk, Midnight Love, Snoop's Upside Your Head, Snoop Bounce, and more. The Doggumentary EP was recorded and created as a follow-up attempt to show people and to let fans know Snoop Dogg never went anywhere.

Death Row Records had Snoop Dogg put together a tight ass EP which was promoted. The Doggumentary EP was supposed to be released in 1998. However that did not happen. Death Row Records and Interscope fucked Snoop Dogg over. Death Row didn’t want him to succeed as they were focused on promoting 2Pac and releasing his music. They didn’t want him putting out music anymore which led to the EP being scrapped altogether. They fucked up by not releasing the Doggumentary EP.  This was the final nail in the coffin, which led to Snoop's escape from Death Row at the beginning of 1998.

Gangsta Walk was recorded early for Tha Doggfather album. However that song was replaced by C- Walkin. C-Walkin was later released on the 2000 bootleg album Dead Man Walkin. The song was produced by Daz Dillinger.

Midnight Love was recorded in late June 1996 during the same session as You Thought and Definition Of A Homeboy. Midnight Love was produced by Soopafly and mixed by Daz Dillinger. Midnight Love also features a verse from Daz Dillinger with Raphael Saadiq on the hook. Midnight Love was saved for the Doggumentary EP. Eventually Midnight Love was blowing up. It was the number one song on K-Rock.

The original version of Vapors was recorded the night 2Pac and Suge Knight went to Las Vegas, Nevada. DJ Battlecat produced the original version of Vapors featuring Charlie Wilson and Teena Marie. This version was to appear on the retail version of Tha Doggfather but was replaced the very last minute with the DJ Pooh version which was recorded in October 1996 and was subsequently moved to the scrapped Doggumentary EP.

Soopafly remixed the famous Snoop's Upside Ya Head (Soopafly G-Mix) that originally recorded for The Doggumentary EP.

Parov Stelar - Voodoo Sonic | The Album album review

Voodoo Sonic | The Album is one of the more unique albums from Parov Stelar and is one of the most diverse electro swing albums/releases from 2021. However Parov Stelar relies and focuses on using a more electronic based sound with this album of his. He doesn’t just rely solely on jazz.

Parov explains what goes on at night with the song Go Wake Up. He explains the late night festivities that take place when it gets late. He also tells us to wake up and be active.

Gather around while Parov explains on what goes on when it gets late. The time is not long until midnight. It’s 5 minutes to 12 AM. The current time is 11:55 PM.  Get together and be yourself. There's people out there bothering. Some have fears and some that are wondering. Doesn't matter what kind of skin color you have.

Go wake up. Make other plans. Reach our hands. Don't be blind. Just be kind. Know your rights. Gеt up and fight. Doesn't matter what kind of skin. Don't stop to figure out a plan. Don't negotiate with a fearing man. Don't close your eyes. Step in the spotlight.

Tango Del Fuego is a romantic “tango in the fire” type of song perfect for a romantic night or getaway. The sounds of vintage swing and modern jazz meet electronic music on Tango Del Fuego.  Tango Del Fuego is Spanish for “Tango of the Fire”.

Parov touches your lips. And the sparks go flying all at once. Those devil lips that know so well the art of lying. And though he sees the danger, the flame still grows higher. He knows he must surrender to your kiss of fire. Just like a torch, you set the soul within him burning. Parov must go on along this road of no returning. And though it burns him and turns him into ashes, his whole world crashes without your kiss of fire.

He can't resist you. What good is there in trying? What good is there denying you're all that he desire? Since he first kissed you, his heart was yours completely. If he is a slave, then it's a slave he wants to be. Don’t pity him.

Parov Stelar - The Art of Sampling album review

Parov Stelar returned back to his original electro swing roots on The Art of Sampling album. He does not solely rely on electronic music as he did with his Voodoo Album. He went back to interpolating vintage swing and modern jazz on this album here.

Parov talks about meeting woman named Josephine on the song Josephine.

Parov sat there alone listening to the saxophone while drinking sour whiskey at the bar. Then he saw her silhouette. She came and sat next to Parov. Her name was Josephine. She asked him for a cigarette. That's how they met. She be cream and honey. His personal Playboy Bunny. I was her hundred dollar bill. They spent their our money. Always out looking for a thrill. It's never cheap in Beverly Hills.

Don't get him wrong. He knows he’ll miss her face. But he is movin' on. You and me Both of them had something. Now he has to let her go. It's a matter of his taste. He has always been this way. He likes them bad girls. You know the type. The ones that are so badly behaved. Don't care about nothing but trouble. And they don't care what you say. Josephine was his honey. Ain't it funny how it goes? Parov has no regrets at all. Don't get me wrong.

She Ain’t Got No Money is about this gold digging lady who has no money and wants Parov. She constantly asks people for money. This sexy lady ain't got a dollar to her name.

She says she likes the way Parov talks. She really thinks he is funny. She wants him and she wants his heart. But she ain't got no money.

Parov talks to her and says, “Pretty girl, how you been? I've been diggin at you since the day I was 10. But now I'm only thinking 'bout Benjamins.” This sexy lady ain't got a dollar to her name. This sexy lady ain't bring a dollar to the game. He really wants to give her his loving and all. He’s been working for too long. Now he’s gonna marry himself the wealth by finding that richest woman. So he’s gonna take her on himself.

Ain't that the pretty doctor over there? Hanging out with the divorced lawyer who has that long blonde hair. Don't go to go score, man Just become friends and meet the wealthy women who hangs around with them. All of them are rich and are deep in wealth. Come and see for yourself.

Faith shines and prevails even in/during the darkest hour. Faith in serendipity. That is what Faith is about. You know in the darkest hour, faith shines and prevails. When the coastline lights are waving that they shine like precious threads of pearls. And your house of clay built by the river with your strong arms hosts your faith in serendipity. So keep carrying on. Only hope can be above it all.

Club Des Belugas - Zoo Zizaro album review

Club Des Belugas - Zoo Zizaro is a Latin music influenced electro swing album where jazz meets electronic music. A old fashioned pinch of ragtime can be heard on songs such as Passing on the screen and My Hunger Hurts.

Passing on the screen is a smooth laid back electro swing song with a modern jazz vibe to go along with the sound. The song is about resting after working hard. The song also encourages people to escape from the city so they can relax.

Close your eyes and I close mine. Let's lay down but not to sleep. But to rest for a while. The lights hurt my tired eyes. I've used all my energy working hard. I wanna slow down my heartbeat. Light is passing on the screen. Old cars and cool drinks by the sea. Light is passing on the screen. Warm ground under naked feet. The sound of travel lays in the air. Not heavy more like a light swinging tune.  A light swinging tune so soft that you hardly recognize. But still it cools your heavy head and lingers for a while.

I'm so dizzy from our metropolitan lives. The city lights that lay out in front of us can't satisfy our need for respite and relaxation. The colors are much brighter when they're lightened by the sun. So let's leave to a far distant land.

Clyde Beluga is an ode to the alcoholic beverage known as Clyde Beluga which is actually fortified wine known as Vermouth. Several references to high class expensive wines are made throughout the song such as  Cointreau, Amaretto, and Crème de cassis.

Club Des Belugas takes a half a shot of sweet Vermouth from Frank It's his favorite. To that a half a shot for Peter. And you know it's a Cointreau for Peter. We add another half of shot for Dean. He likes Amaretto. They gently pour the vodka in. It's one and a half shots. A small dash of Crème de cassis for Sammy. Two dashes of Bitters for Joe. A Clyde Beluga in your hand.

I'm gonna let you people know why to not use the other half of the Boston Shaker. Don't use the other half of the Boston Shaker. It ruins the flavor of wine. But do fill it up with plenty of ice and stir to make it taste nice. Don't hurry the stirring through anticipation. It must be stirred slowly over good conversation. You really can't afford to get it wrong. You can drink it in a short glass or even take it long.

When you drink a Clyde Beluga please raise a glass for Frank and always have another Clyde when the first one has been drank.

Club Des Belugas - Forward album review

Club Des Belugas - Forward is a beautiful modern electro swing album where jazz meets electronic music. A old fashioned pinch of swing jazz can be heard on songs such as Desperately Trying - Swing Mix and Glorious Beach Livin’. You also have jazzy romantic love songs such as Sweet Lovin’.

Glorious Beach Livin’ is about wanting a glorious beach living which is a relaxing life on the beach while living in paradise. Glorious Beach Livin’ is an upbeat swing jazz song which follows an uptempo pace.

Hand in hand, we walk along our sandy path to the glorious beach while humming a song in tune and harmony. Hearing the waves crash against the shore. Yes, we have come home for a glorious beach living. A glorious beach living is something that would be marvelous. That is what I've been waiting for.

I have no words to explain how much I hate that bloody rain and the nasty wind that creeps under my skin I want to live right by the sea with our children playing under old pine trees on the beach. So that is where we would be staying.

It's the same each year and the years to come despite global warming and climate change. When the sun burns the leaves, it's time to go home. The autumn is such a ruthless thief. Let's save the tears and keep the bliss. This could be home.

Sweet Lovin’ is an upbeat swing jazz song which is obviously a love song about divine love. The song tells us there are so many different ways to love.

There are so many different ways to love. As many as the stars above but you love me just the right way. I feel it in every word that you say. Baby, we've got somethin' fine. I can't believe I've found such a divine love.

Now I know you feel the same way too because no one's loving is as sweet as is loving you. Sweet love is sweet loving. There are so many different ways to love. I just need you here right by my side. Waiting with my arms open wide.

Each day is a gift. Our love so true. I'm just ashamed of my self without you. Sometimes it's hard to love some. But there are so many different ways to show love. I already found my other half and I'll never give it back. After every dark night there will be a dawn. And we'll find that we have grown in the morning light.

There are so many different ways to leave. There are so many ways to grieve Oh babe, I couldn't live without you. So let nothing come between us two.

Desperately Trying - Swing Mix is about a couple trying to move on and doing what’s best for them in their relationship.

It never feels at home when he's with her. That is what he told her when he left her. Leaving her desperately trying to understand what went wrong.

She is desperately trying to find a home for him to move to. They are desperately trying to find a place for them to stay. He said he never really got through to her and that she never opened up emotionally. This is the truth.

She lost her trust on the way. Since he's gone, she is sinking deeper into who she really is. Now she is brave enough to show what's inside but it's too late. He said he never loved her. That he always stopped for his feelings to grow. She went on hoping for things to change.

Since he is gone, she keeps on finding out all these little things about him. Realizing that he was always there with us. Looking back she has to admit that things went wrong long ago. She is desperately trying to cleanse myself of all these lies. However she is scared that she is going to love him until the day she dies.

I shouldn’t I wouldn’t (Club Des Belugas Remix) is about wanting material things you really want but don’t really need. Material things such as clothing and food.

This lady is walking down the street. She sees a great dress in the shop window. She goes into the clothing store to try on the great dress that is displayed in the shop window. The great dress that is displayed in the shop window fits like a glove. An entertaining jacket is on a hanger too.

She spots ice cream shoppe with the best source of ice. One more shouldn't matter. But which one shall she take? Strawberry colour black and just a lil bit of cream? She shouldn’t. Now this lady wants 3 glasses of wine. The 4th glass of wine smiles at her. Jeff’s car lies on the street. She sees his brand new car which brightly sparkles and gleams without any scratch.

Too Hard Too Hype - Welita’s Kitchen album review

Too Hard Too Hype - Welita’s Kitchen is one of the lesser known San Antonio rap albums which not many know about. The album has some of the hottest freestyle raps which were pure fire and some spicy Latin rap also with song such as Whatcha Gonna Do, Style N Substance, and Let It Drop. The old school hip hop sound is prevalent on this album.

The album was issued and pressed on cassette only by Solid Records in 1992. The Welita’s Kitchen album was sold locally around San Antonio, Texas. Solid Records and J I Production produced the Welita’s Kitchen album. Too Hard Too Hype was one of the first Chicano hip hop/rap groups from San Antonio and Texas. In fact, Too Hard Too Hype was one of the first Chicano hip hop/rap groups period overall. They were ferocious rhyme spitters.

Whatcha Gonna Do is one of the hottest freestyle rap songs on the Welita’s Kitchen album. Verse 1 is Kenneth, Verse 2 is Krayon, and Verse 3 is Roc. The group boasts and brags about how they are the dopest rhymers throughout the song. Too Hard Too Hype thought they were the SA version of AND 1 back in 1992. Turns out Too Hard Too Hype looked more like N-Juan instead.

Too Hard Too Hype talk about what they have that over rappers lack on the song Style N Substance. They say what other rappers lack is style and substance in their music. Style N Substance is a hardcore lyrical rap song. The song also uses a mean bassline.

Let It Drop is a percussion heavy hip hop song with dope rhymes. The percussion was programmed electronically from a drum machine. Lyrics are rapped over a looped guitar sample that can be heard repeating over the song. Mixin’ Mando is responsible for the scratches.

I Have A Solution was a song about suicide, love and pain. That is why this midtempo song has a theme love and suicide. The song itself is a midtempo slow jam. The message of this song is that love hurts. However the song is not too graphic. Local record stores and music shops had to take it off the shelves cause there were too many suicides to this song.

What I Write is dope fresh rap song. Hardcore poetry, rhymes, and rhythms are what compose the song What I Write. San Antonio classic right here!

Welita’s Kitchen is a spicy Latin rap song dedicated to both Mexican food and Spanish food. The song serves up a tasty dish of ethnic food. So have some beans and rice with a large glass of tea.

The song is memorable for having the classic spicy lyrics which go, “I love my Welita’s kitchen and the beans and rice with a large glass of tea/Tastes so good to me/With tortillas that'll make your ass fat/With tortillas that make you wanna come back”
