Ida Corr - Robosoul album review
Ida Corr - Robosoul is similar to the pop soul from Beyoncé. You have the popish Do U Believe, Lonely Girl, Hurry Up and Wait, Mr. JB, Man For Me, and Ride My Tempo. You also have jazz influenced songs such as Late Night Bimbo.
Mr. JB is a tribute to soul musician James Brown.
Ida Corr thought that James Brown was some man. Ida is feeling hot on the scene in the spot like a sex machine. Just a James Brown feeling you can believe in.
When she was a little kid dreaming about fame and fortune, the only way she thought she could succeed was by singing and dancing. Nobody I mean nobody could make Ida boogie like the king of soul.
Her hopes and dreams never fulfilled. She turned on the radio one day and a voice said, “Get up get on up”. So demanding and convincing made her feel like she only had one choice. To spend her life so good and bright no regrets. Just success. She could have been sleeping her life away.
Ride My Tempo is a dance floor mover which will positively have you dancing and moving your feet.
Can you ride on Ida’s tempo? Are you feeling this tempo? Are we making you sweat? You in the yard! Get up on the pavement. It ain't hard. We gonna ride it trough the night.
Ida is making heads turn on her own now that she is a grown woman. Nobody's gonna bring her down. Nobody else has got what Ida’s got. Nobody else gonna make it this hot. Her words and rhythm. Have you heard what Ida is giving? Are you feeling this tempo? We can ride it trough the night. Take a trip. Let your back bone flip. Life is gritty and dark in the city. From the pain let me say everyday ain't the same as yesterday.
Late Night Bimbo is a jazz influenced pop song with swing beat and an extremely loud vibrant horns section. The song is about this lady who is a late night bimbo with no strings attached.
This lady is a late night bimbo with no strings attached. A sexual lingo then men understand. Don't make her be a mamma or be a wife an honourable lady. Bimbo is what bimbo does. Let's bimbo tonight. Your lover on demand fell on their knees. But you wouldn't spend the night with a bimbo?
The lyrics tell all in a non-discreet manner.
'Cause I'm a late night bimbo with no strings attached
A sexual lingo then men understand
Don't make me be a mamma be a wife an honourable lady
Bimbo is what bimbo does let's bimbo tonight
I just wanna be your man and hold your hand

The Jackson 5 - Lookin’ Through the Windows album review
The Jackson 5 - Lookin’ Through the Windows is the most over looked Jacksons album of all time. Even more than their self-titled album and the Goin’ Places album. Their career as a family singing group was at an all time high despite this album being a low charter. The album is laced with the usual sweet love songs of course.
The Jackson 5 teach us that is nothing like legitimate love and the real thing on the song Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing. There is no thing like real love is the message of this song.
Michael got a picture of the girl he loves and admires hanging on the wall. But it can't see or come to him when he calls her name. He realize it's just a picture in a frame that is an inanimate object.
Michael reads her letters when she is not near. But they don't move and groove him. Like when he hears her sweet voice whispering in his ear.
Jermaine says no other sound is quite the same as her name. Her touch can do half this much to make me feel better. Jermaine clearly wants to be with her.
Michael has got memories to look back on. Though they help Michael when she is gone. He is well aware of this. Nothing can take the place of her being there.
Don’t Let Your Baby Catch You is a song which tells men not to be caught fooling around with other women by cheating on them. You just might lose the best thing you ever found. The song was written from a male perspective.
To all you men out there, don't let your baby catch you fooling around. You just might lose the best thing you ever found.
The nights are lonely twice as cold without a hand to hold. Happiness is fading away. Just like a thief you tried to steal a kiss from another pretty mistress. Your baby was the price that you paid. Think twice if you have cheating on your mind. Remember the punishment will fit your crime.
Your life would be as good as new if you got one more chance to do things right. Do right not wrong in full indeed. Don't let your baby catch you. If you're crazy about your baby and she's crazy about you, just think of what you'd do to her if she was untrue to you.

The Jackson 5 - Dancing Machine album review
Dancing Machine is one of the more dance music oriented Jackson 5 albums in/out of the Jackson 5 discography and catalog. The Jacksons decided to lean towards using a more dance oriented sound despite Motown not letting them write their own songs since they had a rule against stars writing their own songs. This Jacksons album has a mixture of dance songs and love ballads that move the dance floor and erupt in the bedroom. Michael and Jermaine have more of a vocal presence on this album particularly than any of their other albums.
Dancing Machine is one of their more overlooked and under appreciated albums next to Goin’ Places, Lookin’ Through the Windows, and Skywriter. When people mention the Jackson 5, they hardly ever mention this album.
Dancing Machine is about a woman who dances very good. Dancing Machine is a dance oriented pop song.
She's a dancin' machine. A self-contained woman who is full of color. She's such a sexy lady. The Jacksons are tuned and channeled to her vibes which are considerably captivating and stimulating. Filled with space-age design. She's movin', groovin’, and dancin' until the music stops now.
She's a dynamite attraction. At the drop of a coin, she comes alive. She knows what she's doin’. She's super bad now. And she's geared to really blow your mind. She's a dance machine. Watch her get down as she does her thing right on the scene.
She’s a Rhythm Child is a female child who is good on the dance floor and has excellent rhythm. She’s a Rhythm Child is another dance oriented pop song where Michael and Jermaine take control over the song with their vocals.
See her twist and turnin’. Oh how her fuse is burnin’. Dynamite in action. So much satisfaction. So exciting. She never does unwind as she keeps rockin' all the time. She's two girls in one. And she’s sure twice the fun. She's a rhythm child that will drive you wild and set your soul on fire. Just watch her dance. She'll turn you on.
Play some funky music. Then just watch her do it. Dancin' up a storm while burnin' up the floor. She stays there all the time. She's a dancer and a romancer who will drive you wild.
The Jackson 5 bring the light and life to the party with the song The Life Of The Party. All you gotta do is dance and clap your hands. You'll be the life of the party. You got the movement to your feet until some dancing heart-getter charms you. So get with it. You'll be the life of the party. You thrill me when you dance. The guys are lined up to see a sexy momma dancing. They're hoping to wind up with her now. Can't you see it?! There will be dancin' and prancin' with a little romancin’. All you gotta do is dance and clap your hands.
Whatever You Got, I Want is about how Michael will pleasure and love his girl unconditionally.
Whatever she wants, Michael will give it to her. Whatever she’s got, Michael wants. Whatever it takes, he is willing to do. That is how their relationship works. Her eyes speak. Her walk is rhythm in motion. She is too hot to handle. She is full of emotion. Michael’s pride's weak. He can tell he is standing in line again. When she passes by, guys double take. Where there's a will, there's a way. Even with the games she plays. This girl has got a one track mind.
This girl got Michael right on her fingertips. But he will gonna keep my balance so he won't slip. Her sunshine ain't gonna melt his heart. Michael willing to give her what she wants.
If I Don’t Love You This Way is one of the most beautiful yet underrated Jacksons love songs in the history of their entire catalog and discography. Only true Jackson 5 fans can appreciate or savor this love song. Michael sung his heart out with raw emotion and energy at such a young age. His falsettos were absolutely amazing and on point.
The song begins with the innocent heartfelt angelic with lyrics that go as follows.
[Chorus: Michael]
If I don't love you this way
Why do I say what I say? Yeah
If I don't need you this much, ooh
Why do I ache for your touch? Yeah
If Michael doesn't love her this way, why does he say what he says? If he doesn't need her this much, why does he ache for her touch? With her it seems that Michael can reach the stars with reckless hopes and dreams. But it seems this girl still doesn't believe how valuable she is. Michael is really loving her and not pretending to. He is really loving her.
If Michael doesn't love her this strongly, why does he beg to belong? How can she doubt that he cares when he is with her everywhere? With her he finds he can close his eyes to the world surrounding him. And she creates the sweetest place that he could ever be. Michael is really loving her and not pretending to. All she has to do is just have to smile to make Michael’s life worthwhile. Doesn't that explain that Michael is playin' no game?
It All Begins and Ends With Love explains the joys and pain of love. The joy she brings to Tito each day makes loneliness seem far away. It all begins and ends with love. Jackie feels so good each time she is near. He is touching stars he never could. It all begins and ends with love. Listen to the world begin. You and me singing right along. Reaching out and tuning in. Of all the things Marlon has ever done. Just knowin' her is number one. It all begins and ends with love.
The Mirrors of My Mind are about the memories of yesterday.
Slipping through the hourglass of time. Fitting in and traveling through the mirrors of Jermaine’s mind. Jermaine sees reflections of a sweet love left behind. Kaleidoscopes of memories turning gray. Why does he hold on to yesterday? That’s good question. Why did it turn out this way?
Slipping through the hourglass of time. Fitting in and reflecting off the mirrors of Jermaine’s mind. Why did it turn out this way? Jermaine asks his girl, “Girl, why must we love always and yesterday?”He keeps pretending with never-ending memories. He can't keep fooling myself. Slipping through the hourglass of time.
I Am Love is a love song preformed by Jermaine himself.
The eyes of love will watch the girl Jermaine loves as she go from day to day. The hands of love will catch her. When she falls along the way his arms will hold and be with her. Her whole life through. Jermaine is in love with her.
He finds himself wondering why he has been misused when love brings understanding. How can it be confused? War and poverty wasn't meant to be. Hate is driving him away. He asks her to come because this is where she belongs. His key unlocks her heart. He is her friend and lover. Her wish is his command.
You know the saying, what you don't know won't hurt you? Heave you ever heard of he saying, “what you don't know won't hurt you”? Well that is what the song What You Don’t Know is about. What you don't know won't hurt you. That's what the people try to tell you. But you can't find peace of mind in what they say.

The Jackson 5 - Skywriter album review
Skywriter is one of the more overlooked and under appreciated albums in/out of the Jackson 5 discography and catalog. Dancing Machine is one of the more overlooked and under appreciated albums next to Goin’ Places, and Lookin’ Through the Windows. When people mention the Jackson 5, they hardly ever mention this album. This was the last of the “bubblegum pop” albums for the Jackson 5.
Michael's vocal chords were changing since he was going through puberty at the time. He was struggling to sing the higher notes on many of the songs. You tell by how he avoided singing the higher notes. Some songs were transposed to a lower key to prevent his voice from cracking.
Jermaine did not have as much of a vocal presence on this album as he did with the Dancing Machine album. Jermaine served more as a background instrumentalist for this album with Marlon and Tito.
The Jacksons were getting weary and getting tired recording music for Motown. The Jacksons were getting upset with Motown not letting them write their own songs. Not only that, they were upset with the low sales of the Skywriter album.
This Jacksons album has a mixture of dance songs and love ballads that move the dance floor and erupt in the bedroom. Michael and have more of a vocal presence on this album particularly than any of their other albums.
The Boogie Man is piano driven boogie pop song about the Boogie Man who get girls for messing with men’s hearts. The piano serves as the boogie portion of the song while the beats serve as the pop portion of the song.
Michael tells the girl he loves not to break his heart in two. He tells her playing with his love and affection is not smart. He tells her, “So little girl that's why I'm tellin' you. Don't you dare break my heart in two or he's gonna get you. The Boogie Man's gonna get you if you're messin' around in the dark. Playin' with my love and affection. That ain't smart.”
Hallelujah Day was a peace song about how the US Army was sending troops home from the country of Vietnam and the end of the Vietnam War. The song served as a reference to the end of the Vietnam War.
Children gather around now. Clap your hands and sing. Sing along with the Jackson 5. That old sun is shining down. Soon the bells are gonna ring. The American soldiers drafted to Vietnam are coming home. Can't you see that ray of hope? Somebody finally saw the light. They're gonna send our brothers home. It's gonna be alright now. Sing hallelujah.
Lyrics to Verse 1 and Verse 2 are a reference to the end of the Vietnam War.
[Verse 1]
Children gather 'round now
Clap your hands and sing
That old sun is shining down
Soon the bells are gonna ring
Yes they will now
Can't you see that ray of hope
Somebody finally saw the light
They're gonna send our brothers home
It's gonna be alright, yeah
[Verse 2]
People come together
Let the good times roll
We can make this last forever
If you feel it in your soul
Somebody found the key
Somebody opened up the door
Now there'll be dancing in the street
This is the day we've been waiting for, oh
People come together to let the good times roll. We can make this last forever if you feel it in your soul. Somebody found the key and opened up the door. Now there'll be dancing in the street. This is the day we've been waiting for. People come together. Let the good times roll. We can make this last forever.
You Made Me What I Am is a song where the members of Jackson 5 show appreciation and give credit to their fans for making them what they are today. The song is a “thank you” to all Jackson 5 fans across the world.
The fans stuck with all the members of Jackson 5 through thick and thin. They helped push Michael and Jermaine right up to the top of the Billboard Charts in several countries. The fans made Jackson 5 what they are today. Fame and fortune haven’t changed their names. Success is costly no doubt. A friend in need is a friend indeed. They know who their friends and fans are.

Willie Nelson - Night and Day album review
Willie Nelson - Night and Day is Willie Nelson's first ever instrumental album! Willie Nelson proves to be a daunting force to be reckoned with. This Willie Nelson album is similar to a soundtrack for a film. Sounds of and on this album can be and is described as distinctive, soundtrack, and different. The instrumentation is hardly simplistic. Just listen to Vous et Moi and Nuages. Willie's guitar performances are as distinctive as his singing because Willie himself is the centerpiece of it all. The remarkable similarities are the tone and texture. He sets standards on Honeysuckle Rose.

Adam Sandler - What The Hell Happened To Me? album review
Adam Sandler - What The Hell Happened To Me? is one of the more overlooked comedy albums in the history of music. Adam Sandler was overlooked as a solo comedic act. He should have put out more comedy spoken word albums on WB as Eddie Murphy did. But not everyone is meant to sell records as Adam Sandler turned to his acting career by acting in various films for an occupation which obviously worked out for him because now he is a millionaire. He's fucking rich!
Ode To My Car is an ode to Adam's piece of shit car. The shock absorbers are fucking shot. Also the seatbelt is broken somehow. The interior smells real bad of course. This car never gets him far in terms of mileage so his destination is so short. He makes many short trips not too far. Dip Doodle is hodgepodge of comedy craziness with sound effects and wordplay. Adam lets his zaniness get the best of him during this song. It's film flam fun and sounds right here.

Cybotron - Clear single review
The well-known underrated classic single Clear by Cybotron is electro techno. Not hip-hop as some uneducated fans refer it to as such. This record was released as a vinyl single on Fantasy Records from Berkeley, California in 1983. Cybotron was a techno group from Detroit, Michigan. Juan Atkins was one of the members of the duo.
This record, Clear, was very underrated in the mainstream pop market despite having bee favored by many of the techno underground music scene. Clear did very well in the Detroit techno scene. But to me, the single was overlooked by mainstream fans and did not make an impact classic as Rappers Delight by The Sugarhill Gang did. Which it should have and it did in a very major but sort of small way! Clear had the phat electro sound which was simply brilliant! Clear should have charted onto the Top Billboard Charts at #85. #85 on the Top #100 Billboard Charts that is. And it should been added to a soundtrack for a major movie film or an underground indie film.
Industrial Lies was the electro industrial track on the B side. Industrial Lies should have charted onto the Top Billboard Charts at #85. #85 on the Top #100 Billboard Charts that is. And it should been added to a soundtrack for a major movie film or an underground indie film.
In the early 80s, Cybotron master planned the blueprints for Detroit techno. Some undereducated fans do refer to Clear - Cybotron as the earliest release in Detroit hip hop and rap. The members of Cybotron themselves even said, "This is electro! Not hip-hop!". Cybotron was obviously not rap either. Some even refer to Cybotron as a one hit wonder. Clear was a one hit wonder to be exact which Clear evidently was.

King 13 - Midnight Drama album review
Midnight Drama is one of the unreleased albums from rapper King 13 that was supposed to be released on Commerce Street Records around November 1998. However that did not happen because King 13 did not have enough material recorded for a full album. The songs he recorded weren’t full songs. The way he recorded songs would be him rapping freestyles without writing verses down on notebook paper. That is why Midnight Drama was turned into a compilation instead and was released in March 1999.
Now the title of this compilation was inspired by a King 13 song of the same name. That King 13 song would be included on this compilation. That is where the title for this album came from. Midnight Drama was first advertised on the 1999 album Mr. Joshay - 21 Crunk Street.
Midnight Drama was produced by Ricé with leftover material such as beats, bass patterns, and piano compositions. This entire album was produced by Ricé himself without no other producers. Sean Tompkins served as the executive producer for the whole album and pulled songs that others performed and featured on from other albums.
The song and title track Midnight Drama is about all the drama that goes on during midnight. A lot of crime happens at midnight. King 13 tells us listeners, “When darkness falls, you better be prepared to fall. You better not get caught up in midnight drama.” Those are his cautionary words which tell us to stay away from the drama that happens during midnight.
Midnight Drama is a song King 13 recorded and freestyle on which uses a combination of freestyle rap and gangsta rap. That makes sense because King 13 was known for his freestyle raps. Midnight Drama is an intense piano laced rap song performed by King 13 himself. He wrote the lyrics to this song himself. Not many know this but King 13 was the freestyle of San Antonio pre-2002.
Now Midnight Drama is what led the Midnight Drama compilation to be recorded by a King 13 song of the same name called Midnight Drama which was used on the 1997 compilation Runnin Blind. That King 13 song would also be included on this compilation. That is where the title for this song and album came from. Midnight Drama is what inspired many San Antonio rappers to freestyle.
Ricé produced the song and played the piano. Notice during the beginning that a nice mellow piano solo is playing. The piano solo lasts for 12 seconds until 0:12. Quadruple layers of instrumentation start to kick in at the 0:13 mark.
When drama starts at midnight, you better be prepared for things to unfold and expect the unexpected. Be prepared to ride. The drama starts at midnight.
Several niggaz are the cold shooting dice. 2 of these niggaz took the life of one of their homeboys by killing him. They blamed that wickedness on liquor. Gun shots rang out from the parking lot. 4 niggaz got ganked. There were 49 bullet holes. There were 6 bullet holes found on the spine of a man. His relatives got the call that he would no longer be coming home.
Drug slanging and pimping is what goes at midnight. One man thought he could find narcotics but he ended up dead in a closed casket. One of these niggaz was fucking his wife. His friends go out to settle the score and end up getting killed. Fuck them all.
When darkness falls, you better be prepared to fall. Better be prepared to crawl. You better not get caught up in midnight drama. When darkness falls, you better be prepared to roll.
This King 13 song would be included on the 1999 compilation album called Midnight Drama. Now the Midnight Drama compilation was inspired by this King 13 song which is where the title for the Midnight Drama album came from. The Midnight Drama compilation was first advertised on the 1999 album Mr. Joshay - 21 Crunk St and was released in March 1999. The Midnight Drama compilation was sold at Commerce Street Records when it was located on East Commerce Street and when Commerce Street Records had their store in Windsor Park Mall.
Thru Da Mist deals with how people can be unsympathetic to another person’s pain, sorrow. and agony. This is one of King 13’s songs produced by Ricé which is all too real for the mainstream crowd to handle. Ricé did a spectacular job on making the synths, bass, and beats have that dark eerie sound.
Nobody can see through the mist of pain, sorrow, and agony of another person. Just keep your faith and pray for strength. You’ll maintain. No one can see through the mist of the darkness.
King 13’s Naked Soul takes us through the views of a gangsta. King 13 laces the mic with such fiery and aggression in his lyrics. This is not surprising since this is gangsta rap. Every song King 13 raps on is fire! That is a fact. His presence is huge for this song.
Naked Soul is a fierce piano laced rap song. The piano is what keeps the mood mellow sort of in a strange way. The feeling is both mellow and intense. Notice the piano solo played by 17 Freeze at the beginning of Naked Soul. Ricé gives the song a sense of mellowness and tranquility with him playing the piano.
The song takes us through the views of a gangsta. King 13 laces the mic with such fiery and aggression in his lyrics. This is not surprising since this is gangsta rap. Every song King 13 raps on is fire! That is a fact. His presence is huge for this song.
