Lyre Le Temps - Clock Master album review
Lyre Le Temps -
Clock Master is an uptempo upbeat French electro swing album with
English lyrics. The album has disturbing songs such as Brokopoly, Sad
Swing, and Everything Moves. Many of the songs such as Everything Moves
and Time Train are time themed songs which revolve around the concept of
time.
Brokopoly is like monopoly but with poverty. You own nothing of monetary value. You know you’re out of money.
Everybody
on their way to work and you stay. New generation. You’re a hobo in a
house. There is nothing left here. You’ll be waiting for the next song
to pay the bills and make someone answer one of your calls. You pay the
price yet you are still breathing. You know you’re out of money. It's so
dangerous but it's funny to swim with the crocodiles. Take your broke
ass home.
Everything you had is not yours anymore. Even clothing.
You played and followed society’s rules. You knew there were risks.
Start from the bottom for one mistake. You can sink. It's a chance to
take. Dark moments precede light and bright. Mornings for more seasons.
You say you’re strong enough not to play games. Yet you are addicted.
You need to win games. Drop the gold-digger's ego.
Everything Moves explains how everything moves by the grace of God. Time marches forward.
Everything
moves by the grace of God. Everything's moving so fast. The best years
are in the past. Now every morning is black. A rainy day is enough to
make you stay on the couch with the world in the window.
I don't
remember when it started. You don't remember when it started. I never
really saw where the gap was. Neither did you. Maybe this is
generational conflict evolution. That makes anyone panic. Sometimes
you're sure and sometimes no but we know you know where we go. Mother
fuckers can't stop.
Now Or Never is one of those songs that tells you not to be fooled and be ready for today.
For
today or for never. Don't look back. Don’t be fooled. Don't you follow
any rules? Don't be shy don’t be scared. Are you ready for today?
Think
of all the time you spent just dreaming of today. Every night that you
went and now you're wide awake. Trust me. You'll get away from that day
to day. If you wanna do what makes you fly away. The hard way or the
best way. Not any other day everything starts today.
It's alright
with the time you've lost here. You'll find something that you love so.
No matter how big the dream is you can grab it. If you really want
something hard you can have it.

Lyre Le Temps - Outside The Box album review
Lyre
Le Temps - Outside The Box uses offbeat and unusual production and
sounds for an electro swing album. Yet the album remains jazzy and
snazzy.
Here are the origins of the Swing Machine. The Swing
Machine was a sunny little funny little melody that was started by a
button on a MPC.
AD's rocking in the club now with LLT. Let me
see everyone dance. Exciting like steppin' on stage bright lights. It's
fight night. I’m quite hype. Nothing but a swing machine, are we? Let me
hear you scream. It's easy. Believe me a little AD and LLT is what you
need.
Bling-blingin backstage. It’s the swing machine. Hypnotic
robotic singin' bringin' in the swing in. Chuck Berry's ding-a-ling and
everybody doing their thing. Nothing but a swing machine. Competitors
are better off not trying to drop a record right after Lyre Le Temps
sets it off. You're soft and you don't stand a chance against the swing
machine. Let me see everyone dance.
Souvenirs is about moments that lovers spent together. A picture of a lover is like a souvenir.
You
sit down looking at your picture of you and your lover. Feels like that
person you loved is far away from you. You won't forget their souvenir.
That picture perfect memory.
Sometimes it happens like that
when you lose a friend. Someone that's really close. And I can tell you
how much they were close. All the moments that they spent together were
priceless. Something you've never ever seen before. Those moments bring a
smile. Sometimes it’s really like that. But sometimes a conflict arises
between you and your lover. Sometimes when you it finish like that you
lose a friend. You can always remember because it's in you. Even if you
lose a part of your soul.

Matt Dusk - Back in Town album review
Matt
Dusk - Back in Town was the comeback album for Matt Dusk back in 2006.
This album marked his comeback in to the music scene and all that jazz.
Songs such as Back In Town, Get Me To The Church On Time, More, and The
Best Is Yet To Come bring a ray of brightness to the album.
Back In Town is about Matt Dusk coming back into town to see his lady.
It
seems just like yesterday when Matt Dusk and his lady were standing
here. A Yankees hat up on his head and her voice in his ear. He talked
about the future and all the things they’d do. He never thought her
lovin' words would frighten him from her.
Matt remembers when he
sold his car to board that train. She said she was sure that he would
not come back again. And now she sees with her own eyes and starts to
realize Matt was not the man he thought he was. So she needs to try to
sympathize.
The way she thinks about her life is gonna change
tonight. Matt tells his lady, “The way you think about your life is
gonna change tonight. Don't even try out that frown because your man is
back in town.”
He is sure she has been thinking about just where
the hell he has been. There were times he will admit his heart saw
better days. But Matt is the type that has to lose to find he had it
made. No use talkin' too much about things we cannot change. I know you
think it's crazy but Matt is here to set things straight. Matt is
standing here to say that he’ll give love a try. It's his complicated
way to say he’ll simplify.
Matt tells his lady, “Baby, it's cool
to take your time. I was a fool out of my mind. So let's jump off of
this merry-go-round because your man is back in town.” He was drawn away
but now he is back to stay. He was wrong to think there was a better
way. Matt asks his lady for forgiveness and tells her he will never
leave her side.
Matt gives us the best of him on The Best Is Yet To Come. This is because the best is and has yet to come.
Matt
picked himself a plum out of the tree of life. Then this lady came
along and everything started to hum. Still it's a real good bet. The
best is yet to come. You think you've seen the sun but you ain't seen it
shine. Wait until their lips have met. Wait until the warm-up's
underway. Wait until you see that sunshine day. You ain't seen nothin'
yet. The best is yet to come.
They’ve only tasted the wine. You
can bet they’re gonna drain that cup of wine dry. Wait until she is
locked in Matt’s embrace which will draw her near. Wait till you see
that sunshine place. There ain't nothin' like that sunshine place. There
ain't nothin' like it here.
All About Me is about how Matt got himself into trouble. This song reintroduced us to Matt Dusk.
What
a fine mess Matt has gotten himself into this time. Who'd of thought a
guy like Matt would crumble? I’m sure that not a soul would ever guess
that Matt is finding it hard to even stumble.
He used to think
that he was strong. He used to think the world revolved around me. He
never thought that he was wrong. Narcissistic and self-absorbed is what
he was. And this big foot doll almost drowned him.
But Matt is
breaking out of his routine. And it’s about time that he comes clean.
And it's all good and it's all new. Let Matt re-introduce himself to
you. There's no way that he can't win. And a good man he will be. Once
he learns it's not all about him. There was a day when the walls were
covered with his face. Walking through you'd think it was his mothers.
There was not a single hair out of place. One eyebrow just a little bit
higher than the other. He used to think he was cool He used to think the
world was for the taking. Going to a brand new school. Look at all the
friends he is making.
Matt explains to his lady that his love
he gives to her is more than simple words he tries to say. That is what
the song “More” is about.
This love Matt gives to his lady alone
is more than the simple words he tries to say. He only lives to love
her more each day. More than she’ll ever know.
His arms long to
hold her so. His life will be in her keeping whether she is waiting,
sleeping, laughing, or weeping. Longer than always is a long time but
far beyond forever. His heart is very sure no one else could love her
more. More than she’ll ever know. This love Matt gives to his lady alone
is worth more than the simple words he tries to say. This is the love
Matt gives to his lady.
Who’s Got The Action is about Matt
taking a chance to make a lady named Alice all his so she can be his
lady and lover. Love can be like heaven and love can be a joke. But it's
worth a gamble.
Alice is like a racehorse. Matt plays her to
win. But if in any event he should lose her, another racehorse may come
in. Love can be like heaven and love can be a joke. But it's worth a
gamble. So Matt goes for broke. Matt is taking a gamble on make a lady
named Alice all his so she can be his lady and lover.
Who's got
the action? Who'll take a chance on love? Who's got a kiss for Matt?
Give Matt 1 and you'll get back 3. Just lay it on the line. I'll bet you
10 to 1 Alice will be Matt’s.
Now once he had a Philly, but he
ain't seen her since. Some can't go the distance because they're only
good in sprints. Sweethearts stay together when it's fair and warm. But
come stormy weather, they don't run to form. They put on a long shot.
Matt plays either way. All Matt needs is a winner and this could be the
day for him. When he wins his parlay, he’ll be set for life. He’ll take
all that money and go find himself a wife.
Get Me To The
Church On Time is about Matt getting married in church. He plans to get
to the church on time. A few more hours is all the time Matt has got
before he ties the knot and gets married. There'll be drinks and girls
all over the town. Matt is gettin' married in the morning. The bells are
gonna chime. He plans to get to the church on time spruced up and
lookin' in his prime. Girls come and kiss him.

Matt Dusk - Two Shots album review
Matt
Dusk - Two Shots is one of the lesser known jazz pop albums of the
2000s. Many people have slept on this album. This is one of his darker
albums with a realistic vibe.
Every Mother’s Son is about
how once the web is spun for every mother's son that life goes on like a
never-ending tale. A day will come for every mother's son.
They
say life goes on like a carousel. Life goes on like a never-ending tale
of love reborn from the cradle warm. A web is spun for every mother's
son. Once the web is spun for every mother's son, life goes on like a
spinning wheel. Never standing still.
The gods decide how blessed
you are. The days to come for every mother's son and these footprints
in the sand may be nothing grand. But if we leave a mark in somebody's
heart, what more can I say? A day will come for every mother's son. A
thorn a winter rose, some highs and then some lows. That's the way it's
spun for every mother's son.
Precious Years is about those young youthful years of love.
When
love is young, the tallest tree is there to climb is evergreen. In
summer fields we dream our dreams when love is young. When love is
young, the air is sweet. Forbidden fruit is all we eat.
An August
moon is your conceit. These are precious years when love is young. Such
intoxicating years when our innocence slowly comes undone. Hearts are
spilt on purest silk when love is young. We conquer all like warriors
when love is young. These precious years never will grow old. They are
forever gold.
Lonely Road is about the lonely road Matt faces as his lover is not in his life.
He
sits and stares at an empty chair. Another day without her has gone by.
Each one for him can only be another day without her. The tick and tock
of every clock seems so long. No good and bad when all you have is
gone.
He puts the street beneath his feet, so not to think about
her. But every sound and every sight unlocks a picture of her. With each
memory comes a rush of joy and pain. If only he could hold her once
again. This is the lonely road Matt faces and travels down figuratively.
This is the lonely road. No signs to lead you home. There's no
lights to tell you not go. And nowhere is the only place that it goes.
The only place that everybody knows. The Lonely Road.
They did it
all together. It never once crossed his mind it wouldn't last forever.
One mistake is all it takes and the you turn around to realize you're on
your own again.

Lil Romeo - Romeoland album review
Lil
Romeo - Romeoland was one of those kid friendly pop albums which has
that 2000s sound. Everything about the album screams 2000s. You can hear
the influence Southern rap, pop rap, and children’s music has on this
album. Many of his songs have catchy simplistic lyrics, over the top
chanting, uptempo drum patterns, and obnoxiously loud synths. All while
keeping it kid friendly for children and family. Love ballads such as My
Cinderella, My Girlfriend, Missin’ You, and The One are on his 2004
album.
His album was released when Southern rap was being a
mainstay and was already mainstream. Rap was starting to become generic
sounding at this point which is why Romeo received some flack and hate
from rap fans, stans, and hip hop heads.
Myke Diesel produced a
bulk of the album while Nick Cannon produced songs such as My Cinderella
and The One. Myke Diesel produced those fire beats for the entire
album. Of course Myke Diesel has produced many songs for Lil Romeo
throughout the 2000s. That is why you can hear his sound and work all
over the album. His production never fails to disappoint.
Now
look at the lettering and design of the album. Romeo was inspired by
Disneyland when he came up with the design and concept for his album
cover. He used the bright iconic white Disney™ font for the lettering.
Instead of “DISNEYLAND”, you have “ROMEOLAND”. Romeoland is a theme park
which bears and resembles similarities to Disneyland. Notice the red
ferris wheels in the background. Romeo decided to use the theme park
design for his album since kids love theme parks.
Bobblehead
was the catchy lead single for his 2004 album Romeoland. Everything
about this song from the beats to the synths, horns, and pads along with
lyrics screams mid-2000s. You can hear the influence Southern rap, pop
rap, and children’s music have on this song. His cousin Lil D raps a
verse on the song.
The song is memorable for its catchy lyrics
and horns. The chorus is no exception. The catchy lyrics to the chorus
which went like this.
[Chorus]
I didn't come to run, I came to make you move
Take it to the floor, and act a fool
Shake it, shake it, shake it like a bobblehead
Shake it, shake it, shake it like a bobblehead
Now
Lil Romeo does use some kid friendly lyrics in the song such as “You
got ants in your pants and you need to dance Bounce up and down like a
rubberband”
Here are some of the catchy lyrics that were used in the song.
Work ya body, move your feet
Bounce it like a ball, shake it to the beat
Go shorty, it's your birthday
Like you school bell ring on the first day
Move it like a fly girl
You got ants in your pants and you need to dance
Bounce up and down like a rubberband
Lil
Romeo didn't come to run. He came to make you move. So take it to the
floor and act a fool. Shake it, shake it, shake it like a bobblehead.
Romeo’s
in the house and the party is pumpin’. The crowd is jumpin’. Everyone
is ecstatic. Work your body and move your feet. Bounce it like a ball
and shake it to the beat. Go shorty, it's your birthday. Like you school
bell ring on the first day. Move it like a fly girl.
Lil D is in
here. You know that his wrist glow. If you came to party, shorty, you
and Lil D can take it to the floor. If your girl wants to leave, Lil D
suggests you let her go. So you better stay in line.
Making
moves like a rollercoaster. Lean low then shake them shoulders. But
first, you gotta bounce to this. Lil D’s chain so icy even his diamonds
got diamonds. Lil D was born to be a soldier and has got a heart of a
lion. No Limit don't mess with no fakers. They’ll make you lose your
squad like the LA Lakers.
Lil Romeo is just chillin and them
girls are partying. He is trying to see if they can move like Indians.
You know work it a little bit. Dip it low a little bit like Christina
Milian. Lil Romeo is like 50 and Young Buck because he always roll with
banks. So you know what’s up.
If you don't like Lil Romeo, then
you not with him. But its most likely that he’s got the tank with him
all over the globe, He is a coast to coast G. A living legend like Mike
and Kobe. If you don't know then don't speak about him. His flow too
sick and too hard to fix. You’ll probably need some medical attention
for this.
Lil Romeo pays homage and tribute to The Notorious
B.I.G. with these lyrics in Verse 1. “Girl you looking cute, you came to
dance/I’m like Biggie, baby give me one more chance”
Everything
about Whoodihoop screams 2000s. Especially 2004. This is because
Whoodihoop has those catchy simplistic lyrics, over the top chanting,
whistles, medium bass, uptempo drum patterns, and obnoxiously loud
synths.
Here is one example of how catchy this song really is.
Whoodihoop, whoodihoop
Whoodihoop, whoodihoop
Whoodihoop, whoodihoop
Where them boys at
Where them girls at
Where them boys at
Where them girls at
Lean back, lean back
Lean back, lean back
Where them lil soldiers at? (lean back)
Where them lil soldiers at? (lean back)
Lil
Romeo manages took his tough son of a hustler persona without being too
explicit on the song Stomped Out. Myke Diesel produced those fire
beats. Many of his songs have catchy lyrics over uptempo drum patterns
and obnoxiously loud synths. This song is no exception.
Stomped
Out has several references to basketball plays such as Vince Carter and
Jason Kidd since basketball is Romeo’s favorite sport. That is why the
song revolves around the theme of basketball. Hence the sports
references.
If you ain't with Lil Romeo’s team, you can get
stomped out. When he gets crunk, go and get stomped out. If you’re hatin
on Lil Romeo’s team, you can get stomped out.
Kinda like Pierce
in Boston, the truth is back. Now the Diesel on his team and his name
ain't Shaq. Lil Romeo’s team is stacked because he only rolls with the
best. Best believe that he’s got back-up. He’s leading the pack like his
name was Garnett.
But that don't stop him from jumping up when
Kobe Bryant jams a 36 and dunks. He makes it happen like Jason Kidd
whenever he dunks the ball. Lil Romeo is half amazing like Vince
Carter, dawg.
Lil Romeo is going straight to the pros. Then he’s
going to college. Now he ain't Lebron James but he is the youngest in
the game. And he put it through the net like he was from New Jersey
wearing a throwback jersey. He likes basketball games with a real good
pace. Thats why he is watching Indiana take on Yao Ming. He is #1 like
Tracy McGrady with a deadly jumpshot. What can I tell you? Lil Romeo was
born to ball. His game’s so sick. His jumpoffs are so tricky.
My
Cinderella was the lead single from Lil Romeo’s 2004 album which
featured guest vocals and production work from Nick Cannon. The chorus
heavily relies on sampling Shai - If I Ever Fall in Love. The chorus
retains the original lyrics from that Shai song.
Lil Romeo is
looking for a Juliet who will console him whenever he is troubled or
something is bothering him. A little tight shawty who knows how to hold
him tight. A little attitude but not controlling. A shawty with them
pink Nike's and them passion jeans. He needs a girl sweet as a dove.
Romeo sees and realizes he needs loving. He is looking for a Cinderella.
