Parov Stelar - Coco album review

Coco is one of the more darker albums from Parov Stelar. This album must have written when he was feeling down and depressed. Songs such as Hurt, Promises, Distance, and Coco prove how sad and depressing the album is. Yet there are bright cheerful cuts on the album such as Dandy, Let’s Roll, and Wake Up Sister. Overall this Parov Stelar album is a balance of sad depressing songs and bright cheerful cuts.


Promises discusses the broken promises between Lilith and her man.

When Lilith and her man parted in silence and tears, half broken-hearted to sever for years, the dew of the morning sank on her eyebrow. It felt like the warning of what she feels now.

There have been promises that have been broken between them. Fame is her man’s life and life is his fame. That is what the lyrics imply about his fame and him being famous: “Promises broken/And life is your fame/I hear your name spoken/And share in its shame” She hears his name spoken and share in its shame. Tell her now what she is. What she does without her man. Is it true? Could it be that desperation sleeps beside her?


Hurt is one of the many sad depressing songs on the album about how love kills. This girl wants to be hurt and lied to instead of loved properly.

Unhuman is a breathtaking angelic calming acoustic guitar driven pop song. It’s nice to hear a pop song that is driven/backed by an acoustic guitar once in a while. This song is what changes up things for the album such as the pace and vibration.

Songs on this album old school jazz rhythms with the time signatures and drum patterns along with the instrumentation.

Yuksek - Living on the Edge of Time is one of the louder and livelier electronic pop albums of 2011. The album has a mixture party music and love songs in a somewhat balanced manner.

You should talk is about how people should communicate and not argue when life is too hard and something is troubling. You should talk when life's too hard. At least you should try to talk when life's too hard. Don’t argue. Communicate.

To See You Smile is sweet innocent song electronic pop song about getting the person you love to smile. Like the first in the light of the sun you're smiling at the clouds. Waking up for ourselves and giving us a chance to remind everyone of the water in your eyes. Yuksek tries hard anytime and his best to see you smile.

White Keys is a song for the restless music junkies looking for an escape from daily life to seeking to go to a place of solitude and isolation. Restless music junkies need  some place to hide deep in their minds and souls. Any place they try any place they go. They always try to hold white keys or black keys. It's not so funky. They are restless. Just music junkies. This is not the song that they sing out now.


Say A Word is about the story of a woman Yuksek falls in love only to realize she was playing a game with him.

Yuksek falls in love with a woman. However he does not realize at first she was playing games with him. When her father heard the bells of young curves, her mother said they must leave the place. Only then does Yuksek realize the game she was playing. He couldn't even say a word afterwards. That is the consequences of her secret love.

These lyrics reveal her father got violent after they heard about Yukse’s love affair with his daughter. “When her heard the bells of young curves/Mama said we leave the place”

98° Degrees brought the heat with their album 98º and Rising back in 1998. A time when boy bands were still relevant. The album is filled with love songs and breakup ballads.

Still explains and explore how true love never dies and lasts a lifetime.  You can see forever in the eyes of the person you love. If that person is the right one for you and you don't want to let go. The tides won't change even if seasons rearrange. When the world is through, you will still love that person. True love never dies. If anything could last forever, it’s what you feel for that person.

Songs such as The Hardest Thing explains why breaking up with the person you love or loved is the hardest thing to do in the world. This is because you’ve developed an emotional attachment to that person. Breaking up with someone is the hardest thing you’ll ever have to do. Fate has a place and time. So you can get on with your life. And you’ll never know.

Take 5’s Against All Odds album was an album that got absorbed into and overlooked by the boy band at the beginning of the millennium in 2000. The rise and slew of boy band albums led this Take 5 album to become overlooked. Everything from love ballads to party songs are what’s on the album.


Water is a Clay and Tilky duo cut. Of course the song is a love song.

Selfie Face is about couple wanting to converse with each other online night and day. The gentleman is hooked on internet beauties instead of paying attention to his lady. Selfie Face is a song relevant to todays’s audiences.

If you like Electric Swing Circus, Swingrowers, Swing Republic, Caro Emerald, and Atom Smith, then this album is suited for you. The album has a retro lounge vibe.  Tape Five always comes in swinging with these beautiful jazz masterpieces.


Mr. White Suit! is about the biography of a man who was a player who was born again in the year of 1924.

Mr. White Suit was born again in 1924. A calypso band was playin' on the shore behind the bars in the streets of this famous town where he died that year.

There were Desperados, dancin' bonitas, and sweet senoritas drinkin' mochitos. One day he wants leave to go to Portofino, Italy.  But until that beautiful day he’ll do the cha-cha-cha, here at Rico's Bar. And even merengue down at Tony’s Cafe. He watches the sweet petitas, and the squeaky senoritas. One thing that is noticeable about him is he wears that white suit. He never felt that good.

Tape Five - Bossa for a Coup album review

Tape Five - Bossa for a Coup is one laid back lounge jazz album which contains laid back lounge vibes perfect for relaxation. If you like Caro Emerald and Atom Smith, then this album is suited for you. Overall the album has a retro lounge vibe.

One thing that is different about this particular Tape Five album is the romantic French touch as many of the songs on the album have that romantic French touch such as Femme Libertan and La Passifleur. Tape Five always comes in swinging with these beautiful jazz and electro swing masterpieces. This is something entirely different but not too surprising.

Bom Bahia is the good bay where the Gujarati language is mainly spoken. The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble – From the Stairwell is another stellar album from The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble. This album is one of their darker album. This is a dark jazz album filled with dark ambient sounds. Each song is filled with atmospheric music and is kind of similar to cinematic orchestra. Fans of cinematic dark jazz and dark ambient music will enjoy this album.

All Is One is about how roads never end. You are showered in loneliness. You’re by yourself. Think about being lost in an endless void. The song All Is One is one of the darker songs on the album.

Giallo is similar to the chamber music of the 18th century, 19th century, and 20the century. You can hear the echoing chambers even with the silence in the background. The sound reverberates in both speaker channels. You can tell this by listening to the instrumentation.

White Eyes a beautiful and masterful viola section behind a set of violins which help set the mood for not only this song but the whole album.

Cortard Delusion has a dark mysterious feeling and instrumentation which helps set the foreboding mood. The steamy atmosphere gives into the mysterious foreboding feeling and vibes this song has. A bassoon and a set of viola are used.

Dying Embers is about being lost in an endless void while searching for someone. You are showered in loneliness. Your sorrow is merciless. Glowing small hours fade into black with you in echoing chambers where silence has taken. You are lost endlessly in a void searching for someone. Fallen is the promise of ever embracing that person. These are dying embers.

Seneca is about sending messages not to use words. Sending messages only you yourself can understand. If the sides could be reversed. From the signs would be created new realities. Logic letters could kill your sensibilities. Hiding messages not to be exposed.
