Tape Five - The Roaring 2020s album review

Tape Five - The Roaring 2020s visits the spirit of the Roaring 20s (1920s) with a contemporary touch of modern electronic production. Tape Five manages to keeps things vintage by using ragtime jazz and swing music which has a retro vibe. The album incorporates the ragtime jazz of the 1920s and the electro swing of the 2020s. Ragtime jazz meets electronic music on this album.

Party Like Its 1929 visits the spirit of the Roaring 1920s with a contemporary touch of modern electronic production and electro swing from the 2020s. The song incorporates the ragtime jazz of the 1920s and the electro swing of the 2020s.

Boheme Supreme is about this gentle gentleman who is always dressed to kill and is a movie star. The most talked-about man, Boheme supreme, is everybody's dream. Boheme Supreme uses modern electronic production and sound which consists of pads, synth textures, and electro chords. Kind of like future jazz.

Every decadence and every desire. The devil's orchestra with an angel's choir. On the gravy train he was the king. Every shoeshine boy in stardom wants to sing.

Who is the dandy? Who is that man? Whose got tomorrow in the palm of his hands? Who cools the moonlight? Who lights the sun? Who makes it happen? The answer to all these questions is Boheme supreme. He is number one! And just in, The most talked-about man, Boheme supreme, is officially everybody's dream.

He's got money, honey, and has got flairThe dames and parties are all legendaire. The steps to paradise even though the air is thin. He won't slide back. He can only win. His life's a rollercoaster in an amusement park. He swims with mermaids and sharks.

Saturday Night Down on the Corner explains what a snazzy Saturday night down on the corner is like.

Jones’ brother Clyde is back. He shows up in his Cadillac with Geraldine and Susie too. Why not? Beat’s got a new tattoo. The sidewalk is hot with the smell of tar. They hoot the breeze and are rollin’ dice. A little sleaze is always nice. It’s who they are. It’s who they’ll be. The street is a kingdom, a cage and a freedom, an island in the sea!

Saturday night down on the corner. This is gonna be the night. A new romance and a bloody fight happen Saturday night down on the corner. People comе and people go Saturday night down on the corner. Thosе who stay will always know. The summer’s heat is hitting highs. Tony’s dead. Lee is full of flies. Joe’s a loser. Bip’s a bruiser. But they can’t find no alibis.

The Diary of Don Geroonibop explains the story of Don Geroonibop. This is the diary of Don Geroonibop.

Don Geroonibop had to plan the week ahead on Monday. On Tuesday he had the flu and stayed in bed. He got a suit from Savaro on a Wednesday. His dealer helped to get the glow on Thursday. He thought he was a ladies’ man by Friday. Two weeks on that Saturday, his girl was out of town. All the hot dates wouldn’t stop on Sunday.

The devil said to Don Geroonibop,  “Make the most of everything you got.” He just smiled and spread his wings. He said, “Come on, Don, you gotta do the right thing.”

Wouldn’t it be funny if you met your honey on a blind date? Wouldn’t it be crazy if you met your lady on a blind date? Wouldn’t it be stupid if you met your cupid on a blind date? Be careful what you’re wishing when you go fishing. You could make a big mistake!

This girl called Ruby was a fake. This was on a Monday.  He got the crumbs but not the cake on Tuesday. Wednesday was hot but then she turned to cold. She was a trap but good as gold on Thursday. She was almost payday on Friday. She was worse than doomsday on Saturday. Sunday was one last chance to hit it off with some shady romance!

The devil said to Don Geroonibop, “Never give in and never give up.” The angel smiled with winter eyes. The angel said, “Boy, you in for a big surprise!" It was really funny when he met his honey on a blind date. It was really crazy when he met his lady on a blind date. It was really stupid when he met his cupid on a blind date.

Zambian Acapella - from Africa with love album review

Zambian Acapella - from Africa with love is a beautiful African Acapella album with lovely harmonies and melodies from the country of Zambia. The album has divine songs. For example, Standing Upon The Mountain is about divine judgement day and Soon And Very Soon is about seeing the King.

Jesus Loves Me uses a mixture of both the English language and some Zambian language. Of course being Zambian Acappella, this song is a religious song. Jesus Loves Me can be described as a divine harmonious song.

Hallujeh Amen is a religious Zambian song worshiping religious praise in the name of the Lord. Zambian Acappella rejoices to sing a harmonious song in divine such as this one called Hallujeh Amen. Hallujeh Amen can be described as a divine harmonious song.

Standing Upon The Mountain is about divine judgement day. Standing on the mountain. I didn't come here for a stay. If I'll never more see you again. I’m gonna meet you on the Judgement Day. Mr. Scruff - Keep It Unreal album review

Mr. Scruff - Keep It Unreal is a mixture of electro swing, spoken word, folk music, and soul. The album has sea shanties such as Shanty Town and Fish. Those sea shanties give the album a folk music vibe as well as a bit of spoken word.

Shanty Town one of the 2 sea shanties that are on this album. The song has a drum kit used over the spoken word portion. The English accents make the song sound very settling.

The whale song can be heard all around. But where's it coming from? I see you've come aboard then!

A fisherman who’s a captain of a ship welcomes Mr. Scruff for coming aboard on his ship to go fishing. The captain says to Mr. Scruff, “Oh well my lad, you've come aboard then! You look as if you wanted a breath of sea air!” Mr. Scruff tells the captain, “I want a fish.” The captain tells him, “Well, you've got a lovely day for it!”

One of the captain’s crew members notifies the captain of a humpback whale that was spotted 300 metres (300 meters) from the port bow. He can just see the whale coming out of the mist. They heard a gurgling sound and the head of the whale rose above the surface of the water. “There's a whale. There's a whale fish.” The captain cried. The whale was in full view. There's the whale fish's bow. The huge whale fish emerged from the water. The whale looked dreadful. It was covered in mud and green weed.

However this was not a whale or a fish. One of the captain’s crew members tells the captain, “You call that a whale?” The captain asks the fish, “Ah! What sorta fish are you?!” The fish tells the captain, “I’m not a real fish at all, you stupid man.” The captain asks him, “What are you if you're not a fish? You certainly look like a fish.” The fish says, “Well I certainly don't feel like a fish”.

Just then captain fell into the sea. Man overboard! His crew had to do something fast because the captain can't swim! Luckily the lifeboat had come to the rescue because the captain’s ship had been shipwrecked. After being shipwrecked no doubt he’ll be ready for lunch! When the fisherman got his breath back, the crew had a lovely picnic supper of fish and chips. It was the best fish supper they'd ever tasted. It was delicious. And the whale was in full view. At the end of the song, the captain thanks the fish for making friends with him.

Whales are great creatures of the sea! Whales represent the ocean no doubt.

Fish is a sea shanties which uses a mixture of jazz and electro swing. The song follows slow upright bass at a fast jazz pace. Notice how the beats and bass are slow.

Once again Mr. Scruff shall go and get the fishmonger to prepare the fish. Mr. Scruff expects you'd like to know about frogmen? Frogmen live on fish and catch them by diving onto them from a great height gliding down through the dark green water. Frogmen can breathe under water because they have amphibious nostrils. On the way down frogmen passed hundreds of trout of different sizes. Trout are freshwater fish and have under water weapons. Trout are very valuable and immensely powerful. Keep away from the trout.

Why should it be that the fish in the sea are all unable to sing? Just listen to Mr. Scruff. What need is there for fish to sing when Mr. Scruff can roar and bellow? Mr. Scruff wishes he could get his hands on a dozen fish.

Honeydew uses a mixture of soul and funk on top of spoken word. Honeydew is a song about women’s rights. Women’s rights is a topic about peace for women as well.

UNIIQU3 - Heartbeats album review

UNIIQU3 uses her signature style of Jersey Club out of New Jersey with the rhythmic eccentric beats, syncopated rhythms, and aggressive dance patterns near 130-140 BPM on her album UNIIQU3 - Heartbeats. Those fast bouncy grooves and beats make the album worth listening to. You can feel the footwork in the beats. The album has a raunchy romantic theme given how most of the songs on this album are love songs.

The song Unavailable is about UNIIQU3 not being able to leave her man alone because she is addicted to him.

On late nights UNIIQU3’s man don't wanna pick up the phone. And she is addicted. She can't leave him alone. He doesn't wanna pick up the phone. There are 10 missed calls.

UNIIQU3 can't help it. His love is like a drug and she can't quit. She loves him but her heart is selfish. She let him fuck around and melt it. After all the ill shit that they have dealt with. His love is like a drug and she can't quit.

But UNIIQU3 is completely aware of the fact she knows there's better love that she can get out there. There are missing pieces to the puzzle which can't fit. UNIIQU3 is gonna let her man go because he ain't shit. She has finally come to the conclusion and has come to terms that there are better men out there for her who will treat her better.

Of course UNIIQU3 recalls those times when they had late night calls on the hotline. He was off the hook. Their love connection was divine. They would text all day and talk all night. They were even taking selfies on FaceTime. And now it's UNIIQU3 spending late nights waiting on her man to call her when he is unavailable.

Microdosing is one of her most famous songs to date. Microdosing uses rhythmic eccentric beats, syncopated rhythms, and aggressive dance patterns near 130-140 BPM. Which of course make the song catchy and infectious. You can also hear some of that Jersey Club sound in the song too. Microdosing is about unreciprocated love and how love can be like a drug.

UNIIQU3 knows her man wants her. She tells her man to stop microdosing her love. She tells him, “You want me. Come take a dose of this drug. Stop microdosing my love.

He wants to feel the bliss when he is close to UNIIQU3. He took a tab and tripped. Then he kissed on her lips. The sticky icky wet wet. Dripping havin rich sex with UNIIQU3 laced down latex clothing. UNIIQU3 be feigning for the next flex every time when they are having sex. So don’t take it out of context.

What Chu Waiting For is one of those crazy twerking songs with that Jersey Club sound and some house beats. Tell UNIIQU3 what you waiting for.

Open up and tell UNIIQU3 more. You know UNIIQU3 intention is pure. Is UNIIQU3 who you adore? Tell her lies so she is assured. She just wanna feel secure. Can she be forever yours?

So just give UNIIQU3 the rain when she is puttin' in work while she twerks. She does the crazy legs split in the skirt. It'll hurt you if you miss out on this. UNIIQU3 has bad bitch vibes with a nerdy girl twist and these bomb-ass hips and these thick-ass thighs.

Lyrics to Verse 2 show that What Chu Waiting For is one of those crazy twerking songs obviously.

So just give me the rain
Puttin' in work, while I twerk, do the jerk
Do the crazy legs, split in the skirt
It'll hurt you if you miss out on this
Bad bitch vibes with a nerdy girl twist
And these bomb-ass hips and these thick-ass thighs

Nadus - Starfoxxx LA Contradansa EP EP review

The Nadus - Starfoxxx LA Contradansa EP uses such massive footwork with the beats that go up to 160 BPM. Such massive footwork fits in perfectly with the hard house soundscape. Somehow Nadus managed to make the drums sound processed and live simultaneously at the same time. That is truly masterful.  That Jersey Club sound meets Chicago house on this Nadus EP. The city of Newark, New Jersey produces some of the best Jersey Club music.

Bazooka (Nadus remix) such massive footwork with the beats that go up to 160 BPM. The breakdown is just simply amazing. Now those trumpets are what made the breakdown amazing. You can also hear some of that Jersey Club sound in the remix.

Guepa (Nadus Remix) uses a mixture of house and dance over hard hitting house drums and that Jersey Club sound. Somehow Nadus managed to make the drums sound processed and live simultaneously at the same time. That is truly masterful. Overall the drums have an Afrocentric feeling, sound, vibe, and rhythm to them.

Synthion – Windrunner EP review

Synthion – Windrunner is a beautiful happy hardcore electronic EP backed with that Jersey Club sound club heads will enjoy. Synthion’s signature “love-core” sound can be heard everywhere representing the cross-section of dance music and anime soundtracks. All the songs followed a very similar structure. All songs were written, performed, and produced by Synthion herself.

Lead The Way is filled with happy hardcore perfection. The track goes from hardcore to future bass quickly though. Travel+ uses chiptune, a beautiful piano section, and lively buildup. The piano section and buildup represent the beauty of the song.

Windrunner is about Synthion beginning a new adventure she has waited on for an eternity where she will soar across the seas and chase it endlessly. It's a brand new day. Synthion knows this time she’ll find her way because she is stronger than you think. She is running with the wind and she is ready to begin an adventure that she has waited on for an eternity. She’ll soar across the seas and chase it endlessly. Let's leave the past behind for now

Bone Skanless - The Skanless Family Presents That Nigga Bone album review

Bone Skanless - The Skanless Family Presents That Nigga Bone was one of the most skanless Saginaw rap albums of 1994. The album is real raw, foul, and skanless given that he was one scary man. Dope G-Funk lyrics and thick beats filled with horrorcore violence on top of that classic smooth gangsta rap are what you can expect to hear. Bone Skanless keeps it real brehsive. This is that Skanless sick ass shit no one can fuck with! It's Skanless Family 4 Life!! Mr. Pratt of Killa Productions and Gee Pierce of U BE U Studios were responsible for the production of this album. Now the audio has low quality but that is the beauty of this album.

Mack Tha Jack'a went through the roughest and foulest ghettoes to find this nigga, That Nigga Bone bka Bone Skanless, to record this album all throughout 1993 and sell it on the streets of Saginaw, Michigan.

Bone’s 1994 album was sold primarily at Ray’s Records and Tapes on East Genessee Road in Saginaw, Michigan. His album was also sold at Records N Tapes on Court Street in Saginaw, Michigan also. This was one of those cassettes that was all over Saginaw.

Bone Skanless was ahead of his time and should have blown up on a national scale. He just didn't have the money to push it right. If he had, that would have been a different story. One thing is for sure is that the Skanless Family and Bone Skanless knew how to be Skanless on a level that nobody knew how to fuck with.

Now the intro is one hell of a Skanless intro filled with heavy bass chords, thumping beats, and dark eerie soundscape. The intro uses repetitive lyrics which can get tiresome very quickly but that is the beauty and brehsiveness of that song.

The intro has some hilarious and quotable lyrics which are these lyrics.

All you motherfuckers
Wave your joints up in the air and wave them like you just don’t care
‘Cause I’mma take them motherfuckers

You motherfuckers sit back and enjoy the rest of the tape
You know what I’m saying?
Get you a fat ass blunt
And you smoke that motherfucker until your eyes look like 2 stop signs

The song Brain Dead explains how crazy Bone really is. Spooky, haunting, and eerie are 3 words that can be used to describe the song Brain Dead. Kind of like a horror movie. The song uses a haunting soundscape over dated chords and notes.

Honestly Brain Dead should have been used as the last song on the album instead of being #2 on the tracklist. The song That Nigga Bone should have been #2 on the tracklist because that song picks up where the intro left off. And also because the song fits with the mood, sound, tempo, pace, and vibes of the intro too.

Aw shit! You hear that shit? It’s that nigga Bone. They done let him loose out to the streets of Saginaw. Mack Tha Jack'a went through the roughest and foulest ghettoes to find this nigga.

Bone is quick to pull the trigger. The bullets went boom. Niggaz try to play hard but niggaz be yelling peace when he lets the 9 millimeter handgun release. You better not fuck with him, his family, or the Skanless Family. People couldn’t help Bone because of his deranged sick mind. Doctors say he is insane in the brain. He is brain dead without any regard to human life.

A jacking is now in session. He blasts with the M-11. Bone is a ghetto thug. 22 niggas tried to flex on Bone. Now 22 niggas are gone. He commits murders. He is facing a murder case. Could this be the end of Bone? His family has got his back.

He doesn’t need any friends because he was taught to hold his own ground. It’s strictly murder when he walks through his neighborhood. A nigga tried Bone and he died where he stood. His mission is to kill and destroy. Here comes the psycho with the mind of a devil. Fuck peace. Anybody who tries to stop Bone will be killed. Cops are on his trail. He flees the scene. 12 rounds of blood were found on the scene. That ain’t nothing nice.

Niggaz tumble when Bone walks. They don’t talk when they mumble. Halloween is a joke Bone does a  trick or treat whenever he is broke. Human bodies are something he craves. Digging souls from the grave and leaving punks on their back is what he does when he goes out to trick or treat. That’s how it is when Bone jacks people for their possessions and goods.

Yell his name if you love it. Suck his dick if you hate it. The last punk that didn’t like it, he cut his head off and then ate it. When you fuck with a killa, then you’re bound to get killed. Wanted posters are still hanging from the cards that he deals. Fuck the laws of the land. Put a nine in your hand.

The song Brain Dead has some of the lyrics which were used in the Skanless Family Outro on Mack The Jacka’s album that was released in 1993.

When I walk niggaz stumble
Halloween is a joke
I trick or treat when I’m broke
Human bodies I crave
Digging souls from the grave
Leaving punks on they back
That’s how it is when I jack
Yell my name if you love it
Suck my dick if you hate it
The last punk that didn’t like it
I cut his head off and then I ate it
When you fuck with a killa, then you’re bound to get killed
Wanted posters still hanging from the cards that I deal
Fuck the laws of the land
Put a nine in your hand
How you prove you’re a man?
Shoot a punk where he stands

Underground Reality explained the struggles of what Bone Skanless was going through at that point in his life. He had to struggle all his life because he was broke. He’s experienced crime, drugs, juvenile delinquency, and robbery in his life. Underground Reality also explains street hustlers are out on the corner doing their thang by doing whatever is necessary to make a decent amount of money in an ever-changing world.

The song has some of the most quotable and memorable lyrics such as "The hustle got hectic so I make money the dirty way" and “The life that I live its like a horrified movie”.

Living the street life ain’t the right choice to live. But at least it gets you a couple of dollars in your pocket. Doing it the ghetto thug way. Street hustlers are out on the corner doing their thang by doing whatever is necessary to make a decent amount of money.

You see, he had to struggle all his life because he was broke. Harassed by police because he was known for making trouble. His life was like a horror movie at that time. The crimes he was committing were distribution with intention to sell, robbery, and juvenile delinquency. That’s how it is when you’re brought up in the hood. Happy dreams are being shattered. Everyone is living wicked. Bone is booming weight by selling drugs all the time. His mind is on the edge with this underground reality.

Ghetto Thug explains how Bone was living his life as a ghetto thug. Ghetto Thug is another one of his songs which explained the struggles of what Bone Skanless was going through at that point in his life. Bone is a ghetto thug. Ghetto Thug is Underground Reality revisited.

Not many people know this about the song Ghetto Thug but Mr. Pratt and Gee Pierce sampled the beats and vinyl scratches from Zapp - Computer Love in the song sort of as breakbeats.

Niggaz step back when Bone is going through a thang. He is an OG in this game. He never took a loss but if he does he is coming up. That nigga is booming keys of weight underground that started from a double up. Living in a world where ain’t nobody giving a fuck. Being a drug dealer, robber, and killer is how Bone makes his money. Bone is so skanless because he is a victim of the ghetto.

Bone rounds up his family for robbery that is going down at 10 PM tonight. Shots rang out as the Skanless Family hit the block. Bone was picked up on suspicion of criminal activity by Saginaw Police Department by they ain’t got no evidence of him committing his crimes. Witnesses are dead because the Skanless Family shot them all.

Business is flowing straight. However he has to make his business boom. So he copped another eighth (1/8) of whatever drugs he was selling. A fool he knew around the way put him on a lick (information about a place to rob and commit robbery). He got to the location just in time. The person who was there panicked. Bone make that person show him where the safe is. Money is what he needs badly even though he copped eighth (1/8) of whatever drugs he was selling.

Bone shows awareness of the city of Saginaw, Michigan going down in a state of decline due to deindustrialization of the North and Midwest with these lyrics. “My city’s going down/But I ain’t going down with it”

The song That Nigga Bone is a self-explanatory song of Bone’s persona of who he is and what is about. The song picks up where the intro left off.

Honestly That Nigga Bone should have been used as the 2 on the tracklist to the album instead of being #4 on the tracklist. The song That Nigga Bone should have been #2 on the tracklist because that song picks up where the intro left off. And also because the song fits with the mood, sound, tempo, pace, and vibes of the intro too. This song is sick!

The song begins with Bone reciting words from the classic children's bedtime prayer from the 18th century called Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. “Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep/If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.”

Once again, that nigga Bone is back in the motherfucking house and is down with U Be U. The Skanless Family is getting buckwild in this motherfucker.

Bone is writing suicidal notes to take his own life. He sees visions of a butcher knife when he is alone. Another pain of death is going through his chest. Fuck a funeral. Bury him and let him rest. His death is another death but that’s not the way the story ends. If he rises from the dead, you’ll murder him again. He’ll have your mind fucked around. 200 niggas with grenades couldn’t handle him. This makes sense since he is living lower than the rest of his community.

Some people say he is going out of his mind but he does not care. He’s the man who pushed his grandmother out of her wheelchair. If you think it’s funny, go ahead and laugh. But little do you know you’re fucking with a psychopath. He goes around killing people. At least those who piss him off.

He keeps a pistol on him at all times. He shot a nigga. That nigga lived but he should have died according to Bone. Back in the kitchen there’s a brain in the frying pan. This brain was cut out from the head of a dead man. That bullshit you are talking is not necessary. If you have some beef with Bone, meet him in the cemetery. When he’s in town, he makes the hardest niggaz play soft and makes the hardest niggaz brains soft. Bone is kind of weird. But that is an understatement.

Bone can’t help it if his ways are loony. He went to jail for raising hell in his community of Saginaw. But he doesn’t give a fuck or a single regard because the Saginaw County Jail is like his second him. That’s the way it is.

The song That Nigga Bone has some hilarious and quotable lyrics which are these lyrics.

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep
If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take

Fuck a funeral
Just bury me and let me rest

Paint my casket red
Yeah, that’s what the fuck I said
If they don’t like it, they can lick up on my chocolate balls

Man fuck a driveby
I’m coming to your front door

200 niggas with grenades couldn’t handle me
This shit is reality
But little do you know you’re fucking with a psychopath
I’m living lower than the rest of my community
I take bath in a bathtub full of blood

Loot Thang is the closing song which calms the mood down for the entire album. This is one of those songs to smoke to. Bone explains how he shoots cocaine in the song.

5/5*****!!
