Smokey Joe & The Kid - Take Control album review

Smokey Joe & The Kid - Take Control uses a mixture of reggae, electro swing, rap, and hip hop in one song. You can hear the tinge of reggae in their vocals on songs such as Mister Nice Guy and One Life Saved. Jazzy, snazzy, and upbeat. That is how this album is entirely different from all of their other albums.

Mister Nice Guy is clearly a nice guy that might be quick to hit that switch. But only he needs to. So let me know it if you're ready for the madness. That is what the song Mister Nice Guy is about. Mister Nice Guy uses a mixture of reggae, electro swing, rap, and hip hop in one song. You can hear the tinge of reggae in their vocals.

Ladies and gentlemen. Boys and girls. Bitches and bitchettes from around the world. Here is Smokey Joe & The Kid. They wanna to introduce you to the most angriest man in the world. And his name is Mister Nice Guy.

There is a savage on attack. He travels on ground like a camel with a saddle on his back and he sounds like some rabid type of animal on tracks. Cameras wanna flash to capture when he channels what you lack. Mid-demolition is a comfort-zone. In Dubai turning the world's tallest buildings into bungalows. Candy-arse suckers know who's had the bars under-toe. Attacking mother lovers like an angry Mark Ruffalo. Walking atom blast avalanching on the ones below.

You and your army have to march or your cover's blown. Your team freeze like they struck a pose. While The Kid generates the type of heat to make it seem as if summer's cold. They all wonder though, “How this guy be tamed?” Quite insane with a menacing type of frame. If fire blazed he ignited the flame. That's why his brain might be blamed for climate change.

But Mister Nice Guy is a nice guy really. And even if you don't wanna believe that shit. It's still a pleasure for him to meet you.

You can see that Mister Nice Guy is clearly a nice guy that might be quick to hit that switch. But only he needs to. So let me know it if you're ready for the madness.

He was given the prescription but never got the tablets. He meant to take the medication but he couldn't get it from the cabinet. Now he is a grizzly bear with a message for you campers. He’ll leave you stranded, pop your tyres (tires), and then start a damn forest fire. Hot wiring to get in a lane. Never again to be got in so remember the name. Medics are saying that he is bonkers. To hell with their claims. Mister Nice Guy walks the thin line between pleasure and pain leaving cracks in concrete every step of the way. En route from the mental asylum is what Mister Nice Guy wants.

Take Control is about finding your piece of mind and not letting people take your soul from you.  All you want is a piece of mind. All everyone wants is a piece of mind. The message to the song is never feel that your future's wasted because you control your destiny.

All you want is a piece of mind. We all need to find that piece of mind in that happy place Because people, including you, work all day and sleep all night. There is no time for yourself to feel alright. Or time to part from darkness to see more light.

You got your manager harassing you to be on time while looking in the mirror like this can't be your life. Your life is on repeat like a really bad TV show we know they should do away with. But in reach is your destiny like a remote control. So you can change it. Never feel that your future's wasted because you control your destiny. Never feel that your future's wasted when you deal with pursuing greatness or if your soul is a damsel in distress don't stress because you can save it.

You want to (and everyone wants to) ease the pain for a piece of mind. To reach that place you seek to find. Read the signs and redefine on your way. Don't let them take from your soul. That means you're taking control. Never feel that your future's wasted.

Don't let anybody take it from you. Stay strong even when they wrong you. When you work to a goal, know the worth of your soul. If you don't then, mate, it's on you. Know your value and never forget. Stay sharp on your path to whatever is next. Get their respect when they measure you depth. From every breath in your chest, never settling for anything less.

Let the negative get in line so your precious time is never wasted. If it's meant to be destiny, fine then enter your prime and just embrace it. Never feel that your future's wasted.

Here is the Pastor offering's sermon.

Ladies & gentlemen, we are gathered here this evening. On this fine evening to pay homage to you know what. The soul mutha luvaz. That's right.

Ya'll better understand. And recognize and realize that anywhere you go around this world, if you ain't got no soul in you, then you ain't no gold in you. That's right, mutha luvaz. When you wake up in the morning, you better understand. The only thing you have is your soul. When you brush your teeth in the morning, that's right. Who does it for you? Your soul. That's right.

I go by the name of Pastor Offerings and I'd like to tell ya'll mutha luvaz that. You need to find. Redefine that to ease the pain that's right. You better say it loud. Say it loud and proud.

Fumando Jose y El Nino explains the the legend of Fumando José and El Níno. The pair are heroes in the Wild West. Fumando Jose y El Nino is Spanish for Smokey Joe & The Kid. This electro swing song has that Spanish style and sound along with that Latin flavor. This is sort of a Spanish electro swing song.

Outlaws are out to win after wrangling. Saddling up their stallions to start galloping. Fumando Jose y El Nino (Fumando José and El Níno/Smokey Joe & The Kid) dare another challenge with them outlaws. They'll swear to come and handle them. Fumando Jose y El Nino will round them all up as if they are bringing all the cattle in The winds brought a band of them who came to tell people the legend of Fumando José and El Níno.

Tell them everywhere. Better get prepared 'cause when they hear the click, that means they want your hands in the air now. Click, click. Everywhere keep them there now. They want to see them all air bound. Stick your hands in the air. You don't have to be scared of what's happening in here. Just aware what you're carrying has to be shared now.

Bandoleros (bandits) are out for more than just to stack dinero (money). These bandoleros are pack of weirdos who disguised as a gang of heroes. Racketeering yet attracting earholes. Whenever static's been pushed up to ten, they'll pull it back to zero.

From sun-up, a bunch of friendly musicians. But moonshine's the light on the truth when all the loot's missing. Tamed bronco's pulled dames from their honchos and made a lot go to sing out in the rain in their ponchos. That's why your so called town sheriff will frown and become extremely jealous of these loud fellas in your town who sound hellish.

They'll raid out your cellars without a premise. In and out your premises but still leave the crowd a message. To never trust a man if a wheel on his wagon's loose and always chase rattlesnake venom down with cactus juice. They will keep them mesmerized until it's time to bounce. All singing to the rhythms known to hypnotize the crowd who've been misguided in direction. But now they learn about the truth which lies in their possessions. The narrow minds soon open to the tiniest suggestions.

All because of these guys smiling in their stetsons who seem wilder than a Western movie. Others try it but there's none that seem to know why. The only thing they're moving is the tumbleweed that rolls by.

It's gonna be a showdown until it's a ghost town. And you better keep them there or else. Word to the spurs and the leather boot shell-toes. Putting in the work to make you learn though. So let the world know about the legend that'll live forever.

A gang of bandits that had the masses clambering together through every place that they went and never paying the rent. But this gang of bandits always paid some attention by every lady and gentleman.
At major events, they'd hear the news of wise goons. Mainly known for taking over your saloon at high-noon who were sticking up the towns and hit them with a couple rounds. Always aiming for the sole to have them kicking up the ground until the dust is settled Some will never touch the levels. It’s quite clear they'll have you scrapping ideas quick as rusty metal. Tell your trusty steed, better up it's speed, giddy up indeed. Plus you'll need to take a bunch of heed.

Swingrowers - Remote album review

Swingrowers - Remote is another overlooked electro swing album with a retro vibe and vintage jazz sounds. The Swingrowers came out with more suave songs in a classy jazzy manner. Songs such as Chiovi and Django pay tribute and homage to jazz from the 20th century.

Chiovi is about tears which hide true emotions from the heart. The lyrics to this electro swing song are performed in the Corsican language in C# Major key.

While it's raining outside and hides the sun that one no wants to marry. I go in because I don't want to get wet while it's raining outside. They are tears of love which wash the heart. A fire in the chest does not want to stop. I want to laugh!

These lyrics serve as symbolism of hiding true emotions from the heart. “They are tears of love, they wash the heart”

Django is based on the Belgian-born Romani-French jazz guitarist and composer Django Rinehardt. The song is about how his lady ditched him. The song pays tribute and homage to 1930s swing which is where all the bass, horn, and guitars come from.

Django Rinehardt has been close to his lady for years. Whenever he would play she would open her ears. She sked him to teach her and he would slip her beers. They played music all night. How did they get to here?

He carried her bags, rags, and her riches. They had each other's backs. Back then when they were big kids. But she just took it all for granted and ditched him. She switched when he asked her to include him in the picture. It ain't all about her! He really likes all the things she does. But she needs to blow her own horn. But why does she treat Django like she does?

Listen now. They were dealt the same hand. She came running to Django too quick. wanting the funds for her band. He showed her the ropes. It's up to her to make the most of it and be her own person. He knows she won’t go through that because she must be needing both hands. The way she has been blowing her own trumpet and jumping up to her own dance is so sad. But now she doesn't even seem to notice Django.

Ah, so typical! So competitive! He’ll take up her offer and give her some of her own medicineHer heart's darker than a pint of Guinness.

At the end of the song, Django Rinehardt goes toe-to-toe musically and physically with is brother D'anglo Rinehardt. But some Something happened that no one could have ever planned. Both brothers severed both their hands and now they unable to play music again.

Ladies and gentlemen. Django Rinehardt goes up against his little brother D'anglo Rinehardt in a sound clash to musical death! Lots of images folks! Get tickets now! D'anglo's stolen his brother's drummer! No love lost, it can go straight to stringing! Fist-to-fist! The loser can't hide and the winner takes all the pride!

Reports coming from the grand bowl here! Where we saw Django Rinehardt and D'anglo Rinehardt come toe-to-toe musically and then physically blow-to-blow! After what was one of the great musical shows of our time with both brothers in their prime. Losing their cool and then losing their minds! Both pulled out quite the considerable sharp knife and in the aftermath what can only be described as a post-musical bloodbath. Something happened that no man could have ever planned. Both brothers severed both their hands!

The song Midnight explain how the wolf sings howls at midnight. He's trying to call out her name but his love for his female lover and companion is still too far away. The song Midnight explained how love can be uncertain.

These lyrics explain how love can be uncertain. “The rich have money/The bees make honey/Love is never pure/Please, can you be mine one more time?”

The rich have money. The bees make honey. Love is uncertain. So is how the wolf sings howls at midnight. He's trying to call out her name but his love for his female lover and companion is still too far away. The wolf is warmed by her light. They say love is never pure. Howling is how the wolf sings at the stroke of midnight. He will be waiting until doomsday but his love is still too far away.

Mr. Magic - Sky’s the Limit album review

Mr. Magic - Sky’s the Limit has that rough edge of Southern rap with a crossover soul sound. Southern rap meets crossover soul. This is evident on songs such as No Hope and Special Forces. The album was the first album on TRU Records. His album was released as a joint effort venture on TRU Records and No Limit Records in 1998.

They say when you’re hopeless you’re not expected to do good. Be successful and it's by all means impossible to accomplish any goals. That is the message of the song No Hope. I hope ya’ll feel every word cause this is real it gets.

No Hope has that rough edge of Southern rap with a crossover soul sound due to the harmonious soulful piano organ which is used all over the place. Lady TRU and Sons of Funk provide the soulful singing on the chorus.

This was the song that featured Lady TRU. Lady TRU was none other than female songstress Porsha. She was signed to TRU Records with Magic and Sons Of Funk in 1998. She was also signed to TRU Records and No Limit Records at the same time. That is the reason why you can hear her all over the song with Magic and Sons Of Funk.

Do and can you believe all these people they call Magic hopeless? They say Magic is hopeless. Like a bullet with a hole in it.

It's not easy. Magic struggled to get in this position. Taking my people out the ghetto was his only mission. He was jacking and strong arming accomplished people. He done changed. He is making money and is now living good. He is out of the game completely.

He refused to see good in his accomplishments. This because all he ever gets is dirty looks and never compliments. There jealousy aimed at him because he was living larger then life at the age of 23. A lot of pessimistic people are speaking about his lifestyle.

Many expected him to go down the tubes. They were plotting on his downfall which would lead him to failure. Now the same people wishing that they could be in his shoes. These same people want to be in his position. But he is the one they call hopeless. Lord forgive them for thinking that Magic was worthless. He forgives and forgets. And he learns from every life experience. They call Magic hopeless. Hopeless like a bullet with a hole in it.

They said Magic hopeless and that he will never make it. They doubt it. Call him an outcast because he is bout it. The ghetto is in his blood. But he maintained through poverty and tears. His only wish was that he makes it to see another year. He left his dreams up in the pen. Now you can feel his constant struggle.

A childhood full of rainy days kept him hopeless. Since birth he felt he never had a fair chance in life on this wretched Earth. His lonely memories of the past got him thinking. Before he leaves this world, Magic wants to live a better life because he is hopeless.

Magic and C-Murder dedicated the song Depend on Me to for all the real niggas that are/were locked up paying their dues to society by serving/doing that time. It feels good to have a TRU nigga thug watching your back. Magic and C-Murder will be TRU niggas until they are dead. Depend on them.

C-Murder in the studio smoking weed with his TRU thugs. Motherfuckers are getting high in a whole room full of gangstas with TRU tattoos. Million dollar niggas still wearing them baseball caps. And never amongst no fake ass motherfuckers. They posse up and jump your ass like a clucker!

Now you can pay a real nigga to be on your team but TRU niggas don't ride by any means.
C-Murder  went to jail. His nigga posted bail for him. His niggas took the charges for the crimes he clotted and took the fall by taking the bullet for him. That's when he knew he had some down ass niggas money. After that he got TRU tattooed on his stomach. His real niggas gon' understand what I mean. You can't live without some TRU niggas on your team.

Damn it feels good to be a TRU nigga. There’s not a worry on Magic’s motherfuckin' mind. He’s got the power and the riches. He’s got nothing but bitches and a Cadillac sittin' on shine. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry wanna watch his back. People treat a nigga with the upmost respect when he puts that TRU necklace around his neck. Damn it feels good to be with TRU Records. Damn it feels good to be a TRU nigga.

Now he is riding in limousines and doing shows with Fiend. Believe that. They carry killas by the motherfucking pack. He won't stop until they put him on the wall. It’s his time to shine. It feels good to have a TRU nigga thug watching your back.

Mobb 4 Ever mystery detective theme due to the bass, beats, and heavy guitars. Mobb rap from the Bay Area meets Southern rap on Mobb 4 Ever. The song is similar to C-Ordell - Under Investigation and Lil O - I Don’t Talk. TRU niggas are going to mobb forever. Ya heard me? So watch them get in line in this motherfucker and tear it up.

Magic has Been in this motherfuckin game too long to let any nigga get the best of him. Niggas that be testing Magic never fulfill their destiny. Bustin for the fuck of it. So run for cover. He was thugging from the beginning because he was destined for hustle and to become a hustler. Magic is a made man.

Check the piece on his neck and you can clearly see that Magic a paid man. A TRU nigga who is on the winning team. Niggas start shivering soon as No Limit hits the scene. You niggas acting like you don't know. So what are you scared for?

Magic ain't changeable. He can rearrange your whole click and make them tamable. He’s a soldier, That's why they put him on the front line. Mr. Magic is the most notorious of all times nigga. (At least from the 9th Ward of New Orleans.)

Magic explains how he never bites the hand that feeds him on the song I Never. He claims, “I never bite the hand that feeds me.” He explains how much of a reliable person he is.

Magic never bites the hand that feeds him. Magic is always on call incase you niggas need him. He will never deceive you. You can depend on him because he will never leave you. You can believe that in your time of tribulations that Magic will be that first nigga shooting without no hesitations. He rides with you niggas whether you right or wrong. That’s why them soldiers last so long.

There ain't no bottom to this love. He’ll  go to the end of the Earth to ensure. As long as you with Magic you'll never be hurt. Be mentally and physically prepared for gangsta shit. He’ll throw himself in the line of fire to die with a good name. Fuck the fame. He was made by the game. And he is dedicated to TRU. So it's alright to put your faith in Magic.

Picture the power he possesses now with this tank around his neck. Magic wasn't shit before this so he thanks the Lord because he is blessed. He can now rest because he knows he is on his way to the top. And a tank of TRU niggas that refuse to stop.

Now Magic is still a rookie but he is making more cash than Donald Trump's bookie. He’s got his tank on shine. So it's hard for you not to look at him. Face it. Magic is legendary. The first of his kind from the 9th Ward of New Orleans.

He is making money nationwide in a no lose situation with Beats By The Pound producing his music. Whole shit platinum because no one is around to fuck with the sound. There is no greater love than being affiliated with ya’ll. But we all stand together so together we fall.

Ball Till We Fall was the No Limit Records and TRU Records collaboration with C-Murder and Magic. You gotta take C-Murder out the game to take him from this shit here. This is real down here. Niggas getting paid. And they gonna stick together and represent it forever. C-Murder and Magic are gon' ball until they fall.

Master P - Empire, From the Hood to Hollywood album review

Aspiring No Limit artist and basketball player Master P released another solid effort of an album called  Empire, From the Hood to Hollywood. Master P was dabbling into using drill beats popularized by Chicago rappers and SoundCloud rap in his songs for this comeback album of his. This album was new and experimental for him as one can tell. Lyricism is what contemporary rap is missing in. Most of the featured artists held down his album with their own ability and creativity. This album is just as sophisticated or whimsical as some of his previous albums were.

Master P proves to us on We Don’t Stop that the streets are rockin' with No Limit Forever as there ain't no competition. Fuck the trophies and award shows. They are the true champions of independent music. They don’t lose. They just win. He also proves that there ain't no limit to the money that a nigga is getting.

Master P feel likes Stephen Curry in game 6. He makes nonbelievers believe in him. He makes hating niggas change and wanna be with him. A thousand grams is how he came up in this game. The streets are rockin' with No Limit Forever as there ain't no competition No Limit Forever are champs. They don’t lose. They just win. There ain't another label out hotter than No Limit Forever.

Master P explains how he became a successful businessman in the song Hood To Hollywood. It’s a rags to riches story. His delivery with his lyrics are on point.

Master P had to grind when all he saw is poverty. Plus the economy is terrible. Niggas got tired of being broke. Him and his niggas in the kitchen flip more chickens than church. Don’t ask him to put you on. You weren't here with him when he was hurting.

Mo B. Dick - Gangsta Harmony album review

Mo B. Dick - Gangsta Harmony is a No Limit Records album almost hardly anyone talks about. This was one of No Limit’s lesser known R&B soul albums which had a rough edge of street savviness. No Limit in-house producer Mo B. Dick provides those smooth soulful harmonies on the Gangsta Harmony album with his production and KLC’s. The album is filled with love ballads and slow jams for the ladies.

Mo B. Dick goes after this fine lady he has been attempting to get with since his high school days when he was in high school. That is the synopsis behind the song Picture U & Me.

Mo B. Dick has been digging on this fine lady since the 12th grade in high school. Back in the day he knew that it was meant to be. This fine lady was kind of shy and didn't know what to say. She was a friend but she became part of Mo B. Dick. She turned Mo B. Dick on like a light. Times have changed now since Mo B. Dick is a grown man and is not a child anymore.

Mo B. Dick tells this fine lady he has been attempting to get with since his high school days this. “Girl, we been long on overdue for this right here, huh?” This fine lady tells him, “Yeah I know huh?” Mo B. Dick tells her it’s really going down by saying, “Yeah. It's really bout to really go down, you know.” This fine lady tells Mo B. Dick that she really wants him. “It's going down. Plus I've been wanting you. For real.”

It's another crazy night in New Orleans. Picture Mo B. Dick and this fine lady in the back of a 1964 (64) Chevy Impala in the back seat smoking on some bud (marijuana). There are some freaky little things going on in his mind. He is not trying to make her rush. But picture Mo B. Dick and this fine lady making love sometime.

Mo B. Dick is on another level everyday since he is recording and producing music for Beats By The Pound for No Limit Records. That is how he is making money. Everybody knows his name thanks to Master P. There ain't no limit to the things he can do for her because she has been down when he didn't have a dime to his name and she was his partner in crime on these streets.t's only right for them to do what they are supposed to do. They will ball until they fall.

All she has to do is promise that she will keep it real. Put that on everything. She’ll be his destiny. Think about it. There is total ecstasy in their relationship.

Could it B? is about Mo B. Dick falling in love again. An unknown songstress named Anita Thomas sings on the chorus.

Could it be Mo B. Dick is falling in love again? He got this feeling and he has felt it once before. Mo B. Dick is reminiscing on the time him and his lover, Peaches, used to wrestle on the floor. They would blow each other kisses in the dark. They are thinking about each other even though they are many miles apart.

Peaches has been thinking about the moments that they shared. She turns to embrace Mo B. Dick and she realize he’s not there. She sees his picture in the frame and hears his voice calling her name. So she spend time with them other guys. But their love is just not the same as his love.

Mo B. Dick calls Peaches every day to say how much he cares. He was there for Peaches when she needed him. Candle light dinners on the beach hand and hand. They watched the sunset. It's happening again. Life is like a boomerang. hat you do always comes right back to you. But Mo B. Dick is willing to hook up again and make it like it used to be because he realizes she is the most important thing to him.

Got to Get Mine is a song for all the players worldwide trying to get and have things in life. So many people are shiesty to the point where you can't trust no one. Mo B. Dick discusses how he himself wants his piece of the pie. It's the American way. KLC speaks on the song also.

This one's going out to all the players worldwide trying to have thangs. But looky here. Mo B. Dick is trying to have himself a little something in life. He ain't depending on nobody. He is going out there and getting it himself, ya dig?

So many people are shiesty to the point where you can't trust no one. Back in the day we were fighting, Today we're packing guns to solve out problems. It's just like crabs in a barrel in a dog eat dog world. People be killing each other. Mo B. Dick can't go out like a sucker by using excuses because he is about making some money, vacations, and cruises. That's why he has got to get his.

Mo B. Dick wants his piece of the pie. It's the American way. That's why he is constantly hustling because he is trying to get paid. He likes to ride in his Caddy (Cadillac) like a Down South Hustler. In other words it's all about survival. And only the strong can survive. It always stays on his mind.

Because money is KLC’s cousin. That’s why fools get played by the dozen. He has to get his like you have to get yours. Now believe that there's one way to do at it there. He’s gotta make this money. KLC can't be flossin'. So don't play him close. The greed in him wants it all. If there's a will there's a way to make it paper chase. Because the color of money doesn't have a race.

Mo B. Dick is rollin' over seas and is pushin' 88 keys. Rollin' on T's and B's with the Beats By The Pound as they are surrounded by sound. Mo B. Dick represents that Uptown where players hustle for a living, Get in where you fit in like you’re Shorty the Pimp.
