Das EFX - Hold It Down album review
Das EFX - Hold It Down is one Das EFX’s best albums to date which is even better than their 1992 debut album. The album is a mixture of reggae and hip hop/rap yet Das EFX managed to stay true to hip hop within their songs. The album contains East Coast style production from acclaimed producers such as DJ Premier, Pete Rock and Easy Mo Bee. One could call this album the best New York hip hop/rap album of 1995. A brehsive 5/5*****!! classic!
The duo Das EFX marked their return for 1995 on the Intro (Once Again) letting everyone know once again it’s on. That intro was one hard ass intro filled with East Coast style boom bap beats.
No diggedy. Can Das EFX kick a rhyme for your mind? No diggedy. Do they bring it real every time? No diggedy. Das EFX rips it every time. Das EFX kicks some mad ill rhymes on the song No Diggedy. A bit of reggae is used in their accents along with the production. This was the song that popularized the suffix“-iggedy” that was included on words that end with “-iggedy”. They used the suffix“-iggedy” in their nonsensical lines with a fast-paced flow.
Well Das EFX came biggity back from the gutter for 1995 with some more smooth and consistent rhyme are considerably smooth and slick like butt. So peep the butter flow. Check the rapture that Das EFX miggity manufacture. They are here to throw the pitch again. They gotta switch again because they back up in this bitch again. No doubt.
We roll like Michelin, Rappers know the pedigree. Das EFX are flowin steadily. Diggedy Das EFX runs things. Jiggity joined by the balls in case all else fails. Is you ready G?
I'm miggity made of snakes-n-snails and Rottweiler tails
Das EFX higgity hails from the land of gunslinging. And Das EFX has got more styles than Brooklyn got drug slingers. Word up! Police oppress Das EFX. MC's wanna stiggity stress Das EFX. Tickity talkin more trash than a Hefty. You faggot MC's marked for death. Down hardcore clowns and love singers.
Das EFX lines up rappers and then drops them like dominos. No diggedy! And everybody from their poppa to their momma knows Das EFX got the flows to get you hyper. Das EFX riggity raps like Saran from here to Pakistan. Dray and Books man came to kick styles out the can. Their sound is strictly hardcore underground. Sharpen up your skills. It's on the real to break em down. Provoke and get your jiggity jaw broke. B-K-L-Y-N is no joke! Niggas be actin shady!
Das EFX was knocking niggaz left and right with their rhymes and lyrics on the hardcore knocking hit known as Knockin’ Niggaz Off. They prove their lyrical skills and abilities and still potent. They were knocking niggaz out of the box in the 1990s.
Well let Dray get busy on the track one time. Who's this? It's diggity Das EFX and, yo, you know they never miss. Dray don't play. So check the shit he says. Dray is comin thru with the flow. You know Dray gots to get nice and precise. And plus he get the slice from dice.
His nigga Boogie Banger flipped from here all the way to Alabama. The Boogie Banger is bringing danger to the rap game no doubt. He kicks a rhyme and rips the spine out of your back frame. He never comes wack whenever he is on a song with the Das EFX duo.
Dray is at the peak of his career. And wack niggas ain't got a motherfucking prayer. He swears this day must be his lucky. Why? Because niggas wants to be him and bitches wants to fuck him.
Skoob’s stiggity style is the style that is bringing home the bacon and the cheddar. It's the East Coast niggas. Das EFX roasts niggas like whatever. Whether it be my place or your place. Hot potato, I ain't afraid of you MC's who wanna test Skoob, let's see what you made of! Put your batter up and you'll get your batter struck.
No matter what season, Skoob is coming through hot. He is quick to flip a mic just like a wave can flip a surfer. Das EFX holdin' down the block and got the real hip hop. It's diggity Das EFX. I thought you knew. That’s the way it's goin down in the underground.
Here We Go has that heavy bass rattling sound over boom bap beats and real hip hop backed by aggressive lyricism. These lyrics are an example of some of the aggressive lyricism on the song. “I drink Olde E like Fred G drank the Ripple/Word to God, niggas wanna play hard rock for doses/That shit got to go, I cock back, shot the flow POW!/CAUGHT, now hook em to the respirator drip”
Yo it's the slick fucking dick trife nigga from the Heights again. Books is gettin nice again. Sexing pussies like Mice and Men. You got him laughin to the fuckin bank and plus he is bad to the bone.
Guess who's next up to flex? There’s no need to introduce Dray. Das EFX is holdin down the spot just like the pimps do on the 40 deuce. You're gettin killed in his territory. You think you clever but you're never clever. I think you better run. You little bastard. You get the last hit. When Dray blasts it you're gonna end up in a fucking casket.
Niggas know Dray’s style's the fucking baddest. He is fatter than the fattest. He is never wack when he is on any track. Niggas wish they had this. You got the status but you're just a pussy. You need protection when you are in his section of town. One thing you can’t do is you can't deny it.
Books is on the scene with the nicotine puffer. He will gut you clean and make your fucking spleen rupture from all the lyrics and dopeness. He’s got styles for days but styles ain't even hatch yet. Perhaps wack niggas need to play the back step. Rhymesayers need prayers because snipers are gettin hot. That is super fly and super hot.
A 40 and a blunt motherfucker and you don't stop. Books used to smoke a pound a week but he be gettin higher lately. He knows a lotta rap figures and pushin crack niggas. Now he is fat like Ricki Lake.
To the hiddip the hop, ya don't stop. Das EFX comes with the real hip-hop. To the hiddip the hop, ya don't quit. Das EFX came to rip shit. Real Hip-Hop is the best hip hop cuts on the album. You have the boom bap sounds and innovative aggressive lyrics which make hip hop sound great and enjoyable for all audiences to listen to. One thing is for sure is that Das EFX definitely makes clear that you are gonna get to hear some “real” hip hop on the cut Real Hip-Hop. This song is 100% percent real hip hop.
Krazy Drayz briggedy-brings it straight from the cellar. In case you didn't know the flow is Fat like Joe. You're wack man. He can eat a rapper like Pac Man. Krazy Drayz is packin' more hits than Lou Piniella. You don't impress him.
Das EFX is the crew bringing the ruckus, no doubt. They’re the roughest dream team. Reign Supreme like a Cutlass. You can't touch their flow. Stakes through the hearts of them snake fake niggas when Skoob pop shit and rock shit like Metallica. Das EFX with the Real Hip-Hop. Das EFX is straight from the sewer and stayin' true to the streets. So stop and recognize the niggas on yo block.
This style of Skoob’s is well defined like Webster. Ain’t a badder nigga raw from the jaw than the Jabber-Jibber. He is certainly equipped to riggedy-rip the microphone to shreds.
Here It Is is Real Hip-Hop revisited. It's diggety Das EFX and this is how they are gettin down. I know you recognize the sound.
Drayz rhyming skills and talent are on point. Just read these lyrics. “Give me the money cuz I'm tryin to make a million/Rollin with my clique and yo we dick like a Sicilian” and “I bring the drama for the masses/Whippin niggas asses/So get ya glasses time for classes”
Drayz is back up in the scene here to make the green. And niggas out there know just what he means. He rides the beat like a jockey. Short and stocky. He is never sloppy. The honeys wanna clock and knock him. It doesn't shock him as he sees it all the time. Niggas know the sewer style is nutty. Get a little fame and now a nigga look as fine as wine. Ain't nuttin funny. He knows the game as he studies.
He brings the drama for the masses. Whippin niggas asses. So get ya glasses. Das EFX is comin' from the sewer and you know they never miss. Drayz takes his chances and goes for broke.
Das EFX is holdin down the spot and any wack penetrators are fallin to the flames of Books’ rap incinerators. I’m afraid he has got some bad news for crews. Books is throwin jabs, hooks and uppercuts to your face hitting you with the perfect combination like Stacy Lattisaw. He be the jibber jabber jaw. The skunk derelict ghetto lyrical specialist. Now true indeed a few MC's they just don't know what they doin.
Krazy Drayz is holding down the block as he riggedy rocks the miggedy microphone nonstop. You biting rappers better exit cause when he flexes it. The incredible man of the season. Here's the reason. It’s the rhymes he is releasing. It ain't no thing.
Microphone Master is Real Hip-Hop and Here It Is rolled into one song.
Dray might not be the man but he still proceeds to slam y'all. Dray crams to understand why these rappers try to faze him. They must be crazy messin with the Books and Drayzie. No matter what the weather is. You never wanna spark him. He is kickin rhymes and gettin his on the regular. See him in the black Benz just blowin up the cellular.
You know the sewer style is fly as shit. You're cheap and buried because you're never coming near it. So fear it when you hear it. Kids be peepin. They love the way that Das EFX be freakin’. His sewer style causes disaster. You better answer. Who's the microphone master?
Skoob brought a new style of lingo with lyrics in his verse. “Well yo, here's the humdinger, I'm briggity bringin a new style of lingo/It's a rap singer with the fat flow, so lo and behold/I higgity hold this mic piece for ransom”
Here's the humdinger. Skoob is going to briggity bringin a new style of lingo. It's a rap singer with the fat flow. So lo and behold. He higgity holds this mic piece for ransom. It's all about expansion, stocks of skunk, and props. His style is wild like the Cats of Villanova. The inspiration to riggity rock the nation. The flavor misbehaver from the super duper rhyme maker.
40 & A Blunt is an ode to alcoholic beverage and marijuana. Ashes to ashes and blunt to blunt. Dray is the weed smoker and MC provoker. All Dray wants do is spark a blunt and drink some fuckin brew. Niggas wanna follow but they know his style varies. He smokes like a fire and drinks like a fish. A 40 and a blunt. You know his steelo. Take a toke and blow the smoke like a dragon. They’re only smokin Phillies, White Owls, or Optimo’s. They’ve got the flows that are better with every letter. Ashes to ashes and blunt to blunt.
Buck-Buck was an in studio which might have actually been a freestyle session evidenced by the hiss in the production. The low quality muffled vocals are the beauty of the song. Treble has been significantly reduced. True rap fans and real hip hop heads will appreciate Buck-Buck.
Skoob is now stronger and faster. He is thicker than your plaster. He’s got more styles than most MC's can master. Beating him is like the Bills beating Dallas. Keep them shorts for the midgets. And plus he light that ass up like the numerical digits. Kicking the flows.
Drayz rhyming skills and talent are on point as always. Just read these lyrics.
[Verse 2: Dray]
Well yo, the one is for my nuts (uhh), the two is for my penis (penis)
See I can rock this microphone (yeah) from here to fuckin Venus
I do this, they be like "Who dis?" (who dis?), I break the answer (answer)
Krazy fuckin Drayzie on the mic (yeah), I spread like (cancer)
Niggas on my jive (why?) because I rock like a Camaro
I'm back to rip the track, so black you best to check the flow (flow)
Some niggas wanna copy but they're sloppy like Joe (yo) Joe (yo)
Dray can rock this microphone from here to fucking Venus. You've never seen this because you're corny. He is sleeping on your raps. Try to test Dray’s skills. Word is bond. So peep it because he will keep it straighter than an arrow.
Das EFX discussed their memories from years ago about how they got started in rap/hip hop on the song Can’t Have Nuttin’. Das EFX explains to us repeatedly that niggas just can't have nothing on the song Can’t Have Nuttin’ over and over.
Can’t Have Nuttin’ is the crazy esoteric song which gets quite dramatic due to the numerous layers of instrumentation that are used. A loud hollering singing vocal sample can be heard all over the song and throughout the duration of the song.
People used to say that Dray was a bum. Because when it came to profit, he really wasn't getting any. He was the wildest motherfucker that you ever saw. They used to call him Petey Wheezthrow. The devil's son-in-law. He got into shit like a fly. Of course he was buggin’.
He did everything from robbing, stealing, dealing, and even mugging. Dray was selling cocaine in the high school halls. He kept the vials up in some tennis balls. So you know he was playing it slick.
He packed a Tre 8 (.38) in them days he was playing for keeps. He used to run across the bridge with his peeps and they used to roll around Manhattan all day looking for a prey that they could rob on Broadway sticking niggas for their jewels if they're worthy of any monetary value whatsoever.
They made a couple of hits and then they jetted back to New Jersey. See every Saturday, they robbed another nigga at the skating rink. The beast (police) was always showing up at his rest (residence) asking "Does a certain Drayz live at this address? Yes?" The spot was hotter than the sun without a doubt.
He had the choice to go to school and get the fuck out! So he hit the South to attend Virginia State University in 1988 just like a bandit because he had no other viable option. He couldn't stand it. Shit was feeling strange.
Skoob recollects his memories from twenty something years ago. He takes you back to the days of brown envelope trays. This was around the time smoking reefer was the shit.
Twenty-something years ago, he was a newborn shorty headed for the decks of Bushwick section of Brooklyn, New York. He was the first man in the family of his. He had his clan from his building and his man from 8-11 with him when they hit the jams behind 2-57. Mom's was babysitting. (His mother was a homemaker.) Pop's was on the hustle. (His father was a street hustler.) 54 block was on lock. Some niggas slipped and got greedy. Another "rest in peace" in graffiti. But Skoob couldn't resist a few fights and petty heists. Because now he is across town in the Crown Heights neighborhood area. Believe me.
His nights are a little quieter but he is still amongst the schemes for the fun where sons run guns and blow slums with the dumbs and motherfuckers don't care. Skoob loves the street game so he stashed the green leaf by the air. You couldn't tell him shit either because he was more eager than a beaver.
But he has got to cease with this type of behavior. He has to do his mother a favor and go to school and get this fucking paper. So he started going to Virginia State University in 1988. But now the crib a is little bit bigger.
The year was 1989. Dray was staying out of fights. He is running with this nigga named Books from Crown Heights. Getting tore up from the flow-up. They were thinking they can blow up and get famous. So they wouldn’t show up to class. Getting drunk, smoking blunts and flunking classes was the function of their lifestyle. Virginia didn't have shit for Das EFX. That's why they broke out with Dice and Blitz in the blue Taurus. Das EFX stay gettin busy by flipping rhymes on the weekend. The deal they were seeking from styles they were freaking.
Das EFX performed at a rap contest in 1991. It was nothing they couldn't handle. They got the blueprints to this new style of rapping. Packin skills from the sewer. They gotta go and blow the spot to show them niggas how they rock. EPMD was judging the rap contest. Makin all that money on that Business As Usual tip. EPMD hit Das EFX with the digits to the cribs in Long Island. Das EFX never looked back. That's how they are thinking nowadays.
Alright is the soulful funky laced hip hop track which is backed by a repetitive vocal sample for a hook which goes "Alright" repeatedly. Funk, soul, and jazz meet hip hop on Alright.
The duo Das EFX explains how they hold things down on Hold It Down. They keep it on lock with the lyrics in their raps.
Dray be the man dropping the slang on your premises He’s got more rhymes than Run DMC got Adidas. Das EFX are the menaces slaying rappers like they're Genesis. You can't defeat Das EFX. So just back up off the metaphor. You best believe this, kid.
Higgedy halt! It's the Prince of Darkness known as Books is here to spark this miggity mic bringing it from the sewer. His target's the underground market. He be the rapper-in-chief, the editor, etcetera. The miggity mad dred night predator. 'Iggedy that and Iggedy this' Nigga's be fronting in their rhymes all the time claiming to represent the bastards missing classes. Shaking niggas down like the earth shook Japan.
Every time Dray writes a rhyme, he takes some time to make it rougher and tougher. Dray miggity made this for the snitches and for the riches. Das EFX is never changing faces like them two singing bitches known as Changing Faces. Plus They are dropping the skills off the top of the dome for their peoples in the sewer. So hold it down or you's a goner.
Dedicated was a song that was dedicated to all the real peeps and players across New York and New Jersey. Das EFX dedicated their song “Dedicated” to all the niggas gettin high, to all the niggas running game, to all the bitches actin fly, and to all the chicks that do the same.
Das EFX is on the mic and they are ready to rock rough rhymes. That is what Ready to Rock Rough Rhymes is about.
Das EFX is on the mic and they are ready to rock rough rhymes for your motherfucking mind. No diggedy. They’re gonna set it off one time. Coming out of fucking Crown Heights. So come equipped and don't slip.
They are coming mad thick and they’re on the hunt. They don't front or fake the funk. Das EFX is comin mad wilder than the West. Fake MC's are endangered like an endangered species. Your shit stinks like motherfucking feces. Your style is improper like a fraction. Your style is like an improper fraction. So why you wanna test and end up in a mess? They are ready to rock rough rhymes.
Das EFX is chilling and relaxing in the maxim. Niggas know the deal. It's the bubbly. So niggas spark the Dutch. Dray is guaranteed to rip and bend your microphone. His sewer style will confuse you. He’s got the hip hop touch. He got the steel in case of trouble. So now get up so you can hear the rest of this.
Only a few will understand and appreciate what's about to happen. Das EFX has come to represent the real on the song called Represent the Real.
Well it's the super duper rhymers Drayz and Skoob of Das EFX who are about to set it. Niggas best let it be or you'll regret it. They got to get the dough and have got to blow the spot.
Das EFX came biggity back from the gutter for 1995 with some more smooth and consistent rhyme are considerably smooth and slick like butt. So peep the butter flow. That is what these lyrics about their smooth flows are stating. “Biggety butter shit is how we comin kid we runnin shit/Now who you fuckin with is Diggey Das EFX” Now who do you think is fucking with Diggey Das EFX? They got their rhyming to perfection. They are coming back and running shit like Michael Jordan.
It's the rhyme fiend about a second from the crime scene. The boogie banger twisted off the lime green. There is much platinum on his walls that he can hardly see the paint. His shit'll make you faint. He is brandishing stiggedy styles to keep MC's vanishing. His patterns are amazing. Well miggedy mayday, mayday! It's Krazy Drayz's payday.
Comin Thru’ explains how Das EFX is coming through with their crew like this.
To be a rapper nowadays is real handy. That's why all these niggas wanna be down like Brandy. But they still ain't sayin nothing. Dray is bringing it back with his niggas. It’s goin down no diggedy. He riggity rock the miggity mic and got dreads like Ziggy. Ranting and raving while still misbehaving. See he has been causing trouble even since he started shaving. This ain't Craig Mack but black you know the flava. He briggity breaks that ass up just like Super Dave. He is kiggity comin with that Gang Starr like Guru.
Books got political by calling out former lawyer Johnny Cochrane for not defending or supporting the rights of juvenile delinquents. He called out former lawyer Johnny Cochrane for not defending or supporting the rights of juvenile delinquents with these lyrics.
Forty days and nights get in some fights
To get this style piece an order for this water mic slaughter
Dat ass tried to slip a fast one by me
Claimin to represent the murderers like Johnny
Cochrane, but ain't no stoppin when I'm diggity droppin
For the forgotten, the low down dirty rotten
Juvenile delinquents cos I still stink wit ghetto flavour
Hardcore Rap Act has very hardcore lyrics and booming beats. So enjoy the hardcore lyricism. The hardcore rap act is back! Now who's rhyming? Das EFX!
Dray said it first with the verse to make these niggas wanna act up. He is smacking up the wack MC’s. So back up or swing or you'll get stung his my stinger. Y'all niggas think you're slick but y'all can suck his fuckin dick. So bring your weapon or keep it stepping or hit the deck. If niggas wanna play around, then stay around and feel it. You’ll wind up in the hospital for fucking with Das EFX.
Abara-cadabara. It’s the return of the punk MC batterer Skoob. He is mad at the system like them niggas up in Attica Prison in Upstate New York. Lurkin in the murky waters of his starving shark style ever since the days of the Clarks and the Argyles. Quick to rip shit to bits like piranha. He does flex raps like Bruce Lee in kung-fu movies. The spot is blown up in a hardcore manner when he is up on the mic.
I got some bad news. Here comes the Hit Squad. It's diggity Das EFX and EPMD to make it clear. That is what Bad News is about.
Well it's the Boogie Banger at your service. His crew got niggas nervous. He’s got more cheese than mozzarella kicks it acapella. He swells the fuck up on some other rougher shit. The scenery seems to be in order for him. A second wasted is a dollar lost.
It's PMD of EPMD up in the sector. He can to wreck the microphone. He is quick to pull a tec and snap that neck and leave you moaning. Plus he knocks niggas out the box quickly. Kid PMD is strictly motherfucking business. So get with him.
It's that nigga Krazy Drazy who has come to show you what he has got. When he is rhyming, he is shining like a motherfucking diamond. Check the clock if you don't know the fucking time.
The Hit Squad shit is harder every year. Ya catch a bullet in your gut. And if you try to run, you catch another one to your butt. It's diggity Das EFX and PMD to make it clear. They riggity rock the miggity microphone as you can see. You know they never miss.
To the hiddip the hop, ya don't stop. Das EFX comes with the real hip-hop. To the hiddip the hop, ya don't quit. Das EFX came to rip shit. Real Hip-Hop (Pete Rock Remix) is one of the better hip hop cuts on the album. This song is 100% percent real hip hop from legendary producer Pete Rock.
5/5*****!!

Das EFX - How We Do album review
Das EFX - How We Do is one of the more overlooked Das EFX albums. Many people shitted on this Das EFX album and did not give it a proper chance to be appreciated or enjoyed. That is how this 2003 album got overlooked and overshadowed.
Many Das EFX fans said How We Do was whack compared to their other albums. Many Das EFX fans complained and said it’s not the right production for what they needed. The problem with this Das EFX album was the production is weak and some of the beats were wack. Das EFX were better with dark grimey beats. Das EFX needed that raw hardcore underground sound they usually used and not that updated commercialized rap sound used here. That raw street sound for their style is what the album needed. Them not using the “-iggity” style and sound is what drove fans away.
In reality Das EFX sounds more mature and polished as they had reestablished themselves when they made a return with this album. People had realized that the hip hop sound was changing, so they had to change with the times.
Das EFX went back to using their “-iggity” style and sound they were internationally known for using in the hip hop/rap community on The Memories Remain. The duo discuss their future plans and destiny. The duo remained true to their roots unlike some of the other songs on the album. This song has a nostalgic feeling.
Das EFX went back to using their “-iggity” style and sound they were internationally known for using in the hip hop/rap community with these lyrics “See liggidy-life ain't always what it seems to be/But I'm focused now I'm right where I need to be”
Jungle is one of their more politically charged songs which shows social consciousness and political awareness. They discussed and exposed the current politics of 2003 in the song.
For example, Dray shed light on the Israeli–Palestinian ongoing conflict which is the struggle between Israelis and Palestinians with these lyrics. “And analyze the right from wrong, I speak for half a million/That fight like Israelis and Palestinians/You dark enough? Watch the trees you barking up”
Another example is Dray called out the US Government for being corrupt and to never trust the government with these lyrics. “Dunn, they even locked Sharpton up, now that's some other shit/The government is scandalous and try to cover shit/I'm on some CNB, "keep on, my brother" shit/There's a lot of pain in this grain that we go against”
These lyrics of his show a spark of both political consciousness and social awareness. He was on some activism peace shit. “I'm on some CNB, "keep on, my brother" shit”
It's wild out here. They wonder why niggas smoke so much weed. Dray is from a place where the days are short and the nights are long. And when he is stressed out, he’ll write a song. He speaks for half a million that fight like Israelis and Palestinians. He came to analyze the right from wrong. The government is scandalous and tries to cover shit. Life's a dirty game. You either play a hoe or pimp.
The good die young in the hood. That is discussed in these lyrics. “Little niggas turning killer at an early age/Sending other little niggas to an early grave/They always say that the good die young, specially in the hood I'm from/Feel me”
One minute you’re getting ready for tour and the next minute you’re out here getting ready for war. The news be giving Skoob the blues like BB King. The thrill is gone, man. This life ain't no easy thing. If it ain't one struggle it's another. He doesn't know where he stands in this world.
Skoob explains that sometimes he doesn't know where he stands in this world in the lyrics to his verse which is Verse 2.
[Verse 2: Skoob]
Yo, I don't know where to start, so I will where I am
Sometimes in this world, I don't know where I stand
I'm just trying to make bread and share with the fam
And do what I gotta do take care of my fam, look
One minute yo, getting ready for tour
Next minute yo, out here getting ready for war
The news be giving me the blues like BB King
The thrill is gone, man, this life ain't no easy thing
If it ain't one struggle, it's a-motherfucking-nother
Everyday my sister having beef with mother
Sometimes I say, "Fuck it, Dray, why even bother?"
I'm still trying to work this shit out with my father
My old lady say I stress too much
A lot of shit be on the brain, I don't rest too much
I guess, living in the Jungle got me uptight
Trying to figure out a plan that got me up nights, man
East Coast Hustlaz has that real East Coast flavor with modern rap beats that have a thick commercial song but are not too commercialized. Many Das EFX fans called the song East Coast Hustlaz a classic. Some have already said, “This song is already a classic.” A majority of rap songs from the early 2000s had nice beats.
4/5****!

FAKE TYPE. - ツキ EP EP review
FAKE TYPE. - ツキ EP is the first and currently only EP album by Japanese electro swing band FAKE TYPE. The EP uses modern electronic production backed with vintage swing jazz instrumentation behind a big band. Electronic music meets jazz music on this EP. Who know that electro swing from Japan could be so classy?
FAKE TYPE. take us back through a journey of time with their song Time Capsule. They turn the clock backwards and show us their time capsule.
Memories that will be left behind. How can they just be forgotten? A small memory of the past. That is why we have time capsules. The key to memory is something we call a "time capsule". A time capsule is the door to the past that opens now. A time capsule is an important treasure can bring back sweet memories. It doesn't change even the memories fade away with time. It may be tiny but it is significant and important. Time capsules must be saved for generations from the past, present, and future.
ツキ (Tsuki) takes place before FAKE STYLE and tells the story of their fated meeting with street performer Baron Ham. Iwasake was one of the people that attended his performance thus forming a bond between the two. Words that couldn't be used as an excuse for the poor kindness that tends to cause self-harm. There is no escape. It’s now or never.
Tropical Mermaid is about a singing tropical mermaid who lives in the tropic under the sea.
A mellow singing tropical mermaid lives in the tropic under the sea. She dances and swims brilliantly. Certainly she is a beauty. It's sweet and intoxicating. Like a fantastic modulation that blends together. She has the scent of a bottle ship and Melon Liqueur. The place she lives in is a coral reef that drifts in a current of drowsiness.
Floating and drifting through the sea is what this mermaid does. Her tail stays swaying in the sea breeze. The sky is full of clouds. The sea shines. A bit of fruit similar to a ripe jewel shines in the sun. It will swell gradually. This mermaid is an open-minded free person who is also a nudist.
Shinobitxx is a tale of love and hate. An incarnation of love and hate.
Skanda was always concealed with a calm mask like an ordinary dog. She had loyalty and was disciplined. Her brutality was ridiculed. Skanda continued her repeated wandering without interruption. She was loved by family and hated by strangers.
The single flower that chose the darkness knows the beauty of the moonlight. The garden keeper of the nightless castle is also a concubinage who gets a deep blue handiwork. The back of the puppet's eyes that present pleasure is unremarkable. The loneliness in the shadow of the trembling warrior. Nothing is as scary as the unknown soul. The swirling speculation explorer swirls in smoke. The lie that her mouth spins before you know it is technical.
The dream with the illusion of the corpse drowning in lust is the endless last dance. If you follow the traces of honey dripping. Poisonous fangs sprinkling scented scent. Indecent flame disturbed by mischief. An incarnation of love and hate.
Swirling is a childish and useless event that causes repulsion. Remembering the hearts of those who have fallen out completely. Pretend to be worthwhile with the warmth of the custom-made decorations. Tonight dances like a butterfly without running away or hiding anywhere. Shinobitxx.
