Borealis Rex - Dawn ’Til Done album review

Borealis Rex - Dawn ’Til Done is one of the lesser known rock albums of 2020 that went overshadowed and ignored by the masses. The elements of British rock and folk can be heard throughout the album. One can easily tell how the band Borealis Rex was influenced by British rock and folk. Willie Taylor is one example of them being influenced by British folk music.

2 Much 2 Do explained the journey of a man named Daniel getting captured by British Royal Navy fleet and being forced to work in a winery that is actually a brewery.

Daniel got delivered to the house down the street by John the Revelator and half of the British fleet. He walks into the room where it's starting to sleet. The carpets start to crawl the walls are on the creep. Everybody's making 37 bottles of wine. Commander of the fleet wants to know the time. But serenaders lost somewhere in Viet-nine (Vietnam). They won't make it until tomorrow. So he eats a bowl of slime. Hocus Pocus cannot focus due to a bicycle injury.

These lyrics here reveal that Daniel got impressed meaning that the Royal Navy took him through an act of an impressment. “Daniel got delivered to the house down the street by John the Revelator and half of the British fleet”

Daniel introduces himsеlf to all present as Company T. Holly climbs up in the wall to avoid calamity that's bеing leveled on Daniel & John for diggin up her tree. Donny is freaking and pages the doctor on call who has a dozen phone books strapped upon the wall. He comes crashing through the window like a wayward wrecking ball. But there's not much he can do for Dan. He's only 2 feet tall.

Willie Taylor was a song about Royal Navy officer named William Taylor who was once a sailor. Willie Taylor is cover of the 1792 folk song called William Taylor.

William Taylor was a brisk young sailor who was full of heart and full of play. His youthful lover is full of mirth and loyalty. They were going to the church to be married. He is at church about to be married to a youthful lady when 24 British sailors met him on the King's Highway. Royal Navy took him through an act of an impressment. That is why he was pressed and sent to sea.

While he was going to his wedding, the Royal Navy accompanied him, and forced him to enlist into the Navy. That is what the lyrics, “To a youthful lady gay/Four and twenty British sailors/Met him on the King's Highway/As he went for to be married/Pressed he was and sent away” explain.

His bride-to-be dresses in sailor's clothing and she went on board as a man when she was really a woman crossdressing as a man. She dressed herself up like a sailor. Her pretty little fingers were long and slender. They were smeared with pitch and tar.  On her breast she wore a star. On the ship there was a battle. (On the ship there be a skirmish.) She did fight amongst the rest. She gave them all just a smear of tar. The wind blew off her silver buttons and her breasts were bared all snowy white.

When the captain did discover she was really a woman and not a man, he said, “Fair maid, what brought you here?” She tells the captain, “I’m in search of my true lover who you pressed on the other year.” Then the captain tells her “Willie Taylor is what they call him but Fitzgerald is his name. If you’ll get up tomorrow morning early as the break of day, there you’ll spy your Willie Taylor walking along with a lady gay.” She got up the very next morning early as the break of day. There she spied young William Taylor walking with his lady gay. She pulled out a brace of pistols that she had at her command. And there she shot her Willie Taylor with his bride at his right hand.

Nile Kings – Dropping Bombs single review

Nile Kings – Dropping Bombs is one of the lesser known Rhyme Syndicate Records (Rhyme $yndicate Records) singles with conscious hip hop. Not too many people know this single existed. Many of their songs have the theme of positive with positive uplifting messages to uplift people. Like Divine Styler, Nile Kings were 5% percenters that were once signed to Ice-T's Rhyme Syndicate label.

Listen To The Light is a positive uplifting song which empowers and exposes people to the truth. The Nile Kings want people to see the truth about life on their song. The song is sample crazy given that the song was recorded in the year of 1990. The song samples the bass lines and pianos to Melvin Bliss - Synthetic Substitution. Samples used were Melvin Bliss - Synthetic Substitution, Naughty by Nature - O.P.P., and Kool & The Gang - Jungle Boogie.

Positive Sound revisits Listen To The Light in a positive life. This is an example of jazzy hip hop aka jazz hop. The song is backed by a lo-fi horn heard in the background. The song is about remaining positive and avoiding negativity.

Stephen Lynch - A Little Bit Special album review

A Little Bit Special is a special Stephen Lynch album with super provocative humor you would find and hear on the Comedy Central channel. Stephen Lynch is no stranger to provocative and offensive humor. He has been making offensive jokes with provocative humor for years. Stephen pokes fun at touchy subjects such as sex, divorce, disability,  gerbilling, and work in a controversial provocative manner.

Lullaby (The Divorce Song) is a not so sweet or innocent song which pokes fun at the concept of divorce in a provocative manner. The humor is edgy and cringeworthy. Touchy subjects such as divorce, pornography, and pedophilia are mentioned throughout the song.

Hush little girl sweet baby don't cry tonight. Daddy is here and he'll sing you a soft lullaby tonight. Why can't it all be like it was before? How can I explain why Mommy's not here anymore? Because Daddy likes porno and $10 dollar whores. Daddy gets wasted and robs liquor stores. Daddy likes rubbing against little boys on the bus. I think that's why Mommy left us.

Hush little girl. There is no reason to fret tonight. Don't mind the smoke. Daddy just wants to forget tonight
Soon it will all be like it was before. Any minute she will through that front door. But daddy plays poker and drinks lots of beer. Then he wants sex that involves Mommy's rear. Daddy has soars on his naughty parts oozing with pus. I think Mommy left us.

Please don't cry. I swear I'll try to be here by your side. Right after Daddy gets home from the bar, visits his bookee, and steals a new car. He'll drive to the strip club. And if daddy plays his cards right, he'll bring home your new mommy tonight.

Special is a song about a mentally retarded (mentally disabled/challenged) boy Stephen was once friends with during his childhood. Ed was known affectionally as “special Ed” which is the nickname Stephen gave him and referred to Ed as. The song pokes fun at the subjects of mental retardation and disability.

When Stephen was a boy of 10 years, he had a very best friend named Ed. Ed was kind with good intent but was just a little different. His mother dropped him on his head when he was an infant. Now she keeps him in the shed. That is why he's not so bright. He's a little bit special due to his mentally disability. Well just a little bit.

They’d play tag and he'd get hurt. Stephen would play soldier and Ed would eat dirt. Stephen liked math and spelling. Ed liked talking to a tree. Stephen ran track and hung out in malls. Ed ran headfirst into walls. Stephen had girls and lots of clothes. Ed had names for all his toes. Now Ed thinks he's a piece of bread because he's a little bit special.

One day while Stephen talking to special Ed, Ed grabbed a brick and he swung at Stephen’s head. And as he laughed at Stephen, that’s when Stephen knew that special Ed just made him special too. Now Stephen laughs as he counts bugs. He gives strangers great big hugs. Yeah he's a fucking Einstein. Now those two are not right in the head, you see. They’re a little bit special. That fucker Ed made Stephen special.

Gerbil parodies the concept of gerbilling which is a sexual practice of inserting small live animals into one's rectum to achieve anal stimulation. Stephen bought a gerbil from the petting zoo and sticks the gerbil up his asshole. But one thing he forgot about is how to get his gerbil out of his asshole. The situation gets beyond his control. Stephen tries crowbars and wires to pry his gerbil out of his asshole but with no success. Stephen almost had gotten his gerbil out successfully with a pair of pliers. But the gerbil dies inside of his asshole. Stephen finally realizes he has committed gerbicide. An act of animal cruelty on gerbils and homicide.

Stephen bought a gerbil from the petting zoo. If Richard Gere can do it, Stephen can too. Stephen gets undressed starts to lubricate the gerbil tube with lube (lubricant). He sticks the gerbil in the end of the tube wondering just how he'll feel. Will the gerbil like it better than the little wheel?

Now the gerbil right is inside Stephen. So now his gerbil is on Easy Street. It's warm and cozy and there's plenty to eat. The gerbil burrows harder and deeper into Stephen’s asshole (anal canal).

But there is one thing he forgot about. How is he supposed to get his gerbil out? The situation has gotten beyond his control. So now Stephen has to manage to find a way to get his gerbil out of his asshole. Stephen tries crowbars and wires to pry his gerbil out of his asshole but with no success. Stephen almost had gotten his gerbil out successfully with a pair of pliers. He tried cheese but the gerbil is not biting. He wishes this wasn't so exciting.

Stephen thinks he is getting ill. Suddenly the gerbil is very still. Now it's too late because his gerbil died. Stephen finally realizes he has committed gerbicide. An act of animal cruelty on gerbils and homicide. Here's some advice that is very clear cut. If you love your gerbil, don't stick your gerbil up your butt. If you put a gerbil in your asshole, the gerbil won't come out.

HermAphrodite pokes fun at people with having both male and female sex organs or other sexual characteristics, either abnormally or (in the case of some organisms) as the natural condition.

This hermaphrodite part girl and part boy. She's got parts everyone can enjoy. She's got her manhood tucked in her dress. Is she a mister or is she a miss? Does she stand up when she is taking a piss? She is Stephen’s little girl and little guy disturbingly. When he tries to please her by giving her pleasure, he gets poked in the eye.

She wears lace and flannel. She watches football and the Lifetime Channel. What's that bulge under her nightie? It must be a hermaphrodite. Some things are white. Some things are black. Some girls wear makeup. His shaves her back. She is still beautiful and still fine. It's too bad her package is bigger than Stephen’s. She can't help her imperfections. She gets jock itch from her yeast infections.

In Defense of a Peepshow Girl is about Stephen viewing a pornographic film of a girl through a slot.

Stephen sees her there behind the glass. He drops a quarter in the slot. Then he watches as her shake that ass, grind, and dance. He watches her. Stephen shows her his genitals. She shows Stephen her genitals. Stephen buttons up his pants when he is done.

His friends all laugh and scoff when he says he loves a girl who loves to take it off. But he tells them that they're crazy, because he has been around the world and there's nothing with his peepshow girl. He love its when she greases her body and slides it up and down that pole. He loves her mind and soul. He also love her hair and her eyes. Stephen knows that she feels the same way because he can see the love dripping down her thighs.

His mother would laugh and scoff if she knew her son loved a girl who loved to take it off. And she'd probably disown Stephen if she met his little pearl.

Stephen is broke because he kept on paying to see her through a slot. She bled him dry. And it's amazing how much money that a guy will spend to taste a little pie. He can't believe that he found love in a place where his feet stick to the floor.

Stephen went to confession and the preacher said, “No. It's a sin to love a girl who isn't pure as driven snow.” Stephen said, “Preacher, I don't care man. I found heaven in this world. And there's nothing wrong, oh preacher, with my peepshow girl, no. I said there's nothing wrong, nothing wrong with my peepshow girl.”

Al Stewart - Bedsitter Images album review

Al Stewart - Bedsitter Images is one of the lesser known British folk albums from 1967 that hardly almost anyone remembers. This album was wholesome exquisite writing from 55 years ago. His comparative songwriting can be compared to Bob Dylan or Shane McGowan. Most of these songs are love songs written in the format of folk songs with lengthy lines and sentences.

Swiss Cottage Manoeuvres explained how Al fell in love with a girl at a Swiss Cottage shaped bookshop in Charing Cross Road in central London, England, UK. The song sounds like a dormitory tale of a holiday night's escapade.

It was on a Christmas cake day one Friday in August in a Swiss Cottage shaped bookshop in Charing Cross Road in central London, England that Al Stewart first set eyes on a girl who was the one for him. She had eyes like a poet and hair like a rainbow. Reflecting the lights that did glow. And the sadness she kept in her eyes struck his senses a blow.

And so as by chance at the touch of a glance, they could find ourselves out in the road with no crush of time to defeat them and no place to go. Al couldn't say how but the coffee bar crowd had appeared through the silence that broke. She said, "Oh my father's a judge in St. Albans you know." Al said,  "Oh well, then perhaps I could help you. You know that St. Albans is miles away. And I've got a room in Swiss Cottage in which you could stay." Al offers her help telling her he has a room in Swiss Cottage in central London.

She laughed and tells Al, "Oh I couldn't do that for I've got to be up in the morning you see." So Al rang up to find out the first morning train she could take. And so in the gloom of a candlelit room with spaghetti, two forks, and a plate. She said, "Oh I really would like to be free and escape." "Oh well if it's like that, you don't have to go back And you're perfectly welcome to stay. But I've not finished school yet." She said as she got into bed.

And so as she slept and the pure morning crept through the windows to take her away, he thought you can't make people be what you want them to be. He could see himself nailed to a dormitory tale of a holiday night's escapade. And just yesterday she had seemed like a woman to himself. And so like a child with the sleep in her eyes where the sadness of age had once been, she left on the train with a "See you again" and a smile. Al couldn't say what he had won or I lost Or even just what he had seen. But when he is alone he just thinks of her once in awhile.

Clifton In The Rain explains the story of Al taking his lover to Clifton in the United Kingdom during rainy weather. The song dealt with sorrow as Al would not see his lover for a long time.

The rain came down like beads bouncing on the noses of the people from the train. A flock of salty ears sparkled in the traffic lights. Feet squelched soggy leaves across the grain. Wanderers in overcoats with collars on parade steaming in the night. The listeners in the Troubadour. Guitar player weaves a willow strain.  Al took his lover (love) to Clifton in the rain. Have you felt a shadow of its pain? Al thought of her in Clifton in the rain.

Static-P - Sky Sugar Adventure album review

Static-P - Sky Sugar Adventure is the adventurous digital album with positive tones. The themes of this album are adventure and mystery. Static-P stuck to his anime roots by using live production.

Static-P explains how he is an adventurer on the song appropriately titled ADVENTURER. But he is uncertain what his destiny is and should be. He has many questions that need to be answered for certainty sake. The song is about Static-P finding his place in this world. The themes of this song are adventure and mystery.

Static-P is an adventurer! The adventure calls his name. What will he do? Where will he go? Who will he become?

He dares to be brave in this world full of danger and pain. It takes courage to have heart in this world full of danger and pain. A hero is someone who fights while afraid not knowing each step of the way. A hero is someone who gives from their heart sacrificing in order to save.

Someone told Static-P, “Young child, go forth, find your place.” Somewhere there's a place both near and quite far where Static-P is sure to belong somewhere in time he’ll know where he is called. But where is he meant to be right now? Will he find his way when he doesn't know who he is? Is this life like a gift to unwrap and behold? Will he find his peace? There are so many questions that need to be answered for certainty sake.

His village has fallen to waste. When he came from the fields 'twas naught but a blaze. His memories of this place are like a flower in bloom at the foot of a grave. And don't we all have days like these? And don't these things make the stories ring? Will he find his way in this land he barely knows? Is this world like a gift to unwrap and behold? He must venture forth.

What lies before him? Longing to be. Wonder what's out there. Waiting. He is longing for someone to teach him about himself. Adventure calls him. It yearns for him to be part of this world as to change it forever. Each gift he has, including his, life is a gift for one and all And though there is pain and strife, he will gladly heed his call. Static-P has made and become a part of this world and what it holds.

Sky Lanterns encourages people to make a path of hope for themselves whatever challenges there may be out there. Despite the level of difficulty, there is always a way through.

We know what it takes to be something we're proud of. Don't wait for the sunlight to brighten your day. Take up the torch and be strengthened. We can light up the darkness and fight through the pain. Wake and work up a dream worth chasing. You know what I mean. Static-P knows that you are strong enough because you've got a big heart.

We can't change night into day if we don't try to light the way. Keep strong your belief and fight for you dreams. This world is tough but it's worth it. We weren't put here on Earth for our security. So dream a big dream and chase it. Away with our old selves controlled by emotion. Away with the thoughts that were shrouded in dark. We carry the lanterns of self revolution because our lives were not strung to conform to the setting sun! The efforts that we make in the dark when we're feeling down will teach our hearts the strength that it takes keeping dark thoughts out.

Bellowhead - Burlesque album review

Bellowhead - Burlesque is a burlesque themed cabaret folk album where folk music meets cabaret music in a flashy provocative manner. You can hear a bit of jazz influence inside some of the orchestration and instrumentation such as the horns and drums. Controversial and provocative are two terms that can be used to describe the album.

Jordan was a song about the former British protectorate of the country of Jordan which was formerly the Emirate of Transjordan. The Emirate of Transjordan existed from the time period of 1921–1946. The song explored the controversial issue of white slavery that was occurring in Jordan at that time. White British refugees in Jordan were being used as slaves by some of the local criminals.

The ladies of England made a big address about slavery and hardships about white slavery. The British were starving on the English side of Jordan which at the time was known as Emirate of Transjordan. White British refugees were being used as slaves by some of the local criminals. The lyrics “They better look at home to their own white slaves” was a reference to indenture where the British often used Irish people as white slaves in their own country.

John Ball came calling with 4 blind horses riding in the clouds to look at the other side of Jordan. Jordan is a hard road to travel. And Jonah spent 3 days in the belly of a whale. 3 days and 2 nights. He tickled him with a straw which caused him to laugh. And he chucked him on the other side of Jordan.

The Outlandish Knight is about a lady having a secret sexcapade with a knight known for his outlandish behavior and mannerisms.

Lady Margaret sits in her bower sewing ma ba and the lilly ba when she saw the knight with his horn blowing on the very first morning of May. She said,  "Oh I wish that I had that horn I hear blowing. And that young knight to sleep here on my breast."

The knight came jumping at her window on the very first morning of May. He said, "Oh strange it is, oh strange young woman. I can scarce blow my horn since I hear you a-calling on the very first morning of May. Go fetch you gold from your father's table. Deliver it unto me and the two fastest horses in your father's stable where there stand thirty and three."

So he's mounted him on the black horse and she's rode on the dappled grey. And they rode till they come to the broad sea shore just 3 hours before it was day. The knight says, "Lie down, lie down from your horse and deliver it unto me. For it's six pretty maids I have drowned here and the seventh one you shall be. Take off your clothes and deliver them unto me for they are too fine and costly robes for to rot in the salt sea." Lady Margaret says, "Lie down, lie down from your horse, "And turn your back on me for it's not fitting that any gentle man a naked lady should see."

So he's mounted him down off his horse so high. The knight turned his back on her and she caught him around the middle so small. Tumbled him all down in the sea. Lady Margaret ends up ditching the knight and lets him drown.

So she's mounted her on the black horse and she's led the dappled grey. Lady Margaret rode til she came to her father's house an hour before it was day. A parrot was sitting up on her window side. The parrot says, "Oh where have you been, oh my pretty mistress. So long before it is day?" Lady Margaret says, "Don't you prittle, don't you prattle, oh my pretty polly. Don't you tell the tales on me. And your cage shall be made of the best glittering gold. Your perch of the best ivory." But her father sitting up at his window side hearing what the parrot said.

Bellowhead - Broadside album review

Bellowhead - Broadside is a sea shanty themed folk album that is not as flashy or provocative as their other albums are. This album was more wholesome. The album has covers of classic Irish sea shanties and classic British sea shanties. Some of the songs are originals such as Betsy Baker and Black Beetle Pies.

Betsy Baker explained a man’s encounter with a woman named Betsy Baker. This man falls in love with a woman named Betsy Baker at church one Sunday in hot weather. He believes he should be married to Betsy Baker. When church lets out, he follows her. But she cruelly rejects him. He returned home heartbroken.

From noise and bustle far away. As a man walked over each acre, he never knew what it was to sigh until he saw Betsy Baker. He met her at church dressed so neat one Sunday in hot weather. They sang psalms together one Sunday. This man found love in the church.  So she turned her head so modestly. Her voice did quaver. He thought if he did ever wed, it would be with Betsy Baker. He would be married to Betsy Baker.

When church was over, she went out. The man followed after her. He was determined he would not be baulked. He was determined not to be baulked. He spoke to Betsy Baker. But in all honesty she rejected him. And he was forced to leave her. He got not sleep at all that night for love had brought a fever.

She got acquainted with a rambling mad play actor at last. He gammoned her to run away with him.  And he lost Betsy Baker. Another man fell in love with Betsy Baker. But though he strive another way, his heart will never forsake her.He dreams all night and thinks all day of cruel Betsy Baker. From noise and bustle far away.

Black Beetle Pies was an original song written by the members of Bellowhead. The song was a strange little tale with a nasty surprise. Listen to Bellowhead’s strange little tale with a nasty surprise.

There's a lady who feeds the poor on her black beetle pies at Raglan House in Brixton, England. For all of you that are hungry, do not despair. She is so benevolent to all who go there. And you'll get a nice supper. You can fill your hungry bellies before you depart. She'll hand out to Tom, Dick and Nellie a stinking slice of her black beetle tart.

The gardener next door was a very nice man. She gave him such a pie as nobody can. When he took off the crust of it, he found after a pause that the inside was stuffed with this fine lady's drawers were black beetle pies. She laughed in his face then. Her breath made him close both his eyes. She said, "I'm longing to feed you up on my nice hearty black beetle pies" And this is the treatment she gives to the poor who happen to find their way to her lodging house door.

Ice T - Power album review

Ice T - Power was the best gangsta rap album of 1988 that was filled with electro elements, funky bounce, soulful samples, and old school rap sounds. Now this album was an example of early gangsta rap from the late 1980s that glorifies violence but not drugs ironically. This album is a must have for any hip hop head or fans. Ice T - Power is a certified hood classic that is legendary. Songs such as I’m Your Pusher, Drama, Power, and High Rollers have quotable dialogue and lyrics.

I’m Your Pusher was the Curtis Mayfield inspired gangsta rap song that was underground hit in LA back in the late 1980s laced with funky bounce, soulful soul, and hardcore street savvy gangsta rap lyrics. Ice T explained how addictive his music was in a metaphorical manner throughout the song while criticizing drug use and selling at the same time. Ice T ain't never lied. His dope hits the streets with no doubt.

Yo, you a fool. You don't know what time it is out here on the streets. Messing up your mind. You know what I'm sayin'? This is Ice-T talkin' to you, boy. He’ll tell you what time it is.

It's time for him to pump the volume. No problem. The record's revolving. Evil E's the mixer and Ice T is the rap trickster. Paparazzi is on the bum rush for pictures. Ice is coolin', yo. Colder than ever. Punk executioner Evil E will pull the lever and rotate the wax. Then cut and axe the tracks. Push up the levels until the red lights max. Don't try to size up. You better wise up. Dope beats and lyrics. No beepers needed for this drug deal. Overall there are dope beats and lyrics on this song. No beepers needed.

The dope Ice T is selling is the not the kind/type of dope you don't smoke, The dope Ice T is selling is the kind you feel. You don't smoke this dope. He’s selling dope in each and every record store. He’s the kingpin when the wax spins. Crack or smack will take you to a sure end. You don't need it. Just throw that stuff away. You wanna get high? Let the record play.

I know you're loving this drug as it's coming out your speaker. Bass through the bottoms. Highs thru the tweeters. But you don't need a pipe for this base. Just a tempo to keep your hype. Groovin' like he sees you doin’. Some stupid crack would just ruin your natural high. Why? That ain't fly. And anyone who says it is full of lies. They’re lying. Now this jam is lit. It's like the ultimate high. People high off dope but are still physically fit. Ice T is the biggest dope dealer in history from sellin' dope beats, dope rhymes, and dope cuts. Because all the fly will be high off that Ice-T.

Ice T doesn't play when it comes to his dope. He checks his lyrics close with a microscope. No he doesn't clean them up with no Ivory soap. He leaves them hard and pure. Hoping that you can cope. Because you might O.D. if you overdrive.

The cops don't know what to do because his dope breaks through. No matter what they do, Ice T’s stuff gets to you. Kickin' on the Boulevard. His tempo's hyped and hard. The Ice just bogarts. His dope hits the streets with no doubt.
Sire Records puts me out, with Warner Bros. clout

Evil E adds the cut and then removes it. IZ checks for purity and then approves it. And then you get it, try it, and like it. And if it ain't potent, they remix and spike it to bring you the pure dope. Not a noose in a rope. You want some real dope, come look in his trunk. The dope Ice T is selling is 100% legit. So get real, fool, and try some real shit.

The song I’m Your Pusher is one of those Ice T songs which has quotable dialogue and lyrics. Below is some of the quotable dialogue and lyrics that were used in this song.

Yo, it's time for me to pump the volume
No problem, the record's revolvin'
Evil's the mixer, I'm the rap trickster

I'm the kingpin when the wax spins
Crack or smack will take you to a sure end
You don't need it, just throw that stuff away
You wanna get high? Let the record play

I know you're lovin' this drug as it's comin' out your speaker
Bass through the bottons, highs thru the tweeters
But this base you don't need a pipe
Just a tempo to keep your hype
Groovin' like I see you doin'
Some stupid crack would just ruin
Your natural high, why? That ain't fly
And anyone who says it is, lies

MC Ice T
I'm your pusher

Here are some of the one-liners he used.

Yo, it's time for me to pump the volume
Paparazzi on the bum rush for pictures
Dope beats and lyrics, no beepers needed
Bass through the bottons, highs thru the tweeters
You wanna get high? Let the record play
Ice, coolin', yo colder than ever
I know you're lovin' this drug as it's comin' out your speaker
Just a tempo to keep your hype
Oh now this jam is lit, it's like the ultimate
Because you might O.D. if you overdrive

Drama explained all the legal drama and criminal escapades Ice T gets himself into on these Los Angeles streets.

Cruisin' for a bruisin’. Ice T is taking no crap. He has a pipe bomb in his trunk and has got a ,9 millimeter handgun in his lap for a sprayin' (killing). Tonight there's no time for playing around. The Rhyme Syndicate posse's most strapped and tonight the crew's weighin’. Dust is burning as the steering wheel's turning. Some suckers crossed the line with Rhyme Syndicate. Tonight it's their loss and life's the cost. It’s payback time.

Gauges poke out the window. One lay cross the roof. They all die if those suckers ain't bulletproof. Ice T has no moral compass (at least to some extent) and all he wants is what's golden. A fool in a fight is too dumb to know right. That is what the lyrics “But I'm blind to what's wrong, all I want is what's golden/A fool in a fight, too dumb to know right” mean.

Suddenly Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) catch Rhyme Syndicate and Ice T in the nick of time before he is even able to commit his crime. Police officers read them their rights. Now they are in legal drama because the car they were driving was a stolen car.

Ice T copped an alias/fictitious named for himself and bailed out in an hour or less. He keeps a bank for that don't know about the rest. Then he copped another piece and hit the dark streets rollin' once again. Ice T called up his boy Joe, a roof job professional. A 459 was on his mind which involved stealing a pair of car stereos. He said the spot was sleek because he cased the joint a week.

Joe and Ice T creep inside at 3 AM on the dot. They steal Alpines, fishes, JVC's, Motorola Phones, and Sony Color TV’s. They had the car packed up until they heard "Freeze!". Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) catch Joe and Ice T stealing everything. That's the time drama started.

At 4 in the morning they are cuffed in the room with the two-way glass. Detectives in effect cold doggin' his ass interrogating him with questions such as "What's your date of birth?" and "What's your real name?". Ice T stuck to his alias because he knows the game. If they don't know who you are, then they don't know what you've done. Detectives tell Ice T, "You're just makin' this harder on yourself, son. Have you ever been arrested before?" He knew this shit by heart. He’s too clever. The District Attorney (DA) has rejection written all over his face. Then Joe snitched on himself and Ice T to the detectives about the crimes they committed. Ice T finds out right there on the spot poignantly Joe is a snitch. Joe snitching on himself and Ice T to the detectives set a precedent for more drama.

Ice caught a case and half. The judge laughed and dropped the mallet after his sentence is given. Now Ice T is in the penitentiary chillin' like a real pro.He can't move until the man says go. A puppet of the big game. An institutional thing. Ice T wouldn't be here if he fed his brain and got knowledge from school books instead of street crooks.

Now all he gets is penitentiary hard looks. The joint is like an oven of caged heat. You're just a number and another piece of tough meat. Killers and robbers are all you greet. Act soft and you will get beat. On death row they got their own hot seat for those who feel that they are truly elite. The last thing you see is a priest. The lights dim and your life ends. Drama.

The song Drama is another one of those Ice T songs which has quotable dialogue and lyrics. Below is some of the quotable dialogue and lyrics that were used in this song.

Cruisin' for a bruisin', I'm takin' no crap
Pipe bomb in my trunk, got a nine in my lap
I'm layin' for a sprayin', tonight there's no playin'
The posse's most strapped, tonight the crew's weighin'
Dust is burnin', the steering wheel's turnin'

Now I'm in the penzo, chillin' like a real pro
I can't move 'til the man says go
A puppet of the big game, an institutional thing

Cruisin' for a bruisin', I'm takin' no crap
Pipe bomb in my trunk, got a nine in my lap

Suckers crossed, tonight it's their loss
Payback time, boy, life's the cost

But I'm blind to what's wrong, all I want is what's golden
A fool in a fight, too dumb to know right

5/5*****!!
