One Gud Cide - Look What The Streets Made album review

One Gud Cide - Look What The Streets Made was a product of a time when gang violence was higher than any city in the State of Texas next to Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston which was 1995. The album revolves around the theme of violence and deals with criminal activity. The album had that classic remarkable Funky Town production from the legendary producer Ernie G. Southern soul and G-Funk are blended in with the sounds of dark gangsta rap. Funky Town rap from Fort Worth, Texas always seems to fly under the radar which is truly a shame. One Gud Cide and Twisted Black put Funky Town on the map with this album.

The recording process time for their debut album lasted from 1991 to 1995. However the recording process of their debut album came to an abrupt halt when Twisted Black was shot in the face and lost half of his jaw in what was an assassination attempt.

Twisted Black’s jaw took 2 years to heal for a full recovery which lead him to stay in the hospital until 1993. Twisted Black was discharged from Fort Worth Harris Methodist HEB Hospital on the date of Sunday, March 14, 1993 as reported by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Notice the date on the album cover which shows the date of 5/12/91 which was 5/12/1991. Twisted Black was shot in the face and lost half of his jaw in an assassination attempt on the date of May 12, 1991. The rate of homicide in Fort Worth in 1991 was 200 homicides. Fort Worth was the homicide capital of Texas next to Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Waco.

Game Of Life is explains what happens when African American men get caught up in a life of crime when trapped in a vicious cycle of poverty. Game Of Life is a country rap song with which uses a bluesy harmonica over G-Funk beats and heavy bass.

Verse 3 is memorable for these lyrics.

2 time loser
Been to the pen twice
I'm back on the streets and I'm rolling the dice
But I can't let law catch me thrice

My chest so swole because you know I'm coming straight from the hole
And know I'm rolling in the night I got a attitude because u know if I'm caught I'm gone
Plus you know I'm dead to the wrong
So if the law get behind me hitting those lights the fool better know it's gonna be a gun fight because I ain't going back down
So the one left standing is the one that gets the crown

A geeker (drug fiend) sold Twisted Black half a bird ($2,000 dollars worth of drugs). Now Fort Worth Police Department is after him. So moves his family to Wichita, Kansas. A drug cartel is paying $26,000 for a kilo he’s getting them for  $18,500. That’s $7,000 for him just for the transport. However the drug transaction was a set up.

Time To Be A Man explains the difficulties for African American men (black men) in the United States of America such as mass incarceration which leads to a revolving door of recidivism. The song goes so deep.

Not many people know this but Mama Told Me is the gangsta rap version of Fourplay - Chant. The song uses a huge touch of smooth jazz in the background. The smooth jazz sample is what makes the song soothing. The song goes so deep.

Coop MC - Home of The Killers album review

Coop MC - Home of The Killers was the blueprint of Fort Worth rap in 1995 due to the fact that his album has classic remarkable Funky Town production from the legendary producer Ernie G. Ernie G was the sound of Fort Worth rap which is Funky Town rap. Southern soul and G-Funk are blended in with the sounds of dark gangsta rap. A majority of the songs on his album have a sad mournful vibe to them such as Blue Sunday and Home of The Killers.

This is Southern fried reality rap. Funky Town rap from Fort Worth, Texas always seems to fly under the radar which is truly a shame. Home of The Killers, Contradictions, Currency, and Look What The Streets Made are some of the best Fort Worth rap albums ever made.

Coop MC - Home of The Killers was a product of a time in Fort Worth when gang violence was higher than any city in the State of Texas next to Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston which was 1995. Fort Worth was the homicide capital and gang capital of Texas next to Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Waco.

One thing many people don’t realize is that SJ of One Gud Cide had contributed to a huge portion of this album. SJ doesn’t get enough credit for his contributions to this album.

Coop MC divulges into the subject of daily pressure on his song called Pressure. Pressure everyday by the same old thang. At least that’s what they say. This is life under pressure.

Pressure everyday by the same old thang. Niggas thinking that they hard claiming a gang barely reaching age 20 in 1993 and waking up every morning to live through just a day.

Coop MC is watching his back for the jack (robbery). He is watching for his crack with the sight with the tec that he packs. He’s got homies on his side but he really doesn't know because them same trick niggas be fighting over hoes. They say they are down with Coop MC but the condition is critical. But he can't deal with niggas if their thoughts not identical. He likes to hold his own and not even go looking for help. Because a nigga like Coop is getting down for oneself.

Never trusting a nigga and never trusting a bitch because a nigga ain't shit and a bitch is to hit. And will he see the stars or will he see the bars? Another young black society in scars for life under pressure like this.

Coop MC can't cope with his life because he is a daytime player but a thief of the night. He is true to the game and has always kept the mentality. He dedicated life to the street of his hood. He had to keep his business on the earn like a G hanging on the cuts with a sack full of dimes. And ain't nobody know a damn thing about him. Coop MC was greatly influenced by his homie Rust. The only nigga in the hood that had a nigga's trust in the battlefield of his city streets where only the strong survive and the weak shall sleep.

Coop MC had nowhere to run with nowhere to hide. He was a player to the upmost hail by his pride. He got another stripe in the year of 1992. He was draped in black spitting game like a pharaoh making to this bitch that had to be they hoe. And now they're trying to play on this player like a mark. And yelling they hood can hit him up in the dark. As he looked up, he saw the heading his direction. Coop MC was pressured by his peers and he couldn't see the light. He had Coop MC under pressure. So he took his life when he squeezed a trigger and hit the mid-section.

Coop MC shed light on all the games women play with men on My Woman. These hoes out here are on that bullshit. She got in the game, got this man (nigga) a name, and some clout. That’s how his nigga came up. This song is about another tale with murder all because of that bitch. My Woman was the classic old school Funky Town banger that was used on the Down South Hustlers compilation. The song is backed by the smooth sample of Gap Band - Yearning For Your Love.

This nigga who was a drug dealer put down a lick by shooting his boss in his mouth. He stole his money and hid the body when he covered it so nobody would discover the murder. Then this nigga went to his crib and found his safe with the knot. Counted the drugs out to place it in his stash spot. The shit was unbearable. He scored 100 G's ($100,000 dollars). Plus the nigga's boss had about 20 ki's (20 kilograms). Then he cooked them up and got some workers on his team. Then he bought a fresh ride.

All within a week he sowed up the South Side of Fort Worth, Texas. 5 to 10 G's (10 grand = $10,000) every minute on the hour.  Money stacked so high resembling a tower. Along with the ends when it came. You should know. He thought she was sweet, but she was really a gold-digging hoe. Now who's down with that bitch?

His woman digs for money day and night. His woman loves him and she holds him tight. His woman better come on home tonight because if she doesn't he’s gonna beat that ass all night.

This nigga had 50 G's ($50,000 dollars) by the end of every day. He had been working for a month, so the nigga had to pay. She started sensing thing because she thought he had it made. He kept trickin on that bitch and kept his workers unpaid. She tells him to forget them because his friends wouldn't matter. This is where the situation started to shift in a downward spiral.

Today it was fat, but yesterday his grip was fatter. The game was sweet, The bitch played her cards right. The nigga was dumb basically because he let the money change his life. What was a dollar is now is a penny today Did she take a little or did she take plenty?

She fucked him at 5 PM in the afternoon so by 8 PM at night he was asleep. And rob him at 9 PM so she could creep by 10 PM at night. And short on his dope and the 100 G's too. But heh didn't blame the bitch for his downfall and shortcomings because he thought she was true to him and true to the game.

He called up his mother and questioned her about the money. She started to laugh. He said, "This shit ain't funny!" So he threatened her life and said he'd kill her himself. Suddenly the ATF knocked down his door and raided his house. All because of that bitch.

He called up his girl from Tarrant County Jail to come and get him out the bucket. She answered the phone and he heard a nigga saying, "Suck it.". He said, "Baby come and get me quick!" But she couldn't reply with her mouth full of dick.

She went down to bail him out one hour later. Then she took him to his house. He got on the phone and called this nigga who was pumpin drugs by selling them. And asked if he could/would the nigga front him something.

They met up at Weiss German Restaurant and passed the black briefcase. The nigga called up his girl and said there he will sleep tonight. He went to her crib so he could see what he was fronted not even knowing that some niggas had him peeped.

4 niggas in a blue Cadillac Seville were nigga hunting. They creeped up slow, One of the niggas in the blue Cadillac Seville said he knew the house, went to the back, and saw the couple on the couch. His first day out was the last of his life. Needles to say the nigga was murdered by the thieves of the night all because of that bitch.

Hangin' At 2 is a beautiful laid back G-Funk track with whiny G-Funk synths and chords over phat heavy thick ass basslines. Coop came with own his own groove on this one right here.

Blue Sunday is a sad mournful song about how the good old days used to be. You can really say they gone. Home of the killers used to be at peace but it’s been so long. You can hear Ernie G’s sound all over the song due to the chords, basslines, and keys.

Twisted Black - Late Bloomer album review

Twisted Black - Late Bloomer is one of the best Fort Worth rap albums of 2003. This was the soundtrack of Twisted Black’s life at one time. The soundtrack of a hustler’s life. These songs are Twisted Black’s autobiographical tales filled with distinctive poetry. Twisted Black - Late Bloomer has reportedly sold 15,000 copies in 2003. Now Twisted Black is one of the best rappers from Fort Worth, Texas that is under appreciated.

Late Bloomer (Intro) marked the return of Twisted Black after a 3 year bid in the penitentiary for assaulting a police officer and receiving stolen property.

Twisted Black just stepped out of the penitentiary door. He’s standing at the scrap line and is ready for war. He wastes no more for the South to even the score. This time he brought a couple cats with him that are more rough than before. Oh Allah, rain down the powers above so lyrically he can devour all these cowards and scrubs that were standing in his way to get the blessings he deserved.  His testimony is the truth of these lessons he reserved.

Some niggas badmouthed his name when he was gone and serving time in the penitentiary. But they didn't hear Twisted Black flow. Niggas throwin' commissary at him off 3Row. Not a rep went by. There’s about to be a lot of pain and misery because Twisted Black is checkin' in this game and bringing a lot of chaos to this game of sin.

Coldest Summer Ever is another gangsta tale from the rapper deemed to be the coldest storyteller ever which is Twisted Black. And this is why. Check this out. The song deals with betrayal which is why there is an element of betrayal. Twisted Black explains how betrayal can ruin lives and friendships. This story explains how Pretty Boy Zack (Pretty Boy) betrayed his friendship with Heavy over information that Tisha Summers leaked out.

His partner Heavy is gang related scoring 4 and 5 raw bricks. Last week he brought 6 raw bricks from Pretty Boy. Pretty Boy got good hair with light skin. Puerto Ricans love this boy because he fits right in with them. He keeps that money right for now but Pretty Boy got dirty fix galore. They blessed the cat with thirty bricks or more. He's just waitin' for the right time to plight his crime and he’s going to get them Ricans for a righteous dime.

Heavy has got his gangsta chick Tisha (Tisha Summers). She cooks a meal like ya mama but is inclined to keep a player rich.  She's down to bake a sweet potato pie then make a dope deal with ya. Her and Heavy make the team. Her and Heavy wears a ring. But her and Heavy each do their own thing. Heavy

Heavy and Pretty's kinda cool. So when Heavy would score his work, Pretty Boy would usually push him 2 or 3. Basically whatever Heavy needs. But if Heavy had Pretty's hookup then the streets would bleed. And Heavy knew that. That's where the betrayal grew at and from. If it were not for betrayal, they both could've flourished and been a hell of a duet. But then the seasons had to change, the reasons all for change. It was the coldest summer ever and that was strange.

The coldest summer that Twisted Black ever seen and known. The coldest summer there's ever been. The coldest winds that have ever blown.

Now Pretty Boy done knocked the Mercedes Benz. He already had him a 5. He knocked the 6. So he's flippin' twins. And Heavy's watching with the big eye. He's saying, "This nigga don't deserve all he got and if I just had his hookup then, things would look up I could scratch a meal and have my whole city shook up."

But get this. Pretty Boy's weak behind women. So while he's trickin' and showing his teeth, Heavy's sitting with his mind swimming. Heavy knows that Pretty wants to rob these Puerto Ricans. So he updates the game to that broad Tisha to get this nigga leaking information about the rip-off scam.
He figured that he can win a plug in exchange for a tip-off. Pretty fell for the bait.  Tisha eased up on this nigga with the grace of a snake and got him drunk by talking shit with her at the club. It's safe to say she's got this cat hooked.  He took her home and feed him good dinner.

But something’s wrong with this picture. Pretty's mind steady blinkin' and he can't make his mind remember. All he knows is baby got a mouth piece cold as December. And by the time she rode his piece again. He was putting in his mix. Tish would leave with meters.

Now Pretty Boy's ready for this heist. He's tryin' desperately to reach the Puerto Ricans. He done paged them thrice. And by the time he got them on the phone. He told them, "Triple up my order, gimme one day, and I got it gone." But his plan was to skip town. Him and Tish are going one way to Ohio to be Cleveland Browns.

But Tish' told Heavy and Heavy told the Puerto Ricans. And all the trust is out the window because everybody is leaking information. The Puerto Ricans called up Pretty and said, "Meet up at that restaurant. We got your order ready. Heavy, meet us at that spot too. 'Cause if this nigga don't got no bags packed, well then we got you with ninety birds in the trunk of a Escalade."

They are feeling hurt because this here is quite a test of faith because Pretty Boy's like a brother to them. But if this nigga's got his luggage in his trunk, well then they gots to do them.

It's 9 PM. They are at the Spaghetti Warehouse parking lot somewhere on the Southwest Side of Fort Wort, Texas. Pretty doesn't see them next to Heavy and his Chevy Suburban. Well at least he thinks it's Heavy in his Chevy but he's not for certain.

Every man sprang loose from their vehicles. And things started in slow motion like when weed hits you. And neither man had their pistol drawn. But then shots rang out from somewhere and everybody knew. That foul play had made its way to the playground. The Puerto Ricans were speaking Spanish yelling "Stay down!". But the sniper had them on the scope.

Pretty Boy and each Puerto Rican took a bullet to their throat. And Heavy took a bullet to his brain. That's 4 dope dealers on the parking lot laying slain. And out the bushes came Tisha Summers with a 30-Aught 6 she won for 90 bricks.

Block Bleeding was the song that was featured on the Home Invaders soundtrack for the movie Home Invaders. The song featured Malice & Pusha-T of Clipse. Only this version is a remix. Block bleedin', we hustle for skrilla because we need it.

Malice done put time in. And though it ain't crack no more, he is still grindin’. He spent twenty on that wrist watch. He has no time for them chicken and tricks. You'll never catch him trickin' on chicks. If he falls off, it’s back to thе kitchen fixin' that mix. Malice is Malicious. He is known to get that money and run. Romance is out the question because there is not a chance of him being caught up in a romance.

Block bleedin', we hustle for skrilla because we need it. Sometimes we do it because we greedy. Ghetto gladiators are bangin' hard in street arenas. Twisted Black is the Black Russell Crowe who is movin' snow from Fort Worth, Texas to Catalina (Spain).

Twisted Black is representing for them gutter folks where life is hard. Where they sell sacks and fight in the yard. Twisted Black is so iced up they call him Mr. Freeze.

He is on the quest plus he is hungry. He’s gang-stricken. When he spits, it's like a venomous snake. Niggas'll break and grab they broads. Twisted Black will have her selling her tail because he has game for days. Small frame with this tall game all in your range. Funkytown, Texas. Niggas go for their connection. You know where you grindin’.

True Hustla is explains Twisted Black’s life of a true hustler and sticks to the code of the streets. This for all the hustlers (hustlas) out there grinding in the trenches. Y’all ready? The idea and concept for the original True Hustla came from Pure Gangsta which was a song on his 2002 mixtape called Da Official Mixtape.

Twisted Black sideways up the highway in a 1972 Cutlass Oldsmobile. Had Ace Ducey bumpin' his Boosie. He knows he’s small but he is a lighter heavyweighter. That scar up on his cheekbone is something you can't speak on. That scar up on his cheekbone is a 12 gauge wound. That is a reference to the time when someone tried to assassinate Twisted Black. Twisted Black was shot in the face and lost half of his jaw in an assassination attempt on the date of May 12, 1991. A reference to the One Gud Cide - Look What The Streets Made album cover.

Gangsta to his bone marrow. Twisted Black walks the streets but he keeps shifting like he’s Elvis. He has 62 grams left. He can't leave until he sells this.  He knows if he stay down on his hustle, a blessing’s gonna come to a hustla.

This Southern nigga's tactful. This boy is reckless. Keke said it best. Twisted Black is representin' Texas. The home of the plexes. They said they diss the South but these suckers here don't want this. Most of y'all pretend when Lord knows that Twisted Black is a gangsta to his heart. He doesn’t even have to play the part.

Now Twisted Black is 145 pounds of gorilla. Twisted Black ain't buckin’. But Twisted Black has got no sense. All he has got is hard knocks and made dough from hard rocks. Airborne similar to smallpox.

Every day when he awakens, another breath is taken. He says a gangsta prayer because he haven't been forsaken. Thank the Lord for makin' Twisted Black a stiff nigga and a tough around the chin nigga. The kind that don't bend nigga. He’s been in trouble all his days and twice to the pen. They say Twisted Black has got the big head. He’s been out for a decade trying to earn stripes.

Real niggas'll bang this and thugs bitches'll bump this. Fake niggas are gonna hate this because it's something they can't funk with. If you're lookin' for a gangsta for guidance then let him lead ya. Most of y'all pretend when Lord knows that Twisted Black is a hustla to his heart. He ain't even got to play the part because he is a hustla.

Hustla’s Prayer is a song for all the hustlas out there doing their thing. But right now Twisted Black is praying for you through a hustla's prayer. Twisted Black was on lock down in the penitentiary.

Twisted Black does not want to stop selling drugs. He knows and is fully aware of federal agents (feds) that are watching him and surveillancing his every move. He doesn't give a damn what they say. He loves hustlin'. Ask anybody in his city of Fort Worth, Texas and they are going to tell you that TwistedBlack moves dope (drugs). Now he has found new hope through prayer and supplication.

Most of his partners never knew that/or about how he blew dope. It was his little secret but now you know because loose lips sink ships. Twisted Black is addicted to hustlin' because his father taught him how to hustle. Those cops were too slow and never caught Twisted Black. (At least most of the time.)

Blame L.A. Rhyme because he fronted work and brought Twisted Black in. L.A. Rhyme gave Twisted Black game raw saying, "Black, you gots to buy dope. ‘Cause if I front it to you, technically, that's my dope. Gone and kill yourself if you was ever thinkin' try dope. Hope you give that life sentence back, yeah, that's what I hope"

Forgive Twisted Black for his sins because it's evident that he suffers greed. His good side and bad side keep on tusslin'. Before he ever lays it down, he keeps on hustlin'.

Twisted Black wishes that life was different for him but it's not and so I gots to hold on. A brother gets addicted to it after so long. His cousin, Renée be like "Sellin' drugs are so wrong." Tell that to his Mercedes Benz and 20's that he rolls in.  He doesn't sell dope now but then again he still shoots dice. Takes a hot merchandise and flip it at a new price. Take a white broad or two up on his team that boost ice so he can pamper his three children and that little cute wife. He ain't different from you. It's just he’s livin' off the land.

He always scratch a lick every time that he can. Twisted Black does what he does to feed his family. He ain't braggin' as he has been deemed to be this breadwinner. The kids don't know that it's been blood on top of their dinner.

Just look at his partners that's stuck in the game and can't leave it. The young ones caught on the block and they can't bleed it. The ones that done caught 'em a case and they can't beat it. The warning signs right in their face and they can't heed it. The kids don't know that it's been blood on top of their dinner. And all them partners out there who commence to bleed the block.

I Ain’t Sorry is about how Twisted Black is not sorry for the things he did. He has no regrets. It’s a no apologies type of song.

Twisted Black ain't sorry for the things he did. If he was then I wouldn’t admit them all because this the life that he chose to live by getting mixed up in this gangsta shit. And if he had a choice, he’d probably just ask the Lord to forgive him for his sins. But Twisted Black is a fool and playboy. So there ain’t no use because he would probably just do them again.

You know there’s a difference when you when you say you sorry and then from when you really repent from something. But in Twisted Black’s case, he is not sorry. You know what I’m sayin'?

How can something made in your image become so wrong? How come everything that he touches starts to wither? Why is it when he delives only the real niggas shiver? I guess it's just the ice in his veins that makes them quiver. Or maybe they relate to his pain is what he figures.

He is a gorilla trapped in the frame of a small nigga. So many Hennesseys to his brain destroyed his liver. Spiritually he is not winning. He feels it descending. So he’s hell bound. He’s a dog now soon to become a hellhound. And I know, We all have our choices in life. That's half the fight because were don't make the right choices. Because he is a renegade until he dies. Every day he is face-to-face with the fact that he is failing in life.

Maybe just a moment with him could help Twisted Black get right and soften up his heart because right now he is incredibly bitter from being broke. He was born just to buck chest and chase cheddar.

But the streets ain't no punk, he had to stand his ground. He developed a complex and split wigs to earn his name and respect. He hustled on the south side of Fort Worth, Texas. That’s why he is old school with his. He ain't just rappin’.

Secrets exposed the secrets that Twisted Black had in his life. The song was about how Twisted Black was snorting cocaine in secret. Although it hurts him, he still has got to set the record straight. He has to keep it secret so can't nobody peep it. Ain't nobody knowin' about this nonsense. The song uses a stripped down soul sample from “45 single.

Although it hurts him, he still has got to set the record straight. He makes his music for them niggas forced to move the weight against the grain. Hustlin' every day to get the change by selling product. The ones that feel like getting a job or seeking employment is really out their range. They’ve been in the game so long until they caught up.

Don't like the way it comes but then don't stop the pockets knot up. The ones that flip and bulldoze with candy on the frame. The people that do not smoke marijuana but snort cocaine undercovеr behind closed doors on the down low. (Don't smoke no Mary Jane but undercovеr, snortin' 'caine.)

Twisted Black knows because he has been that samе road before. Twisted Black came up in the game and got a name from selling snow. He’s flippin' foreigns and droppin' screens and naked rough is showin’. But he done blew so much that if it dropped, you couldn't sweep it. Twisted Black is still player made by rockin' starch and ironed clothes.

His friends don't have a clue and can't imagine what's it's come to. Twisted Black has been undercover because he has been snorting snow (cocaine). Blowing to his powder until his nose chaffers. It's his secret and can't nobody peep it because habits like this ain't supposed to be happening to a star. Things like this be happenin' behind closed doors. He doesn't know nobody else to run to.

Twisted Black - Street Fame album review

Twisted Black - Street Fame is one of the best Fort Worth rap albums of 2006. These songs are Twisted Black’s autobiographical tales filled with distinctive poetry and party tracks. The album a balanced mixture of half gangsta rap songs and half club music.

He was destined to be the Snoop Dogg of Texas back in 2006. However that destiny and expectation was cut short when Twisted Black was found guilty of conspiracy to sell crack cocaine and sentenced to serve federal prison time at FCI Beaumont. Twisted Black is one of the best rappers from Fort Worth, Texas that is under appreciated.

Throw It Up is an anther for all the hustlers nationwide.

Twisted Black has got 4 or 5 hustlers that he feeds on his team.  He never leaves the crib without a pistol in lean. I bet he hustles harder than you do in your dreams. (You bet your sweet ass he does.) Now you can catch Twisted Black on the brake of a Corvette or a Beemer. He’s murderin' ink with a fine ghetto bitch that look better than Trina. And he keeps her cookied up like the bitch was a keeper. Either love or hate him, either way, your boy cool with it. Better ask somebody though because he’s a fool with it.

Yo Gotti is a hustler who hustles hard. I'm talkin' 7 figure home and four car garage. You can tell he is stuntin' hard. His chain is worth that Mastera. If you ain't know, that's a hundred thousand dollar car. His grind is tight because he has got his mind right.

He has seen his first thirty-six O’s. Baking soda, boiling water, and fish scaling too. His ounces jumpin' 35. Yo Gotti keeps that ether potent jumpin' like the Soul Train line. On the block servin' one at a time. Glock for Glock and straight up pop until somebody die. Yo Gotti does throw it up. Fuck them conspiracies.

Chyna Whyte has gotta get this money. They ain't gon' give you nothin’. Yeah she did that hustlin’. You know her pedigree. She talks that money. Her dro's full of heat as she got a hand on the stove. Chyna Whyte is Santa Clause in them streets as she has been on these roads. And it's not from that Snapple.

The chorus uses the simple typical Southern rap repetitiveness in the lyrics.

[Chorus: Twisted Black & Yo Gotti]
If you a hustlin' ass nigga, throw it up
If you a gangsta ass nigga, throw it up
If you're both of these niggas, and you will squeeze triggers (Yeah, yeah)
And you don't bar niggas, throw it up (Knahmtalkin' 'bout?)
If you a hustlin' ass nigga, throw it up (I'm from the nawf, dog)
If you a gangsta ass nigga, throw it up (Ay, this your boy, Gotti)
If you're both of these niggas, and you will squeeze triggers (You knahmtalkin' 'bout?)
And you don't bar niggas, throw it up

Shake is a dance song obviously. So dance and jiggle with them hips.

Twisted Black is sippin' drink in the back of the club like a pimp. He’s got his heat in the back of the club with a full clip.  Now he’s a known as a hustler and ain't gotta show it. But he keeps a couple grand in pocket. And he still has got dance moves. However he doesn't really dance. But he ain't scared to try as your boy ain't shy.

He spots a bad broad. Baby girl was doin' her every dance when she came out to Atlanta, Georgia. So he eases in her eyesight and baby went to shakin' ass. Backеd it up against his pelvis.  She went to tryna shake it fast. He’ll sit and watch while you get this sucker wired up. He be in the back of the clubbin' steady firin' up.

4 shots of Patron and he is now in the zone. He feels the music all in his bones. He ain't lookin' for no trouble but he will bust bubbles in a heartbeat. All a nigga gotta do is spark him. He hits the middle of floor. They got a nigga dancin' but he is so cool with it. Throwin' up the hustler. Little daddy a fool with it. Broads in the front and broads in the back. Don't touch his ass because he don't play like that.

Shake uses the simple typical Southern rap repetitiveness in the lyrics.

[Chorus: Twisted Black & Butta]
What's that dance that you're doin' on the floor? (Let it drop)
What's that dance that you're doin' on the floor? (Make it pop)
What's that dance that you're doin' on the floor? (Let it shake)
What's that dance that you're doin' on the floor? (Make it quake)
What's that dance that you're doin' on the floor? (Let it drop)
What's that dance that you're doin' on the floor? (Make it pop)
What's that dance that you're doin' on the floor? (Let it shake)
What's that dance that you're doin' on the floor? (Make it quake)

The Block is Twisted Black’s affirmation that despite seeing success with his music, he’s still committed to the profession he started with which was selling drug paraphernalia. The Block is a song for all the get money niggas (gettin money niggas).

Twisted Black has a sack full of work and a cup of that yac. Twisted Black is on the block 24/7 for my those that keep a sack. And you know your boy holdin' that heat.

Twisted Black is still on the block with it. He needs to buy a little stock in it. He ain't trippin' because he is still getting that whole thing. Just start officially inseminating that procaine. His partner 40 turned the bird into a bird and a half. So all the losses that he takes  don't be hurting his stash. Now that's a million dollar game. All Twisted Black has to do is cook it, cut up, and make it look like the same dope.

Him and his partner Dirty sit around and make toys. What they do in the process is take a half of things of work and plus the half trash. Then rinse it tight then put a stamp on it and re-cash. They have to let it dry good or it's gonna break funny. They ain't robbin' nobody because they can make money.

Man these niggas be rappin' hardcore. They probably never copped a whole thing of soft. Probably some beats, rhymes, and a studio. Maybe bought two or three whole things from Julio.

You can find Twisted Black on the block with a handful with studio gangsters engraved up on the handle.
Catch Twisted Black in the trap too. I ain't lyin’. He’s spittin' y'all some real shit.

Twisted Black calls out faker and pretenders in the lyrics to Verse 2.

[Verse 2]
Man these niggas be rappin' hardcore
They pro'ly never copped a whole thing of soft
Pro'ly some beats, rhymes, and a studio
Bought two or three whole things from Julio
You can find me on the block with a handful
Matter fact, I got a handful and a hand tool
Matter fact, I'm on the block with a handful and a hand tool
With studio gangster engraved up on the handle
Catch me in the the trap too
I ain't lyin', I be gettin' it like a black Jew
Just one TV and a PlayStation (Huh)
With a couch and a cater and a weigh station
And I'm worth about a mil' six
I ain't lyin', I'm spittin' y'all some real shit
So while I'm out there head first, and I ain't got to
Don't be shy, what's the name of this song?

Twisted Black rolls with killers and some cash getters. Something like some JAY-Z and Dame Dash niggas. His whole squad be gettin' it like a dream team. Twisted Black has got a partner named Jay and then his cousin Corwin. Just one look in his face can tell the whole story.

Everyday Twisted Black is gone off that drink leanin’ with him and Two Kag in his Caddilac with the magic paint. And ain't no soft backs allowed to eat up off his block. Twisted Black is on the block, standin' tall bitch.

I’m A Fool Wit It was Twisted Black’s biggest hit in 2006 which has the booming bass and beats to go along with his Southern sound. Twisted Black explains how he is a fool with it on his song called I’m A Fool Wit It. This one's for the radio so read between the lines.

Twisted Black is half man and half beast with it. He wears a white tee with the penitentiary crease in it. You might catch him in some Air Force Ones. the Mercedes Benz with license plate that says "AIRFORCE1". Twisted Black is a little bitty street dude known for his wordplay. Representin' Texas, but he ain't got a grill

The song is known for using these lyrics in the chorus.

[Chorus]
I'ma tilt my cup, I'ma blow my trees (Blow my trees)
I'ma ride twenty somethin's, somethin's under my Caprice
I'm a fool wit' it (Fool wit' it), I'm a fool wit' it (Fool wit' it)
I'm a fool wit' it (Fool wit' it), I'm a fool wit' it (I'm a fool wit' it)
I'ma stunt for the broads, catch hate from the guys
Still slam Caddy do's, but now they suicide
I'm a fool wit' it (I'm a fool wit' it), I'm a fool wit' it (I'm a fool wit' it)
I'm a fool wit' it (I'm a fool wit' it), I'm a fool wit' it (I'm a fool wit' it)

Coop MC - Home of The Killers Glory Dayz album review

Coop MC - Home of The Killers Glory Dayz was an alternate takes from songs recorded for the Home of The Killers album in 1995. This album was released in 2022 and captured his glory days of the mid 1990s. The album had the OG Blue Sunday, Home of The Killers, and My Woman. His album has classic remarkable Funky Town production from the legendary producer Ernie G. Ernie G was the sound of Fort Worth rap which is Funky Town rap. Southern soul and G-Funk are blended in with the sounds of dark gangsta rap. A majority of the songs on his album have a sad mournful vibe to them such as Blue Sunday and Home of The Killers. Many of the songs are not properly mastered because these songs were unreleased.

This is Southern fried reality rap. Funky Town rap from Fort Worth, Texas always seems to fly under the radar which is truly a shame. Home of The Killers, Contradictions, Currency, and Look What The Streets Made are some of the best Fort Worth rap albums ever made.

Coop MC - Home of The Killers Glory Dayz was a product of a time in Fort Worth when gang violence was higher than any city in the State of Texas next to Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston which was 1995.

Blue Sunday is a sad mournful song about how the good old days used to be. You can really say they gone. Home of the killers used to be at peace but it’s been so long. You can hear Ernie G’s sound all over the song due to the chords, basslines, and keys.

Now this version was an alternate take of Blue Sunday that is not on the Home of The Killers album. This version of Blue Sunday uses guitar chords which interpolate the notes from Street Military Intro from Another Hit EP. This version uses a flute where as the version of Blue Sunday on Home of The Killers doesn’t.

Coola Than Most is a beautiful laid back G-Funk track where Coop MC goes on to brag about how he is cooler than most people. The song has some thick ass basslines. Coop came with own his own groove on this one right here.
