FAKE TYPE. - FAKE SWING album review

FAKE TYPE. - FAKE SWING is the newest jazzy electro swing from electro swing duo FAKE TYPE. for 2022. This album serves as a representation of what Japanese electro swing is. The album uses modern electronic production backed with vintage swing jazz instrumentation. The duo have not lost their touch since their last album. FAKE SWING was their first album on a major label.

An Atelier was about an artist’s or designer’s studio/workshop. According to Dyes Iwasaki, The song was made to be a sequel to the song La Primavera as the same musical and artistic style was used.

The spark that emerges is in the sky. A running pencil is breathing life into it. It is so funny lie down on the sofa and become a beautiful dreamer. Can you imagine? The connected lines begin to swim. Seven colors of paint splash. A fleeting fairy with infinite possibilities. A smooth glittering display. Can you image?

The artist will steadily create a rough sketch with all the necessary processes.  Repeatedly renovating the ever-changing picture that grabs your heart with a retro texture. Working with piles of layers. Let's draw with a smile At Atelier. Trace your finger and don't skip.

真FAKE STYLE (Shin FAKE STYLE) is a perfect example of Japanese electro swing. The song showcases what Japanese electro swing is as the song uses lyrics from the Japanese language and English language as is the case with many FAKE TYPE. songs.

Swing jazz over modern electronic production and dance style bass lines are what represents the soundscape for this song. This song will certainly want to make you boogie woogie. This is Japanese electro swing.

You can feel their groove swinging. You can feel their swinging groove. Their grooves are refreshing thus doubling the happiness like a lightning bolt. They just wanna make you excited with enough madness to stir your core. Only the positive cheers that won't stop ringing from all over the world. It's a good time to make a fortune. An equalizer that shaves off a vulgar and trivial faction.

KYO [FAKE TYPE "Knickknack Kingdom"] is about a stubborn Japanese merchant with high expectations when digging for junk. The song uses a mellow beautiful bassline and the raging tones above it are vulgar. Not to mention rich in nature.

A stubbornly Japanese merchant digs through junk with high expectations as usual. He doesn't wait for the random odds. Just because it's free doesn't mean it's junk. It's ridiculous but it's a bargain that brings dreams. Is it cheap or rare? The Japanese merchant goes to a place where treasure sleeps. He is on a suspiciously large number of secret treasure hunts.

There he spots a Rotation Vendor. Don't underestimate Rotation Vendor. A noble smell that hides it casually. A sole shining solitude. That Rotation Vendor is suspiciously human. Too clogged with a romantic soul. If you drop the needle on the dusty and buried vinyl, it will turn into a dance floor. Viva la Swing Swing Bop!

Beauty Unique Boutique is about a unique beautiful beauty boutique with such gorgeous expensive high-end clothing on display that is elegant.

The Beauty Unique Boutique is located a place far from the center of this town. The smiling tulips in full bloom line the eaves. All of them are one-of-a-kind. The colorful pins are like candy. Beyond the open door is unexpectedly roomy. The sewing machine dances every day with a brisk step. Consistent silhouettes with mysterious colors. Ideas overflow from the sound of operation that doesn't stop. The master is standing secretly in a corner far from where the eye can see.

A display that rocks the mind and body with seasonal outfits. Even if the grass fades, the taste will shine forever. Whether it's a B product or not, someone who suits the clothing will eventually wear it. Is it worn? Or is there a gap?

Your eyes reflected in the mirror are sparkling. I can see you being fascinated with the clothing that is on display from the window inside. Once you remember the excitement without hesitation. Everyone's eyes are fascinated by the light work. The clothing is delicate yet so bold and smooth.

Regardless of whether it's a B product or not, you will find some clothing that suits you and you will eventually wear it. It's show time that comes to those who wear it. For better or for worse, what's on the inside is reflected on the outside. Dress up freely and dance the night away. Dress up as you like! Let's make you feel like that.

Swing music casually colors the atmosphere in one corner of the store. The town's number one tailor is a gorgeous dressmaker. The gorgeous dressmaker is hiding in the shadows today doing handicrafts. Size, style and color. Let's find the perfect match for you. Genderless free will in a casual atmosphere. Dress up as you like! Even if the grass fades, the taste will shine forever.

The song Deep Sea Swing is about a deep sea fish living in secret in the ocean. Deep Sea Swing is electro swing over trap beats. Honestly this is one of their worst songs on the album and is worth skipping. Electro swing and trap don’t always mix together. Neither do electro swing and rap.

Now of course there’s not many songs like Deep Sea Swing because it’s definitely a twist on their newer style which they are currently using.

A deep sea fish is swimming in the dark, deep, unknown underground ocean. It's a golden tail fin. A deep sea fish will never be exposed to the sun for the rest of its life. Whether it's raw or processed, it's awesome. Enjoy it tonight.

A golden tail fin can only smile awkwardly and can’t view things objectively thus ultimately heading in a dark direction, dismissing cruelties born from disparity in a masochistic way. Unaffected by violent waves. A golden tail is a dweller of the bottomless deep sea. Just moving on instincts.

Lil Romeo - Greatest Hits album review

Lil Romeo - Greatest Hits is a compilation album which included all of his top charting singles and Billboard successes to his name. The album included the 2001 hit single My Baby and 2005 single Bobblehead.

Nearly every song is memorable due to the beats and production. Those hard banging beats stood the test of time. Even today those beats produced by Mike Diesel and XL stand out. You can hear the influence Southern rap, pop rap, and children’s music has on this album. Many of his songs have catchy simplistic lyrics, over the top chanting, uptempo drum patterns, and obnoxiously loud synths. All while keeping it kid friendly for children and family. Lil Romeo’s Greatest Hits album is a kid friendly pop rap album that is family friendly no doubt.

His album was released when Southern rap was being a mainstay and was already mainstream. Rap was starting to become generic sounding at this point which is why Romeo received some flack and hate from rap fans, stans, and hip hop heads.

Bobblehead was the catchy lead single for his 2004 album Romeoland. Everything about this song from the beats to the synths, horns, and pads along with lyrics screams mid-2000s. You can hear the influence Southern rap, pop rap, and children’s music have on this song. His cousin Lil D raps a verse on the song.

The song is memorable for its catchy lyrics and horns. The chorus is no exception. The catchy lyrics to the chorus which went like this.

[Chorus]
I didn't come to run, I came to make you move
Take it to the floor, and act a fool
Shake it, shake it, shake it like a bobblehead
Shake it, shake it, shake it like a bobblehead

Now Lil Romeo does use some kid friendly lyrics in the song such as “You got ants in your pants and you need to dance Bounce up and down like a rubberband”

Here are some of the catchy lyrics that were used in the song.

Work ya body, move your feet
Bounce it like a ball, shake it to the beat

Go shorty, it's your birthday
Like you school bell ring on the first day
Move it like a fly girl

You got ants in your pants and you need to dance
Bounce up and down like a rubberband

Lil Romeo didn't come to run. He came to make you move. So take it to the floor and act a fool. Shake it, shake it, shake it like a bobblehead.

Romeo’s in the house and the party is pumpin’. The crowd is jumpin’. Everyone is ecstatic. Work your body and move your feet. Bounce it like a ball and shake it to the beat. Go shorty, it's your birthday. Like you school bell ring on the first day. Move it like a fly girl.

Lil D is in here. You know that his wrist glow. If you came to party, shorty, you and Lil D can take it to the floor. If your girl wants to leave, Lil D suggests you let her go. So you better stay in line.

Making moves like a rollercoaster. Lean low then shake them shoulders. But first, you gotta bounce to this. Lil D’s chain so icy even his diamonds got diamonds. Lil D was born to be a soldier and has got a heart of a lion. No Limit don't mess with no fakers. They’ll make you lose your squad like the LA Lakers.

Lil Romeo is just chillin and them girls are partying. He is trying to see if they can move like Indians. You know work it a little bit. Dip it low a little bit like Christina Milian. Lil Romeo is like 50 and Young Buck because he  always roll with banks. So you know what’s up.

If you don't like Lil Romeo, then you not with him. But its most likely that he’s got the tank with him all over the globe, He is a coast to coast G. A living legend like Mike and Kobe. If you don't know then don't speak about him. His flow too sick and too hard to fix. You’ll probably need some medical attention for this.

Lil Romeo pays homage and tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. with these lyrics in Verse 1. “Girl you looking cute, you came to dance/I’m like Biggie, baby give me one more chance”

My Cinderella was the lead single from Lil Romeo’s 2004 album which featured guest vocals and production work from Nick Cannon. The chorus heavily relies on sampling Shai - If I Ever Fall in Love. The chorus retains the original lyrics from that Shai song.

Lil Romeo is looking for a Juliet who will console him whenever he is troubled or something is bothering him. A little tight shawty who knows how to hold him tight. A little attitude but not controlling. A shawty with them pink Nike's and them passion jeans. He needs a girl sweet as a dove. Romeo sees and realizes he needs loving. He is looking for a Cinderella.

Everything about Whoodihoop screams 2000s. Especially 2004. This is because Whoodihoop has those catchy simplistic lyrics, over the top chanting, whistles, medium bass, uptempo drum patterns, and obnoxiously loud synths.

Here is one example of how catchy this song really is.

Whoodihoop, whoodihoop
Whoodihoop, whoodihoop
Whoodihoop, whoodihoop
Where them boys at
Where them girls at
Where them boys at
Where them girls at
Lean back, lean back
Lean back, lean back
Where them lil soldiers at? (lean back)
Where them lil soldiers at? (lean back)

Play Like Us was recorded during the time Little D’s Meet Me At The Playground album was being recorded but was used on Lil Romeo’s Game Time album since he wrote a majority of the song. The song had featured Lil Romeo, Lil D, and Tyron. Play Like Us was Number 1 on the Billboard Charts for a while back in 2002. Play Like Us was played on a Static Shock episode called "Romeo In The Mix".  The song was also used seasons 1 and 2 of of The Romeo! Show.

All the girls gonna be at the playground where Lil Romeo and Lil D are So y'all know where they’re gonna be at. Holla. If you feeling Richie Rich play with the girlies screaming every day. And you can play your ice this way. But can they hate? No way.

Lil Romeo was the youngest solider from the No Limit tank who had got the game fitted with The New No Limit back in 2002. The Game Time album kept the No Limit tank afloat. From Romie Rome to Richie Rich. Don't talk about dough 'cause he been had it. Learn the game quick and ya'll know who the teacher is. He is number 1 on the Billboard Charts. Lil Romeo is half kid half amazing.

There ain't too many players that could hang with Lil Romeo, Lil D, and Tryon. When they step up on the scene they are looking marvelous. All the haters say they ain't old enough. When the beat go just throw your hands up. Better hold on tight cause we about to bust. All the girlies rushing up to the cadillac truck. Richie Rich and Tyron, can you dig it?

Lil Romeo knows about cars and clothes. He paid the cost to be the boss in this music game. Lil Romeo is from the South. So he bites like a gator. Another year passed so his game got greater. Court side seats for the Sixers and the Lakers. Check out the wrist ice big like a blazer. The kid got flavor. He’s where you wanna be. You can't stop him.

Little D is in the 6th grade but you know he’s got bank. He rolls with a tank. Platinum iced out from his neck and wrist. He’s got a couple of candy girls that laid the zone. When the school bell rings, you know it's on.

[Lil D]
Call Lil D and I roll wit a tank
I'm in the sixth grade but you know I got bank
Platinum iced out when I roll the fees
Yo when the school bell ring baby roll wit me
Chrome wheeling standing pink baby sittin on chrome
Iced out from my neck and my wrist all
Two Way Lil Romeo and you know it's on
Got a couple candy girls that laid the zone

My Baby is about how girls be jocking Lil Romeo because they want to be his girlfriend. But he is too young and he says he doesn't need a girlfriend. My Baby also explains his success in music and sports.

Ex-No Limit label mate and songstress Ms. Peaches sung the chorus on Lil Romeo’s biggest hit. The song is heavily backed by the sample of The Jackson 5 - I Want You Back. My Baby was Lil Romeo’s biggest hit of 2001 and is his biggest hit to date. The music video to this song was constantly played on television channels such as Nickelodeon, BET, VH1, and MTV back in the year of 2001. Lil Romeo – My Baby was one of the best selling pop rap singles of 2001. My Baby was Lil Romeo’s biggest hit of 2001 and is his biggest hit to date.

They call Lil Romeo Lil P. He represents the CP3. Calliope, ya heard me? Straight from New Orleans, Louisiana. Lil Romeo has been engaged and participating in the sport of basketball since the age of 3. That is why he has got game like Kobe Bray and is dunking like his father Master P. There ain't no stopping Lil Romeo because he is in the zone. The clothing he wears is P. Miller wear and No Limit Gear from head to feet. It's like that, Whodi.

Girls be jocking Lil Romeo because they want to be his girlfriend. But he is too young and he says he doesn't need a girlfriend.

Lil Romeo was 11 years old making A's and B's at the time of his success and at the peak in/of his career. He had girls passing notes in class tryin to be his wife. Even at that age, he had grown women wanting to be in his life. By the time he was 18 he was not gonna be nothing nice. These little mami’s couldn’t keep their hands off him. He was a little boy but was living a big man's life.  He is part of the the next generation who came to lock it down.

As soon as Lil Romeo finishes high school, he will skip college to join the NBA Basketball League and the elites in hip hop/rap. During the time this song was being recorded and produced, basketball players were able to go join the NBA as soon as they graduated high school. That is what the lyrics, “After high school, I'm goin' straight to the pros (bounce, bounce)” mean.

Lil Romeo and Afficial will make you dance with their song Make You Dance. The song uses simplistic rhymes in a kid friendly manner.

If you wanna dance, I'ma make you dance. And if you wanna move, I'ma make you move. But if you down with No Limit say Romeo.

You know Romeo travels worldwide from the west to the east. He can't drive. So instead he has a chauffeur to transport him places. He can't drive. So in the passenger seat. Girls are constantly chasing him around. He is platinum plus, whodie. Check the fan mail. Who's stopping him now? You know he’s got the club jumpin’ like Destiny's Child. Lil Romeo’s a mini-millionaire. Pick a park to play. Six Flags, baby girl. You can have it your way.

Lil Zane says the lil shorty gotta mouth on him. A lot of homies are lookin out for him. Lil Zane knows that angels was lookin down on him when Master P gave him the opportunity to be featured on Lil Romeo’s song.

A baby hummer wasn't enough for Lil Romeo. So he had to purchase himself a Jaguar. Lil Romeo does not lie about anything. Look at his father Master P. He’s got the south on lock and sound on lock. Whodie, he is the best here. No Limit sweats and sneakers are the best gear. The girls love him when I step on the stage with his baby face going and his hair in the braids. He acknowledges that his body guards hate when he stops and waves. Lil Romeo has been in more cities than birthdays. Lil Zane and Afficial held it down with him on this song and Take My Pain Away.

Haters are mad that Afficial is bringin the heat and are the thing of the streets. They weren’t the thing of the streets in the previous year of 2000. And they are mad because Afficial is up in the Jag with Romeo having more cheese than Dominoes. They hate Afficial because they are the center of attraction. And like the Lakers on the tour. The best like Phil Jackson. That's how Afficial is bringin the heat.

Now there are differences in the lyrics to the 2002 version versus the 2001 version. Compare the lyrics from both versions to each other and read them. Afficial’s verses are not in the 2002 version for whatever reason(s). Lil Zane’s verse did not appear on the 2002 version due to a rights issue. He was signed to Priority Records at the time and Universal Records needed permission to include his verse on the 2002 version. Allusion aka Erica Fox sings the chorus to both versions.

Here are the lyrics to the 2002 version.

[Intro: Lil Romeo]
Yo, this is for the angels out there
What's up Aaliyah, and to my fans...

[Verse 1: Lil Romeo]

[Verse 2: Lil Romeo]
I don't know if it's my raps or how I play ball

Still lone and seen, P. Miller gear so clean

The girlies say they love me it must be the genes

[Verse 3: Lil Romeo]
Baby Hummer wasn't enough, had to get me a Jag
And I don't lie about nothin', man, look who my Dad

Here are the lyrics to the 2001 version.

[Verse 1: Lil Romeo]
You know I travel worldwide from the west to the east

Girls chasin' me around, wanna know my plans is

A lotta homies lookin out for him
First one to the south on him
Then we took it to the house on them
I know angels was lookin down on me when P put it down for me
I grew up without a poppa
Daddy missin
Single mother me and my brother watch you from the kitchen
Had a little gray pot she used to cook grits in
And I don’t know a broken home that ain't worth fixin’

[Verse 3: Lil Romeo]
Baby Hummer wasn't enough, had to get me a Jag
And I don't lie about nothin', man, look who my Dad
Got the sound on lock, whodi, I'm the best here
No Limit sweats and sneaks we got the best gear
The girls love me when I step on the stage
When my babyface glowin' and my hair in a braid
I know the bodyguards hate when I stop and wave
And I been in more cities than I have birthdays
Lil Zane and Afficial, they hold it down with me
No Limit Wireless, you need me, just hit me

Sepiatonic - Step Up EP EP review

Sepiatonic - Step Up EP is a unique intricate electro swing EP that uses a backdrop of vocal syncopations, seductive brass selection, and swing inspired horn lines to fit in with those jazzy grooves of theirs. The sultry vocals are peppered with frisky horns. It’s like a private show with the music blasting. Drop your drink and get in the groove. You can stay staccato or swing it smooth. So clap your hands! Step up! The EP has provocative songs about prostitution such as Partition and Midnight in Hollywood.

Harlequin Jones - The Bad Beginning album review

The Bad Beginning by Harlequin Jones uses a dash of cabaret punk and baroque pop that is very much female fronted. Much of the album is piano based as a piano is used in many of the songs. This is one of those darker and moodier steampunk albums. A fusion of rock, jazz, and cabaret music is used. Her sound is amazing and astounding. Her album has that nice antique 19th century feeling.

Flora Greysteel - From the Ground album review

Flora Greysteel - From the Ground is an experimental theatrical melodramatic punk cabaret album. The way Flora plays the glockenspiel is amazing and astounding. Her album has that nice antique 19th century feeling. The Vonnegut Ensemble makes the ensemble and orchestration sound perfect.

Introvert is a song which spoke to all the introverts and social outcasts in the world. Especially those people who have very few to no friends. And those with no social life along with those who have no social skills.

The rude or awkward behaviour of introverts may seem rude or awkward to extroverts. There are contrast differences between introverts and extroverts. That is what the lyrics, “It may seem like rude or awkward behaviour to the extroverts filling up this room.” imply. Their eyes glaze over not because you’re boring. That is just how they are. Introverts have their limits when it comes to socializing as extroverts do not. In some cases introverts are highly sensitive to socializing (socialization) and relationships.

This open plan living room looks great on paper. It may seem like rude or antisocial behaviour to the extrovert who designed this room. What else can they o avoid this awkward, antisocial behaviour? What introverts do is wrap themselves up in familiar places when their capacity is reached.

Afraid Of The Dark tells people to not be afraid of new things and accept new things that are occurring in life.

As the year becomes older our hearts become colder. The days are getting so dark. The cold seeps in stronger as magic surrenders to everyday sensible thoughts. So you bottle it up and put it in a shop. But it doesn’t feel real anymore. The lights are turned on and the trees standing tall. But it’s not something you can afford. New traditions could be for the better. But people need time to get used to this feeling of change.

Everyone’s gathering in anticipation of what this new life will bring. The days are getting longer and warmer and brighter. The world’s filled with magical things. Though we all scatter as everyday living distracts us and keeps us apart from each other though. A new spark is burning. A new heart is beating. So don’t be afraid of the dark. Suspend disbelief.

These lyrics tell people to not be afraid of new things and accept new things that are occurring in life as that is part of life.

Everyone’s gathering in anticipation
Of what this new life will bring
The days getting longer and warmer and brighter
The world’s filled with magical things

Though we all scatter and everyday living
Distracts us and keeps us apart
A new spark is burning. A new heart is beating
So don’t be afraid of the dark

We’re praying it won’t flood this year. As the days become colder, our hearts getting older. We’re missing the ones who aren’t here. Families grow bigger and farther apart. And we gather, but it’s not the same.

Giacomo Toni - Ballate di ferro album review

Ballate di ferro by Giacomo Toni is some of the most beautiful piano punk in the history of music. The way this Italian composer arranged his instrumentation was classical and phenomenal. His whole entire album has that cantautorale vibe and sound. Giacomo Toni is one of the best Italian songwriters currently.
