This is Michael Mixerr. I will review Homiside - Off The Streets Of Saginaw. This cassette was only available in Saginaw, Michigan. This was in 1992. This EP is filled super heavy pounding bass lines & notes. Homiside was Dat Nigga Bone aka Bone Skanless of the Skanbino Mob. Bone Skanless recorded the two tracks
Here comes the brotha from the gutta outta Saginaw! on the track Off The Streets Of Saginaw. Off The Streets Of Saginaw super heavy pounding bass lines & notes over gangsta rap lyrics mixed in with distorted lo-fi production. Homiside tells us why the city of Saginaw is a living hell. It's still true but even worse these days. Hank raps "Here comes the brotha from the gutta outta Saginaw!"
Livin' Haunted reminds me very much of Mack Tha Jack'a - Cross Thoughts. Livin' Haunted reminds me of early ICP juggalo raps and the early House Of Krazees horrorcore acid rap sound. Very garage sounding and lo-fi. It too is very distorted but I don't care what other people have to say!
Homiside was overlooked and underrated back in the 1990s. I will always miss him and his music. Bone Skanless, Mack Tha Jacka, and Dirty Jerk should have blown up on a national scale. They just didn't have the money to push it right. If they had, that would have been a different story.
I rate this EP, Off The Streets Of Saginaw, 5/5*****!!
