Marco Rubio is/was one of the Republican candidates for the Primary Elections of 2016 along with Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Ben Carson among others. He represents his home state of Florida as a political candidate. Marco Rubio on the other hand has gained more votes for being in the Republican Party caucus. He is currently behind Ted Cruz in votes. Rubio won in states such as Florida and Texas due to lukewarm support from the GOP.
Rubio won only 1 state on Super Tuesday due to him being a Republican. Political support for Marco Rubio is rather lukewarm these days because him supporting the GOP, his conservative political beliefs, and him being a member of the Republican Party caucus.
