Mixerr Album Reviews #807

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review Lil Raskull - The Day After.

Lil Raskull made his comeback after his lackluster Gory 2 Glory album forp the new millennium in 2000. The lyrics are great and the tunes are awesome. He tries hard to get his lyrics to match the music. He is more lyrical and descriptive on this album than Gory 2 Glory album. Nonetheless, album still rocks.

Down South tells us tomorrow ain't promised to you. You need to choose today. By God's word of glory, nothing is promised to you in life. You'll been hell bound with demons if you keep thinking with an entitlement attitude. Lil Raskull preaches street sermons on this album and the track, Down South, is one of them. Tales of mayhem occur on this track. Blaq Gold lends his key production skills on this track.

The Day After tells us tomorrow ain't promised to you. You need to choose today. Nobody knows what's going to happen on the day after. No one can predict the future. No one knows when God's judgement day will come. God's judgement is divine. We need to trust the faith in God.

Few Are Chosen is a smooth, sultry, soulful religious track backed with a harmonious choir. The mood is quite time. Few Are Chosen was a good way to end the album for Lil Raskull. It's quite soothing for your inner soul.

I rate this album, The Day After, 5/5*****!!
