Mixerr Album Reviews #812

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review X-Raided - Sacramentally Disturbed.

Sacramentally Disturbed is more aggressive in comparison and nature. X-Raided gets involved into sociopolitical conscious rap on this album on top of gangsta rap. The album has somewhat a positive, mature feel to it. He accomplished and presented that very well on this album.

Sacramentally Disturbed describes the Sacramento state of mind. Sacramento is the birthplace of the Siccness. Law enforcement has an overbearing presence there. The governor and attorney general lives there. Criminals and drug dealers live there. It's home of the macks, pimps, gang bangers, and hoes. Anyone raised on the streets of Sacramento had to know what they were up against since day one.

Sacramentally Disturbed is more aggressive in comparison and nature. Sacramentally Disturbed has a sociopolitical/gangsta rap feel to it meaning that the track Sacramentally Disturbed is sociopolitical, conscious, and gangsta all at the same time.

X-Raided tackles the political subject of recidivism on the track Recidivism. Recidivism is caused by asinine laws in the legal system, corrupt politicians, unemployment, mental illness, poverty, crime, personality, and various other factors that effect our current laws in the legal system today. These are all recidivism issues in criminal law inside the legal system. Individuals who repeat the infamous cycle of recidivism are often likely mentally disabled or psychologically ill. These inmates need jobs in the workplace in order to break the cycle in order to break the vicious cycle of recidivism. Not only that, these inmates need therapeutic help or medical treatment they are unable to access due to unemployment and many other factors leading to recidivism.

People commit crimes, go to prison, end up on parole or probation, then go right back. Recidivism happens for many reasons. Some prisoners are beyond help no matter what the situation is at hand. Some prisoners are in dire need of help for rehabilitation and education only to find out the department of corrections is not an actual system for correction or rehabilitation.

Prison is a revolving door. The department of corrections feeds off of criminal behavior. This only makes criminal worse. It doesn't better them or benefit them. Takes this subject to heart.

She's Got Brainz deals with the intelligence of women. X-Raided demonstrates the ability to write about relationships, intelligence, integrity, love, and sexuality without resorting to violent disrespectful and dishonest generalizations and stereotypes. It's incredible how X-Raided handled this track.

Who Am I is the reintroduction of X-Raided. He takes on aliases such as X-Raided Loc, Nefarious, the West Coast Messiah, 0024, and XXIV for instance. There is a hidden message in the chorus. [11:30 military time + 1/2 an hour is 24:00 hours.]

I rate this album, Sacramentally Disturbed, 5/5*****!!
