The former Guadalupe High School of Seguin, Texas dates back to the late 1840s and 1850s. Guadalupe High School was chartered on the date of December 3, 1849. This was the first Seguin school financed by tax dollars. The school was in use by 1850. The site was used by Lutherans as school building in 1880. The Lutheran Church used the Guadalupe High School building as a church in the 1880s. Guadalupe High School is said to have been located where Mary B. Erskine Junior High School is located today.
