This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review Lil Slim - Thug'N & Pluggin' .
Thug'N & Pluggin' was the first and only actual full length album Lil Slim released in 1995 on Cash Money Records. New Orleans bounce meets gangsta rap. Thug'N & Pluggin' was released after the successful Powder Shop album was released. The original release came without parental advisory and without a barcode. Both editions were manufactured by Discmakers. The CD version has the same catalog number as the cassette version.
Live In Club Rolex (Real High) is a track that was recorded during a live concert at Club Rolex in Downtown New Orleans sometime between 1994-1995. Baby was responsible for most of the production of course.
Time to murder is a raw rap song that featured former Cash Money artists Mr. Ivan and Kilo G. Kilo G had the best verse. They ripped this joint. Time to murder was definitely an underrated track during an underrated time in when New Orleans rap was overlooked by the major record labels.
I rate this album, Thug'N & Pluggin’, 4/5****!!
