This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review Bloody Mary - On In The Club for a single review.
On In The Club is a single filled club music perfect for the dance floor or to boogie to. Although not too similar to dance rap. West Coast rap meets dance music on this Bloody Mary single. Bloody Mary adds a bit of that East Coast flavor to this single with her accent and vocals.
The 2 songs from this single were recorded in 1998 during Bloody Mary’s music stint while being singed to Mark Taylor of Kool & The Gang’s label Taylor Made Records outta East Palo Alto, California. Both songs were recorded and mixed at Quality Studios in East Palo Alto, California. Andre Taylor was the producer for this single. Tebo Thibeaux was the person responsible fo the guitar selection on both songs. The CD single was released on Taylor Made Records in 1999.
On In The Club was a dance floor inspired rap song inspired by Michael Jackson - Billie Jean which the whole song samples of course. The song On In The Club is something that will want to make you get up on the dance floor and boogie. No wonder the song is called On In The Club (P.M.S.). Honestly the song should have called If It’s On In The Club (P.M.S.) or If It’s On In The Club (DJ Play My Shit). Tebo is responsible for the funky guitar notes you hear.
Wherever We At is a dark club music filled rap song featuring Kid Frost and JT of N2Deep. Wherever We At is perfect for a late night creep or a solo creep. JT of N2Deep stands out the most with vocals on this song. Stacking skrill seems to be the objective of the song.
*Bloody Mary is none other than Nini X aka Rajni Faulks.
*Tebo Thibeaux is Tebo on bass.
I rate this single, On In The Club, 5/5*****!
