Mixerr Album Reviews #1,507

This is Michael Mixerr. This noon I am reviewing Peter Nic - Alonely.

Alonely is a Peter Nic album that delves into why we sometimes feel alone during certain times of our lives. There's something about being alone that affects your thoughts, emotions and life choices. Being alone vs being lonely are two very separate things. You essentially don't know where to go. Alonely was released as an internet album online in 2017. The album cover artwork and title for this album are stylized as “A.LONE-LY”. Alonely is regarded as one of the best R&B/pop albums of 2017!

Imagine that you've decided to take on a life of artistic creativity, which by the way has no guaranteed income or reliability. And now you're constantly falling into a lull because every door you knock on has nobody home. So you essentially don't know where to go.

Alonely is a song about Peter’s girlfriend and being lonely. Alonely is a “leave me out to be alone now” type of song. Being alone vs being lonely are two very separate things.

Peter has a girlfriend who he knows treats him good. She’s never whiny even though she knows she could. Peter kept her close to him. Peter keep it in no anymore. He has expressed desire to stay with his girlfriend. Who says you should feel bad about it? The thoughts beating round in your head. Who says we can’t talk about it?

Peter expresses desire to stay with his girlfriend in the following verses.:
Like nothing has ever been said
Well I just wanna talk about it
'cause I wanna stay with you right now

Peter tells the listener(s) “Don’t you know what it’s like to have nothing from something you planned?”. So f***ing lonely. It is clear that Peter is very lonely.

Stranger is about how you’re watching yourself from someone else's perspective. It’s like you’re watching yourself from someone else's perspective and you are judging yourself because you don’t visually have something or anything to prove like everyone else around you. Stranger is about how people change over time.

Seeing people that were different just yesterday is a complete change from your perspective. You’re not that different from everyone else though. It’s just stranger how someone else's perspective changes about you and yourself. What you are now and what you were back then are two completely different things. Things ain’t how they used to be.

Look At The Time explores how Peter used to be in the past. And it’s not perfect timing and nothing is aligning where he wants. He has the “I’m my worst enemy” feeling on this song. There’s no hiding the truth. Time has made no difference yet still something is wrong.

During the play-out is where Peter Nic falls in too deep as Sum 41 did in 2000. Who knows if this might have been Peter’s intention or not.

[Play-out]
We may fall in too deep I know
I know
We may fall in too deep I know
I know
We may fall in too deep I know
I know

Green Jackets is a unique and interesting song about being like everyone else or being the same like a clone. What is unique about this song is its title. You would have thought with a title such as “Green Jackets” that this song would be about sports. However that is not the case.

A reference to being a clone can be heard during Verse 2.

[Verse 2]
Time to set the pace now will ya
Be the first to lead the chase we say
It’s a kind of clone-like space
Is there any reason why you look a lot
Like the others round the place
We say

I rate this album, Alonely, 5/5*****!!
