Mixerr Album Reviews #1,768

MJ Freeze - I Be Sidin' (Side to Side) is a product of early Sacramento hip hop and rap from the late 80s. This single has that West Coast rap feel laced a touch of East Coast hip hop and a handful of funk. The funkiness is what really stands out. This single was released as a 12” vinyl single on Jet Set Records and was distributed by Quality Records from New York City, New York.

MJ Freeze is one of the lesser known rappers from Sacramento, California compared to his peers Brotha Lynch Hung, C-Bo, X-Raided, Marvaless, T-Nutty, Foe Loco, First Degree The D.E., and Phone Beta.

I Be Sidin' (Side to Side) incorporates rap lyrics, funkiness, and tuntablism in one song. I Be Sidin' (Side to Side) samples the funky West Coast classic One Way - Cutie Pie.

MJ Freeze has homies all over the world. He has the posse behind his back when he steps into the place. MJ Freeze was born a player. He clowns on suckers hard. To all the girls, MJ Freeze will rock your pants if you give him a chance. If she don’t call when he beeps her, she can cold get on.

Now MJ Freeze is mixing the alcoholic beverages of gin and Super Sonic. He calls his lover on his cellular phone. However homegirl ain’t ever home. The Easy Money Posse stay cold clocking G’s. The Easy Money Posse are ill young brothers down with MJ Freeze.

In the 916 is about coming up and making money. MJ Freeze makes his money on the streets selling his music among other things. He has never had a job. In the 916 explains in rap form daily life in Sacramento, California.

MJ Freeze met this girl who was raw. She lived in the Greenhaven neighborhood. He broke her jaw because he was pissed. Her boyfriend tried to intervene but got shot by MJ Freeze. She got fucked in the 916.

I rate this single, 5/5*****!
