Mixerr Album Reviews #1,883

I-Cue ‎– Twisted & Funky is a soundscape of mixed musical genres such as jazz, electronic, and hip hop. This album is instrumental for the most part. The whole album has that funky vintage sound.

Dig This is a jazz instrumental which uses drums and upright bass. Upright bass is what gives away a vibe of upbeat swing jazz. The bass is what really stands out. (Well, high bass to be exact.) Instrumentation for this song is looped. Dig This samples DJ Krush - Roll & Tumble. Listen to the organ that plays and you can tell.

Keepin' It On uses a distorted jazz sample with an electronic sound. The song uses medium bass. The instrumentation for this song is placed on a continuous loop.

Vibes is a saxophone influenced jazz instrumental which uses heavy bass. The song uses multiple layers of instruments. An example of some of the instruments used are a kick drum, xylophone, saxophone, and upright bass. The bass really stands out.

Booda Brain uses a barrage of heavy beats and super thick bass. Not to mention a hodgepodge of samples, vinyl cuts, and acoustics.

I rate this album 5/5*****!!
