Cass Commerce is one of the forgotten colleges of Detroit that has almost been lost with time. Cass Commerce had ties with Cass Union School and Cass Tech High School.
Cass Commerce was a business and technical school, which was actually a college, that was constructed in 1909 and opened in 1910. This college was operated by Detroit Public Schools from 1910 to 1964. It was connected to Cass Tech High School by a bridge over Henry Street. It attached Cass Tech High School to Cass Commerce over Vernor Street. This business and technical school was intended for college students interested in learning a trade. Cass Commerce was demolished in 1964 to make way for construction of I 75.
Cass Commerce was located at Grand River and High Street, Detroit, Michigan, US 48201.
