The State of Texas government has proceeded to continue lane expansion of Loop 410 (I 410) and highway purposes as part of an eminent domain proceeding titled The State of Texas vs. Steve Tom Evans, et ux, etal. This is so the State of Texas can continue lane expansion of Loop 410. The State of Texas and City of San Antonio have condemned property in the Eastgate subdivision along Loop 410 and Eunice Drive in Northeast San Antonio for public use and highway purposes through a lis pendens.
The State of Texas government has proceeded to demolish a residence for expansion of Loop 410 (I 410) and highway purposes as part of a 2019 eminent domain proceeding titled The State of Texas vs. Steve Tom Evans, et ux, etal. The State of Texas and City of San Antonio have condemned property in the Eastgate subdivision along Loop 410 and Eunice Drive in Northeast San Antonio for public use and highway purposes through a lis pendens.
The City of San Antonio has transferred the property located in the Eastgate subdivision to the State of Texas for highway purposes and public use. The property transfer proceeding is now pending and affects the hereinafter-described real estate property situated in San Antonio, Texas.
So the City of San Antonio has condemned the property in the Eastgate subdivision in Northeast San Antonio by placing 2 liens on the property that was formerly owned by Steve Tom Evans earlier in 2020. The City of San Antonio established and placed these liens on Steve Tom Evans on behalf of the City of San Antonio, Texas for the securing of an occupied building that had been declared to be a danger to the public.
The City of San Antonio transferred the property to the State of Texas and TXDOT after the property was condemned for highway use. Steve Tom Evans has been charged with close to $5,000 dollars worth of liens from the City of San Antonio. However he has yet to pay off these liens.
Plaintiff Steve Tom Evans acknowledged the lis pendens as part of the eminent domain proceeding last year during the summer of 2020 at probate court. However there is uncertainty on whether or not Christoper Espinoza has acknowledged the lis pendens as part of the eminent domain proceeding.
The plans are to widen Loop 410 by 2 lanes by a 2-lane expansion over parcels of vacant land facing Eunice Drive and Loop 410. A 2-lane expansion is to be expanded to overlap a portion of Eunice Drive by less than 8 blocks. More than 2 blocks of land will be cleared to make room for highway expansion. This includes the property which was once owned by Steve Tom Evans. Expansion will continue as all structures have been demolished and removed. Work will continue all throughout April 2021.
