Edison Junior High School was also known as Edison School, Edison Middle School, and Thomas A. Edison Middle School. A handful of names this school had went under during its years of operation.
Edison Junior High School was constructed on a 3.498-acre parcel in 1924. Improvements were originally constructed in 1928 with two gymnasiums and a large auditorium. Framing for this building used reinforced concrete. The walls are a mixture of drywall and painted brick. The interior floor finish consists of: linoleum tile, terrazzo tile, hardwood cedar, and concrete flooring of course.
